{"A Good Man Stands Next To A Great Women."}

I did an earlier update because of the snow this week just in case. Hope you guys enjoy.

———————————

I laughed as Theta slipped slightly against the tile saving himself by grabbing the bar above my head. "Oi! Stop it!" I laughed harder as he grumbled before pulling me closer by my waist as water rained down on us. We stood together in silence just holding one another in the shower, after a nice few rounds of sex he wanted to shower with me. I definitely didn't oppose to it; his arms wrapped around me waist as he placed his head on my neck.

"I love you." He moaned out, placing a kiss along my neckline. "I love you too, Theta. So much." He had definitely needed a few days away from Rose to calm down, she had come the next day and he damn near went after her in anger. So I've been making sure to keep him calm, although I've haven't been much help because I keep getting sick.

——

A pair of pink high heels and layers of tulle step out of the Tardis. Rose is in full 50's mod chick gear, "I thought we'd be going for the Vegas era, you know the white flares and the, grr, chest hair." Theta has his hair in a Teddy boy quiff while I stepped out in a beautiful white 50s outfit with polka dots on the skirts. My white shoes were flats and I had my hair down, Theta definitely had a field day with it.

"You are kidding, aren't you? You want to see Elvis, you go for the late fifties. The time before burgers. When they called him the Pelvis and he still had a waist. What's more, you see him in style." Theta rides a scooter out of the Tardis. He's wearing a white crash helmet and shades. He's a Mod, all right, "You going my way, doll?" He asked me with a smirk raising an eyebrow. "Is there any other way to go, daddy-o?" I flirted as I leaned down close to him causing Rose to glare and scoff.

She walks over to the ride and puts on a pink crash helmet, about to get on when Theta cleared his throat causing her to pause. "Yours is in the TARDIS." She gapped at him before shooting me a nasty glare and storming off. Theta rolled his eyes before holding out his hand and helping me on as Rose rides out on a bicycle! I snort into my hand as we take off down the street.

"Where we off to?" I asked as I leaned on his neck causing him to shiver, "Ed Sullivan TV Studios. Elvis did Hound Dog on one of the shows. There were loads of complaints. Bit of luck, we'll just catch it."

"And that'll be TV studios in, what, New York?"

"That's the one." A red London bus drives past the end of the street. Theta pulls up by a red post box and now we see lots of Union Flag bunting strung between the houses. Rose taking a few minutes to catch up, "Ha! Digging that New York vibe." I laughed looking around since. "Well, this could still be New York. I mean, this looks very New York to me. Sort of Londony New York, mind."

"What are all the flags for?"

————

Another television set is delivered from the back of Magpie's van, "There you go, sir, all wired up for the great occasion." We stop on the side looking at the man selling the TVs, "The great occasion? What do you mean?" Theta asked with a click of his head. "Where've you been living, out in the Colonies? Coronation, of course."

"What Coronation's that then?" Rose asked with a frown causing Theta to look at her, "What do you mean? The Coronation." The man scoffed staring at her like she was stupid. "It's the Queen's. Queen Elizabeth." I explained causing Theta's eyes to widen. "Oh! Is this 1953?"

"Last time I looked. Time for a lovely bit of pomp and circumstance, what we do best."

"Look at all the TV aerials. Looks like everyone's got one. That's weird. My nan said tellies were so rare they all had to pile into one house."

"Not around here, love. Magpie's Marvellous Tellies, only five quid a pop."

"Oh, but this is a brilliant year. Classic! Technicolour, Everest climbed, everything off the ration. The nation throwing off the shadows of war and looking forward to a happier, brighter future." Theta continued on until shouting turned our attention. "Someone help me, please! Ted!" Two burly men in black suits bundle a person into the back of a car, with a blanket over his head. "Leave him alone! He's my husband! Please."

"What's going on?" Tommy runs out of the house, "Oi, what are you doing?" He yelled, "Police business. Now, get out of the way, sir." The office spoke continuing on. "Who did they take? Do you know him?"

