Castelia City, Unova

Dave wakes up, only to see Nurse Roy and Blissey staring at his face. Dave didn't remember watching what happened, but he was still curious about where he was. "Did you sleep well?" He says in a creepy tone. Blissey waves at Davey and hands him a water bottle. Davey takes the water and starts drinking it. Blissley then hands Davey a napkin.

Davey screeches. He looks around to see where he was, only to see that he was inside the school's Nurse's Office. The Nurse's Office was uncanny. It was dressed up like a school's bedroom, mixed with a generic hospital room. Davey hides behind his blanket and shakes. "Where am I?"

A certain someone knocks on the door. "You're in the Nurse's Office dummy." They say, revealing themselves to be Ashley as she walks into the room, holding tightly onto her Piplup.

"The Nurse's Office?" He asks. He had more questions, some more serious than others. But once he sees his partner Pokemon Eevee wasn't there, he panics. "Where is Eevee, Ashley?!" He starts trembling, with the sweat from his face dripping like a heavy rain. "Eevee, where is Eevee?!" He grabs Ashley by the shirt and starts shaking her.

Ashley stops him and leers, which slowly brings him back to reality. "Eevee is fine, she's right here." Ashley nods.

Eevee runs into the room and jumps into Davey's arms. The two embrace as Ashley smiles at them. Davey starts to cry. "I missed you so much!"

"You literally just woke up five seconds ago!" Ashley shouts.

He curls up into a ball while holding Eevee. He thinks about the other students. Then his father, which he knew would be disappointed if he heard about him passing out. "So what's everybody saying?" He asks.

"Everyone is concerned about you, but I'll let them know you're alright."

"That's good to know." Ready to move on and not dwell on this further, Davey gets up. "I should get going, I don't want to miss any homework or important lesson plans." He starts grabbing his things.

Nurse Roy puts his hands on Davey's shoulders. He was concerned for him. "Davey, you should go home and get some rest. I talked to your father about it, and he said it was okay." Nurse Roy didn't want Davey to overwork himself.

Davey felt a cold breeze go by as he shuddered hearing his father's name. "Like he cares about what happens to me."

"Davey, Nurse-' Ashley looks at Nurse Roy. She couldn't tell what was going on, as he looked familiar. "Wait, haven't I met you before?"

"Huh?"

Ashley remembers when she met him before, after thinking for a bit. "We met back in the Founja Jungle."

"Oh!" The nurse giggles. "That wasn't me, that was my cousin."

"Huh?" Ashley confusingly asks. She didn't want to think about it anymore, as the whole ordeal was too confusing for her to understand. She brings attention back to Davey. "Anywho, yeah. The nurse is right, you should take it easy for today."

Davey thinks about it for a second. He didn't want to miss school, but a day to relax would be good for him. "Fine." He caves in to the nurses and Ashley's demands. "I guess I could catch up on a few shows I've been missing." He lies. Truth is, he wanted to crawl up into a ball, eat ice cream and cry all day. But he doesn't want to show any more signs of weakness.

The bell rings. It was time for the upperclassmen to switch classes. Ashley looks at the clock. It was time for her to go. Zack walks into the room with Electavire standing next to him. "Hey." Zack says. Zack wraps his arms around his girlfriend and kisses her on the cheek. She blushes.

"Hey." Ashley greets. She turns and their mouths and tongues start to touch. After a while, they back away as Ashley stares into her boyfriend's eyes. "I missed you so much." She kisses him on the cheek, he blushes.

"I missed you too." Zack replies. He kisses her on the head and hugs him. Despite the two of them only dating for one year, the two had an intense connection that matched a married couple. The two truly cared for each other, and they hardly ever fought.

"Gross…" Davey comments. He wanted to throw up. While the two of them were his friends, he hated how much they embraced in front of it. It could get annoying. He only tolerated it because they were his friends.

Zack flips him off. "You're just mad because you don't have a man." Unlike Davey, Zack didn't mind telling someone how it was. He truly had no filter, which could sometimes get him in trouble.

Davey cries. "He's right, I'm single!" He knew that deep down Zack was right.

Zack laughs. "We should get going now babe, or else Miss Filo will chew me out. I don't wanna go to Home Economics." He complains. Zack looks at the clock and sees that time was running out and he needed to get to his next class fast.

"How come? What's wrong with Home Economics? It teaches important and essential skills that all Pokemon Trainers need." Davey says. But it didn't surprise him, because Zack had a one track mind, only focusing on the Pokemon battle part of being a Pokemon Trainer.

Zack scowls. "Whatever, I don't need it. I'd drop the class if it wasn't a requirement to graduate." Like most schools, the Pokemon Academy had certain classes that each student needed to take to graduate. Home Economics was one of those classes.

"Right." Ashley nods. "I should get going, I'm going to have Zack walk me to class. Text me later, okay? Love you!" Ashley didn't need Zack to walk her to class. She just wanted to spend some time with her boyfriend.

He was a little disappointed, but he understood. "Love you too." Davey responds. He waves goodbye to Ashley and Zack as they walk off.

Chapter 6

"Homemade Economics"

A heavy set woman with her rose colored hair tied up in a bun begins to write today's lesson on the smartboard. The classroom was very contemporary, with whites and blacks everywhere, matching the tone of the rest of the classrooms in the school. The class was full of familiar faces, such as Yuki, Celine, Ross, Cole and Harold. It had students from every grade, except for the Normal Class. Home Economics was a required class for students at the Academy. Her students sat there listening to everything she said, except for a drowsy Zack who was leaning back in his chair.

"Attention Pokemon Academy students Principal Jones here. As you know, Homecoming is in two weeks. Here at the Pokemon Academy, Homecoming is a week-long celebration full of games, sports, competitions, tailgates, food and visits from multiple Pokemon Academy Alums. The last day of the event will be the Homecoming Game, along with the Homecoming Dance, where the Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned. So if there's someone you have a crush on, you better ask them out. Show your school spirit all week long, Go! Go! Dragonite's!" Damon says over the intercom for the whole school to hear.

The teacher finishes writing the lesson on the board and puts the marker down, now that the announcements were over. "Today in class, we will learn how to make the delicious Lava Cookies!" She explains. She reaches over towards her tablet and pulls up various pictures that appear on the smartboard. One was a lava cookie, and the others were pictures of Lavaridge Town, the Hoenn Region and Mt. Chimney. "With Homecoming coming up, I thought we'd make something fun today to get everyone hyped up."

