Author's Notes:

Kutpreader: Only green lantern characters right now. Will probably show other alien races in the future.

Dragonlord001: You're right. With how he is now, he can't take on a seasoned lantern.

Hong1041303: I plan on updating weekly.

Gbumann: I saw someone mention that a long time ago. For fully trained pros, they don't act like it in the beginning.

Guest 1: Fixed it. Was tired the first time I wrote that part.

Guest 2: I'm glad you do.

Shin: Some people in Mha may get lantern rings, you just won't expect who. I don't know if I'll do the entire spectrum, but I have a few in mind right now. And you bet Mina is gonna be excited about aliens in the future.

Guest 3: Nope. With what I have planned, he is staying this way.

Thank you to everyone who followed and favorited this fic. I was shocked at how many people liked it in the first week. This is my first ever story on here, and I've been hyping myself up to make one for years. I had the idea for this fic for a couple of years now, but only now am I acting on it. Mainly because I'm in a Green Lantern mood.

So thank you again to everyone and enjoy the next chapter.

"Good morning Japan, and boy do we have some breaking news for you. Last night a ball of fire came crashing down at the border of the forest, believed to have been an asteroid. Once the heroes extinguished the flames from causing more damage they were shocked to find that it wasn't an asteroid that crashed in the forest, but a real UFO that came from space." The anchor lady said as pictures and footage played showcasing the alien spacecraft.

Inside their apartment, a family of three watched the news in shock while eating breakfast. Their pink-skinned daughter broke from her shock and began jumping excitedly.

"I knew they existed!" Mina screamed joyfully.

"From what our sources gathered, once the pro heroes discovered it was an alien spacecraft, the ship opened up with multiple aliens coming out and attacking everyone outside. All Might was on the scene and appeared to struggle with their biggest fighter before defeating them in battle." The anchor lady revealed.

Re-Destro sat in his office alone watching the news report with a frown. If someone like All Might struggled in a fight with one of them, then they posed a large threat to the quirked world. Including his army.

"While All Might was busy with his fight the other pro heroes were overwhelmed by the invading forces, even with the additional backup of other pros. The tide however quickly turned in favor of the heroes when an unknown third party entered the scene and swiftly dealt with the alien attackers. When he was later brought in for questioning by the police, they confirmed his identity to be that of Izuku Midoriya. A quirkless teenager that went missing nine months in the aftermath of the slime villain attack." She said with a cam video of the incident playing from nine months ago next to an image of Midoriya now.

Overhaul watched from his expensive leather couch, his interest peaked not only about the alien encounter but also about the quirkless boy, who now wielded a powerful weapon.

"He was however not alone as after the battle had been won another spaceship came down from the sky with two aliens coming out. One of them wore a similar costume to Midoriya's and took the aliens and spacecraft with him, while the other stayed behind with Midoriya and was later picked up from the police force headquarters after they were released, with Midoriya staying behind. Who were they, what happened to Midoriya, and what happens now after the discovery of aliens? Tune in soon when we cover the press conference later this evening." She signed off.

In a dark room sat a disfigured man tubed up to multiple machines. An evil smile spread across his featureless face, entranced by the power shown before him.

How busy Izuku's life was about to get very soon.

"Have no fear, for I am here! Have no fear, for I am here! Have no fear, for I am-"

Izuku slammed his hand on the All Might-themed alarm clock, silencing it of his famous catchphrase. He rubbed his eyes and got up from the bed letting the bedsheets slide off of him, revealing a well-defined physique he gained from years of training with some scars littered around it. He was only in his underwear because all of his old clothes no longer fit him. He would've asked his mom for some last night but she fell asleep before him, overwhelmed by the events of last night.

He shrugged it off and summoned his suit back on to appear decent. Now that it was morning with sunlight shining through his shades, Izuku could see all of his All Might merchandise he collected long ago. The now more mature Izuku cringed from seeing the obsessed shrine he made in his younger years.

'God, did I worship the man this much back then?' He thought to himself.

