Chapter 1

Rin Tohsaka was in her room as she stared out the window. She was locked up in a mental facility called Lavender Hills Sanitarium. The thought of being stuck in this mental facility when she wasn't insane just irritated her. To think how she ended up here was when her entire plan fell apart.

It all dated back 5 years ago when she first had an affair with Shirou Emiya, who was dating her sister, Sakura Matou at the time. At some point, Rin became pregnant with their child. She gave birth to the child and named him Mamoru.

However, Rin became scared and felt she was not fit to be a mother to Mamoru and thought he deserved better. After Sakura found out the baby was the result of Shirou's affair with Rin, she left him. Ashamed of ruining the relationship her sister had with Shirou, Rin decided to give up the baby for adoption and lied to Shirou that the baby died while she gave birth.

Mamoru had been adopted by Laki Olietta and her husband, Max Alors. By a mere strange of fate, Laki had hired Rin to be the nanny to Mamoru. Around that time, Rin was in a relationship with Shirou again, and at some point, she realized that the baby she was a nanny too was her own son.

Realizing she made a mistake giving up her own son, Rin began conducting a scheme to get her son back. She figured if she could somehow make Laki look like a bad mother, Social Services would have no choice but to take Mamoru away from her custody. Wth Mamoru in Social Services care, she could use that to advantage to take her son back.

She began seeing her friend, Illyasviel "Illya" von Einzebern, who was the young but ruling heiress of the Einzbern family. Rin asked her to buy her a small dosage of LSD and to not ask questions. Illya agreed to purchase the drug and gave it to Rin, who went over to have dinner with Laki and Max.

The minute Rin slipped the LSD in Laki's drink, that was when everything went wrong. By a mere accident, young Mamoru accidentally switched the drinks and gave Rin the one that contained the LSD she slipped in.

What happened next was Rin began to have hallucinations and reacted very violently and began to slip into insanity. Because of this, Shirou called the hospital and had her committed, where they took her away to Lavender Hills Sanitarium.

A month had passed since she had been stuck here at this insane asylum. Meanwhile, she knew right now Laki was cuddling her son who continued to call her 'mommy.' In order to stay in touch with what was going on with Laki and Max, Rin recruited her mother, Aoi Tohsaka to continue with her schemes and manipulation.

Aware that Max had a serious heart condition, Aoi arranged to talk to him outside the back of Magnolia hospital where she revealed that Mamoru was the son of both Shirou and Rin. Shocked by this news, Max suffered a heart attack while Aoi left him there to die. By the time the hospital got to him, it was already too late to save him.

As Laki sat by his side as he died, he was able to reach his last words to his wife and informed her that Mamoru was Rin and Shirou's son. Fearful that Mamoru could be taken away if Rin ever got out, she consulted with her lawyer Raye Penber to arrange a new will that would ensure Mamoru remained in her custody and not Rin's. And top of that, she was planning to seduce Shirou, who was in a relationship with Akane Tendo, and reveal the truth about his son in the hopes they would stay together.

Realizing what Laki was up to, Aoi informed her daughter of Laki's scheme. Rin realized there was only one choice to get her son back… she would have to kill Laki Olietta.

At Magnolia hospital, arriving on the 7th floor was Laki Olietta. She approached the reception desk of the 7th floor where her friends, Misaki Ayuzawa and Akane Tendo were working. "Misaki, do you know where Shirou is? I need to talk to him."

"Well, he was doing some rounds a while ago, so I'm not sure he's finished," Misaki said, looking at the charts for Shirou's schedule. "Try getting in touch with him around 7."

"Thanks," Laki replied. "I really appreciate it."

"Speaking of which, did you get your rounds done?" Misaki asked her.

Laki nodded. "Yeah, I did. Look, as soon as I talk to Shirou, I'll come right back on duty if that's alright with you."

"That's fine," Misaki told her.