The teacher's name was Miss Filo. Her partner Pokemon, Greedent, stands by her side while she does a fancy spin around the room. Miss Filo's Greedent was wearing a necklace with a Dragon Fang attached. She was happy today, which wasn't that different from every other day, but this time her happiness was contagious. She winks at her students. "Lava Cookies are delicacies of the Hoenn Region's Lavaridge Town and cure a Pokémon from status conditions and confusion." She informs them.

A tanned skin boy wearing a white jack rips a piece of paper from his open notebook, crumbles it up and throws it at the sleeping Zack. It landed in his mouth, but he was so deep in sleep that he didn't even notice it. Talon laughs before he gets a death stare from Miss Filo.

Miss Filo frowns at the boy. "What did you just do?"

Talon looks sheepishly at the teacher. "Sorry." He apologizes as he stands up and wipes the spit out of his mouth.

"How rude," Miss Filo scolds. She grabs the piece of paper out of Zack's mouth and tosses it into the nearby trash can.

Zack sits in his seat and rubs his eyes. He wakes up and looks confused. He glances around nervously, wondering if anyone else caught him snoozing. There was no one looking at him now, so he leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes again. Zack snores loudly, which draws the attention of the rest of the class. Miss Filo gets angry, and she grabs a ruler. She slams the ruler on the desk, waking Zack up.

"That's enough!" She yells. All the students are shocked; they look at each other in disbelief. "You're all failing my course, except for Rose!" She continues. "And I don't want to see any more of your laziness." She turns away from the class.

"How are we failing her class? We've only been in school for like four days." Talon whispers to Cole.

Miss Filo felt a strange feeling in her gut, telling her that someone was insulting her. She turns around and stares down Talon. Her gut told her it was him who she should be looking at. "What was that Mr. Waterstar?" She shrieks.

"Nothing, nothing!" He grabs his notebook and hides behind it.

"Good." She says. She turns and gets back to talking about Lava Cookies.

Talon lets out a sigh of relief. He turns to Zack, who he was sitting next to. "Miss Filo is something else, huh?"

Zack shrugs. "I don't care."

"Huh?" Talon asks "What do you mean?"

"Come on Talon, how does anything we learn in Home Economics apply to being a Pokemon Trainer?" He says as he looks at Miss Filo. He puts his feet up on the desk again. "I'm trying to become the world's best Pokemon trainer, not some baker or fashion designer." His insolent tone of voice showed he didn't care or respect the life lessons taught in Home Economics at all. He takes out his phone and begins playing with it.

"As for today's class, each of you will make your own Lava Cookies with your own special ingredients. You will be graded on taste, presentation, flavor, and if it works on Pokemon with a status condition. Just note that key flavors of Lava Cookies are just how spicy they are." She takes out a sample Lava Cookie from her bag as a demonstration. "It's time to begin making your Lava Cookies. You will have thirty minutes to bake your cookies, then we will all taste them together."

She goes into the pantry to grab a few things for the students. She comes out and pulls out a cart full of different variants of Alcremie, the Cream Pokemon, berries, flour, filling, food dye, frosting, fruits, sugar and much more. "Here is everything you're going to need." She walks around the room and hands out the various items to each of the students. "And if you need anything more, you can always go to the pantry, right over there."

Miss Filo watches as a Rainbow Swirl Alcremie pours some batter into her favorite bowl. "Let the baking begin!" Miss Filo says, as she stirs the batter with her spoon. Her Greedent tries to lick the Alcreamie, but Alcreamie shoots cream in Greedent's eyes. With its eyes now burning, Greedent runs into a wall and falls. Greedent gets back up and rubs its eyes.

The class laughs at Greedent. "Guess Greedent finally found something it couldn't eat." Talon says.

"Guess we should try and tell Cole the same!" Zack whispers to himself.

Cole hears Zack's whispers, but instead of getting pissed off, Cole was stuffing himself with his Mint Cream Alcremie delicious mint flavor cream. The more cream Cole gets filled with, the bigger he gets. It was getting to the point where he looked like a big fluffy marshmallow pillow. Zack turns around and sees the enlarged Cole. "Bro, what are you doing!?" Cole grabs Cole's Alcreamie so she can stop.

"Oops!" Cole blushes. "Sorry, I love cream!"

Zack stood there uncomfortable, not knowing how to react. "I'm just going to ignore this…" He turns to Alcreamie. "I'm sorry you have to go through this…" He apologizes on Cole's behalf. Alcreamie didn't mind and just laughed it off.

A pale girl with long blonde hair and side-swept bangs walks up to Cole and starts poking his belly. "Aww, he looks like a giant marshmallow." She says as her companion Sylveon jumps on Cole's belly like a trampoline. Her name was Charlotte.

"What in the heck is going on?" Yuki asks.

"Aww, come on! Don't judge! It's so much fun!" Charlotte claps.

"I know what kind of recipe I'm going to make!" A girl says in a cocky manner. She pulls out a wisp. She had long boots that matched the color of her school uniform. She had long blonde hair and turquoise colored eyes that were just as blue as the ocean. Her name was Rose.

Rose had the skill to bake. She was making a Lava Cookie with Dark Berry Flour, Lava Cookie Frosting, Bitter Orange Juice, and a few other ingredients. "Now Alcreamie!" She orders. Her Alcreamie pours some of its cream into the batter. The mixture was thick and sticky, but she managed to blend it together. She placed the batter on the table and placed the cookie cutter on top of it. She uses her Ninjask to cut the dough.

"I'm going to make the best Lava Cookie recipe that's both spicy but fruitful." She brags. Some other students in the class gathered around Rose to see what she was making. They were attracted to the aroma of what she

"Woah, that looks amazing." A boy asks. The boy was slightly below average height. He had black hair gelled hair and sharp silver eyes. Standing right next to him was a Sneasel, who was his trusty partner Pokemon.

A girl looks at Rose with admiration. "Doesn't Rose's cookies smell amazing?" Corvisquire?" She asks her partner Pokemon, Corvisuire. Her name was Lux. Lux was a somewhat short teen with thick Ash blonde hair that almost looked white. She kept her hair at shoulder length, which looked well with her school uniform. Corvisquire agrees with its trainer on the smell of Rose's batter, and they both were starstruck.