"Must be Mister Gallagher." The car drives away, "It's happening all over the place. They're turning into monsters." Tommy explained with worry in his voice. "Tommy! Not one word! Get inside now!" Tommy flinched slightly and gave a small smile, "Sorry. I'd better do as he says" Theta and I get back on the moped, while Rose rushed to her ride. "All aboard, my love!"

——

"Lost them. How'd they get away from us?" I laughed lightly from behind him as we stopped in front of a wall, "Surprised they didn't turn back and arrest you for reckless driving. Have you actually passed your test?" I teased giving him a smile, he chuckled turning slightly to kiss my lips just as Rose arrived. "Men in black? Vanishing police cars? This is Churchill's England, not Stalin's Russia." Theta pointed out, "Monsters, that boy said. Maybe we should go and ask the neighbours."

"That's something you would do. The domestic approach."

"Thank you. Hold on, was that an insult?" Theta zooms off again, both of us laughing as Rose shouts behind us in anger.

We knock on a families door, a man answered it quickly afterwards. "Hi!" We all cheered fake happily, "Who are you, then?" The man snarled angrily as he looked each one of us up and down with a sneer. "Let's see, then. Judging by the look of you, family man, nice house, decent wage, fought in the war, therefore I represent Queen and country." Theta holds up the psychic paper.

"Just doing a little check of Her forthcoming Majesty's subjects before the great day. Don't mind if I come in? Nah, I didn't think you did. Thank you."

"Not bad. Very nice. Very well kept. I'd like to congratulate you, Mrs?" I smiled as we made our way inside before looking towards the woman who stood of the side. "Connolly." She nodded, "Now then, Rita. I can handle this. This gentleman's a proper representative. Don't mind the wife, she rattles on a bit." I scoffed in disbelief as Theta smiled, wrapping a hand around my waist.

"Well, maybe she should rattle on a bit more. I know I love it when my wife does. I'm not convinced you're doing your patriotic duty. Nice flags. Why are they not flying?" Theta glared at the man who we figured out quickly wasn't exactly so nice to his wife. "There we are Rita, I told you, Get them up. Queen and country."

"I'm sorry." She smiled gently at us as Eddie turned to her with a stern look, "Get it done. Do it now." He insisted pushing the flags into her hands. "Hold on a minute." I snapped in anger, "Like the gentleman says." He turned to us as I snatched the flags out of her hands. "Hold on a minute. You've got hands, Mister Connolly. Two big hands. So why is that your wife's job?"

"Well, it's housework, innit?" I raised an eyebrow at the sexist comment, this man was just continuously pissing me the hell off. "And that's a woman's job?" I asked in anger glaring at him, "Of course it is. You should know." Before I could slap the shit out of him, Theta grabbed the flags from me and pulled me behind him. "Mister Connolly, what gender is the Queen?"

"She's a female."

"And are you suggesting the Queen does the housework?"

"No. Not at all."

"Then get busy." Theta glared an slammed the flags into his chest. "Right. Yes, sir. You'll be proud of us, sir. We'll have Union Jacks left, right and centre."

"Excuse me, Mister Connolly. Hang on a minute. Union Jacks?" Rose asked as she stood up staring at him. "Yes, that's right, isn't it?" Eddie frowned in confusion. "That's the Union Flag. It's the Union Jack only when it's flown at sea." Rose stated with her hands on her hips, "Oh. Oh, I'm sorry, I do apologize." Eddie stuttered in embarrassment.

"Well, don't get it wrong again, there's a good man. Now get to it!" Rose turns to Theta hoping to get a proud look but he only stiffly smiled trying to be nice for the other people in the room, "Right then! Nice and comfy, at Her Majesty's leisure. Union Flag?" Theta settles on the sofa, as Rose tries to push her way over only for Theta to grab me an make sure I'm sitting next to him.

"Mum went out with a sailor."

"Oh ho ho ho. I bet she did. Anyway, I'm the Doctor, my wife Kate and this is Rose, and you are?"

"Tommy."