He made a mental note to take down most of it later. Right now, he was hungry.

Inko woke up to a smell coming from outside her room and was momentarily confused about who was cooking till the events of last night resurfaced.

Her son was back!

Quickly Inko threw the sheets off uncaring that she fell asleep in her clothes from yesterday. She hurried out her door and walked out of the hallway to find Izuku cooking breakfast in his green uniform.

"Good morning Mom. Breakfast will be served in a minute." He told her.

He had multiple green constructs around him helping him cook and set the table. Plenty of dishes were laid out filled with different foods and two plates with chopsticks.

"I'm finishing the omelets right now. Take a seat and I'll pour you some coffee." He said.

Inko obliged and sat down, nearly jumping from the coffee floating in front of her as it was poured into a mug next to her. She hesitantly reached for it and took it from the green-constructed hand before it disappeared.

"You- you didn't have to do all this Izuku." Inko stuttered to her son.

"Nonsense. It's my second day back and I felt like cooking something great." He said.

He took the pan and scooped some rice with a construct then made two balls before setting them on both plates. He then took the two omelets he made and set them on top of the rice balls, slicing them with a green knife and letting them spread over the rice.

"Bon Appétit." He joked.

He set all the dishes in the sink with a wave and sat down to enjoy his meal. Inko stared dumbfounded as her son began munching on his breakfast before she took her chopsticks and dug in herself. The second she took a bite of the omelet almost made Inko engulf the rest of it but stopped herself because of table manners.

"Izuku, this is amazing!" She exclaimed.

"Thanks! The ring walked me through it after I had it search for the best omelet recipe on the internet." He said.

"It can do that?" She asked.

"Yep. Mainly because earth technology isn't advanced enough to stop it from doing that." He answered drinking some coffee.

"Oh... why are you still in your costume?" She questioned.

"Uniform mom. My old clothes didn't fit me anymore and I didn't want to bother you with any of Dad's old clothes." He said.

"I'm sorry sweetie. I don't think any of his old stuff would fit you anyway. You have a much bigger... build than your father did." Inko told him.

"Ah drat. Wonder how I'm going to afford new clothes then." Izuku sighed.

Just then the doorbell rang surprising the two. Inko got up before Izuku could and opened the door to find a disheveled homeless man with an animal in a suit standing on his shoulder that she remembered from the police station. Inko was also surprised to see several news vans parked outside the apartment complex but were blocked by the police.

"Good morning Mrs. Midoriya. May we come in to speak with your son please." Nezu politely asked.

"Oh yes! Please, come in." Inko said, slightly shocked to see the animal principal at her home.

She moved aside letting the two walk in and closed the door after them. Izuku's eyes lit up with recognition when seeing Nezu.

"Ah, Principal Nezu. I thought I would be seeing you later." Izuku said.

"I'll admit Mr. Midoriya I got a little impatient, but the offer I have for you also couldn't wait any longer." Nezu said.

"Hmm, well alright then. Take a seat." Izuku offered.

"Thank you. The gentleman I have with me is pro-hero Eraserhead. He's one of the teachers at U.A." Nezu introduced before jumping off Aizawa's shoulder and onto a chair.

"Eraserhead?... oh, now I remember! You're that underground hero who could erase the quirk of someone when they're in your vision. Nice to meet you." Izuku said, having summoned a green hand across the table in front of Aizawa.

He only raised an eyebrow and took the green hand to shake. "Likewise I guess."

He immediately took his seat next to Nezu with Inko sitting down as well.

"Alright, what's the big offer?" Izuku asked still eating.

"Would you like a job at U.A. Mr. Midoriya?" Nezu asked.

Izuku stopped his chopsticks midway. "... you want me to work for you?"

"As what exactly?" Inko piped up.

"Why as a teacher of course. You must have a much broader knowledge of the universe than anyone else on the planet." Nezu said.

"That I do." Izuku simply replied.

"So I would like to open up a new elective about space that covers anything you believe would be important." Nezu explained.