Rose smiles as she soaks up the attention she was getting. The timer rings, which means the cookies were done. She takes her cookies out of the oven, and sprinkles powdered sugar on it. She carefully placed the cookies on a plate and raised her hand up high. "I'm all done, Miss Filo!" She says. The rest of the class were shocked with how quickly she finished the assignment.

Miss Filo smiled and nodded. "Very nice Rose! You are the talent trainer." She thanked her student.

Rose blushes and tilts her head to the side. "Thank you!" She bows.

She walks around the classroom, as everyone finishes up their cookies. Each person added their own flavor and taste to it using various ingredients. Once all the cookies are finished baking, she gives them a few minutes to let them cool off. Once they were done cooling off, it was time to try them out. Everyone was ready to have their cookies taste tested, as they all stood proper and firm. The only person who wasn't ready was Zack, who didn't make any cookies at all.

Miss Filo looks around the room. She smelt various smells, from sweet to sour. It fills her with so much joy to see the students passionate, even if some of them might not taste right or baked well. "Okay, let's try these cookies out. Who wants to volunteer first?" Miss Filo asks. Over to the side here was a poisoned Pidove, a paralyzed Palpatoad and a burned Cottonee.

Rex raises his hand. "Me, me, me!" He says. Miss Filo comes up to him. He takes two pieces of the cookie and places them onto a plate. He waits patiently while Miss Filo tastes the cookie.

"This tastes pretty good!" She says, but she couldn't taste anything. It was bland, which turned her off. Which disappointed her, because she thought Rex could do better. "What is this supposed to taste like exactly?" She asks.

He smirks. Something was up his sleeve. "Just you wait…"

She chews on the cookie, some more, and swallows. Several seconds later, she felt a cough. "What's going on?" She asks. A hot scratch tickles her throat, and her mouth becomes on fire. "It's really spicy."

"Told you." Rex nods.

She grabs her glass of milk, and the spiciness simmers down. She whips her mouth. "Although you did make the cookie spicy, Rex. I have to deduct points for it tasting bland." She explains.

Rex sighs. "Dang it!" He scratches the back of his head, feeling both embarrassed and disappointed.

An inspired Cole takes a bite of his cookie. But he didn't like the taste, as it was hard to chew. "Mines taste kind of Gummy..." Cole tries his hardest to eat his cookie, but he was having a difficult time. He turns to Kirlia and presents a cookie in front of her face. "Do you want to try one Kirlia?" He asks. His Kirlia was too busy distracted with her Rotom Phone, not paying attention. She gets a sniff of Cole's cookie and passes out. "Kirlia, are you okay?" He asks.

Cole looks at Kirlia, worried. "Kirlia! Are you okay?!" He panics.

"Kirlia!" She snaps out of her trance and looks at her phone. She shrugs, and Cole sighs in relief. "Well, at least I know baking isn't my strong suit. Guess I should stick to eating them." He says. Cole stuffs a couple more cookies into his mouth.

"Damn Cole..." Talon teases. "You're going to kill everyone." Talon takes a bite of his own cookie. It was hard for him to swallow because of the spices.

Rose giggles. She took a bite out of her cookie and felt her mouth start burning. She quickly spat it out. "My God, what is this stuff?" She complains. She wipes her mouth and puts her hand over her mouth. "Why does this hurt so much?!" She asks.

"Yeah! There's no way they could be that hot!" Miss Filo remarks.

"It's probably the spices." Harold replies. "Don't forget we were told to make Lava Cookies, they're known for being spicy."

Miss Filo passed by Lux, whose cookies were all burnt to a crisp. "Miss Lenore, what did you-"

"Don't talk to me, I'm a failure!" Lux cries into a napkin.

"She's quite dramatic…" Harold chuckles.

"Sylveon, I think we could've done better." Charlotte says as she looks at her cookies. Sylveon lightly giggles.

Miss Filo continues to look at each student's plate. She keeps walking until she approaches Zack, who had nothing prepared. Zack was too busy playing on his Rotom Phone, chewing gums and blowing bubbles. Not doing anything he was supposed to do. This made Miss Filo both sad and angry, but needed an explanation.

"Zack."

The teacher catches Zack's attention, and he looks at her. "Huh?"

"Where are your cookies?"

"Oh! I didn't make any."

"And why's that?"

"Because I don't see any use in baking Lava Cookies. For a Pokemon Trainer like me, there's no use in someone like me knowing how to bake. That's for a Coordinator." He says so arrogantly. He goes back to doing what he did earlier, which really pisses off Miss Filo. She snatches the phone out of his hand. "Hey, what was that for?!" He asks. He almost wanted to cry, like a child who had his favorite toy taken away.

Miss Filo wants to go off even more on Zack, but she doesn't. She wants to give him one more chance to give her a better explanation for why he shouldn't do this assignment. "I'll give you one more shot, Zack, why don't you think you need basic home skills as a Pokemon Trainer?"

Zack gets up. "I don't need to know how to cook or sew. As someone who loves Pokemon battles, what use would that be to me?" Zack had so much passion and drive as he stood there. Zack sees that Miss Filo's blood was boring, and her body had turned red. "No offense to you, Miss Filo." He apologizes.

"Wow, Zack sure is bold." Sloan says.

"I can't believe he just said that." Celine comments. "He sure has more balls than Yuki."

"What is that supposed to mean?" Yuki asks.

Everyone was shocked to hear that. Especially Miss Filo. Wow, I can't believe he said that. She smirks. I guess I'll have to prove him wrong. "Let's have a battle then." Miss Filo takes out a Love Ball and points it at Zack.

Zack's interests shoot up, and he grabs a PokeBall. "Alright, I'm always down for a battle."

The class went outside to one of the schools battle courts. The battle court they chose was a sandy one. Zack and Miss Filo stood on opposing sides. It was a typical middle of the road day in the big city. Several students and some faculty members were scattered across the area. Cars and people slowly move, along with flocks of Pidove, Tranquil and Unfezant flying above the city. Three Patrats gathered fruits and berries as two Fall Fourmed Deerling chewed on the grass. A Sewaddle sleeps in the tree, while four Venipede crawl on the road, with the leader Whirlipede rolling alongside them.

"I'll be the referee." Harold says. He stands on the edge of the battlefield.

This should be easy. Most of the teachers here are washed up anyway. "Salamence, I choose you!" Zack grabs his Pokeball and throws the mighty Salamence out onto the field. It had a frightening, yet regal presence. It roars loudly.