"Well, sit yourself down, Tommy. Have a look at this. I love telly, don't you?" I asked the boy who looked in wonder at me. "Yeah, I think it's brilliant." Tommy smiled brightly at me, "Good man!" The man on the TV is showing the viewers the vertebra of an ichthyosaurus. "Keep working, Mister C! Now, why don't you tell me what's wrong?" Theta turns serious looking towards Rita. "Did you say you were a doctor?" She asked quietly making sure to glance at her husband who shot her a glare. "Yes, I am."

"Can you help her? Oh please, can you help her, Doctor?"

"Now then, Rita. I don't think the gentleman needs to know-"

"No, the gentleman does."

"Tell us what's wrong, and we can help." Rita bursts into tears and I move to comfort her, "I'm sorry. It's all right. Come here. It's okay." I hold her tightly giving Theta a look over her shoulder. "Hold on a minute. Queen and country's one thing, but this is my house! What the?" He throws the bunting down, "What the hell am I doing? Now you listen here, Doctor. You may have fancy qualifications, but what goes on under my roof is my business."

"A lot of people are being bundled into-" Theta was interrupted by Eddie who yelled angrily, "I am talking!" Theta snaps, standing up and getting in Eddie's face. "And I'm not listening! Now you, Mister Connolly, you are staring into a deep, dark pit of trouble if you don't let me help. So I'm ordering you, sir! Tell me what's going on!" Thump. Thump. Thump. "She won't stop. She never stops."

"We started hearing stories, all round the place. People who've changed. Families keeping it secret because they were scared. Then the police started finding out. We don't know how, no one does. They just turn up, come to the door and take them, any time of the day or night."

"Show me." In the hallways it's dark, "Gran? It's Tommy. It's all right, Gran. I've brought help." He turns the light on. The old woman is standing there with no eyes, nose or mouth. A black car pulls up outside, my eyes widened. "Her face is completely gone."

He uses the sonic screwdriver, "Scarcely an electrical impulse left. Almost complete neural shutdown. She's ticking over. It's like her brain has been wiped clean."

"What're we going to do, Doctor? We can't even feed her." Someone breaks down the front door. "We've got company"

"It's them. They've come for her!"

"Quickly. What was she doing before this happened? Where was she? Tell me. Quickly, think!" I insisted as I grabbed his shoulders bending down slightly to make eye contact. "I can't think! She doesn't leave the house! She was just-" The burly men in black burst in. "Hold on a minute. There are three important, brilliant, and complicated reasons why you should listen to me. One-" Theta gets punched in the face, "Doctor!" The men throw a blanket over Gran and bundle her out while Rose and I tried to wake Theta up.

"Leave her alone! No!"

"Doctor!"

"Don't hurt her!" Rita shouted with a cry in panic, "Back inside, Rita." Edie insisted, "She's my mother." Rita tried again but was pulled away by Eddie. "Back inside now, I said." Gran is bundled into the car.

Theta suddenly sits up, almost giving me a Glasgow kiss, "Ah, hell of a right hook. Have to watch out for that." He laughed getting up and rushing out the room as Rose and I get up together.

"Don't fight it. Back inside."

"Kate, come on!" Theta yells rushing down the stairs as I roll my eyes an get up after Rose pushes me out of the way slamming me into the wall. "Get back inside!" Rose stops at the living room door and sees red energy coming from the television set, she stopped so fast I ran into her back with a grunt. Looking over to where she was looking, I frowned at it, "But Dad, they took her!" Tommy shouts snapping Roses attention away from the tv.

"Don't fight it, son. Don't fight it."

"Kate, we're going to lose them again!" Rose rushed out the door after him as the energy disappears, "Dad, they took her! That was Gran and they took her!" Tommy yelled out angrily, "Come on, back inside, now."

Theta rides off with Rose behind him on her bike as I turn the set around to see the last of the energy disappearing into the aerial connection. I look closely before finding the suppliers label and smirk to myself. "Anyway, how did they find her? Who told them?" Tommy and Eddie spot me as I get up, "You! Get the hell out of my house!" Eddie yells in my face causing me to smirk as I wipe the spit off my face.