"Well, that does sound like an interesting job. The only problem is that I didn't get to finish my education before I left Earth, considering I haven't reached high school yet." Izuku said.

"I've already thought of that and made up a test with the consent of the school board that I would like for you to take. Should you pass, you will automatically graduate with a high school diploma and be allowed to teach at my school." Nezu revealed.

"... should I pass and accept, how much would the pay be?" Izuku questioned.

Nezu simply reached into his vest to pull out a business card and pen. He wrote something down before clicking his pen and pushing the card to the two greenettes. Izuku took it to read with his mother leaning over, both their eyes widening at the amount of zeroes.

"... you got a deal." Izuku said sticking out his hand.

Nezu chuckled happily and shook the Green Lantern's hand. "I'm very happy to hear that Mr. Midoriya. However, that's not the only reason we are here."

"It isn't?" Inko asked.

"Afraid not mam. The government is holding a conference for Izuku Midoriya, with the press there to ask questions." Aizawa answered.

"I elected to be the messenger for convenience's sake, and I'm sure you wouldn't appreciate being told by some government agents." Nezu said.

"You're right. I guess I'll swing by later then if you can tell them that." Izuku said.

"I will Mr. Midoriya. Thank you for taking the time to hear us out. Call us as soon as you can for the test." Nezu bid farewell.

Aizawa only nodded and took Nezu placing him on his shoulder. Izuku this time got up to let them out and lock the door behind them. He walked back to the table and sat back down to finish breakfast.

"... that's a lot of money." Inko muttered.

"It is, but it doesn't help our situation right now." Izuku said.

Suddenly an idea popped up. "Hey Mom, do you want to help me take down some of my All Might merchandise? I was thinking of selling some of it."

"What!? I thought you loved all of those things." Inko said shocked.

"I do, but I kinda feel embarrassed having so many All Might-themed items. I'll keep a few for sentimental reasons, the rest we can sell. I know that plenty of them are incredibly valuable right now for being collector items." Izuku said.

"... well, only if you want to." Inko said.

"Great! Let's do it after we finish, I want to go out shopping later today after we sell everything." Izuku planned.

With that the two ate their delicious food, happy to be eating together again.

Hours later after emptying his room of most of his old stuff, Midoriya flew his screaming mom in a bubble with the box of items over to the mall in Musutafu. The moment they landed at the main entrance, Midoriya was immediately scolded by his mother.

"Ask. Me. Next. Time. If. I. Want. To. Fly. Instead. Of. Driving!" She shouted while hitting him with her purse.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry! Can we please not do this with people watching." Izuku pleaded to her.

Once Izuku managed to calm Inko down, the mother and son duo entered the building looking for a pawn shop. It wasn't long before people began to notice him.

"Isn't that the quirkless guy from the news about the aliens?" A teen asked his friend.

"He isn't quirkless. Didn't you see him making those green constructs from the videos?" He told his friend.

"He kinda looks cute, especially with those freckles." A woman said.

"Never mind that, didn't you see the way his suit hugs those muscles." Her friend leached.

"Do you see him, Mom? He helped All Might stop a bunch of aliens! His costume looks so cool!" A boy cheerful told his mom.

Izuku wasn't bothered by the comments, having experienced them plenty of times in other worlds. Though the kid's comment made him smile a bit.

Not too soon after both of the Midoriyas found the shop and entered. Many of the store's items contained mainly hero merchandise, full of rare collectibles you could no longer buy anymore. They stopped at the empty counter and Izuku tapped the bell sitting on the ledge. A moment later a large man came out looking bored.

"Welcome to Kenta's collector shop, how may I... help..." he stopped.

"Hi there! I was hoping I could trade in these All Might collectibles I own." Izuku said.

"... you're the green man from the news!" The owner exclaimed.

"I am." Was Izuku's response.

"Are you an alien?" The store owner asked.

"Nah, but I was abducted by them." Izuku laughed.

Inko elbowed him in the gut, making Izuku clear his throat and address the owner.

"Anyways, like I said I want to sell all these items in this box." He said.

