Chapter 5

Lucas, Hilda and Johann ended up falling asleep on the sofa with the TV on, Lucas was on one arm of the sofa and Johanna on the other with Hilda lying with her head on his leg and Twig lying next to Hilda, without anyone noticing the window was opened, some shadows appear around the cabin as soon as the TV goes off air Twig wakes up to the sound of static, soon a voice comes out of the TV.

"Attention residents, due to our useless warnings, we will now forcibly evict you from the premises," the voice from the TV warns.

Soon books begin to be thrown from the shelves onto the floor. When Lucas wakes up, he sees a stone flying out of the window, smashing into Johanna. Using his heightened senses, he holds it back, preventing it from hitting her. Johanna wakes up, startled, realizing the chaos, and a glass falls to the floor, broken, along with the lamp.

"Pick up these giants" The TV starts to be pushed to the floor, but Lucas stops it.

"All right, that's enough, I don't know why you're doing this, but I suggest you leave" Lucas says very seriously.

"We're not going to back down now," the TV's voice says seriously.

Lucas gives a smile, then his face begins to change, looking more animalistic as he gains fangs and fur, then he opens his mouth and lets out an extremely loud roar that shakes the hut.

Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!

When he stopped the roar he looked around and noticed a silence, Hilda looked at him totally amazed at what she saw Johann was a little scared that roar sounded like it was coming from a very dangerous beast, soon noises of running started in the room the door was opened by itself.

"RUN, RUN" voices could be heard coming through the door, but nothing could be seen;

"Well that wasn't very nice" Lucas says at the mess he was seeing.

"That was very nice," Hilda says with admiration.

"Look at our house, if it's still here we can't do it" Johanna says sheepishly.

"Mom, no" Hilda says fearfully.

"I'm sorry, Hilda, but if it goes on, we'll move to Trolberg," Johanna says resolutely.

"Please, Mom, I don't want to live in a dirty old town, I bet you don't even want Lucas to," Hilda says, hoping to convince her mother.

"But it wouldn't be a bad thing, you and Lucas could make new friends, wouldn't you like that?" Johanna says, hoping that the two of them will talk.

"I don't think I'll like living in a city, because I'm a shifter I need to live close to nature" Lucas explains, looking at the two of them.

"Why is that?" Johanna asks intrigued.

"It has something to do with being part animal, sometimes I need to unleash the beast, know how to run and hunt" Lucas explained "I don't really want to go to the city either, I'm sure the others do too" [Thought].

That surprised both Hilda and Johanna, they didn't know this about Lucas, but they could also imagine that since he was part animal, living in the city must be more difficult for him. Soon Hilda went to sleep in her bed, Johanna and Lucas tidied up and went to sleep on the sofa again while Johanna went to her room, Lucas ended up sleeping so soundly that he didn't notice Hilda passing by on her way out of the house and then coming back, but before she went upstairs she ended up running her hand through his hair before going up to sleep.

As the sun rises, Lucas wakes up to the smell of breakfast, with Hilda holding a tear with toast and eggs, she smiles at this and starts to eat, then the two of them leave after Hilda explains everything to him.

"So you've got an elf in your ear that you can only see if you sign the paperwork and we're passing several miniature elf houses?" Lucas asks, already knowing the answer.

"Yes, basically after we get you to sign the paperwork," Hilda replies, still treading carefully.

One part of Lucas didn't want to have to sign this, even though he knew Alfur was a nice guy, he knew that once he'd signed it, he'd have to be more careful where he stepped since he'd started interacting with everything the elves created.

Arriving at a rock that looked as if it had been cut to make it look smooth, Lucas stared at Hilda talking to an invisible voice he couldn't see but could hear with his senses.

"Man, that mayor is boring, elves know how to talk" [Thought] Lucas stared at the landscape, enjoying the fresh air.

Soon he realizes that Hilda has already finished, and the two of them head off to where Hilda says the Prime Minister is, on the way he can't help but admire all the scenery, and Hilda notices.

"Did something happen, Lucas?" Hilda asks curiously.