He turned red, "I'm going. I'm done. Nice to meet you, Tommy, Mrs Connolly. And as for you, Mister Connolly, only an idiot hangs the Union Flag upside down. Shame on you!" I smiled before ducking out with a laugh.

———

This time the Doctor is quick enough to see the tail end of Operation Market Stall. "Oh, very good. Very good." He goes exploring, and uses the screwdriver to open a small door in the big gates.

"Are we really breaking in?"

In the yard, he sees the two burly men padlock a wire door and walk off. The Doctor goes over and unlocks it with Rose following close behind. He goes into an area with large cages and opens one. It is full of blank people, who occasionally clench their fists. They turn towards the light of his torch, then someone switches on a pair of searchlights. "Stay where you are." Rose tries to cower behind The Doctor causing him to grunt.

———

The weird test signal is on the sets as I enters the store, "Oh, I'm sorry, Miss. I'm afraid you're too late. I was just about to lock the door." Magpie spoke from a dark corner. "Yeah? Well, I want to buy a telly." I tried with a small smile,

"Come back tomorrow, please." He insisted causing me to glare. "You'll be closed, won't you?" I asked with a cock of my head as I looked around the dark store.

"What?"

"For the big day? The coronation."

"Yes, yes, of course. The big day. I'm sure you'll find somewhere to watch it. Please go."

"Seems to me half of London's got a television, since you're practically giving them away." I scoffed under my breath causing him to shrug, "I have my reasons." He insisted.

"And what are they?" A woman's face appears on just one screen, "Hungry! Hungry!" It starts to chant, "It's just a television. One of these modern programmes. Now, I really do think you should leave. Right now!" I raise an eyebrow as he shouted at me.

"Not until you've answered my questions. How come's your televisions are so cheap?" I asked placing my hands on my hips. "It's my patriotic duty. Seems only right that as many folk as possible get to watch the coronation. We may be losing the Empire but we can still be proud. Twenty million people they reckon'll be watching. Imagine that. And twenty million people can't be wrong, eh, so why don't you get yourself back home and get up, bright and early, for the big day."

"Nah, I'm not leaving till I've seen everything."

"I need to close." He started towards the door but I stepped in front, "Mister Magpie, something's happening out there. Ordinary people are being struck down and changed, and the only new thing in the house is a television. Your television. What's going on?" I demanded harshly getting in his face as he flinched away. "I knew this would happen. I knew I'd be found out."

He locks the shop door, causing me to raise an eyebrow. "All right, then, it's just you and me. You going to come clean, then? What's really in it for you?" I asked with a cock of my head at the man. "For me? Perhaps some peace." He states with a whimper causing me to roll my eyes.

"From what?" I asked as he pointed, "From her." It was a face on the tv, smiling evilly causing me to move closer trying to get a better look. "What a pretty little girl." She spoke sending shivers down my spin as I backed away a little. "What are you?" I asked with a frown, "I'm the Wire, and I'm hungry!"

Energy lances out and grabs my face causing me to wince. It was extremely painful, "Magpie, help me!" I shouted once in hopes he would but he didn't. "Just think of that audience tomorrow, my dear, all settling down to watch the coronation. Twenty million people. Things will never be the same again. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Magpie cries out as I grunt one last time before everything goes black.

"Goodnight, children, everywhere."

—————

Panting I stood over her with a smile, "You did good, Apex." I spoke causing her to smile back up at me as I put my sword away and pulled her up. There was a round of clapping behind us causing us to turn with a smile at Zero who was watching with an impressed smirk.

"Good Job, ladies. I think y'all are ready for the battle field." My smile faded a little as I thought of Theta. I really wished he was here, I needed him but I know he had things to do dealing with his companions and the troubles Earth seemed to get into. I just hoped he would have made it today so I could show him what I've learned. "Hey." I jumped slightly at the hand on my shoulder.