The minute Laki was about to leave the 7th floor, she bumped into a handsome man with black hair and light eyes wearing a long trench coat and a suit underneath. Laki recognized him as her lawyer, Raye Penber.

"Laki, I'm glad you're here," Raye said, holding the paper documents for Laki.

Laki spoke to Raye and replied, "I was just about to leave."

"Well, I thought you should know I have the papers for your new will," Raye showed her. "All we need now is your signature on them."

"Thank you, Raye," Laki said. "I'll be sure to sign them as soon as I can."

"Well, why not now?" Raye asked.

"Not at the moment, Raye," Laki insisted. "Right now, I've got something much more important to do. I'll take the papers and sign them later and get them back to you as soon as I'm done."

Handing over the papers to Laki, Raye said, "Alright, well, take extra care of those papers. And make sure not to lose them."

"I won't, I promise," Laki told Raye. "Is there anything else you wanted to tell me?"

Scratching his head, Raye replied, "No, I guess not. I'll be waiting to hear from you."

"Absolutely," Laki promised. "And thank you for coming by with it."

Raye smiled. "It's no problem." He then headed towards the right elevator and made his leave as Laki headed towards the right elevator to make her leave as well.

While Laki waited for the elevator, coming into the lobby was Hanabi Hyuga. She worked there as a nurse at Magnolia Hospital and was friends with Misaki Ayuzawa and Akane Tendo as well.

When it came to Hanabi, some of the staff liked her while some disliked her. It was mainly due to the fact that Hanabi had a bad habit of being a big gossiper. Every time she spread her gossip, it tended to cause trouble not just for her, but for some of the people she loved.

Hanabi was just returning back from her lunch break and went to get her nurse outfit from the desk reception. "Hey, Misaki. Hey, Akane."

"Hey, Hanabi," Akane replied. "How was lunch?"

Hanabi sighed. "I didn't eat lunch. Let's just say I'm too upset to have an appetite at the moment."

Confused, Misaki asked, "What's got you so upset that you can't eat?"

Hanabi explained. "I went up to Lavender Hills to visit Rin. And you won't believe what she told me."

Curious, Misaki asked, "Well, what'd she tell you?"

"I went up there this morning and she was talking to her doctor. And her doctor said she was well enough to come home for regular visits. But her mother, Aoi, told the doctor that she wouldn't allow it."

Confused, Akane asked, "Why not?"

Hanabi continued on. "Aoi said that Rin wasn't well enough. Not even to come home for one day a week."

Misaki replied, "Well, Aoi knows her own daughter better. Maybe it's better she stays there and not risk hurting herself."

Hanabi shook her head. "Misaki, I just saw her. I know that Rin is well enough to come home to visit. I'm just shocked that Aoi would prefer to keep her own daughter locked up like that. I mean, that's just being cruel. I'm just glad Aoi isn't my mother."

Laki happened to overhear this entire conversation, pretending she wasn't eavesdropping. Honestly, she was secretly relieved that Rin was staying locked up at Lavender Hills Sanitarium. However, she was unaware of Aoi helping her daughter with her scheme.

Elsewhere, Darui, a dark-skinned man with bleached hair, Magnolia's local detective, happened to walk into the restaurant, Wagnaria. He was there to meet up with his buddy, Naruto Uzumaki, a young man in his 20's with spiky blonde hair. Naruto was an employee at the restaurant, working as a waiter. He was given a job there by the restaurant's owner, Kikyo, his aunt, who inherited the restaurant from the previous owner.

Taking a seat at the front counter of the restaurant, Darui said, "Hey, Naruto, you running the place all by yourself today?"

"Yeah, you bet," Naruto replied. "When it comes to business, you have to use marketing to attract more customers. So that's what Aunt Kikyo's doing, trying to advertise new dishes she's planning to come out with."

"Oh, yeah," Darui. "Now that you mentioned it, she was talking about that new lobster ramen dish she was planning to add to the menu."

