{"I am your Queen, and you will obey me."}

I forgot that I was supposed to update today lol sorry. Here y'all go.

A vortex appears, blowing the rubbish around, followed by Theta, Jack, Martha and I. I grunted as I moved off to the side to puke, "Oh, my head." Martha groaned as Theta rubbed my back gently. "Time travel without a capsule. That's a killer. Are you two okay?" He asked, causing me to nod and give him a small smile. We were okay, always okay. "Still, at least we made it. Earth, twenty first century by the looks of it. Talk about lucky." Jack chuckled, "That wasn't luck, that was me." Theta boosted his ego again, A few moments earlier, trying to keep out the Futurekind whilst using the sonic screwdriver on Jack's vortex manipulator bracelet. "Hold still! Don't move! Hold it still!" Theta shouted, "I'm telling you, it's broken. It hasn't worked for years." Jack insisted with a frown as Theta pulled me into his side. "That's because you didn't have me. Martha, grab hold, now!" With everyone holding on to the manipulator, we vanish.

"The moral is, if you're going to get stuck at the end of the universe, get stuck with an ex-Time Agent and his vortex manipulator." I chuckled as Jack smirked at me, "But this Master bloke, he's got the Tardis. He could be anywhere in time and space." Martha frowned looking at us. "No, he's here. Trust me." I spoke with a snarl, I really hated Theta's bestfriend with a passion and he just keeps giving me to reasons why. "Who is he, anyway? And that voice at the end, that wasn't the Professor." Martha asked again, "If the Master's a Time Lord, then he must have regenerated." Jack pointed out causing me to nod, "What does that mean?" She asked us with a confused look. "It means he's changed his face, voice, body, everything. New man." A beggar is tapping the rhythm of the start of the old Who theme on his tin mug. Di di di dum di di di dum.

"Then how are we going to find him?"

"I'll know him, the moment I see him. Time Lords always do."

"But hold on. If he could be anyone, we missed the election. But it can't be." A series of public television screens on lamp posts are broadcasting the news. "Mister Saxon has returned from the Palace and is greeting the crowd inside Saxon Headquarters." The new Prime Minister is walking down steps with his wife. "I said I knew that voice. When he spoke inside the Tardis. I've heard that voice hundreds of times. I've seen him. We all have. That was the voice of Harold Saxon." We all looked shock as I grunted with an eye roll, if anyone had a bigger ego than Theta it would be him. "That's him. He's Prime Minister."

"Mister Saxon, this way, sir. Come on, kiss for the lady, sir."

The Master is Prime Minister of Great Britain. The Master and his wife?" Theta asked confused and slightly weirded out by the new fact. "This country has been sick. This country needs healing. This country needs medicine. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that what this country really needs right now, is a Doctor." I glared with a snarl.

Pure annoyance.

I loathed the timelord that stood next to mine as he got them into trouble once again. It was the same thing with The Master, time and time again. Maybe it was my royal brainwashing, or maybe it was the fact that he embarrassed the shit out of me when we first met. Though it could also be the fact that he stole Theta away from me every chance he could get.

He had stopped back home for a visit and the annoyance found out somehow, immediately snatching him away to go flirt with Timeladys. Stating in quote, "You wouldn't understand, you were once one." Along with my favorite, "Since you've changed, I doubt he'll still like you." I wanted to punch the smug smirk off his face. I continued to stare with a heated glare from a far. Frowning slightly in confusion as Theta said something to him causing him to storm off. Theta sighed before moving over to me, "Bestfriend ditch you?" I snipped in annoyance.

Theta just chuckled as grabbed my hand pulling me down the corridor towards my tower. "Nah, I ditched him. We have new things to try out." My eyes widened as he shot me a smirk over his shoulder.

Oh.

We rushed into Martha's flat, "Home." She smiled slipping of her jacket. "What have you got? Computer, laptop, anything. Jack, who are you phoning? You can't tell anyone we're here." Theta asked as we both watched him, I honestly didn't mind. I trusted Jack, he wasn't stupid; a little crazy but not stupid. "Just some friends of mine, but there's no reply." Martha fetches her laptop, "Here you go. Any good?" Martha asked, "I can show you the Saxon websites. He's been around for ages."

