A TERRA ONE PREQUEL: BEFORE

CHARACTER LIST

LOKI/YGGDRASIL/BIG GERRY/LOKI'S [plural] (THE WEAVER, TREE OF LIFE) - Formerly, he was the Norse God of Mischief who caused much death and strife throughout several universes that landed him at The End Of Time AFTER/BEFORE/DURING his tenure as Dr. Fitzgerald Thomas Grant II due to his many iterations of LOKI (time and the multiverse work in mysterious ways until he manages to pull all of his selves into one being at the end of time). He uses his time there to learn many lessons while being punished for bringing life into the world - the greatest of which is sacrifice. The sacrifice is his life over the lives of his children (because the contain the power and strength to become Yggdrasil, but Loki decides to become The Tree Of Life in order form his children TO HAVE LIFE). Because of this sacrifice, he decides to save one universe by sacrificing all the others when he is left with a choice: everyone dies or save who he can so life can go - even if many other lives cease to exist. He decides to save the true Sacred Timeline, realizing that if that time line dies everything else will disappear into a never-ending blackhole. When he begins the 'weaving' (or merger) of the universes, he sends the strongest being in the universe, and his mate, back in time to be born again on Terra One. Loki soon realizes that it will take all his power and life force to complete the merging, but, in order for the weaving to be maintained, he would have to spend eternity being the energy that keeps the universe together. In the end, he becomes Yggdrasil - an immense and central sacred tree that sits on the renewed planet of Asgard, where Father Time and his wife, Mother Time watch over the Nine Realms. Yggdrasil's roots are sunk deep into the soil of Asgard and his branches reach far into the sky, above the atmosphere of Asgard, where he can watch over the beauty that he helped cultivate and that his brother Thor and his wife, Storm watch over as well. In case it's not clear, Yggdrasil's roots are both metaphorical and real, but, they also represent The Progeny.

UHTRED BEBBANBURG (UHTRED RAGNARSON, BALDR - BROTHER OF THOR, SON OF ODIN AND FRIGGA) - Uhtred of Bebbanburg was a ruler of Bebbanburg of Northumbria in Old English times before medieval times. He is also the resurrection of Thor's brother, Baldr, who is described in Norse mythology as the God who lived between Heaven and Earth, and was the epitome of radiance, beauty, kindness, and fairness. He and Thor were very close and both possessed the same tall and handsome stature and pristine blue eyes and blonde hair.

DR. FITZGERALD THOMAS GRANT/FATHER TIME (THOR, THOM, SENIOR) - Norse God in his true form, and, of Scandinavian, English and Greek descent in his human form. Husband to Dr. Fatima Grant and father of Dr. Fitzgerald Thomas Grant, II (Big Gerry). His new duties, as Father Time, is to watch over his brother - Yggdrasil - and maintain the roots of The Tree Of Life. He also enjoys spending eternity with his wife and sometimes enjoys the company of his friends.

DR. FATIMA JOI GRANT/MOTHER TIME (ORORO, STORM) - In her true form (before she was 'reborn') Fatima was Oruro/Storm an inhuman X-Men who had tremendous powers that could control weather, space and time, who descended from a long line of priestesses who were kidnapped from Kenya and forced into slavery during the TransAtlantic Slave Trade. Upon her transplantation into a new body, she was born to slaves on a plantation in Appalachia, Kentucky. When she 'dies' with her husband, Thom, she is becomes Mother Time and sits by her husband's side on The Throne of Asgard, helping him perform his duties as well as watch over their Progeny and socialize with their friends.

DR. RICHARD GRIMES GRANT (RICK) JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - Caucasian of mixed race descent (father is bi-racial black and white, mother is white). 6'4, dark blonde hair, cyan blue eyes, dimples, pouty lips, extremely handsome. Wears his thick curly hair in a man bun on top of his head with the sides shaved as per his graduated training as a Warrior. Very educated earning his doctorate degree in Civil Engineering from Harvard as well as his masters in Agriculture from Fort Appalachia University. Made it the rank of Admiral in the Navy, and is a graduate of Abraham Ford's Warrior Training. Weapon of choice: Two Colt Pythons are stored in a shouldered, double holsters that is hand-made and leather. His alternate weapon is a red handled hatchet. Admiral of The New American Security Force with a focus on recruitment and training.

MICHONNE GISELLE (née HAWTHORNE) GRANT (CHONNE, MISH) JANUARY 15, 2000* - African American. 5'4, mahogany colored skin, ebony colored eyes, thigh length, jet black loc'd hair, dimples, and full pouty lips. Usually wears her extremely long locs in a high ponytail. Like her sisters, she has the septum piercing to represent unity and the labret to represent sisterhood. Graduated from Harvard with a law degree as well as a master's degree in Art History. Was a World Fencing Champion for three years in a row during college and penchant for art, and has even helped her sister, Olivia, with her clothing line by being a model and offering advice.