Looking over it was just Apex smiling at me, "I think there's someone here to see you." She mused lightly, her eyes holding amusement as I turned to see Theta standing there with a smile of his own. My eyes widened as I rushed forwards while Zero moved closer to Apex with a roll of his eyes. "Did you see that? It was like she was thinking about him and then bam! He's there." Zero scoffed with an eye roll causing Apex to jab him in the side with a laugh of her own.

"Well you know what the say, A good man stands next to a great woman." Zero turned to her with a bemused look and raised an eyebrow, "uh, I think it's the other way around." Apex just smirked and started to walk away, "Is it tho?" She asked causing him to chase after her with an argument of his own.

In the derelict building, with broken windows, Rose and The Doctor were being held. "Start from the beginning. Tell me everything you know." Bishop spoke, glaring at The Doctor. "Well, for starters, I know you can't wrap your hand around your elbow and make your fingers meet." The Doctor spoke sarcastically causing Rose to smirk smugly at the man.

"Don't get clever with me. You were there today at Florizel Street, and now breaking into this establishment. Now you're connected with this. Make no mistake." Bishop growls out, "Well, the thing is, Detective Inspector Bishop." The Doctor started but was soon interrupted. "How do you know my name?" He asked confused and Rose too wanted to know how he knew the man's name. "It's written inside your collar. Bless your mum. But I can't help thinking, Detective Inspector, you're not exactly doing much detective inspecting, are you?"

"I'm doing everything in my power."

"All you're doing is grabbing those faceless people and hiding them as fast as you can. Don't tell me orders from above, hmm? Coronation Day. The eyes of the world are on London Town so any sort of problem just gets swept out of sight."

"The nation has an imagine to maintain."

"But doesn't it drive you mad, doing nothing? Don't you want to get out there and investigate?" The Doctor questioned as he placed his glasses on before picking up a stack of papers. "Of course I do. But, with all the crowds expected, we haven't got the man power. Even if we did, this is beyond anything we've ever seen. I just don't know anymore. Twenty years on the force, I don't even know where to start. We haven't the faintest clue what's going on."

"Well, that could change."

"How?"

"Start from the beginning. Tell me everything you know." Another person is delivered to the holding area, "We started finding them about a month ago. Persons left sans visage. Heads just blank." Bishop explained, "Is there any sort of pattern?" Rose asked with a frown, "Yes, spreading out from North London. All over the city. Men, women, kids, grannies. The only real lead is there's been quite a large number in"

"Florizel Street."

"Found another one, sir."

"Oh, er, good man, Crabtree. Here we are, Doctor. Take a good look. See what you can deduce." The white shoes and polka dot skirt told The Doctor who it was even before Crabtree takes the blanket off, "Kate." His heart stopped as his eyes widened looking at her beautiful blank face in horror. "You know her?" Bishop asked as Rose stood behind them with a subtle smirk coming on her face.

"Know her? She's the woman I love. The woman I plan on marrying one day, the wom-" He was interrupted by one of the officers. "They found her in the street, apparently, over by (something) Square, abandoned." He explained causing Bishop to sigh, "That's unusual. That's the first one out in the open. Heaven help us if something happens in public tomorrow for the big day. We'll have Torchwood on our backs then, make no mistake."

"They did what?"

"I'm sorry?"

"They left her where?"

"Just in the street."

"In the street. They left her in the street. They took her face and just chucked her out and left her in the street. And as a result, that makes things simple. Very, very simple. Do you know why?"

"No." Rose frowned about to move forward to grab his hand but he growls loudly and throws the papers in his hand across the room. "Because now, Detective Inspector Bishop, there is no power on this Earth that can stop me from saving the woman I love and tearing this place apart! Come on!" Rose flinched as he slammed his hand down on the table. His voice echoing loudly throughout the room, this was the first time she was actually scared of him.

Why was he acting this way about her? He didn't love her so why?

