Happy Sunday all! I hope you've had a fantastic week, if not, hopefully this makes it better. So, I have posted a new story, Voyagers. Of course, it's weird and it's Edward with a tail, my favorite combo. I will be posting chapter two after I upload this one. Enjoy!

Chapter Thirty-Two

As Edward said, he had me for the rest of the day. He took me to the downtown art scene, which I thought was going to be lame, but I actually really enjoyed myself. We walked around, hand in hand, looking at the different art displays, talking with the artists. It reminded me a lot of my mother.

After spending two hours exploring the art district, he took me to a little theater at the end of the street. It was a small hidden gem where performance artists would display their various talents. There were mimes, jugglers, magicians, and comedians. Edward referred to them as underground artists. It was pretty cool.

The art district ate up a good chunk of the day, which was fine with me. I enjoyed it. The last thing on our list was a big surprise that landed us in a large parking garage with a bunch of fancy cars.

"Um, these cars are cool and all, but I'm not a car person." I said.

He laughed and pulled out a box of keys. "I know you're not, but we're only here for one car. Your pick."

I frowned. "My pick? What do you mean, don't these cars belong to someone?"

"Yeah, me." He grinned. "This is my parking garage where I store all of my best cars. I rent it out every month. So, pick a set of keys and let's see what we're driving."

I laughed and dug my hand through the pile of keys. I played it up a bit, digging around for dramatic effect. After a moment, I pulled out a pair of silver keys. Edward's eyes lit up like a little kid.

"Your favorite, I'm assuming?" I said.

"Oh yeah," He chuckled, "Hit that big blue button."

He pressed the button the key and a pair of steel doors on the concrete wall slowly opened. My eyes widened as I was presented with a cherry red sport car. It was sleek and low to the ground. I wasn't sure what kind of car it was, but Edward seemed to be enthusiastic about it.

"This is my pride and joy," He said, walking into the room, gently running his hand along the car. "She's pretty, isn't she?"

"Yeah, she looks nice." I smiled as I pressed the door open button. Both doors opened upwards. "I'm driving right?"

He laughed and took the keys from me, "As much as I trust you, I have to draw a line here. This is my pride and joy."

"I can drive," I said, "I'm a very good driver."

He laughed again, "Get in the passenger side. You don't even know where we're going."

I sighed. "Alright fine. I'll be driven around."

Truth was this car was extremely nice and I didn't trust myself not to wreck it. If I did damage it in any way, I'd feel horrible, and I knew I wouldn't be able to afford a repair on this car.

The interior of the car was a dark black. The seats were leather and had accents of the same red from the outside. Edward sure seemed proud of this car as he boosted about it.

"I got this on my sixteenth birthday. My dad gave me a car budget and said I could pick anything I wanted. Of course, I negotiated and begged for this one. It was in Italy, and this was one of fifty they made, so it was pricy. My dad almost didn't get it for me, but we ended up going to Greece for my sixteenth birthday and my dad surprised me with it. Originally, it was black, but I thought red was much better. And the interior was white, but I think this suits it better."

It was clear he wanted me to complement his car, he was proud of it. And as much as I wanted to tease him about it, even I thought it would be too much a shot at his ego.

"It is a very nice car," I said.

He laughed. "You don't care either way do you?"

I snorted. "Okay you got me. But it's not because I don't like the car, I'm just not really interested in cars in general."

"Understood. Rosalie is the only woman who actually stops to compliment my car."

"Well, let's go to wherever. I hope it's to dinner because I am starved."

He chuckled. "It is, but you have to wear a blindfold."

"A blindfold? Are you serious? I'm not wearing a blindfold."

"Come on, please? It'll ruin it if you know where we're going."

I sighed heavily. "Alright. Fine. But dinner better be amazing."

He laughed as he tied the blindfold around my eyes. I went along with his silliness because this meant a lot to him. And I was actually having fun. I just liked teasing him.