"This is going to be so exciting, I wonder who is going to win!" Sloan says.

"Easy." Rex confidently says. "I'm sure it's going to be Zack."

Rose stood there with arms folded and eyes closed. She opens up one eye and looks at Rex. She smirks. "I wouldn't be so sure of that." Rose says. "Don't judge a book by its cover. Miss Filo is the perfect example of that."

The rest of Miss Filo's class for that period watches the battle. "Who's that Pokemon?" Rex asks. He grabs his Rotom Phone and uses it to pull up the Pokedex App to get more information about the Pokemon standing in front of him.

"Salamence, the Dragon Pokemon. A Dragon and Flying-type. By evolving into Salamence, this Pokémon finally realizes its long-held dream of growing wings. To express its joy, it flies and wheels all over the sky while spouting flames from its mouth." The Pokedex says.

Miss Filo smiles. This is perfect. Miss Filo grabs her Love Ball and kisses the top of it. She winks. "Schnitzel sweetie, come out and play!" She tosses the ball high into the air, and Greedent comes out.

Everyone except Rose, Zack and Celine laughs at Miss Filo's Greedent. "What is that thing going to do?" Yuki asks.

"I'll give it to Miss Filo, I thought she'd at least send out something stronger…" Talon says.

Rose looks at everyone and smirks. They're all going to learn a lesson today.

Utah watches from behind a nearby tree, using a pair of binoculars. He fixates on Salamence, wanting to nab it for himself so he could show off to his brother and mom. "Just think I'm miles away from a super strong Dragon Pokemon of my own." He was in awe. He wants to show off some more, so he calls his mom. "Hey mom, guess what-"

"Utah, why are you calling me?" Miss Vanjie asks. She sounds annoyed by her son, you could hear it by the one of her own voice. She wasn't trying to hide it at all. Her anger intensifies. "You're supposed to catch me some rare and powerful Pokemon!"

"Hey, is that Utah on the phone?" Utah's older brother Doug asks as he overhears his mouth's phone conversation and shouts so his voice would be loud enough for Utah to hear over the phone. "Tell him I just got back from catching a powerful Pokemon."

Utah gets upset. "Oh yeah Doug, well I'm in front of a powerful Pokemon right now!" He was so distracted by his phone that he failed to recognize an Emolga that flies on his head. Emolga laughs and then shocks him. The shock was so powerful that it sent Utah flying in the sky. "Looks like I'm blasting off again!" He disappears into the distance.

Charlotte felt like she heard someone screaming and looks around. "What was that?" After not seeing and hearing anything, she turns her attention back to the battle.

Zack smiles. "So you're sending a Greedent out against my Salamence?"

"Yeah, so what?" Miss Filo replies. "It doesn't matter if a Pokemon is evolved or not, a Pokemon is a Pokemon." She says. And I'm going to show you all by teaching you a lesson on not judging a book by its cover. Miss Filo balls up her fist. She was ready to go. "Zack, you make the first move."

Zack thrusts his right arm in front of him. Looks like the right move would be to start with Dragon Dance. It will throw her off guard, so she would think I'm not trying to go in, thinking I will win right away. "Got it. Salamence, use Dragon Dance." He was getting serious. Salamence flies into the air and dances from side-to-side, increasing its speed and attack. Salamence lands back onto the ground and roars again.

"Looks like Zack is playing smart. Raising Salamence's attack and speed with Dragon Dance is a good way to start." Talon says.

Miss Filo smirks. Huh? So he didn't start by all-out attacking. That's surprising. But maybe he's trying to throw me off guard. So maybe I should go with something predictable. The teacher looks up. "Schnitzel, use Ice Fang." Greedent's fangs glow light blue, and it releases two light blue beams of energy from its fangs towards Salamence and hits it in the chest.

Greedent barely does any damage to Salamence, who just shakes it off and roars. So predictable. But what else should I expect from someone who isn't a battler and bakes instead? Zack laughs. "Using an Ice-type attack on my Dragon-type Pokemon is smart, but also pretty basic." Miss Filo doesn't let it get to her.

Zack looks up again. "Thunder Fang."

Streams of bright blue aura start to form around Salamence's body and cover most of it. Salamence flies up and slams into Greedent. Munclax falls on the ground. The attack did a lot of damage, as small bruises started to appear on Greedent's body. Zack smiles. "There we go." Zack says. One more hit, and we should be done.

"You should give up, the battle will be over soon."

Miss Filo wasn't finished yet. Greedent struggled to get up, but its trainer wasn't worried. Greedent finally stands up and flexes. Though the damage was still a lot, which could affect the outcome of the battle.

"Wow, that Greedent is something!" Celine grins.

Zack was surprised. Dang, Greedent has guts. But it won't be standing tall for long. Zack reaches into his pocket and takes out a black bracelet. In the middle of the black bracelet was a mysterious stone called the Mega Stone. Zack slides the Mega Stone across his right arm and raises it up into the air. "I have no reason to do this right now, but I like showing off." Zack presses the stone, and a light emerges from it. "Let our hearts connect, it's time to Mega Evolve!" He raises his arm even higher.

The students were surprised to see what Zack was doing. They all knew what Zack was doing, but were still in disbelief. "Is that-" Harold says.

"Mega Evolution." Rose finishes Harold's sentence.

A purple light releases from out of the Mega Ring and cloaks Salamence into a sphere along with a purple light. Inside Salamence starts to transform, and once it's done, the sphere cracks, with Salamence transforming into its Mega form. Salamence flies into the air and roars loudly.

Filo smirks yet again. "So you're using Mega Evolution eh?" Filo observes. Zack didn't say anything and just nodded along.

Filo reaches into her apron and takes out a mysterious crystal orb. Sparkles surround the orb as the light around the area starts to dim. Filo throws it at Greedent as crystals take over Greedent's body. The crystal on its body breaks as Greedent has become crystallized, with a dragon like symbol on top of it. Greedent had Terastallized Pokémon into a Dragon-type Pokemon, thanks to the Tera Orb.

"What in the hell is that?" Yuki asks. It was something he had never seen before. He wasn't the only one, as the rest of the class hadn't heard of it either besides Rose and Filo. It even threw Zack off, who was shocked to see it.

"I never see anything like it…" Rex says.

"It's so pretty." Lux comments.