However, a simple chit-chat wasn't the real reason Darui was here for. He looked around the restaurant making sure there wasn't anybody around he recognized that could overhear their business.

Darui asked, "By the way, how are things going on that little investigation coming on that document?"

Naruto replied, "Um… pretty good. But I really won't know until tomorrow."

"Do you still need to get into the warehouse where they're holding Sakura and Kikyo's furs?"

While Darui worked as a detective, he was also involved in criminal activity with Naruto. The jobs that they pulled together involved mainly smuggling and stealing valuable goods. Despite the fact that Naruto was involved in criminal activities, Darui was still willing to help him out due to the fact he feels he owes Naruto for saving his life.

Naruto got down to business on that matter. "Well, here's what I need you to do. I don't know if you knew this, but I got sources telling me you're being followed. Still, we can use this to our advantage."

"How?" Darui asked.

Naruto went on. "Whoever is following you, I want you to keep them busy. This way I can slip in and look around the warehouse."

Darui nodded. "Alright. But you owe me on this one. Once we've taken care of this business, I think it's only fair that I date your sister. That's considering if I have permission from you."

"Hey, you can try, but Sakura is the type of girl you hardly stand a chance with," Naruto jokes.

"Says the guy dating the Hyuga Heiress," Darui reminded him, making a small grin.

Naruto laughed a bit. "Yeah, even that took me by surprise. Who would have thought a guy like me could get a girl like Hinata."

"Speaking of Hinata, what is she doing with that Yuuki fella?" Darui asked.

The man that Darui was talking about was Shouzou Yuuki. He was a local who happened to be passing through in Magnolia. From what Naruto found out, the man worked as an international spy and lately Yuuki had been snooping around his business.

In order to keep Yuuki off his back, Hinata volunteered to seduce him, pretending to be attracted by his charm. It was a foolproof plan for Naruto. But at the same time, he wondered how long Hinata could keep up this charade before Yuuki got suspicious of what she was doing.

Naruto explained to Darui. "Well, as it turns out, Shouzou Yuuki has been following me lately about where I've been going. The guy is hoping to catch me in the act of my business. Apparently, he knew Hinata and I were in a relationship, so we thought of this brilliant plan.

"A month ago, when he was following us, Hinata and I pretended to have an argument and we made it seem to him like we broke up. Hinata actually volunteered to keep him distracted by falling for him and going on dates with him. The chump has no idea that Hinata has him completely fooled."

Darui grinned once more at this idea. "That's one thing I like about you, Naruto. Every time you come up with a plan, you are always so slick about it."

"Speaking of slick, you might want to be careful when you leave," Naruto warned him.

"What do you mean?" Darui asked.

"You know about the person I told you was following you," Naruto reminded him. "He's right out there, waiting."

Darui raised his eyebrow. In all his years, no one could get past him or let alone be suspicious enough to follow him without being noticed. "That's weird. I didn't see anybody."

"Trust me," Naruto told Darui as he went to serve a customer their meal. "That jerk is out there alright."

Back at Lavender Hills, Rin Tohsaka was in her room as she kept thinking things through on her plan to escape the sanitarium. Before she could do that, she had to make sure she had the necessary items that were needed in her plot to murder Laki Olietta.

Everything she needed was all the stuff her mother, Aoi, sent her. Rin kept it all in her pillow case and in a doll where the hospital staff would never think to look.

"Let's see," Rin thought to herself, emptying the pillow case. The first item were a pair of keys. "I've got the keys to Laki's apartment. The second item that came out of the pillow case were 3 doses of sedative pills that could easily put someone to sleep. "The sedatives for Samui."

Samui was a blonde-haired young woman that Rin made friends with at Lavender Hills. But in reality, Rin was just using the insane girl to further her schemes. Samui had been condemned to the sanitarium under the impression she drowned her sister, when she really didn't.

