Hey it's time for chapter 9. I do not own Pokémon or Yu-gi-oh. Also, what do you guys think about rush duels because to me when I see it all i see are speed duels with different sets of rules.
(At LID)
Shay was in the cafeteria trying to eat his breakfast but a certain fusion duelist who was Zane was eating across from him making it hard for him to eat.
"This sure beats the convenient store food I've been eating." Zane said as he took a bite of his food as Shay looked at him.
"Why are you talking to me like we are friends when we are not?!" Shay said annoyed.
"I'm friends with your brother. I told you and Declan last night remember." Zane said.
(Flashback)
Zane went into a room that the men in suits led him to. Inside was Declan and Shay with Declan behind a desk and Shay up against the wall.
"So, I assume that you're the professor's son Declan Akaba?" Zane asked.
"Yes I am." Declan answered.
Declan then turned on a screen that showed Zane and Aeron duel with Zane Xzy summoning.
" I'll get the most important question out of the way. Are you friend or foe?" Declan said.
"I'm a friend of Satoshi Fudo but you know him as Ash Ketchum." Zane said.
Zane then went on to explain how he met Ash in Xyz and how he went searching for him when he vanished until he found him in standard.
(Flashback end)
Shay just looked at Zane, still not convinced that he's telling the truth.
"You honestly expect me to believe you are friends with my brother?" Shay said.
"You can ask him when he gets his memories back." Zane said as he got up ready to leave but turned around.
"Hey, are you sure Satoshi was born in the Xyz dimension?" The cyber dragon user asked.
"Yeah of course." Shay said wondering what Zane meant.
"I just think it's strange that he is the only one in the Xyz dimension that has synchro monsters." Zane said as he walked away leaving Shay to think on what he said.
(Arena)
Ash and everyone are currently in the stands watching Zuzu as she's about to win her duel against her opponent who had a Five headed dragon on the field.
"Now I play Polymerization with it I fuse my Mozarta with my Serenade!" Zuzu said.
"Alright lady's time to harmonize your voices into a sweet melody I fusion summon Bloom Diva the melodious choir!" As Bloom diva appeared.
Bloom Diva The Melodious Choir LV6: (ATK/1000)
"Now I'll have her attack your dragon and thanks to her effect she is not destroyed and you take the damage instead of me." Zuzu said as Bloom diva attacked the dragon.