"I'm just enjoying the scenery, we just happened to move to the city," Lucas replies.

"We're not moving, are you coming with us?" Hilda asks again, this time with a little hope.

"Well, only if you want me along" Lucas replies "I don't want to be alone either" [Thought].

"Of course we want you along, but won't you feel bad away from the forest?" Hilda asked again, still worried.

"I might, but I don't want to be away from you, I can also run outside the city," Lucas replied, looking at her.

Hilda felt her heart beating faster and her face getting hotter, she didn't know what this new feeling was, but she was enjoying it very much. Soon the moment was interrupted by a rabbit that seemed to have gone in her direction, she ended up falling into the grass and Lucas went over to help her.

"Oh, you tripped over a bunny," Hilda says to the rabbit.

"It's not just a rabbit, it's the Prime Minister's mount," Alfo says in Hilda's ear, but Lucas can hear her.

When he looked ahead, he could see about fifty rabbits in front of him. Lucas's mouth filled with water, Hilda looked at him and laughed, knowing what he was thinking.

"Well, my arm's feeling a lot better and after this snack it'll heal faster," Lucas said, taking the bandage off his arm.

Hilda watched as he took a few steps forward and saw his body being transformed, his arm lengthening and gaining claws on his hand and foot.

Roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar!

Letting out the same roar she'd let out in her house, only with more of a will to see it.

"Hilda's going to talk to the prime minister, I'm going to do some hunting." When he finished saying that, his eyes went green and fangs came out of his mouth.

As soon as this phrase comes out of his mouth, all the rabbits start to run away. Lucas then begins the hunt, going after three rabbits that were running away together. After a long chase, he manages to shoot all three of them down and starts eating.

"Nhoc!, I've been longing for this, the taste of fresh meat and its blood is incredible Nhoc!, the adrenaline of a hunt is too much" [Thought] Lucas was savoring every morsel he ate from the rabbit.

As he was munching on the rabbit, he suddenly felt a tremor on the ground, but it was different, it seemed smaller, then he smelt something he had never smelt before, his senses were warning him that it was dangerous, but he ended up going a little further into the forest, then hiding in a long bush, When he saw what the smell was, he couldn't help but get nervous. In front of him was a mixture of a carnotaur and a velociraptor, its body was gray and had a tiger stripe and it wore a kind of carapace on its head that looked like a skull mixed with a triceratops and a rhinoceros.

"My senses are warning me to get out of here" [Thought] Lucas watched it, hiding completely so as not to be seen and completely against the wind.

Lucas saw how the creature was trying to sniff the air to perhaps smell something so that it could hunt. Knowing this, he decided to get out of the room as quickly as possible, but as he was heading back, he stepped on a branch.

Crack!

When that noise rang out through the previously silent forest, a moment of silence set in when the creature's head moved towards him and he could see its glowing red eyes, then he began to run with all his might as the creature rushed towards them, not going back to Hilda, he would never take this creature to her.

"How interesting, that smell seems to be a mixture of human and animal, it could be another reincarnate like me." [Thought] The creature couldn't help but smile at that. "It's been a while since I've had fun on a hunt"

Lucas was running with all the strength his four limbs could muster, and the creature was also very fast.

Just as the creature was beginning to catch up with him, he turned to confront it. As he did so, the creature was surprised, but also excited, opening its mouth full of teeth. Soon, something he couldn't have imagined happened: a scorpion's tail came out of Lucas's back, leaving him even more surprised.

When he realizes that he's already injected as much as he can into him, he moves away before he can react. The being stumbles and falls, but he's not paralyzed yet.

"I won't let you run, you worm" [Thought] The creature grits its teeth angrily, but begins to realize that its limbs are starting to go soft.

After 10 minutes of running, the creature falls to the ground and can no longer move. Lucas doesn't even look back and continues running so as not to leave his scent on Lucas for too long.

"I'll get even with you, you can be sure of that" [Thought] The creature was thinking furiously and you could see smoke and fire coming from its mouth.