Finally, Rin took out the last item which were metal shell casings. "Last, but not least, bullets for the gun."

Rin looked under the bed where she kept the gun. She didn't keep the gun in plain sight where a nurse could easily spot it when they came into her room to do checks. She kept the gun her mother gave her in the one place no one would ever think to find it, a simple doll.

When she looked under the bed where she kept the doll, Rin was shocked to realize it wasn't there. Where could it have possibly gone?

"Oh, my god!" Rin panicked, realizing who might have the doll. "What did Samui do with that doll?!" That's when she realized that Samui must have the doll. "Idiot!" She rushed out of her room to find her.

Over at Laki's house, she was sitting in her living room, holding 4-year-old adopted son, Mamoru Chiba. Laki held him so tight as she took deep breaths. She just hoped Rin wouldn't get out of Lavender Hills. Losing her husband was bad enough and it was much worse to have her son taken away, especially when she could not produce a baby from her own body when she was with Max. It was more than she could bear.

"Everytime I look at you, Mamoru, you just fill me with so much love," Laki said to her boy. "I just can't imagine what my life would be without you in it."

"I love you, mommy," Mamoru said to Laki as a small tear came from her eye.

Laki sighed. "I really want to tell Shirou that you're his son. But I'm just afraid of how he might react if I tell. I don't know if he might accept us both or take you away from me." She hugged Mamoru once more. "Oh, god, please help me. I just can't go on with this secret."

Laki took Mamoru to his room and put him in his little play area where he could play with his toys. She went back to the living room as she stared at the phone trying to decide whether or not to tell Shirou about Mamoru.

Crossing her arms, Laki said, "I've got to make a decision. But… I just don't know what to do."

She was about to reach the phone to call Shirou, but she hesitated. Not sure if telling Shirou was the right time yet, she decided to call someone else. The first person that came to mind to contact was Aoi Tohsaka, Rin's mother. Little was Laki unaware of Aoi helping her daughter in her schemes and being aware that Mamoru was actually her grandson.

Getting the phone, Laki contacted Aoi. Right away, Aoi answered the phone.

"Tohsaka residence," Aoi answered.

"Ms. Tohsaka, this is Laki Olietta."

"Oh, good morning, Laki. Oh, look, I hope you weren't calling to see if I could babysit Mamoru today because I've got an awful lot to do today with Dr. Emiya."

"No, it's got nothing to do with babysitting Mamoru. I already got another babysitter lined up for him."

"Oh, that's good. How is my favorite little scamp anyway?"

Laki gulped real hard and felt herself shaking. "Mamoru… is… fine. Yeah, Mamoru is fine."

Hearing the nervous tone in her voice, Aoi said, "I'm sorry, is something wrong, Laki? You sound like you're a bit on edge."

Laki pulled herself together and calmed herself. "No, everything is fine. It's just… there's something I need to tell you. I'm about to make the most important decision of my life and I feel you have the right to know about it."

Pretending like she didn't know, Aoi played along and replied, "I'm sorry, I don't understand. How does this big decision of yours involve me?"

"I think it's best that you come over and I explain it to you, Ms. Tohsaka," Laki told her. "What I have to decide is going to greatly affect you, because it concerns Rin and the rest of all our lives."

Back at Lavender Hills, Rin came into the main room where most of the patients hung around. There was a TV for them to watch, they chatted amongst themselves, some talked to themselves, where others were doing curricular activities.

Rin looked around the room and immediately spotted Samui. She noticed she was in the middle of a game with a fellow patient. The game she was playing was Mahjong. Rin glared at her. She needed things to go according to plan and the last thing she needed was another crazy person to ruin it all.

Approaching Samui, Rin said, "Samui, can I talk to you for a second?"

"Just a moment," Samui told her. "I'm playing Mahjong and I'm on a role here."

"It's important, Samui," Rin said to her firmly, not happy with her response. "Very important."