———

The Doctor rushes back to the house they were at before with Rose trying to keep up. "Tommy, talk to me. I need to know exactly what happened inside your house." The Doctor grabbed him by his shoulders, "What the blazes do you think you're doing?" Eddie shouted with a glare at the three who had come running up.

"I want to help, dad." Tommy insisted with determination, "Mister Connolly" The Doctor started only to get interrupted, "Shut your face, you, whoever you are. We can handle this ourselves. Listen, you little twerp. You're hardly out of the blooming' cradle, so I don't expect you to understand. But I've got a position to maintain. People round here respect me. It matters what people think."

"Is that why you did it, dad?" Tommy asked as he turned to his father. "What do you mean? Did what?" Eddie tried to play it off but it didn't work. "You ratted on Gran. How else would the police know where to look, unless some coward told them." His son glared at him as The Doctor looked on in shock. Rose looked disgusted, "How dare you! Do you think I fought a war just so a mouthy little scum like you could call me a coward?"

"You don't get it, do you? You fought against fascism, remember? People telling you how to live, who you could be friends with, who you could fall in love with, who could live and who had to die. Don't you get it? You were fighting so that little twerps like me could do what we want, say what we want. Now you've become just like them. You've been informing on everyone, haven't you? Even Gran. All to protect your precious reputation."

"Eddie is that true?"

"I did it for us, Rita. She was filthy. A filthy, disgusting thing!"

"She's my mother. All the others you informed on, all the people in our street, our friends."

"I had to. I, I did the right thing." He tried to explained but she glared at him in disgust, "The right thing for us or for you, Eddie? You go, Tommy. Go with the Doctor and do some good. Get away from this house, it's poison. We had a ruddy monster under this roof, all right, but it weren't my mother!" Rita slams the door shut on Eddie. "Rita!" Eddie bangs on the door as The Doctor turns to Tommy with a begging look, "Tommy?"

———

Trestle tables are being laid for the street party, "Tommy, tell me about that night. The night she changed." The Doctor asked urgently, he needed to know. "She was just watching the telly." The Doctor frowned as Rose looked up at him. "Kate said it. She guessed it straight away. Of course she did. All these aerials in one little street. How come?"

"Bloke up the road, Mister Magpie, he's selling them cheap."

"Is he, now?"

"Come on! Stay here, Rose!" Rose gapped in shock but stayed out with a glare. Why was he benching her? Suddenly she smiled, he was doing it to protect her! Oh, she knew he cared.

———

The Doctor breaks in, "Here, you can't do that!" Bishop snaps from behind him, "Shop! If you're here, come out and talk to me! Magpie!" The Doctor shouts, he was on a rampage now. "Maybe he's out."

"Looks like it." The Doctor searches the drawers of the counter and finds the portable television. "Oh, hello. This isn't right. This is very much not right. Tastes like iron. Bakelite. Put together with human hands, yes, but the design itself. Oh, beautiful work. That is so simple."

"That's incredible. It's like a television, but portable. A portable television." The Doctor raises his sonic screwdriver, "It's not the only power source in this room."

The television screens each light up with a different face mouthing help me. "Gran?" Kate is mouthing Doctor, he gave a determined stare towards her. "I'm on my way, beautiful." Magpie comes in from the back, "What do you think you're doing?" He asked with a glare, "I want my love restored, and I think that's beyond a little backstreet electrician, so tell me, who's really in charge here?" He demands in anger, "Yoo hoo! I think that must be me. Ooh, this one's smart as paint." The woman on the screen smirked at them. "Is she talking to us?"

"I'm sorry, gentlemen, I'm afraid you've brought this on yourselves. May I introduce you to my new friend."

"Jolly nice to meet you."

"Oh my God, it's her, that woman off the telly."

"No, it's just using her image."

"What? What are you?" Tommy gapped in shock as he stared at her. "I'm the Wire, and I will gobble you up, pretty boy. Every last morsel. And when I have feasted, I shall regain the corporeal body, which my fellow kind denied me." The black and white image transforms, "Good Lord. Colour television!" Bishop gasped in shock, "So your own people tried to stop you?" The Doctor scoffed and glared at her. Completely disgusted with this thing!

