Chapter 7: Idiotic Morons

Harry woke to the sounds of loud banging on the door to the apartments, he thought there were some shouts too, but they were muffled so he couldn't really understand what they were saying. But he thought, perhaps, that it was Ron and Hermione.

Dread filled him as his bedroom door opened and Severus entered with a sleepy Evie in his arms.

"You two stay in here whilst I deal with them," Severus said wearily, "I'll send them away. Don't you worry too much, Harry. They may be able to bang on the door but they aren't able to enter without the permission of everyone in these rooms,"

Harry nodded as he accepted Evie into his arms and held her close. Severus smiled at them both before leaving the room, closing the door gently, and he felt a wave of magic rush over the room, protecting them further. His lips twitched up at the corners as he felt the warmth in it, and as Evie snuggled closer to him.

He heard the door slam open and the incessant knocking stop, along with the muffled shouting.

"Leave," Severus said in his best intimidating voice.

"Sir, he is carrying my brothers in him, I have every right to see him," Ron said indignantly.

"You mean, the same brothers you tried to, and almost did, kill? Alongside Harry himself. Harry doesn't want any of you anywhere near him or his children. I don't want you anywhere near my family, nor my home, either. So, leave," Severus said, a fierceness in his voice, so much so that it was almost like he was growling.

"Sir, you hate Harry," Hermione said bossily.

"No, I hate no child. I am a spy. I have to pretend to hate certain children. There are other things, too, but I am not going to get into that with you lot. You aren't coming in, ever. You aren't seeing Harry. Not until he is ready to face people, and even then, if you hurt him, say anything to him that he doesn't deserve to hear, you will be punished, severely. Now leave, you have lessons to prepare for," Severus said sharply.

"We aren't leaving until we see him," Oh, great, Ginny was there, too.

"Well, my son doesn't want to see you idiotic morons who felt like it was okay to abandon him when he needed you the most, and then try to kill him and your brothers," Severus snapped.

Evie giggled, "Mummy said bad words," she said cheerily.

"Yeah, he did," Harry breathed, smiling as he held her close, "But sometimes it is okay to say bad words. Don't tell him I told you that, though,"

"Okay," she nodded into his chest, "Id-io-tic morons," she chimed up, smiling up at him.

"Idiotic morons indeed," Harry chuckled, his heart feeling lighter.

"We were just following Dumbledore's orders, sir," Hermione said.

"Dumbledore is your Headmaster, not your parent. He should have no say in your private lives. He is only there to monitor your schooling. He has no say what goes on between friends, unless, of course, you are spying on Harry for the Headmaster," Harry could practically hear the rising of one of the dark eyebrows as his heart clenched fearfully, "In which case," his voice was dangerously low, "You three have no fucking rights being near my son because you are not his friends, and I don't want him to be surrounded by bastards who don't care for him. He deserves better than all of you, and he will have better,"

"He shouldn't be forced into this pregnancy, sir," Hermione butted in.

"He isn't being forced, Granger. He has chosen to continue carrying, birth and raise his children. He had the choice. But if you want to stand there and accuse me of forcing my son to continue carrying his babies, then how about you look at the reason he is pregnant in the first place? I do believe it is Ronald attempted to kill him and his brothers, which then led to the twins getting caught between the spell and Harry's shield, and then being de-aged. He is the one that forced this pregnancy on Harry. But the continuing of this pregnancy is all up to Harry. And anyone who doesn't support his decision, him, or his babies, will have no place in his life from now on. I will do whatever I can to make sure of that. And if you three fuckwits, or anyone else, hurts him again, I will do whatever I can to punish you for it. Now if you three don't leave by the time I count to three, I will banish you into a pit of vipers. And you can only blame yourselves for having the audacity to wake me and my family up with your racket at six o'clock in the morning," Severus said harshly, "One… Two…" he slammed the door closed.

Severus gently opened the door to Harry's bedroom a moment later, looking both tired and proud of himself, and smiling as he looked at Harry and Evie.

