Ch19

As soon as they arrived at camp Percy immediately headed towards his cabin where he saw a familiar figure. "Tyson!" The cyclops' eyes lit up.

"Percy!" Tyson ran to him with joy in his eyes, and the two quickly hugged.

"I missed you man how are you." All the bitter feelings about being related to Tyson seemed to wash away, he was glad to have him and glad he was better.

Teras fell down Tyson's face. "Ethan told me you left to get help for me, he was a good friend."

"That's good to hear," he said as he looked up at Tyson. A sense of relief washed over him, despite being embarrassed by him he wasn't ashamed of being Tyson's friend.

Tyson smiled and nodded. "Thank you. Daddy also sent me an invitation to work down in his forges."

"Oh ok that's nice," he said. Well good for you.

Ethan then came out. "Uh hey guys glad you're all back. Clarisse brought the medicine and we gave it to Tyson."

Percy smiled. "Yeah. Thanks for everything."

Chiron then came up to them and cleared his throat. "Excuse me Mr. Torrington can we speak for a moment?"

Alabaster looked surprised. "Uh sure, see you later Percy."

He nodded and turned to Ethan. "Thanks for protecting him."

"No problem," Ethan said. "I made sure he was safe." The son of Nemesis looked up at the sky. "It wasn't easy but I'm glad I was able help out even if it was only a little bit."

"Thanks." It was then that he noticed a bunch of campers run to the tree. "What's going on?"

They all ran to Thalia's tree where to their surprise a teenage girl with black hair knelt on the ground. "Thalia!" Annabeth yelled as she ran to hug the girl.

Chiron and Alabaster came over. "Welcome back Thalia Grace, I guess the fleece really did its magic," Chiron said his face betraying shock. There was a sense of trepidation in the air as Chiron looked at him and then Thalia.

"Th-Thanks," Thalia muttered as Annabeth and Clarisse helped her up.

"You two take her to the Zeus Cabin," Chiron said.

Annabeth and Clarisse immediately helped Thalia walk as the campers made way for them. "Oh gods another child of the big three," Grover muttered.

Yeah me and her. Another forbidden child.

Alabaster folded his arms his face was calm as he looked at the daughter of Zeus. "I guess the fleece was stronger than I thought, if I get the chance I might study it."

"What did Chiron want from you?" He asked.

The son of Hecate scanned the area carefully. "Oh we just talked about my mother, he'll probably explain it to you too." His voice was calm but there was a hint of joy in it as if he had received the best news in the world.

He raised an eyebrow, Alabaster definitely was hiding something. "Uh ok."

"Come on we've all been busy lets enjoy the remainder this summer," Ethan said.

Alabaster smiled and nodded as Lou came running up to them. "Come on lets do something together!"

He couldn't argue with that.

Annabeth sat by the lake watching the water ripple. So much has happened. Thalia's return was something she would've never suspected. She spent the entire evening with her friend catching up before letting her retire.

"Yo wise girl."

She turned around to see Clarrise, her gaze neutral as she sat down on the other end of the log. "H-Hey," she said softly. It's weird that she calls me wise girl and not mean it as an insult. A part of her still saw her as a bully but after their quest together there was a sense of camaraderie that she felt towards the daughter of Ares and looking into her eyes she could see a level of respect in them.

"We did it," Clarisse said softly as she peered off into the distance. "We completed the quest and saved the camp."

"We made our parents proud," she said carefully. "Athena's wisdom and Ares' strength." They worked together even though she thought it wouldn't be possible.

Clarisse gave her a small smile and nodded. "True that wise girl."

If someone were to tell her that she would go on a quest with Clarisse and sympathize with her she would've called that person crazy. Yet here she was with the daughter of Ares having completed a quest together a somewhat mutual respect having been forged between them.

"How's Thalia doing?" Clarisse asked.

She sighed. "She's resting and taking it all in." A shiver went down her spine. "She was very close to Luke."

Clarisse frowned as if trying to hold an insult back. "The sooner she knows the truth and accepts the sooner she can face the world when it comes to her."

It was then that Percy Jackson came into view. The Son of Poseidon and Grover were talking with those people, the children of the minor gods. They were laughing and having fun with that black pegasi Percy saved. Just watching them hang out and laugh amongst each other made her blood boil.

I'll show you next time seaweed brain. When I get a quest I'll show you well I can execute it without your help. He and those people showed her and Clarisse, up, next time she'll show them how a quest is to be done. She'll execute it flawlessly.

Not just him I'll show him I'm better than those extras. Her gaze narrowed in on Lou Ellen. The daughter of Hecate was having an intense conversation with Percy, just watching Lou touch his arm and whisper in his ear made something inside of her growl. They're just using him, is he that stupid to realize it?

Clarisse chuckled. "I guess we also inherit our parents' rivalries."

She frowned. "What do you mean?"

Clarisse got up and shook her head. "Don't worry wise girl I'm sure you'll beat him one day with one of your brainy plans."

A smile spread across her face. "Oh I'll show him what I can do."

With that Clarisse left. A part of her wanted to go talk to Grover but seeing him and Percy act all chummy made her want to do something else. So she mostly spent the day doing whatever other task that needed to be done.

Later that day she ran into Grover. "Hey Annabeth do you want to join us in the Hecate Cabin?" The satyr asked.

She was taken aback by the offer. "What for?"

Percy frowned his gaze as calm as the sea before a storm. "They are going to have a séance and invited us. Lou wanted to know if you'd like to come"

She rolled her eyes. "Those aren't real."

"Well they think they are," Percy said his gaze hardening. "While we are at it. Stop it."

She raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me?"

"Stop it," Percy repeated his gaze hardening. "Stop the children of Hecate or any child of a minor goddess like they are inferior or you'll have to deal with me. They deserve to be treated with respect just like a child of an Olympian."

Her blood boiled. Why would he care so much about them? Was he that blind and stupid to see how they were just using him? "What's so great about those extras," She said through gritted teeth.

She wasn't expecting Percy to get up in her face his gaze as hard as the ocean on a stormy night. "Call them extras again I dare you." His voice was low like the tide, for a moment she feared he'd attack her.

Her posture went rigid as she met his gaze, she didn't back down but a part of her considered it as she looked into his eyes which were now as stormy as the sea. She instinctively reached for her knife ready for a fight.

Grover shifted awkwardly. "Yeah Annabeth they are nice people. Lady Hecate has even been helping me in my search for Pan."

The tension between them was so thick she could cut it with a knife. "You wouldn't know good company if it hit you in the face," she said through her teeth.

"Oh I can tell," Percy said calmly. "You're a bully."

She did a double take. "Excuse me?" Her a bully? People loved her, she was one of the most respected demigods in the camp.

"I've dealt with many of them before," Percy said calmly. "I've seen how you look down on Alabaster's siblings and Tyson, you're nothing but a bully who thinks they are better than them."

She gripped her knife. "Why you-"

Suddenly Grover started clapping and singing. "Oh golly the road's getting bumpy because I got me some friends who just can't get along."

The sheer awkwardness of the song made them both turn to Grover in confusion. The satyr smiled sheepishly. "It's a consensus song. I'm sure we can all reach a consensus."

Percy shook his head. "Anyway if you have nothing good to say about them keep it to yourself. Goodbye."

She was about to retort but Percy turned around and left. Grover awkwardly looked at both of them before following Percy.

Her blood boiled as she walked him away. I'll show him that I'm better than them. Her pride flared inside of her, she would show him what a daughter of Athena could do. She had been saved by him and Alabaster but she would show them what she can do when she got her own quest. Athena's wisdom beats Hecate's tricks and Poseidon's strength any day. She would show him, she would definitely show him how much better she is. How she was better than those people.

Hera sat next to her husband in Olympus during their weekly breakfast. Her husband had remained silent though the air around her was tense.

"She's back," Zeus said simply. "Another forbidden child." The air hung ominously around her husband as a mixture of fear and melancholy hung with each word that he spoke.

She clenched her fists resisting the urge to get upset. "Of course."

Zeus looked at her and rested in his chair. "Those children Hecate battled father's forces am I correct?"

"You are." Hecate historically had helped the Olympians in the past and even though she had no throne the goddess always seemed to catch the attention of a few people here and there.

"She's been spending time with my brother's wife," Zeus muttered. "Even Nemesis goes there? Why doesn't she come here?" There was a bit of anger in his voice that took him by surprise. This was a type of anger she noticed when her husband felt like his brothers were taking something of his.

She frowned. "Minor goddesses have to be invited to Olympus."

Zeus folded his arms. "Back in the day, Nemesis would always execute my justice. She punished hubris and exacted revenge on those I couldn't and yet she's never here?"

Now normally she would irritated yet her husband's jealousy wasn't lustful, he was indignant that one of his former allies was potentially being poached by Poseidon.

Olympus is going to face a war soon. She was not immune to the discontent of the minor gods, many of whom were forgotten and left to the sides. Ever since Percy Jackson declared his loyalty to help Hecate there were whispers among the minor gods about the hero who they viewed as the champion for their recognition.

We'll need all the allies we can get. Hecate was strong. Deep down she knew it would be foolish to have her as an enemy. An idea came to form in her head, it was risky but she would do anything for her family, the family of Olympus. "My lord we could always invite Nemesis here, are there any beings you wished punished?"

"Many," Zeus muttered. "Too many. Though I know my brother Poseidon is trying to woo Nemesis and Hecate, give them seats on the council so they can vote his way. I won't allow it!" Thunder rumbled in the distance.

"My lord perhaps we could show them our own charm and win them over to our cause? Maybe we could invite them over and you can show them how we host deities." Zeus didn't like being told what to do and she couldn't tell him to his face that maybe Poseidon was doing a good thing trying to show respect to the two minor goddesses.

We'll need allies lots of them. If Olympus were to survive the coming crises she'd have to look into who else could help the family of Olympus. Personally she'd be willing to make a few concessions and get along with both Hecate and Nemesis along with other gods. We all need to make sacrifices.

Zeus stroked his beard and nodded. "I'll consider it. Send them gift baskets and I want to send a personal letter to Nemesis. She always did have a way of enacting vengeance on others."

"Of course my lord," she said. Right now we can use all the allies we can get. War is coming and Olympus needs to be prepared.

AN: Yes I put the consensus song from the show here, thought it'd be funny lol.

Thanks for all the support about my story of harassment in this fandom. People find it hard to believe that I've had a harder time with trolls in this fandom than in the some well known toxic anime fandoms. But I'm managing, I just block any and all potential trolls and I stay away from certain areas of the PJO fandom like r/camphalfblood (the moderators harass people here and out right threaten people with violence if confronted) and tumblr.

Now I just ignore them and focus on my own happiness

As for the Disney+ show I enjoyed it but it had its flaws in my opinion. I have seen people get harassed for saying that and not agreeing with a lot of the decisions made in the show. I've heard of a few content creators who've been harassed for not making the characters look like how they are portrayed in the show. Some people need to learn that content creators are people to and these are free hobbies.

Anyway thank you all for your support and encouragement.