Wears his thick curly hair in a man bun on top of his head with the sides shaved as per his graduated training as a Warrior. Graduated from Harvard with a master's degree in Robotic Engineering, the M.I.T. with a doctorate in Robotic Engineering as well as a bachelors degree from Cambridge Archaeology, and also made it to Admiral ranking in the Navy. Weapon of choice: Doesn't require a weapon, but, when he wants to, he uses a Glock 20, or whatever is handy.

OLIVIA CAROLYN (née POPE) GRANT (LIVVIE, LIV) JANUARY 15, 2000* - African American. Obtained a law degree from Harvard, then obtained a master's degree in Anthropology from Washington State University. 5'3, golden bronze colored skin, ochre colored eyes, dimples, thigh length naturally curly/coily hair - unless she wears it blown out. Her usual hairstyle is in its natural curly pattern in two high ponytail twists that fall to her thighs. She also wears the septum piercing to represent unity and the labret piercing to represent sisterhood. Did a brief stint as a model for her own clothing line Pope Fashions, has even made it onto The Cut's Street Fashion page on multiple occasions, was an elite swimmer in college and even made the American Olympic Swim Team but couldn't compete due to an injury.

DARYL DIXON GRANT (sometimes referred to as just DD) JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - Caucasian of mixed race descent (father is bi-racial black and white, mother is white). 6'4, chestnut colored hair, cyan blue eyes. Wears his thick, straight, brunette hair in a man bun on top of his head with the sides shaved as per his graduated training as a Warrior. Good guy, but, sometimes has a hard time making the right decision. Graduated from Harvard with a doctorate degree in Mechanic Engineering. Made it the rank of Sergeant in the Navy, and is a motorcycle enthusiast. Weapon of choice: Black Horton Scout HD 125 crossbow with black nylon shoulder strap and three special arrows in holder attached to the front of the bow that replenish themselves automatically. Admiral of the Ground Defense arm of the New American Security Force with a focus on armament training and mobile defense.

SASHA EVELYN (née WILLIAMS) GRANT (SASH, EVILINA) JANUARY 15, 2000* - African American. Tawny colored complexion, waist length, coily, dark brown natural hair. 5'3. Usually wears her long hair in three ponytails, one situated on the top that hangs to the right side, and two higher up in the back. These hairstyles for the three biological sisters represents age order. Bachelor's degree in economics from Stanford, then obtained a master's degree in Sociology. Ran track in college for two years, modeled for her sister, Olivia's clothing line, and has gone viral on the internet for being a lone surfer on the beach during Covid and getting arrested for not following Covid LockDown protocol.

DR. GLENN RHEE GRANT, JANUARY 6, 1975 (2095*) - Korean and caucasian American, he is one of Big Gerry's children. 6'4, olive complexion, handsome, jet black, wavy hair, Grant Blue Eyes. Doctorate in Information technology and another doctorate in Programming - both from Harvard. Of all The Brothers, Glenn is the most innocent - not a mean bone in his body. Because of his wide eyed innocence, he - as well as Noah - are often times the moral compass of the group. He too wears the hairstyle of the Warrior with his long, jet black hair in a high man bun and shaved on the sides. He marries his first wife, Maggie, who dies after giving birth to their first child, Hershel. Made it the rank of Sergeant in the Navy, and is a graduate of Abraham Ford's Warrior Training. Weapon of choice: Colt Series 70 1911. Spokesperson, historian, truth seeker and knowledge approver as The Ambassador of Education of New America, as well as the creator/President of TaDah! - a fact based, information serving social media platform that is the main source of news and info sharing in New America.

CONSTANTINE ARYA GRANT (CONNIE) JANUARY 15, 2000* - Half African American, half Korean, fully def since she was 12 years old, and a journalist who'd graduated from Harvard with a degree in Mass Communications.

ELIZABETH HERA GRANT (BETH), NOVEMBER 1, 2018* - Biologically, she is the daughter of Hershel and Jackie Green. When Hershel and Jackie die, Glenn decides to raise her, and eventually adopt her. Adopted by Connie after she marries Glenn.

HERSHEL JACKSON GRANT, DECEMBER 1, 2023* - Biologically, he is the baby of Glenn and Maggie, who dies during the rescue at Woodbury. Adopted by Connie when she marries Glenn.

GLENN RHEE GRANT II OCTOBER 1, 2024* - Biologically, he is the baby of Glenn and the brief romance he had with Yumiko. Adopted by Connie when she marries Glenn.