"Evie, baby, whatever you do, don't say any of the bad words I just said to those… teens," Severus said, a slight warning to his otherwise warm voice as he laid next to them on the bed.

"Id-io-tic morons," she said cheerfully as she grinned at her mum.

"Yes, they are. But you aren't, so no bad words, please," Severus said, running his fingers through her hair gently.

"Okay, mummy," she nodded strongly.

They were just dozing off for a nap before they really had to be awake for the day when a phoenix patronus soared into the room.

"Severus, my boy, I have just heard from three students that you were swearing at them-"

"Stop," Severus growled to the patronus, which stopped talking as he drew his wand from the holster on his forearm and cast his own patronus as the phoenix watched on, "The bloody idiots had the audacity to wake Harry and I up at six o'clock this morning with banging and shouting. I haven't had my morning coffee, and they have upset my son, I think I am perfectly within my rights to throw in a few swear words for students who have no clue what personal boundaries are. Especially when they want to harass one of their professor's at an ungodly hour. So, unless you want to fire me for swearing a little bit when they are the ones at fault for the situation this morning, please leave me alone," he growled before sending the doe away.

The phoenix dissipated shortly afterwards.

And they actually managed to sleep for another hour before they needed to get up for the day. Or Severus needed to anyway.

"Do you want to go to the goblins, stay here, or go to classes?" Severus asked him as they sat eating their breakfasts.

"Erm, I'll go to the goblins with Evie, please. Get some of the work I missed yesterday done," Harry said nervously.

"Okay,"

"Is it okay?" Harry asked, fidgeting slightly.

"Of course. You have been through a lot, you need some time to process everything. Time away from the idiotic morons," Evie snickered, "and this place. And I need time to do some more damage control before you go back to classes. I want to make sure you and the twins will be safe," he said with a smirk.

"Okay. Thank you," Harry said, smiling slightly at his new mother.

"Good. If you two would like to go and get ready then, I will call the goblins and let them know that they are to protect both of you today," Severus said, standing from his chair and stalking over to the fireplace as Harry and Evie hurried to get ready for the day, Harry helping Harry with her clothes as much as he could given he had never helped a young child before.

Harry was soon standing in a comfortable looking living room with King Ragnok, Healer Greyclaw, Severus and Evie, along with a couple of warrior goblins, and whilst Evie was busy getting fussed over by the goblin members of her family Harry was standing in front of the floo nervously, Severus in front of him, smiling warmly down at him.

"You're safe here, Harry," Severus said softly.

"I know," Harry said, "I just… I don't really belong here,"

"Nonsense. You're family now, Harry. Of course you belong here," Severus said with a grin, "You'll be fine. And I will do whatever I can to make sure you are safe, and fine, at the Castle, too. Though, if that doesn't work, then I suppose I can just take you and Evie elsewhere for a while. I mean, I might actually just resort to that. I need a break, I think, and time with the two of you,"

"That sounds good to me," Harry nodded with a smile.

"Well, then, we shall see about booking an extended holiday or something," Severus said, smiling himself, "I'll be back for you both this evening. Try and make sure Evie doesn't use too many bad words,"

"I'll try," Harry said with a grin.

"Good," Severus smiled, "Now then, I'll be off, but remember that you're safe now. I've got you. We've all got you," he said, pulling Harry into his arms gently and holding him close, kissing his forehead, "I love you. Always,"

"I love you, too," Harry said, swallowing thickly, "Always,"

And as Severus left the Bank to go teach his classes and perform some damage control Harry felt safe, and warm, and loved, and all the things he had longed to feel for as long as he could remember.

"Mummy slayed some id-io-tic morons today," Evie told the goblins cheerfully, and Harry couldn't help but laugh.

They aren't that long at the moment, but we are making progress and I will continue adding to them the more music I listen to and when I have the time to do so. It is also where I have somewhat of an update schedule for my fics and will be keeping you up to date on what I am working on, in regards to fanfics, original works, and more things. The username is maraudering_paige on both of them so feel free to follow me, and we shall see how often and what kinds of content I can post when I can.