Cole's Kirlia was in awe of it and snapped a picture of Schnitzel. While Cole was being stuffed with cream by various Alcreamie. "Am I missing something?" Cole asks, but it was hard to hear him, as his mouth was full of cream.

"It's so pretty." Celine says.

"I can explain." Filo says.

"No." Rose steps up. "Allow me to explain." She clears her throat. "What you're witnessing right now is the Terastal phenomenon. It's a mysterious phenomenon only found in the Paldea Region. It allows a Pokemon to become any type it wants, depending on its Tera-type." Rose explains to her students.

"So Greedent became a Dragon-type? Oh no!" Zack starts to sweat, afraid he may lose the battle. But he wasn't ready to lose. "I'm not about to lose this battle. I don't know what kind of battle tactic you use!" Zack was pumped up and even more ready to go all out. "Salamence, Dragon Rush!" Streams of bright blue form around Salamence's body again. Salamence soars into the sky and rushes towards Greedent.

"I've been waiting for this. Greedent use Tera Blast!" Filo orders. Greedent spits out a light purple beam of energy at Salamence. Salamence is hit by the beam and comes crashing down onto the ground. "And with that I win."

Zack cries out for Salamence as it struggles to get up. Harold inspects Salamence's body to see if it still had enough energy to battle. Once he finishes, he determines its status. "Salamence is unable to battle. Schnitzel wins. The victor is Miss Filo!" Salamence reverts back to its normal form, and the crystals on Schnitzel's body break.

"Well, that sure was a surprise." Talon comments in complete shock, along with everyone else. It was a big jaw dropping moment for everyone involved. Yuki had to wipe his eyes to see if he was dreaming.

Celine looks at Schnitzel and notices Schnitzel was wearing a Dragon Fang. She starts to put things together. "Oh it makes sense now. Schnitzel is wearing a Dragon Fang."

Lux also puts the puzzle pieces together. "That explains why the Tera Blast attack did some damage. The Tera Blast attack was boosted by both Schnitzel's new Dragon-typing and the Dragon Fang." Lux explains.

"I knew she'd win." Rose brags. "Miss Filo is a tough and talented trainer, all the teachers at the Academy are. Age or grades don't matter when it comes to skill. It's all about the bond between trainer and Pokemon." Rose explains. She turns over to her Blaziken as it watches the other students' partner Pokemon play.

Zack was stunned. "What? How did that happen?" He sighs. He walks up to Salamence and pets his head. "You did a great job Salamence, even if we did lose." Salamence licks Zack. He uses its PokeBall to return it inside.

"Like I said, Zack. Don't judge a book, it's cover." She bends and gives Schnitzel a high-five. "You deserve this Pokebean for all your hard work." She gives Schnitzel a bag of blue plain beans, and it starts to chew on them one by one.

She looks at Zack, who was staring at Salamence's Poke Ball. The loss disappointed Zack. Miss Filo felt sorry for him, but she felt like he needed to lose to humble him. She walks over towards him. "That was a great battle!" She congratulates him.

"Yeah, it was some battle." Zack didn't want to look her in the eye and was struggling to do so. He looks somewhere else. Zack wasn't the one to admit defeat, so he was trying his best to not say anything.

An awkward silence filled the air, so Miss Filo tried to break it by starting a conversation. "Look Zack, I get why you don't need Home Economics. But that's far from the truth. What will you do if you need more Potions after your Pokemon are injured and the Pokemon Center is closed? Things like that can happen, and it's always best that a Pokemon trainer is always prepared for the worst situation."

The school bell rings, which means the class period was over. "That's it for today's class, I'll see all of you tomorrow. Hopefully with a changed perspective." She says to Zack. The students gather there and start walking to the school. Zack stands there reflecting on everything, before finally deciding to walk with his classmates. Despite everything, Zack still hadn't learned anything.

Davey went home instead of hanging out with Ashley at Rare Candies. Davey went to his room and collapsed onto his bed. He sobs and uses his Pikachu themed pillow as a blanket, with many emotions running through his mind. I should just give up being a Pokemon Trainer. He didn't want to give up being a Pokemon Trainer, but felt like it was a last resort with everything going on with him. Eevee hates seeing its trainer like this and tries to cheer him up by licking him. "Thank you, Eevee." He says, feeling a tiny sense of joy.

"I just don't know what to do next." He gets up and wipes away a few of his tears.

Davey's phone rings. He sees he was getting a call from Ross, and he answers it. "Hello."

Ross was trying his best to pay attention to his conversation with Davey, but Ross and Natalie were busy pulling on Dachsbun's ears. "Hey Davey, I wondered if you could watch Natalie and Ash for me after school? They had to close the Preparation Camp today because of a Chickenpox outbreak, and Delia is working, so I'm stuck with Ash."

"Ross! Ash is trying to take Dachsbun away from me!" Natalie says.

"No I'm not. I was playing with Dachsbun first." Ash replies.

"Who cares? Dachsbun is my brother's Pokemon, so I get first dibs!" Natalie snatches Dachsbun away from Ross. "Aww Dachsbun, you're so cute!"

Ash's eyes water up and he starts crying. "I want my mom!"

"Please Davey, I could use your help!"

Davey wanted to help Ross, but he was too depressed. "I'm sorry Ross, but I can't."

"It's okay. I'll just have my Audino watch them." Ross says. "Thanks anyway." Ross hangs up the phone.

Davey puts his phone down and looks up at the ceiling. "My life feels like it's over, Eevee." Davey Tussles Eevee's hair, but Eevee is annoyed by Davey's behavior. She understood he was going through a lot, but she wanted him to at least try and get back to how he normally is: Happy and annoying.

Later that day, Zack was in his Unovan History Class, ignoring his teacher. He was sitting at his desk, looking out the window and chewing on his pencil. He watched as the golden brown leaves fell on the ground. A clowder of Purrloin waits patiently as the leader throws berries on the ground for everyone in the family to eat. Watching them made him think back to what Miss Filo said, but he ignores it. A couple of girls in his class look at Zack and begin laughing at him. They were sitting close to Zack. But Zack ignores them.

The teacher points to a picture of a king. The rest of the class looked at their teacher. Some were bored with the man's lesson, while others were distracted by doing other things, such as whispering and playing on their Rotom Phones. The teacher of the class was a handsome young adult. He wore glasses and was rocking a coal black Jerry curl. He was very fit, and the teachers found him handsome. The man was passionate about history, which the students could tell based on how he spoke about Unova's history. The teacher was named Mr. Clark.