As the action field disappeared everyone in You show cheers for Zuzu winning giving off a lot of energy expert Yuya who was drained after what happened in his duel with Iggy. What happened was that when it looked like Yuya was about to lose, some strange force took over him and the next thing he knew was that he beat Iggy.
Everyone was now in the building congratulating Zuzu on her win.
"Wait to go Zuzu!" Ally said.
"You were great. I admit I was nervous when your opponent brought out the Five headed Dragon." Tate said.
"It really gave me the shivers." Federick said.
"That's my sister." Celina said, giving Zuzu a hug.
"You were awesome." Ash said.
"Thanks everyone." Zuzu said she then noticed Yuya looking down in the dumps.
"Hey everything is going to be ok." She said trying to cheer up her Boyfriend as Yuya looked at her.
"Yeah you're right in fact how about after we finish up today we go out on our first date." Yuya said.
"Sure." Zuzu said.
Ash just watched as everyone surrounded Yuya and Zuzu giving them ideas for first date then thought that he had to tell them about him getting his memories back but was scared of how they would react especially Celina. Astral noticed his friend's worried look then whispered something to him.
"Can we talk in private?" Astral asked Ash nodded as the two made their way to be alone.
Once they were alone, Astral asked Ash what was wrong with him.
"What's troubling you?" Astral asked.
"I got my memories back." Ash said making Astral happy.
"That's great. So what is the problem?" Astral said.
"The problem is how do I tell them? Hey turns out I had memory problems and after I was unconscious I got them back so which means everything Shay told me was true!" Ash said as he caught his breath.
Astral looked at the boy and felt like he was more worried about something else or more like someone else.
"Are sure it's your friends you are worried about or is it a certain girlfriend?" Astral said.
Ash nodded his head then got a sad look on his face.
"What if she hates me when I tell her?" Ash said.
"What if she doesn't?" Astral said.
Ash looked at Astral then took a deep breath.
"Good point I'll tell her after my duel." Ash said as he and Astral made their way to the duel arena.
Once Ash made it to the duel arena and waited for his opponent who is Dipper and after an Hour of waiting Nico made an announcement.
"Sense Dipper failed to show up. The winner of this round is Ash Ketchum." Nico announced.
Ash left the duel field and when he met up with you show and saw an angry Celina.
"I can't believe that Dipper guy didn't show up. If I find him I'm gonna." Celina said but Ash started to massage her shoulders.
"Hey now it's going to be fine, how about we go for a walk and then get you a big pretzel you've been wanting to try." Ash said, trying to calm his girlfriend down.
"And nachos?" Celina said as Ash nodded, getting her to smile.
After leaving their friends and walking a while they are now in a big parking garage then turned to face Celina.
"Celina, there's something I have to tell you." Ash said in a serious tone.
"Ok?" Celina said a little worried.
" First when you were at Duel Academy, have you ever heard of a duelist called the Shining star of Heartland?" Ash asked as Celina nodded.
"Yes everybody knew about him he was like the final boss of a videogame, but he then just disappeared somehow." Celina said.
"Well I'm him." Ash said, getting Celina's eyes to widen in surprise.
"I know this is a shock but it's the truth. I was unaware that I lost my memories of that time but the time we spent together and my love for you it was all real. He said as tears began to come down his face.
Celina put her hands on Ash's face and gently wiped away his tears with her thumbs then looked at him gently.
"It's ok I know your love for me is real and how could you have known that your memories were gone like I said before you will always be the boy I love." Celina said as she kissed Ash on the lips.
As they enjoyed the kiss a mysterious hooded figure appeared and interrupted them.
"Finally found you shining star of heartland." The hooded figure said getting Ash and Celina looked at his direction.
"Who are you?" Ash said as he put his arm in front of Celina.
The figure removed his cloak to reveal an adult male dress as he was in the army with an eye patch covering his left eye. Celina instantly knew who the man was.
"Barrett!" Celina said as Ash looked at her.
"You know this guy?" Ash said.
"Yes, he's one of the Duel academies generals. What are you even doing here?" Celina asked the adult male.
"I was sent by the professor to finish the shining star of heartland once and for all and while I'm at it I'll bring you back with me." Barrett said, getting Ash angry.
"I'm not going anywhere with you!" Celina said as Barrett sighed.
"Celina be reasonable." Barrett said but Celina shook her head and started shouting.
"No, I know what Duel Academy did to the Xyz dimension, like how they turned the people of xyz who weren't duelists into cards and how they treat it as some sick game." Celina said, taking a deep breath after shouting as Barrett just looked at the girl.
"So your planning on turning against your home and after everything that Duel academy has done for you?" Barrett question.
"I realized that duel academy was nothing more than a prison to me but here in stander I found a family and even love." Celina said as she took Ash's hand and looked at each other.
Barrett just sighed and took out a card.
"You're really going to fight against duel academy for the people of standard they aren't even great duelists." Barrett said as he revealed the card to be Dipper.
Ash and Celina were horrified at what they saw which got Ash even more mad as he walked up.
"I'm not going to let you get away with what you did!" Ash yelled as he put on his duel disk and activated it.
"Bring it on." Barrett said as he activated his duel disk.
"DUEL!" Ash and Barrett said.

"I'll go first and I start by playing the continuous spell Beastborg fusioner." Barrett said.
" With this I can fusion summon 1 Beastborg fusion monster with monsters from my hand or field so I fuse my Panther warrior and my Jade Knight to bring a Predator that will hunt you down to no end I fusion summon Beastborg Panther Predator! As a Panther warrior appears but half of it was mechanical.
Beastborg Panther Predator LV6: (ATK/1600)
"Now Panther Predator effect once per turn I can deal you damage equal to half of its Attack points!" As Barrett monster fired a beam at Ash.