Izuku placed the box on the counter and took out each item for the clerk to see, whose eyes shined each time he saw one.

"You have almost every piece of All Might merchandise that exists!" The man was awed.

"The only one I don't have is the tenth anniversary All Might poster. I kept a few things but they're easily findable in the market." Izuku revealed.

"So... how much you wanna bargain for them?"

An hour later they walked out with almost ten million yen in Inko's bank account. She nearly fainted in the store when the money was deposited into her account, but Izuku was ready for it.

"I'll tell you, that stuff was more valuable than I thought." Izuku said.

"We only paid a little bit for those things when you were younger." Inko massaged her head.

"When things are taken off the shelf, their value increases tenfold. Now let's go to a clothing store." Izuku told her.

13 Years Ago:

All Izuku did was scream as he shot into the sky and exited orbit. He didn't even question how he could hear himself scream in the void of space, but that mattered little as the stars blurred into lines. He flew faster and faster, past planets and suns until everything around him glowed green blinding him. Then suddenly, he saw the dark void again with a singular planet in front of him. He floated towards it slowing as he neared the surface and was stunned by the amazing sight before him.

The entire planet looked to be entirely made up of technology powered by green energy. He saw dozens of green figures flying through the air below him, leaving trails of green disappearing after them. He saw that he was approaching a building fast and closed his eyes bracing himself.

Only to shoot up from a bed with a shout, seeing that he was now in a dimly lit room. He looked around the room seeing no door and got off the bed setting his feet on the ground, and almost jumped from the lights turning on. As he stood up he noticed a mirror now with the light and stared at himself in shock.

Instead of his school clothes, he now wore a black bodysuit with green armor on his chest, wrists, and boots with a green belt sown into it. A glowing green symbol was displayed on his chest, glowing so bright the inner circle almost looked white. He noticed a glow coming from his right middle finger and lifted it to see a ring on it showing the same symbol on his chest. Izuku studied himself some more and noticed another thing about his masked eyes. While already green, they now glowed more brightly than before. If this was a hero costume, Izuku would give it an A for its theatrical appearance.

"Admiring yourself now are we?" An amused voice spoke up.

Izuku yelped turning to see someone with a similar-looking costume. Their appearance however was radically different, resembling a fish head with a bird's beak. He had the body of a man, lean but muscular.

"Uh, where am I?" Izuku asked.

"You are on Oa, the homeworld of the Green Lantern Corps." He answered.

"Green Lantern Corps?" Izuku asked confused.

"The Green Lantern Corps is a police force for the universe, split into thirty-six hundred sectors each protected by a Green Lantern from their sector. I am Tomar-Re, Green Lantern of sector 2813 and neighbor to yours, sector-" Tomar-Re revealed.

"Sector 2814- how do I know that!?" Izuku questioned.

"Your lantern ring plants your credentials into your mind, along with a few other things." Tomar-Re said.

"Like what?" Izuku asked.

"Let's go find out." He said.

With that Tomar-Re turned to a wall that opened up and momentarily blinded Midoriya. When he opened them he was greeted to the sight of the planet once again and marveled at the scope of it. With how far his eyes could see the city stretched over the horizon in all directions, made entirely of metal powered by green energy. It was the most beautiful sight Midoriya had ever seen in his life.

He went to follow Tomar-Re but stopped when he saw him stand on the edge of the platform. Then suddenly, Tomar-Re stepped off and fell from the building. Izuku cried out and rushed to where he fell, only to jump back when Tomar-Re flew back up in a green aura.

"How are you doing that? Is that your quirk?" Izuku asked.

"Quirk? No, my ring grants me the ability of flight, as does yours. All you have to do is think it." Tomar-Re said.

Izuku was giddy about having the power of flight, a quirk-like ability. He thought long and hard about flying but stayed rooted to his spot.

"Maybe you need some motivation." Tomar-Re said.

Then he made a big green hand and shoved Midoriya off the platform, who screamed his way down the building. The feeling clicked as he neared the surface and shot up inches from the ground. He blasted back to the top of the building where Tomar-Re watched pleased with his return.