"Unova was created by the people of a mysterious land ruled by the two kinds. However, strife arrived as the two brothers began arguing about their beliefs. One brother sought for truth and the other brother sought for ideals." The man explains pacing back and forth.

The two girls laugh even harder, and one of them points at Zack, which he could feel. "I heard he lost to a silly little Greedent." The girl says.

"I know, I know, how embarrassing. Imagine your big strong dragon losing to something like that." Her friend says.

How could I let a puny little Greedent beat me? Zack gets angry, and clenches onto his pencil. The pencil ends up breaking due to the pressure Zack put on it.

"What are you thinking about Zack?" A girl asks, practically coming out of nowhere and scarring Zack shitless. The girl was a walking enigma. Her skin was ice pail and had white shoulder length hair and lilac colored eyes. She had this aura about her that was creepy, yet mysterious and fun. She giggles as she pokes Zack on the nose. Spirit was a Great Class student, but since she was smart enough and loved history, she could attend Ultra Class History classes.

"What the hell Spirit! What are you doing?"

"Nothing, I'm just bored." She says. She sticks out her tongue and then disappears.

"Spirit, Zack quiet!" He shouts.

"Yes Mr. Clark." The two students say.

Mr. Clark returns to his lesson. "The argument split the dragons into the two Pokemon we know today as Reshiram and Zekrom, with the husk of the shell becoming one of the coldest Pokemon known to man, Kyurem." Zack looks up as the teacher writes the words Truth and Ideals. "What does truth and ideals mean to you? What is the truth and what is an ideal?"

Truth and ideals huh? That caught Zack's attention. He thinks even harder about his own truth and ideals. Especially after everything that happened to him today. Maybe my truth is, I should try and learn from Home Ec. But my ideals are telling me that I don't need them.

Once class was over with, Zack felt he needed some reassurance. So he went to the Guidance Counselor's Office. Once he arrives, he knocks on the door. "May I come in?" He asks.

"Come in." A man says.

Zack walks in. He was taken aback by how different the vibe of the room was compared to the rest of the school. It was "hippie themed" with plants and flora scattered around. Incense burns, giving off a sweet scent as the Counselor's Slakoth hangs from the branch of the tree sleeping. "Hey man, how is your spirit?! Welcome to your own safe space." He welcomes him.

"Well, thank you for letting me in… I guess." Zack says.

He wants Zack to feel comfortable. He could see that Zack was feeling a little easy and had something on his mind. "Come on, sit down." Zack sits in the chair in front of his desk. "My name is Dylan Beaz, but you can just call me Dr. B." The man was Caucasian with a bit of a tan. He wore long blonde dreads and was very hairy. His body was covered with various tattoos.

"NIce to meet you Dr. B, I'm Zack."

"So what brings you by, Zack? You know, you can talk about whatever is on your mind, man?"

Zack lets out a sigh of relief. "Well, you see I've been struggling with this class. I want to drop Home Economics."

"So I see you want to drop out of home economics, interesting. Why is that man?"

"I believe Home Economics doesn't fit in with what I want to do in the future. I know it's 'essential' to graduate, but I just don't see how it's going to help me personally." Zack explains.

The teacher closes his eyes and hums. "Ah, I see! You're letting your negative emotions guide you to drop out of something important to the essential skills of a Pokemon trainer."

"Negative emotions? What the fuck does that even mean?" Zack was getting pissed. He gets out of his seat. "I just don't see how Home Economics will help me become a Pokemon Trainer."

The teacher likes Zack talking about things on his mind. But he didn't want him to let his emotions overcloud something so important, like dropping out of class, that he might regret dropping out of. "Zack... That is the man talking, man. You don't want them to get to you." Dr. B says. "You're letting ideals override the truth."

"Whatever." Zack storms out of the office. He felt like he was on his own as the bell rings.

Zack gets up and passes by Kimberly, who was on her way to see Dr. B. "Hi Zack!" Kimberly greets him, but he doesn't say anything to her. He leaves the room and runs ff.

It was now time for Zack's lunch period. He was at the cafeteria, sitting alone. Which stood as the cafeteria was full of students, teachers and Pokemon, talking and eating. While the cafeteria had a menu that the students chose to eat from, some students brought their own food, while a small percentage didn't eat anything at all. Zack just chose to drink some chocolate milk, which was his favorite drink of all time.

Ashley walks into the cafeteria. It was her lunch period too. She sees Zack sitting by himself, and she waves at him. Ashley held her Piplup in her arms. Zack waves back. Before she walks over to him, she meets her ex-best friend Harper. Her Abra was following along with her as it floated in the air. "Hi Harper, how are you doing?"

"Eh." Harper didn't say much and just walked past her. That was the most Harper had said to Ashley in years, but it was still disappointing. Harper stands in line right behind Yuki.

"Okay, but I guess..." Ashley shrugs and leaves Harper alone. Besides, Ashley had more important things on her mind as she looked at Zack.

"Well hello stranger." Ashley puts Piplup on the ground. She walks up to her boyfriend, and she sits in his lap. "How's your day going?" She kisses him on the cheek, but his demeanor was different, which worries her. He ignored her, as he was stuck in thought. "You okay, babe?" She asks. Piplup climbs onto the table as Ashley feeds Piplup some bread.

Zack sighs. "No."

"What's wrong?"

"Everyone! Ugh, it's like I'm being forced to do something I don't wanna do."

Ashley's concern increases based on what he just said. "Is something trying to harass you? Because I'll hurt them."

"No Ashley." He tries to calm her down. He looks her in the eye and kisses her nose. "No one is harassing me. It's just that… ugh, it's complicated. I want to drop out of home economics, but I can't. It's a class that I need to take if I want to graduate."

"I mean, you can drop out if you want too and take it later…" Ashley says. "But… I did hear about you losing to your Ec teacher, and I'm sorry to hear that. Though think about it. If your Home Ec teacher could beat you, then that should show you that someone can be talented in both skills. If your ideals can't lead you to your truth, then is it even an ideal worth searching for?" Ashley says. She kisses her boyfriend on the cheek

Zack hadn't thought about that at all, and it made him realize that Ashley was indeed speaking some truth. It all clicked. "Damn Ashley, you might actually be right." He says. "I didn't even think of it like that."

"A person can be multi-talented, Zack. No one has one goal, a person can have multiple goals. Things aren't so black and white, and that's what makes us human."