"I'll set two cards face down then end my turn." Barrett said. (Hand:0)
"My turn I draw." Ash said with a bit of anger in his voice. (Hand:6)
"I play starlight fusion with this I can fusion summon a monster with cards from my hand or deck."
(Starlight Fusion: Type normal spell: Use card from the hand or deck to fusion summon.)
"I will use Shining star Jumper2 and Trainliner from my deck to bring out a hero that will send you away with his kick. I fusion summon Shining star ultra hero! As a hero in a white and blue hero suit and wearing a helmet with a mouth guard, yellow eyes and a letter s on the head and a long red scarf appears.
(Shining star ultra hero LV6: ATK/2000 DEF/2000: Attribute: light: Type Warrior/Effect/Fusion: Effect: When destroyed add 2 shining star monsters from the graveyard to your hand.)
"Now ultra hero send that panther packing." Ultra hero jumped up and spins then stopped and extended his leg ford ready a kick and hit Barrett monster and destroyed it.

" You activated my trap Beastborg medal of the shield for every 100 points of damage I take my shield gets 1 metal and if you think that's it for my monster well you're wrong because when panther predator is destroyed, I can then summon the monsters that were used to summon him." Barrett said as Panther warrior and Jade knight appeared.

"I end my turn." Ash said (Hand:5)
"My turn I draw." Barrett said. (Hand:1)
" I activate my continuous spell again and fuse my monsters to out another panther predator!" He said as another panther predator appeared.
Beastborg Panther Predator LV6: (ATK/1600)
"Now for my medal of the shield other effect by sending it to the graveyard I can power up my panther by 100 points for every counter on it." Barrett said as his panther got stronger.
Beastborg Panther Predator LV6: (ATK/1600=2000)
"I now play my last facedown Beastborg medal of the blade for every 100 points of damage you take I place 1 medal counter on my Panther predator effect is like before you take damage equal to half its attack points." As his monster blasted Ash with energy.

"Now my medal of the blade gets 10 counters but it won't stay for long like my medal of the shield. I can send this card to the graveyard and increase my monster Attack points by 100 until the end of my turn." As the panther predator got stronger.

"Now Panther Predator put that hero in permanent retirement!" Barrett ordered as his monster slash ultra hero and destroyed it.

"When ultra hero is destroyed I can add 2 shining star monsters from my graveyard to my hand!" Ash said as he added jumper2 and trainliner to his hand.
"I end my turn." Barrett said. (Hand:1)
Beastborg Panther Predator LV6: (ATK/2000)
"My turn I draw!" Ash said and was about to make his move until Barrett spoke. (Hand:8)
"You know I've heard stories about the shining star of heartland like how he took down 10 Obelisk force members in 1 duel. But based on how this duel is going your nothing special." Barrett said not impressed with Ash.
"You haven't seen anything yet." Ash said as he took 2 cards from his hand.
"I set the Pendulum scale with scale 8 shining star jumper2 and scale 1 shining star trainliner!" As he placed the cards on the edges of his duel blade as jumper2 and trainliner with the numbers 8 and 1 appearing under them.
(Shining star Jumper2 lv3: Scale 8: Pendulum effect: Choose one monster on the field and it can attack directly but the rest of your monsters can't attack.)
(Shining star Trainliner lv5: Scale 1: Pendulum effect: choose one monster and it does piercing damage when attacking a defense position monster.)
"I can now summon monsters 2-7 at the same time swing spirits of the pendulum show me the path to victory. My monsters are ready to unite and fight!" As a portal opened up and 3 lights came out.
"Time to heat things up Charizard: The fire flying ace, step into the ring Hawlucha: the wrestling bird,show them the results of your training Riolu: The emanation beast!" As Ash's monsters appeared.