Samui sighed. "It better be." She looked at her fellow patient and said, "Don't move those pieces. I'll be right back."

The two of them went somewhere in the room where they can have their privacy so nobody could hear them. Samui had her arms crossed hoping whatever Rin had to say was fast and quick.

"What do you want, Rin?" Samui asked.

Rin replied, "You're being very snippy with me, Samui."

"I am not."

"Yes you are. I know you are. The doll isn't in the room. I don't see it anywhere around here. Where is it? Tell me what you did with it."

Samui scoffed at her. "I don't have to talk to you about everything, Rin. You're not my doctor."

"Where is the doll, Samui," Rin said, feeling her temper rising. "Tell me where it is before things get really ugly between you and me."

If there was one thing about Rin that most of these patients learned, it's that you do not want to cross her. Rin had a habit of getting under skin with her cruel words. Samui learned that the hard way and almost went nuts last time that the doctors and nurses had to sedate her.

Not wanting to endure Rin's mental abuse, Samui replied, "Somebody took it from me."

Shocked by this news, Rin exclaimed quietly, "What?! What are you talking about? Who took it? Did one of the nurses take it?"

Samui sighed and gave her answer. "Kanna took it."

"Who?" Rin asked, not familiar with that name.

Samui gestured for Rin to look behind her where she spotted a white-haired 10-year-old girl named Kanna. "The girl standing by the door. We had an argument and she took the doll away from me."

Things couldn't get any worse for Rin as she stared back at Samui and shook her head. "You are such an idiot! What the hell were you thinking?"

"I screwed up, okay," Samui admitted. "And besides, what was I supposed to do? She created a scene. Plus how was I supposed to explain to the nurses that she couldn't have the doll because it had a gun in it?"

Rin sighed with frustration. "Nevermind all that. As usual, I'll have to take matters into my own hands and get the doll back myself."

Samui shook her head. "Forget it. You won't be able to get it back from her. She's too mean. If you try to pry it from her hands, she'll start screaming her head off."

"Let me handle it from here, Samui," Rin told her. "Just go back to your game."

Samui shook her head once more as she headed back to her Mahjong game with her fellow patient. "Don't say I warned you."

Rin slowly approached Kanna and figured the best way to handle someone like this was to sweet talk them. After all, she was only a child. How much trouble could one 10-year-old prove to be?

"Hi, Kanna," Rin greeted herself in a kind manner. "I'm Rin, Samui's friend. Do you remember me? That's a cute doll you have there."

"Thank you," Kanna replied. "But it's my doll now. And you can't have her."

Rin tries to be more reasonable with her. "Kanna, let's not be like that and improve on that attitude. That doll belongs to me and Samui and I think it's important that we take turns with the doll equally. So why don't you be a good little girl and give it back to me."

"No!" Kanna exclaimed, refusing to give up the doll as she held it tight in her arms. "It's my doll! Why would you want a doll? Dolls are meant for kids, not adults. Now go away and leave me alone!"

Rin glared at her, ready to take the doll by force if she had too. "Don't make this harder than it is, Kanna. Be a good little girl and give me the doll now."

Kanna ignored her and went past Rin to get away from her. Rin quickly grabbed her by the arm, growing frustrated enough as she was with this child.

"Give me the doll!" Rin told her firmly. "If you keep this up, I'll make your day much worse than it is by breaking your little fingers."

"No!" Kanna cried, refusing to give up the doll.

"Give it to me, now!" Rin told her, once more, squeezing Kanna's hand as she struggled to get away from her.

Kanna began to cry for help. "Nurse! She's trying to take away my doll and she's threatening to hurt me!"

Suddenly, the doll fell to the floor as the head of the dolls cracked. Rin could only hope that her mother didn't hide the gun there or else she was in deep trouble.

A nurse came into the room when she heard all the screaming and commotion. "What's going on here?"