Ashley kisses Zack on the cheek again as he thinks about everything she said. He realized he made some mistakes today and needed to correct them. "I have some mistakes I need to correct today. I'm glad you set me straight Ashley."

"Of course. Now if only you can tell Davey what I just told you." Ashley replies. The two start to laugh at Davey's expense.

Spyro sees Ashley embrace Zack, and he laughs. He was sitting at a table with a few of his football friends close to Zack and Ashley. "Watch this." He says.

Spyro grabs a bottle of milk and throws it at Ashley. Luckily, Ashley had quick reflexes and a great sense of hearing, and she grabbed it before it hit her. "You thought I could get one over me, huh?" Ashley throws it back at Spyro, and milk spills on his shirt.

Spyro's friends laugh at him, and he gets angry and screams. "Ashley!" He shouts.

Professor Cotton and Professor Moss look at Spyro and grab him. "Spyro, how many times have we told you not to throw milk at other students?" Professor Moss asks.

"I don't know." Spyro says.

"Go to the Principal's office, now!" Professor Cotton shouts.

"Yes Professors…" Spyro sighs and he walks off.

Sarah walks by holding her lunch tray and laughs "So immature." She insults Spyro. Her Furfrou was walking alongside her, as well as her Pikachu, who was nesting on her right shoulder. Her lunch tray had a burger and some fries on it.

Damon was at home busy finishing up some paperwork, after a long day at work. Now that school was over for the day, he spent some time alone. His Delcatty sat on the floor next to him, sleeping like a newborn baby. Damon hears someone knock on the door. "Who could that be?" He asks. He walks over towards the door, and he sees Jeremiah standing there holding a record. "Oh hey, Jeremiah!"

"Hello Mr. Jones, is Davey home?" He asks. "He let me borrow his record, and I'm just here to return it to him."

"Oh why thank you. But he's dealing with some things right now. But I can give it to him and tell him that you stopped by." He says.

"That's fine." He hands Damon the record and bows. "Thank you, Mr. Jones."

"No problem, thank you!" Damon says. He waits until Jeremiah leaves before he shuts the door. "Sarah, could you please come here?"

"Yes dad." Sarah comes into the living room. "What is it?" He asks.

"Jeremiah dropped off this record Davey gave him. Could you give this to your brother?" Damon says. "I would, but I don't have time to be around someone so negative."

"Uh sure?" Sarah thought the comment was a bit off colored, but she didn't say anything. She grabs the record from her dad.

"Thank you sweetie."

Sarah knocks on Davey's door. "Come in." Davey says, and Sarah opens the doors. His room was dark and it was hard to see. She didn't turn on the lights due to respect. "I'm here to drop off the record you loaned to Jeremiah." She says.

She was heartbroken to see her twin brother down in the dumps. She wanted to say something to him, but she wasn't sure how to put it into words. Davey ignores her. "I'll put it right on your desk." She does what she said she was going to do, and looks at Davey one last time. "Hey bro, I love you." She says as she walks off and shuts the door.

Sounds of something hitting the wall caught the attention of Davey. "What was that?" He asks. Eevee was also alarmed. Davey and Eevee get off the bed as the rumbling gets vigorous. He walks into his closet and follows the sound as it gets louder the more he gets near it. Davey scrambles, tossing clothes, pants and shoes everywhere. He stops once he lays his eyes on a mysterious blue box. He bends down and gets on one knee. "What's this?" He asks.

He picks up the box and opens it. He was shocked with what he saw. Inside was a piece of paper, a black Sparkling Stone, Discs and an Ultra Ball. The first thing that caught his interest was the piece of paper, and he grabbed it first. He opens the letter. "An Ultra Ball, Sparkling Stone, discs and a letter." He says. Davey begins reading the note:

Davey reads the note.

Davey, just in case you never see me again. I left you this note because I can trust you. There are people looking for me, and I don't think I can avoid them much longer. So until then, I'm writing this note just in case they find me. I don't want to tell you too much just in case they go after you too, but please know, you need to be careful. Please tell Sarah that I miss her too and love her. I bet she's going to become a strong Pokemon Trainer someday. I know you're probably asking a million questions right now, but please don't freak out and relax. Now I need to do something important. Please open the Pokeball.

Davey does what the letter told him to do, and opens the ball. The Legendary Pokemon Silvally comes out. Davey was shook. "Your, your, you're a Silvarly! A legendary Pokemon!" Davey freaks out. "I can't believe this… I thought only three were made in the whole world."

Silvally looks at Davey. "Hi." Davey hesitates, but hugs Silvally. There was something about it that was friendly, which was the opposite of what its appearance might suggest. Normally, it took Davey a while to warm up to a Pokemon before he could touch it, but with Silvally, Davey felt familiar. But that could be because he had a gut feeling of who this Pokemon belonged to. "It's nice to meet you Silvally, I'm Davey." Eevee jumps on top of Silvally and jumps up and down.

Davey lets go of his new Pokemon. Things started to click in his mind, and he continues reading the letter:

I'm leaving this Pokemon with you, because I know you'll be responsible enough to take care of it. Its name is Sivailly. It's a legendary Pokemon that I was told to create in a lab. There are only three of them known in the world, so it's an extremely rare Pokemon. When I created it, we were doing tests on it by turning it into a Shadow Pokemon, to bring out its true potential. I can't go into more details, because again, I don't want to put you in danger. I know you're afraid of Pokemon, and I wouldn't do this if I didn't have any other choice. But things are getting dangerous, and I don't know how much time I have left. I also left you a piece of Sparkling Stone from one of my trips to Alola. To turn that Sparkling Stone into a Z-Power Ring, you must talk to one of the four Kahunas in the Alola Region, so you can use Z-Crystals. However, if you want a Z-Crystal, you must complete an Island Challenge Trial. As for those discs, those are known as memory discs. Those are for Silvally and work with its RKS System ability to change its and along with its Multi-Attack attack. Please take care of it. This is my last gift to you, and I believe I will see you one day. Love, Mom.

Once he sees that letter was from his mom, he starts to cry. His speculation that it was from her was correct. Davey covers his mouth as tears start to run from his eyes and off his face. "I miss you so much mom."

Sarah overhears Davey's loud crying and walked into his closet. "So mom left you a letter as well." She says.

"Yeah she did!" Davey says. He gets up and looks at his sister. But he tries to hide the rest of the things she did, but it was hard for him to hide Silvally. "But it wasn't much, just a heartfelt letter telling me she loves me."