"You could've killed me!" Midoriya shouted.

"No, I wouldn't. That trick has always worked for recruits. Now follow me if you'd like to learn more." Tomar-Re said.

He flew off and Midoriya struggled to follow, having difficulty staying straight while flying. Inside however he was overjoyed that he could fly, feeling like he now had the proper chance to become a hero. As they two flew through the planet, Izuku still marveled at the architecture of the world.

"This place is amazing." Izuku awed.

"As it should be. Oa is set in the middle of the universe, so we set our base here to be at our most vigilante." Tomar-Re said.

"That's... really far away from Earth." Izuku said.

"That it is. Don't worry though, you will be sent back home to patrol your sector once you've completed your training." Tomar-Re said.

"Oh good. How long will that take?" Izuku asked.

"A few months here. Time is different on Oa, so when you return to Earth it will only have been a month at most." Tomar-Re revealed.

"Jeez, my mom is gonna be worried sick." Izuku said.

"Unfortunately so. You are quite young for a Green Lantern, maybe even the youngest." Tomar-Re said.

Soon the two came across a tower and descended to its entrance. Tomar-Re gracefully landed where Izuku almost fell forward.

"You will get the hang of it in time." Tomar-Re said.

He led Izuku through the large hallway and stopped at a closed door. Tomar-Re pressed his ring against the door opening it, revealing a giant room bathed in green light from the lantern sitting in the center.

"What is that?" Izuku asked.

"That is the central power battery. It contains the essence of will inside it, the energy our rings use to give us our abilities." Tomar-Re answered.

"So why are we here then?" Izuku said.

"Every new Green Lantern comes here to experience the power of the core, to understand the power they would be wielding. An initiation you could call it. Now, place your ring into the battery and speak the oath." Tomar-Re told him.

"What's the oath?" Izuku asked.

"You'll know it when you connect with it." Tomar-Re said.

Izuku turned to the battery and stepped forward. He stood in front and raised his ring to the battery, and stuck it inside. A power swept through Izuku, almost overwhelming his entire being. His eyes glowed brightly and began to speak.

"In brightest day."

"In blackest night."

"No evil shall escape my sight."

"Let those who worship evil's might."

"Beware my power."

"Green Lantern's light."

With that, Izuku felt charged up from the speech alone. His ring glowed brightly when he took it out, radiating great power. Tomar-Re then spoke up making Izuku turn to him.

"You are now officially a Green Lantern, Izuku Midoriya. You're training begins now." He said.

That was the day Izuku's life changed forever.

Present Day:

Izuku and Inko walked out of a clothing store carrying multiple bags. All belonged to Izuku except a couple that was his mom's. He now wore a shirt and jeans with a jacket. He held a few boxes of shoes and wore one of them, a pair of boots.

"You didn't have to get me anything." Inko said.

"I wanted to. Consider it one of my gifts to you for being away for so long." Izuku assured her.

"You don't need to give me any gifts for that sweetie. Just having you back is enough." She told him.

Izuku smiled and brought her in a one-arm hug. "I'm glad to hear that, but I'm still gonna spoil you. Let's get some ice cream, I haven't had one in over a decade."

The greenettes began walking to the ice cream shop in the mall, however stopped when Izuku noticed a person running. A few more people ran in the same direction, looking afraid of whatever was behind them.

"... stay here Mom. I'm gonna be a sec." Izuku told her.

"Wait, you can't go that way! What if there's a villain on the loose!?" Inko exclaimed.

"I'll be fine Mom. I have the most powerful weapon in the world with me." Izuku said.

His ring glowed and his suit appeared over his clothes in a flash of light. He took off flying through the mall going past pedestrians who ran the opposite way. He stopped when he saw mall police lying down in front of a bank. He dropped down and checked, finding two of them knocked unconscious from injuries and one dead. He looked in the bank and noticed a foot sticking out from behind the desk. He ran over to see a few workers with small spikes sticking from their shoulders and necks. Their eyes were wide with fear and looked up at him, but their heads didn't move. Izuku had a theory.