At Wagnaria, Darui was still hanging around with Naruto at the diner. Darui already had two shots of Espresso and decided to call it a day.

"You sure you don't anymore of Espresso?" Naruto asked.

"No, thanks, but I think I've had my fill of caffeine," Darui said, putting on his jacket to leave. "As of a matter of fact, I think I'll head out and see if I can put an eyeball on this person that's tailing me."

"Great idea, buddy," Naruto said, giving him a thumbs up and reaching down to the floor to pick something up. "While you're keeping him busy, take this with you." What Naruto pulled out was nothing more than an empty box.

Darui was a bit perplexed, trying to figure out what this was supposed to mean. "It's.. a box. And… it's empty."

Naruto shushed him. "Quiet. As far as we're concerned, it is empty. But the guy following you, he doesn't know that. Now, here's what you do. You take it and you catch his curiosity. He'll have no choice but to follow you, keeping his attention off of me."

Darui laughed a bit and grinned at Naruto's idea. "Did I ever tell you you were really slick?"

"Slick as a fox," Naruto jokes.

Taking the box, Darui said, "Well, I'll catch you later, Naruto. And I'll be sure to give you a call."

"Sounds good to me," Naruto said. "Also, make sure to make it look heavy otherwise he'll get suspicious."

"Right," Darui replied, leaving the restaurant and headed on his way.

Heading back to work to serve his customers, Naruto realized at the last minute that they were running out of ham. "I got to remind aunt Kikyo to bring the ham."

Back at the hospital, coming on the 7th floor was Dr. Hiashi Hyuga. He approached the reception desk to talk to one of the nurses, a pink-haired woman by the name of Sakura Haruno, Naruto's adoptive sister.

"Sakura, would you let me know the second Shirou comes in," Hiashi told her. "I really need to talk to him about something."

"I would do that, but unfortunately Shirou won't be in today, Dr. Hyuga," Sakura informed him. "He's sleeping in today. He had one too many drinks and has a serious headache."

"Well, then nevermind," Hiashi said. "I was going to talk to him about one of his patients, but it's not a problem. I'll cover for him and deal with it."

"Hold on a second," Sakura told him. "I've got a couple of messages that were left for you."

Hiashi nodded. "Alright, then."

While Sakura left to get the messages left for Hiashi, coming at the front desk was his daughter, Hinabi Hyuga. She was Hiashi's youngest daughter and his oldest daughter was Hinata.

"Hi, daddy," Hanabi smiled.

"Hello, Hanabi," Hiashi replied.

"I guess you heard about Rin, huh," said Hanabi.

Hiashi was confused about what Hanabi was talking about. "Heard about what, Hanabi?"

"So you don't know about it yet," Hanabi figured and went on to explain it to her father. "It's about Rin's mother, Aoi. She's being unfair with her own daughter."

Hiashi felt like Hanabi was talking to him in riddles. "What are you talking about, Hanabi?"

Hanabi explained it further. "Aoi told Rin's doctor that she didn't want Rin coming home for visits, on the weekends and not even for one day."

"Now look…" Before Hiashi could argue with his daughter, Sakura interrupted them to give Hiashi a paper note that contained one of his messages she told him about a while ago.

"From your daughter." Sakura went back to work, noticing that Hiashi was in the middle of a conversation with Hanabi.

Hanabi continued on with the conversation. "Personally, I think it's awful how Aoi turned against her own daughter."

Hiashi was already growing frustrated on what was going on since he never heard of this news. He knew it had to be another one of his daughter's gossip. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about Rin," Hanabi said, trying to explain the situation to her father. "And the fact that Aoi doesn't want her to come home at all. Not even for one day a week."

Hiashi shook his head. "Hanabi, that's really not our business, is it? Now there's nothing that either you or I can do about solving it, can we?"

Hanabi sighed. "No. I was just offering a personal opinion."

