Chapter 3

Lucas was finding it difficult to walk, but thanks to Hilda holding him up, he was getting hungry.

GGHHNNNRRR

The rumbling of his stomach was so loud that the two women could hear it, and they turned their faces towards him, who had turned red up to his ear.

"You're hungry, aren't you?" Hilda asked, holding back a laugh.

"Yes, quite a lot," Lucas replied, turning redder.

"Let's get some cucumber sandwiches if you want," Johanna offers.

"There's nothing with meat?" Lucas asks, hopeful and hungry.

"Sorry, my mom and I don't eat meat," Hilda replies, but she's starting to get hungry too.

"I see, that's fine, I'll take it/I'll have some too" Lucas and Hilda say one after the other.

The two of them look at each other and laugh. Johanna smiles at this scene, takes two sandwiches out of the basket and hands them to the two of them to eat.

Nhoc! Nhoc! Nhoc!

Lucas didn't have the slightest bit of decency, he was eating and making a racket, bits of food coming out of his mouth.

Hilda and Johanna looked on with astonishment and a hint of disgust. Lucas realized this and looked at them both.

"I'm sorry, I'm not used to eating around other people. Look, the sandwich is very good," he said with a smile, and went back to eating, only more politely.

"I appreciate it, I'm glad you liked it" Johanna was happy that he liked the snack, but she was worried since she'd heard that he preferred meat.

"My mother makes the best snacks," Hilda said with great enthusiasm and a smile.

Lucas can't help smiling and bursts into laughter.

Ah! Ah! Ah!

"You're very cute, you know, I complimented your mother." He doesn't even notice that Hilda's cheeks are turning red.

"Thanks, that was nice of you, tell me what else you ate all that time?" Hilda was a little embarrassed but also curious about his life.

"I always hunted rabbits and sometimes wild boar, but I like rabbit meat better and it's tastier," Lucas replied with water in his mouth.

"You can tell," Johanna says with a smile.

"But you can eat other things, can't you?" Hilda asks, hoping for a good answer.

"Yes, I can, but meat seems to satisfy me more, maybe because I'm a skinwalker," he says, not entirely sure.

"Wow! Yes, you said that you turn into a mystical creature," Hilda says doubtfully.

"But which creature?" Johanna asks.

"I'm turning into a chimera, when my arm gets better I'll show you," Lucas replies, taking a last bite of his sandwich,

Hilda is excited to see this, also finishing her sandwich she goes back to helping Lucas walk, Johanna has a little worry on her face but also a hint of joy at seeing this scene.

They continue walking for a while until they finally reach the hut. Lucas can't help but smile. Seeing the hut he always saw when he watched the series gave him a very good feeling.

But at the same time he remembered all the trouble he was going to get into by staying with the main character, and he also worried about the other reincarnated people, these thoughts kept popping into his head.

"What do you think of my house?" Hilda asked with a twinkle in her eye.

"I think it's very nice, and very rustic," Lucas said with a happy smile.

Hilda gives him a big smile when she hears this and continues walking to the cabin, Johanna passes the children so that she can open the door straight away, then she arranges the sofa, Hilda gently places Lucas on the sofa.

"Are you comfortable?" Johanna asks, worried if he's comfortable.

"Yes, it's very soft," Lucas replies politely.

"Well, I'm going out to get some supplies. I'll be right back. Hilda will take care of everything." She puts her bag in the kitchen and goes out to get the key.

Soon after Johanna left, there was a silence that lasted two minutes, Hilda didn't know what to say now.

"So who plays a game?" Hilda asked a little uncertainly, scratching her arm.

"Could be, it's not like I could go out like that, right?" he replied, pointing to his arm.

Hilda lets out a hearty laugh at the joke and goes off to get a game for the two of them to play, Lucas is left alone for a few minutes until she returns with a board game called Dragon Panic, Lucas can't help but smile realizing that it's the game from the series.

Hilda explained the whole game, the rules were quite simple, it was fun and we played for a long time, she beat Lucas twice but it was still a fun game.

"I imagine you're getting bored by now, aren't you?" Lucas asked, looking at her.

"Why do you ask?" Hilda wondered.

"As far as I can see, you're a person who loves adventure, who doesn't like to sit still?" Lucas asks, seeing Hilda's cheeks turn slightly red.

"I can't leave you alone here," Hilda replies a little embarrassed.

Lucas smiles, "Thank you, you're very kind," he says sincerely.

Hilda couldn't help but blush a little more at these words, she wasn't used to being complimented by a boy. Soon the two of them began to play again, but suddenly Lucas began to feel something on the ground, it was very subtle, but he could feel a small tremor that seemed to increase little by little, but it was soon drowned out by the sound of the car.

"Looks like your mom's home," Lucas says, looking at the door.

"But there's no sound" Hilda is a little perplexed as she doesn't hear anything.

Hilda looks at Lucas in astonishment, but then gets up and goes to her mother to help her. Lucas smiles at the gesture, and soon the two arrive with two bags of shopping each.

"From the smell of it, you're making a steak for me," he could barely hold in the wonderful smell that was coming from the kitchen.

"Yes you did, damn you have a good nose" Johanna is perplexed.

"Is that because you have heightened senses?" Hilda asks curiously.

He can't help but smile, "Yes, that's right."

"The food is ready," Johanna announces.

Lucas couldn't help but look at the two of them and smile, he felt happy but also worried, knowing that things could change very quickly.

"I still have no idea what the others are like, I hope everything works out peacefully" [Thought] Lucas couldn't help but worry.

While he was eating away from the hut, we could see a creature walking around and hunting its prey. Its appearance looked like a mixture of a carnotaur and a velociraptor, its body was gray with tiger stripes and it wore a kind of carapace on its head that looked like a skull mixed with a triceratops and a rhinoceros.

"I don't even know how long I've been in this world in this form, I've got used to the fact that I'm no longer human" [Thought] The being thought happily of having caught up with its prey,

Inside a totally peaceful human city, in a house, a little girl was doing her homework with a white cat on her lap, receiving affection, then she stopped, got up and put the cat on her shoulder and went to the window.

"Ghost, the day of the great bird is approaching and with it the arrival of Hilda, the plot is about to begin, I hope I'm strong enough," she said to the worried cat.

Inside the mountain, a stone being about 9 meters high with three heads, sits up straight, looking at all the other beings around him.

"It's so peaceful here, I made the right choice to become a troll/Yes/Concern her." The three heads talk to themselves.