"They executed me. But I escaped in this form and fled across the stars." She explained, "And now you're trapped in the television." The Doctor stared her down, "Not for much longer." She smirked. "Doctor, is this what got my Gran?"

"Yes, Tommy. It feeds off the electrical activity of the brain, but it gorges itself like a great overfed pig, taking people's faces, their essences. It stuffs itself."

"And you let her do it, Magpie."

"I had to. She allowed me my face. She's promised to release me at the time of manifestation."

"What does that mean?" Tommy asked her with a frown, "The appointed time. My crowning glory."

"Doctor, the coronation!" Bishop gasped in realization, "For the first time in history, millions gathered around a television set. But you're not strong enough yet, are you? You can't do it all from here. That's why you need this. You need something more powerful! This will turn a big transmitter into a big receiver."

"What a clever thing you are! But why fret about it? Why not just relax? Kick off your shoes and enjoy the Coronation. Believe me, you'll be glued to the screen." Energy lances out at them, "Doctor!" Bishop yelled, "Hungry! Hungry! The Wire is hungry! Ah, this one is tasty. Oh, I'll have lashings of him! Delicious!"

The Doctor starts to finger the sonic screwdriver. "Ah! Armed. He's armed and clever. Withdraw! Withdraw!" The three men collapse. "The box, Magpie! The box!" Bishop's face is blank. Magpie grabs the portable, "Hold tight." The Wire zaps herself into the portable television. "Conduct me to my victory, Magpie. Hungry! Hungry! Feed me!"

———

The Doctor wakes, and sees the blank policeman. "Tommy, wake up. Tommy, come on!" The Doctor shouts towards Tommy, "What happened?" Tommy asked The Doctor but he was to anger to really answer, "Where's Magpie?"

Outside of the shop, "We don't even know where to start looking. It's too late."

"It's never too late, as a wise person once said. Kylie, I think. The Wire's got big plans. It'll need. Yes, yes, yes, it's got to harvest half the population. Millions and millions of people and where are we?"

"Muswell Hill."

"Muswell Hill. Muswell Hill! Which means Alexandra Palace, biggest TV transmitter in North London. Oh, that's why it chose this place. Tommy?" The Doctor turned to Tommy with a raised eyebrow. "What are you going to do?" Tommy asked as he followed along, "We're going shopping." Tommy finds a big valve, "Is this what you want?"

"Perfect! Right, I need one more thing." He gives Tommy the collection of parts and runs outside, "Got it. Let's go."

———

As Princess Elizabeth arrives at the Abbey, Magpie makes his way up the transmitter mast. The Doctor is building a contraption while he and Tommy run through the streets. "I cant do this! Please, please don't make me!" Magpie yells at the Tv who just smiles, "The time is at hand. Feed me! Feed me!"

"There!"

"Come on!"

"Wait, wait, wait! Where do you think?" The Doctor shows him the psychic paper. "Oh! I'm very sorry, sir. Shouldn't you be at the Coronation?"

"They're saving me a seat."

"Who did he think you were?"

"King of Belgium, apparently." The Princess enters the Abbey.

———

"Keep this switched on. Don't let anyone stop you, Tommy. Everything depends on it. You understand?" The Doctor takes a coil of copper wire before he runs to the transmitter as the Princess processes down the aisle. "You'll get yourself killed up there! Your Majesty!"

———

Magpie reaches the top of the mast and attaches the portable television, "Feed me!" He plugs her in and red energy fills the little screen then streams out from the top of the mast to all the nearby aerials. It starts to suck off the happy faces of the viewers in the Connelly household. "Oh. Feast. Feasting The Wire is feasting." The Doctor reaches the top of the transmitter mast, "It's too late! It's too late for all of us!"

"I shall consume you, Doctor. Just like I consumed your lover!"

"I won't let you do this, Magpie!"

"Help me, Doctor. It burns. It took my face, my soul."