DR. DIEGO MUNOZ GRANT (HUCK) JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - Afro-Cuban descent. Graduated from Harvard with a doctorate in Computer Programming and another doctorate in Web Development. 6'4, honey colored skin, very handsome with The Grant Blue Eyes, although seemingly unaware of how good-looking he is. Wears his thick, dark, curly hair in a man bun on top of his head with the sides shaved as per his graduated training as a Warrior. For the purposes of this story he will be portrayed by Pedro Pascal because he is fine as hell and I said what I said. Made it the rank of Admiral in the Navy and is one of the world's best computer hackers along with his brothers Glenn, and Noah. Weapon(s) of choice: Two Navy issued KA-BAR knives. Admiral in the Tech Ventures arm of the New American Security Force with a focus on innovative technology.

KIMBERLY (née DIOS) GRANT (KIMMIE) JANUARY 15, 2000* - Afro cuban descended like her husband. She is also a graduate from Harvard with a degree in Graphic Design and also has the septum piercing of unity and labret piercing of sisterhood due to being friends with the sisters and also being a soror with them in college. She wears her long wavy hair in a high, side falling ponytail.

STEPHEN FINCH GRANT, JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - Of Scottish ancestry, he is a graduate of Harvard with a degree in Communications and a law degree. Like the other Grants, he is tall - 6'4 - handsome and possesses Big Gerry's blue eyes. He too, Wears his hair in a man bun on top of his head with the sides shaved as per his graduated training as a Warrior. Made it the rank of Admiral in the Navy, and is has a Medal of Honor for his service in the Navy. Weapon of choice: Glock 34 with extended mag. Ambassador of Foreign Affairs, as well as Universally.

DR. ABIGAIL (née WHELAN) GRANT (ABBIE) JANUARY 15, 2000* - Of Irish descent, she graduates from Georgetown with a doctorate degree in Communications and is a sorority sister like the rest and has both the septum and labret piercings. She wears her long, red hair braided into two high ponytails similar to her best friend - Olivia's hair style.

NOAH SELAH GRANT, JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - African American. 6'4, tawny skinned, handsome, dark curly hair. Famous Grant Blue Eyes. Doctorate in Civil Engineering from Harvard, with a masters in architecture from The University Of Alexandria. Of The Brothers, Noah is the most optimistic, but just as dangerous and savage as the rest of them which is why he also has the Warriors hairstyle with his long, thick, coily hair. Made it the rank of Admiral in the Navy, and is a graduate of Abraham Ford's Warrior Training. Weapon of choice: Beretta Cougar with silencer (suppressor). Director of The House Of Monroe, or H.O.M. with a focus on architectural design, legislation, and mental health, also, The Aesir of New America.

CYNDIE (née STOKES) GRANT, NOVEMBER 12, 2000* - Although she doesn't wear the piercings, she does wear her long, dark, coily hair up into one bun, shaved on the sides representing her training as a Warrior, and was the first woman - and the youngest person to do so. She also has a master's degree in Civil Engineering from Georgetown University. She is African American and her biological parents are unknown. She is the twin sister of Enid. Both Cyndie and Enid were adopted by Gabriel Stokes when they were left abandoned on his church's steps.

SOCORRO GRANT (COCO) OCTOBER 1, 2020* - Biological daughter of Gabriel and Rosita Stokes.

JEREMY (JERRY) KING GRANT JANUARY 6, 1975 (1995*) - Biologically he is to Ezekiel King (Ezekiel is Jerry's biological mother's brother) when Ezekiel sister - Mary, dies after childbirth. Overall jovial guy. Beloved by everyone. He is also a Warrior and wears the Warrior hairstyle. Made it the rank of Admiral in the Navy, and, owns and operates dinner restaurant and part time club, YUM!. Master's degree in Communications from Harvard, and later, graduated from The Culinary Institute of America in New York. Weapon of choice: Double bladed battle axe. Ambassador of Foreign Affairs, as well as Universally.

NABILA (née MUHAMMAD) GRANT (BILA) DECEMBER 18, 2000* - African American. Muslim. Daughter of Siddiq Muhammad and Maya Lewis. Biological little sister of Olivia, but is considered a sister to Michonne and Sasha as well. Also has the septum and labret piercings, and although she wears her hair under a shayla, she possesses the same long, beautiful hair as her sisters and it is worn in a long ponytail under shayla scarf due to her respect for her father - Dr. Siddiq Muhammad's Muslim religion. Restauranteur. Georgetown University grad with a masters in Psychology. Runs Koftea - a brunch hotspot in Fort Appalachia.

CYRUS BEENE AND JAMES NOVAK - Cyrus was Olivia's mentor and professor during college, and also a long time friend of Fatima and Thom Grant. James Novak taught journalism at Fort Appalachia University - both colleges that are located in Fort Appalachia, Beacon Hill. James and Cyrus have been married for years, both starting their careers teaching and then moving to D.C. to be a part of the political scene. They have an adopted daughter named Ella who will eventually be raised by Fitz and Olivia. Council members.