Hawlucha: The wrestling bird lv4: (ATK/1900)
Riolu: The Emanation beast lv4: (ATK/1500)
"Wait, what's a pendulum summoning and I've never seen monsters like those before?" Barrett questioned.
"You haven't seen anything yet. Now I build the overlay network with my lv4 hawlucha and my lv4 riolu!" Ash said as hawlucha and riolu turned into energy then went into a portal.
"You guys at duel academy hurt so many people and now it's payback time I XYZ summon here comes number 39: Utopia!" As Utopia appeared and struck a pose.
Number 39: Utopia R4 units2: (ATK/2500)
Celina was surprised that Ash played a number card like Sylvio did.
"Another number card, how many are there?" Celina question as Ash continued his turn.
"Next I activate the effect of shining star Trap falcon by sending it to the graveyard. I can activate a trap card from my hand and the card I choose is Baton pass!" Ash said as he sent trap falcon to the graveyard then played his trap.
"What does that do?" Barrett asked as Ash just smiled.
"Simple by tributing a monster like my Charizard I can then add his attack points to my Utopia." Ash explained as Charizard vanished and Utopia got stronger.
Number 39: Utopia R4 units2: (ATK/2500=5000)
"Not bad but." Barrett started but Ash interrupted him.
"Let me guess you're about to say I'll still have life points left right?" Ash said while Barrett got a look of annoyance.
"It's true when your Utopia attacks my Panther I'll still have 600 life points." Barrett said but Ash just sighed.
"No matter who's dueling one of the opponents are always too quick to assume they will still have life points." Ash said.
"What are you saying?" Barrett asked.
"This I activate my Jumper2 pendulum effect. I can choose a monster on my field and have it attack you directly!" Ash said as Utopia glowed white.
"Now go Utopia rising sun slash!" As Utopia tosses up his sword then catches it then slash Barrett.