"Move your eyes up and down if you're paralyzed." Izuku ordered.

They all did and Izuku believed the spikes were coated with a paralysis poison. He plucked them all out with green constructs and had his ring analyze the toxin.

"Calculating... the poison causes paralysis and only lasts for fifteen minutes. Medical personnel is now on the way." His ring said.

"Okay. Help will arrive soon. I have something to deal with." Izuku told them.

He got up and walked deeper into the bank before discovering the vault door. It was partially opened and Izuku cautiously peered in, only to dodge back when several spikes were lodged in the wall where his head was. Izuku summoned a giant ram and flung it against the vault door, ripping it off its hinges and crashing against the wall inside. Izuku saw three figures who managed to dodge out of the way except for one, whose rocky hand limped on the floor and groaned in pain.

"Shit! He got Boulder!" A porcupine-headed man shouted to his friends. Izuku assumed this was the one who paralyzed people.

The other two were human-looking apart from their arms. The mean one had mini guns in place of his hands while the lanky one had drills.

"Waist him!" The driller said.

He jumped to attack Izuku who lazily made a construct under him and flung it up against him, smashing him in the roof unconscious. The porcupine guy shot out more spikes and Izuku made a bouncy wall to catch them. He made another wall blocking the mini gunman's bullets from hitting him and shot out the spikes from the other wall into him. He wobbled for a moment before falling still like a plank on his back. Izuku turned to the sweating Porcupine man and raised an eyebrow.

"... I-I give up! I give up!" He shouted with his hands raised.

Still pissed about the hurt civilians and dead mall cop, Izuku made a large fist and rammed it into the man. When he made it disappear, the porcupine man fell out of the wall where an outline of him stood and face-planted into the floor.

Izuku took a breath and began rounding up the villains. He grabbed the three goons and moved the vault door aside where a rock-skinned man lay unconscious, and took him too before encasing all four bank robbers in a constructed box. He took them outside where the pro hero, Kamui Woods, had just arrived.

"What happened- wait, aren't you from the green man from the crash site." Kamui questioned.

"That's me. It's... interesting to see you again Kamui Woods." Izuku said.

"Have me met?" He asked.

"You didn't watch the news, huh? You better check up on that." Izuku told him.

Just then two paramedics arrived. "We got the call! Where are they?" One asked, his friend checking up on the downed mall security.

"Behind the front desk. They're relatively unharmed but will probably be distressed in a few minutes." Izuku told him.

He ran off while Izuku went back into the bank, but was stopped by Kamui. "Where are you going?"

"To repair some of the damages that were caused in the fight." Izuku shrugged off.

He began summoning dozens of constructs that picked up every piece of debris and refitted them to their original place. He collected the scattered money and neatly set it on a table inside before picking up the vault door. He took it back out and repaired the hinges, locking it back in place.

"There we go, brand new." Izuku said.

Kamui Woods only watched with an open mouth. Never before has he seen collateral damage be repaired in short of a time. This guy didn't have to worry about collateral damage.

'It's not fair. He has a power that every pro hero wishes they had.' He whined.

A half-hour later after talking with the cops and giving help to the civilians, Izuku watched as the four were transported away in a police van in chains. A few other pros showed up but quickly left when the action already ended. One wanted to take Izuku in for vigilantism, but couldn't because of one thing.

Izuku was quirkless.

Well more like because of a few things, with his quirkless status being one of them. There were no laws for his power ring at the moment, but Izuku knew that may change soon. Plus, whatever vigilante laws there were back then for the quirkless have long been redacted for what reason, Izuku didn't know but he sure appreciated it.

With all that done, Izuku returned to his mother back in his original clothes. She didn't look too happy, but that quickly changed when he let her splurge on her chocolate sundae. Izuku only enjoyed spending time with her while eating his mint ice cream. The only thing that dampened his mood was the hearing he had to go to.

Whatever happens, Izuku was gonna face it head on.