"You cannot stop the Wire. Soon I shall become manifest."

"No more of this. You promised me peace!" Magpie cried out begging, "And peace you shall have." Magpie is zapped into atoms, "Been burning the candle at both ends? You've overextended yourself, Missus. You shouldn't have had a crack at poor old Magpie there."

The Doctor manages to get hold of the portable television without being electrocuted. "Rubber soles, swear by them!" He plugs in his cable, and valves blow down in the control room. "Oh dear. Has our little plan gone horribly wrong, Doctor?" Tommy gets a replacement valve from the store. "Or coat of Chivalry of Cloth of Gold, lined with crimson satin." Tommy plugs the contraption back in, "Are you willing to do the same?"

The red energy retreats back to the mast, and into the portable television. "No!" The people still have their faces, "It's close down, I'm afraid, and no epilogue." The Wire screams, then the screen goes blank. In the holding area, everyone has been restored to normal.

The National Anthem is playing, "What have I missed?"

"Doctor! What happened?"

"Sorted. Electrical creature, TV technology, clever alien life form. That's me by the way. I turned the receiver back into a transmitter and I trapped the Wire in here." His contraption turns out to be a VCR, "I just invented the home video thirty years early. Betamax. Oh, look. God save the Queen, eh?" Queen Elizabeth the Second waves at the crowd from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

"Oh, it's my grandson, Oh, son!"Gran and Tommy embrace, I look around finally spotting Theta who spotted me as well. He let out a cry of happiness before taking off towards me causing me to laugh. His body collided with mine as he hugged me tightly. He picked me up and spun me around causing me to laugh before leaning down to kiss him.

"I love you." We both spoke together.

The street party is in full swing, "We could go down the Mall, join in with the crowds." Rose teased causing Theta to roll his eyes at her. "Nah, that's just pomp and circumstance. This is history right here." He spoke blandly causing me to frown. It was getting worse, after what happened a couple of days ago he has made sure to give her the cold shoulder and if he wasn't doing that he was giving her hell.

"The domestic approach." She looked up at him with a teasing look but was ignored, "Will it, that thing, is it trapped for good on video?" She asked again clearing her throat and changing the subject. "Hope so. Just to be on the safe side though, I'll use my unrivalled knowledge of transtemporal extirpation methods to neutralise the residual electronic pattern."

"You what?"

"I'm going to tape over it."

"Just leave it to me. I'm always doing that."

"Tell you what, Tommy, you can have the scooter. Little present. Best, er, keep it in the garage for a few years though, eh?" Eddie leaves the house in his overcoat, "Good riddance." Rita and her mother hug as Eddie walks off. "Is that it, then, Tommy? New monarch, new age, new world. No room for a man like Eddie Connelly."

"That's right. He deserves it."

"Tommy, go after him."

"What for?"

"He's your dad."

"He's an idiot." Tommy scoffed with a roll of his eyes, "Of course he is. Like I said, he's your dad. But you're clever. Clever enough to save the world, so don't stop there. Go on." Tommy runs over to his father and carries his suitcase for him. Theta hands me a glass of orange juice, clinking glasses together with a smile. We both drank our drinks as Rose made her way over, "So what's next?" She asked causing Thera to frown at her before grabbing my hand and walking towards the Tardis in silence.

Yep, he was still mad.

Rose watched them walk away with a heated glare as she squeezed the glass of juice so hard it shattered in her hand. Why was he ignoring her? She didn't do anything! Rose was about to explode, this was bullshit. He needed to give her attention too! She was here first! And she was sure as hell gonna be here last if it was the last thing she did.

So I'm kinda upset about a comment I got a reply on another fanfic I was reading on here. I love Wattpad more than anything and this is the place I can go to express myself but I have tried my hardest to be nice. I'll refrain myself from telling y'all what happened, but I just don't really feel so happy about my books anymore.

It just seems like every time I try to be myself, someone has to hate on me.

I'll try to figure my shit out so I can keep updating for y'all but I'm just kinda done with everyone.