As the monsters on the field disappeared Ash made his way over to Barrett who was now laying down on his back he then took the card that was Dipper then walked back to Celina.
"Glad you're ok." Celina said as she hugged him.
"Was there any doubt?" Ash said as he then turned his head to face Barrett.
"Deliver this message to tell your professor that the shining star of heartland is back and I'm going to stop his selfish plans." He said as Barrett struggled to get up.
"Oh I will and he will send all of duel academy to finish you." Barrett said as the force return system sent him back.
After he left Ash and Celina looked at each other.
"Should we let everyone in standard know what's going to happen?" Celina asked.
Ash was about to answer until Declan came out of nowhere and spoke.
"I would advise against that." Declan said as Ash and Celina turned to face him.
"Declan! Let me guess you were watching the whole time right?!" Ash said.
"Of Course I was. I keep a close eye on anything unusual." Declan said as Celina realized something familiar about Declan.
"Wait a minute I remember seeing you at duel academy when I was a kid." Celina said as Declan nodded conferming.
"Puting that you two met aside, why can't we let the people of standard know about everything and give them a chance to prepare for what's coming?" Ash asked but Declan just pushed up his glasses.
"And what good will that do? They probably won't believe you or it will cause a panic." Declan said as Ash sighed because he knew that the boy was right.
"Your right, come on Celina let's get back to the others." Ash said as he took her hand and started to walk away.
As they walked back to their friends Declan turned to see them and had a thought.
"Let's see how strong you are now that you have your memories back." Declan thought.
Ash and Celina made it back to the you show gang but not before getting Celina her food and sat with their friends.
"You guys were gone for a long time." Tate said.
"You will understand when you get a girlfriend buddy." Ash said as he ruffled the blue hair boy's hair.
Celina was sitting next to Zuzu who was looking at her sister with worry.
"You're going to get a tummy ache if you keep eating that junk food." Zuzu said as she watched Celina dip a piece of her pretzel in her nacho cheese.
"It will be fine." Celina said as she knew that her fast healing will protect her.
"Guy's Nico is about to say something." Yuya said as everyone focused on the announcer.
"Ladies and gentlemen I have exciting news to share!" Nico said with a big grin on his face.
"Since Ash ketchum's opponent didn't show up to their duel it's been decided that tomorrow's duel will be a tag duel with Ash ketchum and his partner will be Celina Boyle!" He announce as the crowd shouted in excitement
"Tag duel!" Ash and Celina shouted together.
"You guys are going to need to bring your A game." Skip said.
"I wonder who their opponents are going to be?" Yoko questions.
"And their opponents will be Brock stone and Rex raptor! With that, today's duels are over. Have a good night." Nico said as everyone in the stands began to leave.
(Yuya's home)
After everyone left the stadium Yuya and Zuzu went out on their date while Ash and Celina worked on strategies except Celina was having a bit of tummy trouble at the moment.
"Ugg I thought fast healing was supposed to stop something like this?" Celina said in pain as she held her tummy.
"Unfortunately it only works on broken bones or scrapes and bruises." Ash said.
As Celina continued to hold her tummy when Yoko came in the room with fruit salad and medicine for her.
"This medicine will help and having something healthy to eat will help as well." Yoko said as she handed the medicine to Celina and took it.
"Thank you." Celina said already feeling better.
"You're welcome, I'll be in the next room if you need anything." Yoko said as she left.
Ash and Celina are now all alone as Celina then decided to ask Ash a question.
"So what is your real name anyway?" Celina asked as Ash handed her the fruit salad.
"It's Satoshi Fudo." Ash answered.
" That's a nice name but I like Ash better." Celina said as Ash then kissed her on the lips.
"I do too, now how about we work on strategies for tomorrow." Ash said.
"Ok but where's Astral? I haven't seen him since we left the stadium." Celina said.
"He's out exploring the city to see if he can find any negative numbers." Ash answered.
They then went to work on their strategies for tomorrow.
(Duel academy)
Flare Aeron and Barrett are currently kneeling in front of Leo Akaba who was not happy with them.
"So not a single one of you was able to complete the tasks that I gave each of you?!" Leo Akaba said in a disappointed tone.
"You should have let me deal with the shining star instead of this meat head!" Aeron said but Barrett fired back.
"You can't even take care of a traitor what makes you think that you got what it takes to take him down." Barrett shouted back as he and Aeron locked eyes with sparks flying.
"Enough!" Leo Akaba shouted as the two stopped he then turned his focus on Flare.
"What's your excuse?!" He asked the masked man.
"I have none but I did get the identities of the two who have what we are looking for but I don't know which one has witch." Flare said as he took out his duel disk as a pitcher of Ash and Yuya.
Leo Akaba eyes widened as he saw that one of Zarc's pieces might have one of the pendulum's he's searching for as well that the shining star of heartland.
"I must speak with Flare alone, leave us." Leo Akaba ordered.
Aeron and Barrett got up to leave but Barrett remembered the message that Ash wanted him to deliver.