"Yeah I know. It was only a heartfelt letter for our birthday." Davey says. Huh? So she didn't tell Sarah anything. It makes sense, Sarah is close to my father, and she probably didn't want her to tell him anything so he wouldn't worry. I get it.

Sarah notices Silvally and is surprised. "Wait, what?! How did a loser like you get a Pokemon as cool as that?"

"Uh the Alola Region! Yeah, me and Ashley went there a couple days ago." He says. He felt a since of joy about finally one upping Sarah.

Sarah shrugs. She notices Davey getting cocky and had to bring him back to reality, as she always loved being on top. But she also wanted to beat both Davey and Silvally. "You know, we never got to have that battle."

"Oh yeah."

"So then let's have one next Friday! That way we will both have time to prepare. We can even have a battle at the Schools Stadium!"

"Wait what?! A battle at the Schools Stadium?" Davey was frightened at the thought of losing in front of the entire student body.

Sarah sounds passionate about battling Davey. "Yep! I wanna beat your ass in front of the student body." Sarah knew she was coming on strong. But she wasn't going to stop pressuring him anytime soon. "You owe me one, because you passed out when we were supposed to battle yesterday."

Davey caves in. "I suppose you're right." He says. He wanted to back out of the thought of finally battling his sister, after all this time made his anxiety go down. "So let's do it!"

"Awesome! It will be a three on three battle, so be prepared. Though I already know I'm going to win, so you can forfeit if you want."

"This time I won't forfeit or pass out, I'm going to beat you this time!" Davey promises. You could cut the tension in the air with a knife. At the same time, you still got the problem that they still loved each other. They were brother and sister after all. They hug.

"You know bro, I'm glad you're alright." She says. Sarah breaks the hug. "See you later, loser." She leaves.

The next day arrived, and school was now in session. The first thing Zack does was head to his Home Economics classroom, so he can talk to Miss Filo. Zack walks in the classroom as he sees Miss Filo cleaning up the room. "Hi Miss Filo, I was wondering if I could talk to you." He says and sounds regretful. Electivire follows behind him.

"Oh hi Zack, good morning!" She turns to Zack and smiles. "Is there something you need? My first period is about to start."

"Yes, I just wanted to apologize for my behavior yesterday. I was super judgemental and acted like a spoiled child." He apologizes.

Miss Filo smiles. "It's okay Zack, I accept your apology. All that matters is that you learn and grow from your mistakes, and take accountability for your actions, which is what you're doing."

Zack blushes. "Thank you, Miss Filo." He responds. He had a lot to think about last night, but what really pushed him was his conversation with Ashley. Apologizing was the first thing he wanted to do in the morning. "After thinking about it, I'm actually super excited to try baking."

"Well then, I can't wait to see what you make during third period Zack."

"I can't wait!" Zack smiles. Him and Miss Filo gained newfound respect for each other. Zack leaves the classroom and heads to his first period class, along with his Electivire.

To both Zack and Davey, today felt like a good day, filled with growing and learning new things about yourself. School is now out for the students at the Pokemon Academy, and as the sun sets, Zack overlooks SkyArrow Bridge on one of the Castelia City piers as the cold fall wind blows. He was waiting for Ashley for their dinner date. But as he waited for her, he needed some alone time to think.

"Hey." Davey says. He walks up to Zack. "Didn't think I'd see you here?"

"Me too. Though, I always come here when I feel lost or need a moment alone."

"Stressful week?" Davey asks. Davey looks down at the ocean. He was still feeling pretty sad about everything that's been happening to him recently. Though his talk with Sarah helped him feel a little better, it wasn't enough. He was still worried about his future. Though he could tell by the look on Zack's face that he's also been through a lot recently, and despite the two not getting along, he still wants Zack to know that he could talk to him about anything.

Zack nods. "Yeah it's been stressful." Zack and Davey both share an awkward laugh, before Zack puts his hand on Davey's right shoulder and looks at him. "You know Davey, I know me and many other people have given you crap about not having a goal. But I learned recently from someone I care about, that not having a goal isn't a bad thing. Because as humans, we can have multiple goals, so you don't need to limit yourself to one. Humans aren't stationary creatures and things aren't so black and white. Everything is complex."

Davey smiles. It was something he needed to hear. He knew Zack was a straight talker, so hearing it from him, someone who's always had his goal planned out, meant a lot. "Thank you, I needed that. I'm starting to realize that the only person whose opinion matters is my own, and it's about time I stop caring what other people think."

"Yeah, you need to because people suck." Zack says, and the two laugh. They stood there in silence for a second. Despite neither of them saying it out loud often, the two cared for each other. This was a moment they needed in their friendship to show that they cared for each other. Their friendship felt rebooted.

"You know Davey, I always considered you a rival of mine."

"Huh?"

"Yep. And Davey, if you're going to be my rival, I need you to stop being such a pussy."

Davey nods. He realizes he needs to stop focusing on little things and get serious. Davey slides the Z-Ring onto his left arm and balls up his fits. "It's time for me to stop acting like a baby. I'm going to get stronger, get over my fear of Pokemon, and start looking for my mom."

Zack smiles. He was happy to see Davey be confident. "You know what Davey, I've finally decided."

"Decided what?"

"I'm going to mentor you!"

"What?!" Davey was shocked to hear that. "Are you serious?"

"Yep. Let me take you under my wing. I know despite your many, many flaws, I know you can become a great Pokemon Trainer someday."

Davey thinks for a second, but realizes it was a pretty good idea. "You know Zack, I'll accept."

"Awsome, I can't wait for this!" Zack replies. Davey and Zack fist bump as they look at each other and smile.

A mysterious man watched Davey and Zack from the television screen inside his dark, mysterious lair thanks to the tiny drone he had flying around them that couldn't see. The man smiles. He was wearing a white lab coat. Underneath it was mint green scrubs that were dingy, dirty and torn apart, along with long yellow gloves. His face was hidden due to the cast of a shadow, so you couldn't tell who this person was at all. He folds his arms together.

"I've been keeping an eye on all of you, students at the Pokemon Academy. You might have disrupted our shadow Pokemon experiment. But don't worry, because I'll get my revenge. Soon you'll experience the Pokepocalypse, which will bring a world without Pokemon." The man says. His name was Dr. Dimension, and the man sounded serious about his threat.