"I know exactly what you were doing," Hiashi told her. "I told you before, all that gossip you continue to spread, it's going to get you in trouble one day, young lady. Now do me a favor. Call Hinata and tell her I will happily meet her at Wagnaria. Can you do that?"

"I'll tell her right away, daddy," Hanabi promised.

"Thank you," Hiashi said, already growing tired of his daughter's gossip. He then went into the elevator and made his leave from the hospital.

Standing next to Sakura as she got the phone to contact Hinata, she said, "I still think it's unfair the way everybody is treating Rin."

Elsewhere, Dr. Tim Marcoh was at his house going through some papers on research he was doing. As he was reading through the reports of his research, he heard someone ring the doorbell. Answering his door, he saw a young woman with long dark blue hair, wearing a long lavender jacket. Dr. Marcoh recognized her as Hinata Hyuga.

"Hello, Dr. Marcoh," Hinata greeted herself.

"Hinata, how nice to see you," Dr. Marcoh smiled, noticing she was carrying a box of supplies he had asked her to get earlier. "Here, let me help you with those."

"Thank you," said Hinata, handing Dr. Marcoh his books while she carried his package and an envelope she had for him. "I hope I brought you everything you need."

"Well, it certainly looks like it," said Dr. Marcoh.

"Where should I put these," Hinata asked.

"Right over here," Dr. Marcoh told her, showing her where to put the package and envelope. He pointed to his table where he and Hinata put down all the supplies he needed.

Looking around his house and seeing he had everything moved in, Hinata said, "Well, I can see you've gotten settled."

"Yes, it took a while, but I managed to get everything moved in and well in place."

"You're lucky. I just moved into a new apartment recently and I still don't have things organized. But of course, you're only here to mainly finish your research and not set up housekeeping."

"Yes, that's true. Would you like some tea?"

"No, thank you. I know you have to get back to work." Then she realized she forgot the other envelope she had for Dr. Marcoh and handed it over to him. "Also, Nanami wanted you to have this."

Taking the envelope, Dr. Marcoh knew what it was. "Ah, yes. I've been waiting for that. Thank you, Ms. Hyuga."

Hinata smiled. "You're welcome. If you don't mind me asking you, how is your research going?"

"It's going quite well," Dr. Marcoh told her. "These supplies you just gave me will certainly make a great deal of difference."

"That's good. I'm glad I can be a big help to you, Dr. Marcoh. I know you're working on a tight schedule, so anytime you need help, don't hesitate to ask."

"I'll be sure to remember that. By the way, did Nanami by any chance tell you when she might be dropping by? I've got some work I want to get done before she gets here."

"Well, she wasn't very specific, but she said she would come by soon. I'm just not sure how soon since she's been very busy lately taking phone calls overseas."

Getting a bit suspicious, Dr. Marcoh asked, "Would you happen to know where those calls are from?"

Remembering where those calls came from, Hinata replied, "I believe one was from Marley and the other was from Cinnabar Island. Why? Is something wrong?"

Dr. Marcoh shook his head and said, "No. I was just curious. Anyhow, thank you very much, Ms. Hyuga. I really appreciate all that you do."

Hinata smiled once more. "It's no problem. And you're welcome."

Just when Hinata was about to leave, Dr. Marcoh stopped her for a moment. "I'm sorry, Ms. Hyuga, but if you don't mind, is there some other number I could reach you besides the office, just I require your assistance."

"Absolutely," Hinata told him. "I could give you my home phone number if you like. Do you have a piece of paper I can write on?"

"Yes, it's over there on my desk," Dr. Marcoh pointed.

Hinata got a piece of paper and a pen as she wrote her home phone number to Dr. Marcoh. Once she was done, she handed the piece of paper that contained her home phone number. "There you go."

"Thank you, Ms. Hyuga, and bless you," Dr. Marcoh said, shaking the young girl's hand as she made her way out the door.

"And the same to you, Dr. Marcoh." Hinata smiled once again and left.