WILLIAMS and KAREN WILLIAMS - African American couple. It is discovered that Dr. Tyrese is the brother of Sasha's biological mother - Evelyn. He is the father of Cassandra Williams.

DR. THEODORE HAWTHORNE (T-DOG; THEO) AND BEATRICE HAWTHORNE - African American couple. Theo is a Oncologist and Beatrice is a lawyer who lived in Washington, D.C. at the onset of the apocalypse. Theo is also the brother of Jackie and Charlene as well as cousin to Maya.

NEW ASGARDIANS (presumed dead on Terra One, but are really alive on Asgard due to their connection to The Progeny)

HERSHAL AND JAQUELINE (JACKIE) GREEN - Hershel is an American of Irish descent and Jackie is African American and also the biological aunt of Michonne. They too are an older couple and a moral compass for the group along with Dale and Erma during their time on Terra One. Former Elders that now sit on The Council on New Asgard.

IMPORTANT NOTE: CHARLENE HAWTHORNE, MAYA POPE (HAWTHORNE), AND EVELYN WILLIAMS all reside in Valhalla. Charlene and Jackie are biological sisters. Evelyn and Tyrese Williams are biological siblings. And, Maya and Talia Selah are biological sisters and are biological first cousins to Charlene and Jackie. Charlene, Maya and Evelyn, as well as Jackie and their relatives are all exceptional HUMANS, and all descend from the same plantation as Fatima although they are not related to Fatima. I wanted to mention this because of how pervasive slavery has affected the enslaved, and their descendants. Michonne, Olivia, Sasha and Nabila are exceptional humans who had the benefit of being descendants of Fatima's friends, AND, being raised by Hershel who unknowingly passed some of his aura unto the children who are not biologically related to him through pure LOVE. Same as with Jackie - Hershel loved her, therefore he imprinted part of who he is unto her.

ASTRID HEIMDALLSON - The oldest of Heimdall and Grace's children, Astrid is saved by Loki and takes the mantle of his father's God role as an Aesir (watcher of the nine realms) and now resides on New Asgard.

COMMANDER ABRAHAM FORD - Of Irish descent. Former MMA champion. Invented and cultivated The Warrior Training Method. Red hair. The only non Terra born/non super that sits on The Council on New Asgard - although when he became a member of The Council he was granted powers.

ANDREA HARRISON-FORD - Former lawyer. Blonde. College friend of The Sisters. Lives on New Asgard as the wife of Commander Abraham Ford.

MAGGIE AND YUMIKO GREEN - Daughter of Hershel and Annette, Maggie is of Irish descent and is the biological mother to Hershel Grant while Yumiko is the biological mother of Glenn II. Both Maggie and Yumiko passed away and are now in Valhalla.

CAROL JANE (née PELETIER, GRANT) KING AND EZEKIEL KING - After being in a marriage with the abusive Ed Peletier, she kills him quite savagely in order to protect their daughter, Sophia. She enters into a relationship with the aging Ezekiel Sutton, and while doing so, they adopt orphans Ben and Henry. Carol's weapon of choice: Hungarian AKM-63. The are both in Valhalla.

GABRIEL AND ROSITA STOKES - Gabriel Stokes is African American, Rosita is Mexican American and they are the adoptive parents of twins, Cyndie and Enid, and the biological parents of Socorro (Coco) Stokes. Deceased and are only mentioned in the story because they are parents to Cyndie, Enid and Coco. Gabriel and Rosita are now in Valhalla.

MIKE ANTHONY AND EDISON DAVIS - African American descended, and unknowingly are also descended from the same plantation as Fatima in Appalachia, Kentucky, though, not biologically related. The are of Anunnaki descent and now are in Valhalla.

QUINN PERKINS-WALLACE and GIDEON WALLACE - Both are Asgardians who now reside in Valhalla. Quinn was a close friend of Olivia while in college and was married to famed journalist, Gideon Wallace.

SHANE AND LORI WALSH - Caucasian Americans. Shane was formerly a citizen of Beacon Hill. Lori is the biological mother of Rick's older children. Though they are Asgardians, they live on Terra One.

MELLIE WALSH - Twin sister to Shane, biological mother to Beau Grant. Though she is Asgardian, she did not make it to Valhalla because she did not die - nor live - valiantly. She is deceased.

ELIJAH POPE - Of African American Descent. He was an evolved human whose ancestors lived on the lands of Beacon Hill and is of Anunnaki descent. He is the father of Michonne, Olivia and Sasha. He is deceased.