We drove for about forty-five minutes. I huffed, teasingly of course, at the long journey. He would laugh and squeeze my upper thigh.

"Alright, we're here." He said as he pulled the car to a stop.

"Are you going to help me out?" I asked, reaching for my blindfold.

"Yes, do not take it off." He said as he got out of the car. I laughed as he opened my side of the door and helped me out. I brushed my dress off as I stood.

"You look so beautiful," He said before kissing my cheek. "Are you ready to see where we're having dinner?"

"Yes," I said.

He untied the blindfold and spun me. I smiled as I looked at the large boat swaying gently at the end of a well-lit dock.

"Dinner on a boat named Esme," I grinned, "How romantic."

"Oh just wait, I have another big surprise."

"I think I should tell you; I don't really like surp— Oh my god!" I screamed as I recognized a man standing at the end of a dock.

I ran down the dock and jumped into my father's arms. He laughed and held me tightly.

"Hey, Bella," He said, squeezing me.

"Oh my god, dad, what are you doing here?" I asked, squeezing my arms tightly around his neck.

"Well, your boyfriend said you were really missing me, and he offered to fly me out for a weekend visit. I couldn't pass up the chance to see my little girl."

I blushed, "I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming. When did you get in?"

"This morning. Your boyfriend told me about your special date, so we thought it would be better if I surprised you at dinner."

I pulled away from him, "Well, I am really surprised."

I looked towards Edward who was walking up to us with a large grin. He extended my hand to my dad.

"Mr. Swan, sir, it's nice to finally meet you." Edward said.

"Nice to meet you to." My dad said. shaking his hand. "I can't believe my little red girl didn't tell me about her boyfriend."

"Oh little red girl," Edward nodded his head. "Bella never told me she had a nickname."

I blushed biting the inside of my cheek; now I knew why this bastard brought my dad here.

"Yeah, she has plenty of nicknames," My dad laughed. "So, I am starved, and I would love to get to know the boy who my daughter is smitten with. Can we get on and have dinner?"

"Of course, sir," Edward grinned as he grabbed my hand. "You can head right on. We have plenty of time to get to know one another. And eat."

"You suck so bad." I whispered to Edward when my dad turned his back. "You are so sneaky."

"Well, I figured since you've gotten to know my family so well, it was only fair I get to know your dad. And for him to get to know me."

"And you thought it was smart telling him that you were my boyfriend?"

"I said we've very recently declared this." He chuckled.

"Hmm and how honest are you planning on being with the sheriff?"

"We won't tell him about that part."

"I'm surprised you invited him. I was sure you'd want to have dinner with just me."

"Hey, fair is fair. I need something to protect me from my nickname. I have a feeling I'm going to get all of that information tonight."

"Oh you suck so bad." I whispered again, shaking my head.

On The Harbor

Edward and my dad were having such a hard laugh at my expense. I was sitting, red faced, as my dad regaled Edward with embarrassing stories of my childhood.

"In hindsight we probably should've let her skip graduation performance. She told us she was going to fall off stage, and sure as shit, she did."

Edward was practically crying. "What happened after she fell?"

"She cried and ran down the aisle to me, then tripped again before she got to me." My dad laughed as he cut into his steak. "Unfortunately, she never really learned balanced. Even after all these years."

"Okay, enough. Shut up both of you," I said, roughly stabbing my piece of chicken.

"Alright, we're finished," Dad said. "I guess that's enough for now. We'll have plenty of time to talk about your childhood. I can even bring the home movies. They're so much better."

"I would pay you for them." Edward chuckled.

I turned and gave Edward a sour look. "No home movies." Then I looked to my dad, "And you're forbidden from showing anyone the movies."

"Alright," My dad said. "So, I need to know more about this situation." He said, motioning to Edward and me. "How did you two come to date? And why didn't you say anything Bella?"

I squirmed in a seat a bit. I was hoping my dad wouldn't ask this, but I knew he would.