"Professor the shining star of heartland has a message for you." Barrett said.
"What is it?" Leo Akaba asked.
Barrett walked up to him and whispered the message then left with Aeron. Leo Akaba then got up and grabbed his chair and tossed it at a pillar thus breaking it.
"Selfish plans that brat doesn't know what he's talking about!" Leo Akaba shouted in anger as Flare just remained silent.
With Aeron he was currency walking through hallways and mumbling to himself just then Yuri showed up.
"And what's got you so upset?" Yuri asked as Aeron turned to face the boy.
"You know why if you hadn't ratted me out I would be the one hunting the shining star!" Aeron shouted but Yuri just gave a smirk.
"You got no one to blame but yourself and besides." Yuri said as he got up to Aeron.
"It takes a traitor to catch a traitor!" The purple-hair boy said as he left Aeron alone with anger on his face.
Yuri then made it to his room and as soon as he opened the door he smelled something good coming from his kitchen. He went in and to see a pot of soup on the stove and went to see what's in it but was stopped by a voice.
"Don't touch that yet!" A female voice said.
Yuri turned around and saw a girl with long honey-blonde hair blue eyes and wearing the same duel academy clothes that Celina wore but with an apron on that said kiss the cook on it.
"Serena, what brings you here?" Yuri said happy to see the girl.
"What can't I cook my boyfriend dinner once in a while?" Serena said as she wrapped her arms around his neck.
"I don't see a problem with that." Yuri said as he wrapped his arms around her waist as he then gave her a quick kiss on the lips.
"Good because I made your favorite pizza soup." Serena said as they let go of each other.
"Can't wait." Yuri said.
After they ate dinner and Yuri helped her clean up, they are now laying down on Yuri's bed in pajamas with Serena's head on Yuri's chest and his hand on her side.
"This is nice." Yuri said enjoying this time with his girlfriend.
"Yes it is also when do you go to standard?" Serena asked.
"In a couple days why?" Yuri said as Serena got a worried look on her face.
"It's just that the shining star of heartland is there right?And the last time you dueled him you almost." Serena said as tears began to form as she remembered the time Yuri was in the hospital after a duel with Ash.
"I'm a lot stronger now than I was last time we dueled." Yuri said, trying to comfort his girlfriend.
"I just don't want to lose you." Serena said through her tears
Yuri then adjusted his and Serena's position so they could face each other he then placed his forehead against hers.
"You're not going to lose me because I will always come back to you." Yuri said, getting Serena to look at him as they kissed and went to sleep.
(LID building)
Shay and Zane entered Declan's offices with Shay being the most annoyed at having to come here this late.
"This better be important." Shay said.
"It must be if he called us this late." Zane said.
" It is." Declan said as he turned in his chair to face them.
"Well what is it?" Shay said wanting this to be over with.
"I spoke with your brother Shay and he has recovered his memories." Declan said, getting Shay and Zane's eyes to widen.
"You better not be lying." Shay said, hoping it was true.
"It is true you can ask him tomorrow." Declan said.
"I see that's why you are having him do this tag duel so you can see how strong he really is." Zane said.
"You are correct because we are going to need all the strength we can get." Declan said.
Meanwhile in the city Astral was still looking for signs of negative numbers as he checked abandoned buildings then alleys and with no luck he decided to call it a night.
"No sign of anything best to call it a night." Astral said as he started to head back to Ash.
As he was heading back until he heard a familiar evil voice.
"Giving up so soon?" The evil voice said.
Astral turned around and saw a person that he thought was destroyed years ago what he saw was a dark version of himself.
"Number 96 but how? Astral said in shock.
"Nice to see again and as for how it's all thanks to my master." 96 said with a smirk but Astral wasn't convince.
"A master? I don't believe that for a second." Astral said knowing 96 is only loyal to himself.
"I don't care if you believe me besides I just came by to say hi." 96 said.
"Who is this master of yours and is he responsible for turning the numbers into negative numbers?" Astral question but 96 just smirk.
"As much as I want to answer but I'm afraid I must be going see you soon." 96 said as a portal appeared then went into then closed.
Astral just stared at where the portal was then made his way back to Ash.
(Card of the day)
A stage with chibi Zuzu and chibi Celina appeared.
"Hey everyone." Chibi Zuzu said.
"And welcome back to another card of the day." Chibi Celina said.
"Now here's today's card!" they said together.
A giant card appeared then revealed to be Number 96: Dark Mist.
"Scary." Chibi Zuzu said a little scared of the card.
"I'm going to have nightmares for a week." Chibi Celina said.
"See you next time." they said as they hugged each other in fear.
That's it for this chapter and sense the next one is going to have a tag duel. It might take a little longer even if I start tomorrow so expect 1 or no chapters next month. I hope you understand. Now review time.
Loveycinccino: yes he's going to have to deal with a lot as for the spirit thing we will have to see.

Pokemon fan: A gx character will come in the battle royal but will be on the enemy side as for original hard to say at the moment.