"We met last year at the commencement ceremony," Edward was quick to say. "After that, we kept texting and hanging out. We just officially declared ourselves boyfriend and girlfriend, but we've been seeing each other for a little while now."

"Ah, I see. And you fly your girlfriend's father out to meet you before you've formally declared a relationship status? Ballsy. I like it."

"Yeah, well, it's more of a getting even situation. Bella has met all of my family and has learned pretty much all of the embarrassing things about me. So, it's definitely payback." Edward chuckled. "And Bella's been talking about how much she misses you. I thought it would be nice for her to see you."

"It was very nice," I smiled at Edward before looking at my dad. "I'm really glad you came out here dad. I've missed you like crazy."

He smiled. "Well, maybe then it's time you consider coming on home."

I rolled my eyes. "Not this argument again."

"Oh come on, Bells. There's a couple nursing positions open at Forks hospital."

"No dad. I really love my job. Really, I do."

He sighed before looking at Edward. "It was worth a shot. I miss my Bellsy. I wish she'd come back home. Maybe you can convince her to come home."

Edward laughed, "I wish I could Mr. Swan, but I do enjoy having your daughter here. She's wonderful. And she's really brightened up my life."

Dad's eyebrows furrowed. "Are you two, uh—,"

"No dad!" I said quickly, blushing. "Don't ask us that!"

He blushed now. "Well, I just have to make sure kiddo, this was around the time your mother and I had you."

I rolled my eyes. "Oh my god. Stop. Trust me, we're not doing anything. I don't want kids."

Dad looked to Edward, "And do you want kids?"

"One day, I'd like to have a couple." He said. "Not now though. I am not ready for kids now."

"Eh you'll never get kids out of that one," Dad chuckled, pointing at me. "Bella hates kids."

"I don't hate kids," I snapped. "I'm just not good with them."

"She hates them." Dad said to Edward. "One time, she begrudgingly volunteered to babysit our neighbors' 2-year-old twins, and boy, I tell ya, Bella is not good with them. One blew their nose into her shirt; she called their mom and told her to come get them. It was bad. After that, she told me she would never ever babysit again."

Edward was chuckling. "See, I'm the opposite. I've always loved kids. I hope to have a big family one day."

"How big?" Dad asked as he took a bite of his steak.

"I'd like to have about six or eight kids."

I nearly choked on my wine. "Eight kids?!"

Edward and dad laughed. "Yeah, what's wrong with eight? It's a good size."

"That sounds god awful." I said, wiping my mouth. "I couldn't even fathom having one. Let alone eight."

Dad chuckled. "Perhaps the two of you should work that out before the wedding."

I threw a nasty look at my dad. "Shut up, dad. Don't say that. That makes me feel weird."

Edward looked at his phone and frowned. "As sorry as I am to cut this short, I'm going to have to head to the office."

My dad gave Edward a very familiar work. "You work a lot?"

"Unfortunately sometimes," Edward sighed heavily. "And with my father's heart attack, I have a lot more to take care of now."

"That's fine," I said as I looked around. "How do we get back? You gonna swim?"

Edward chuckled. "No, we're almost to the pier. I will leave from there."

I frowned. "I'm sad you have to go before dessert."

"Don't worry," He grinned at me. "I'll pick up something on the way. But you and your dad enjoy the rest of the night."

The boat docked and we all exited the boat. Dad stood by the boat, looking it over while I stood at the black SUV with Edward, wishing him goodbye.

"Enjoy your night," He smiled as he stood in the door.

I smiled. "Thanks for bringing my dad out here. It was way too nice."

He chuckled. "It was a pleasure. I did it more for me. I wanted to know more about the girl I'm wooing."

"Okay," I groaned, shaking my head. "No wonder you're not a lady's man when you talk like that."

"Whatever," He laughed. "Have a good night. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Will I see you tomorrow?" I asked as he sat down in the seat.

"I certainly hope so." He smiled before shutting the door and rolling the window down. "Have a fantastic night, beautiful."