"That's so weird though. It's the day after the election. That's only four days after I met you."

"We went flying all around the universe while he was here all the time."

"You going to tell us who he is?"

"He's a Time Lord." I grunted causing Martha to frown, "What about the rest of it? I mean, who'd call himself the Master?" Martha scoffed, "Exactly what I said, thank you!" I spoke happily as I pointed at her only to have them all look at me with raised eyebrows. I pouted and looked away, "That's all you need to know. Come on, show me Harold Saxon." Martha switches on her answering machine. "Martha, where are you? I've got this new job. You won't believe it. It's weird. They just phoned me up out of the blue. I'm working for-" Martha turns it off again, "Oh, like it matters." I frowned staring at the machine, I think this time it did.

"I'm voting Saxon. He can tick my box any day."

"Vote Saxon! Go Harry!"

"I think Mister Saxon is exactly what this country needs. He's a very fine man. And he's handsome too."

"Former Minister of Defence. First came to prominence when he shot down the Racnoss on Christmas Eve. Nice work, by the way." Jack complements causing Theta to scratch his chin. "Oh, thanks." He grunted back, "But he goes back years. He's famous. Everyone knows his story. Look. Cambridge University, Rugby blue. Won the Athletics thing. Wrote a novel, went into business, marriage, everything. He's got a whole life." Martha spoke with a frown, confused. I sighed moving to sit down on the couch as another memory hit me like a wave.

Graduation from the Academy was something in of itself. It had been a two day, three night celebration for the new generation of Timelords. It actually took place a few nights after Theta and I bonded. So I was officially a crowned royal, not that it matter much at least to theta. The master though decided that I was to good for his bestfriend and made it his mission to make my life hell. Theta had decided he wanted to travel the universe, granted he had left more times than I could count already but this time was different.

He stood before me with sad eyes, "Come with me?" He muttered as he took my hands. We stood on a terrace, the night sky beautifully shining. "You know she can't." We both turned to face the master who was leaning on a door with his arms crossed. He had his normal wicked look in his eyes, "I can though." I scoffed looking down, he had a point. He always did, no matter how much I hated it or how much I hated him. He always somehow managed to make me feel like the weakest or the stupidest in the room. Looking back up at Theta who looked down at me with tears in his eyes.

"Please." He begged tightening his hold on my hands. "Princess." The master whispered as a taunt just as one of the guards came to pick me up. Tonight was the night I would be locked away, separated from the man I loved. "Don't worry, I'll watch over him." The master smirked as I was pulled away, Theta tightening his grip as the guard tugged on my other arm. I didn't want this. I wanted to be with the man I loved, I wanted Theta. "I'll come back, I promise. I love you." He whispered finally yanking me into his arms and pulling me into a kiss. "I love you too." I whispered back as I was pulled away with one last smile.

That was the night he disappeared, he did come back; he always came back but that night I still cried myself to sleep because I didn't know that at the time.

The master seemed to have won again as they left together.

Jack is making us mugs of tea, "But he's got the Tardis. Maybe the Master went back in time and has been living here for decades." Jack muttered as he handed me mine causing me to give him a small grateful smile. "No." Theta muttered with a shake of his head, "Why not? Worked for me." Jack frowns, "When he was stealing the Tardis, the only thing I could do was fuse the coordinates. I locked them permanently. He can only travel between the year one hundred trillion and the last place the Tardis landed. Which is right here, right now." I explained causing Theta to nod in agreement. "Yeah, but a little leeway?" Jack pointed out, "Well, eighteen months, tops. The most he could have been here is eighteen months. So how has he managed all this? The Master was always sort of hypnotic, but this is on a massive scale."

"I was going to vote for him."

"Really?"

"Well, it was before I even met you. And I liked him."

"Me too."

"Why do you say that? What was his policy? What did he stand for?" Theta questioned, "I don't know. He always sounded good." She starts tapping the rhythm causing me to frown as I watched her do so. Theta seemed to see it as well, it was hypnotizing. "Like you could trust him. Just nice. He spoke about. I can't really remember, but it was good. Just the sound of his voice." She shrugged, she continued to tap the same rhythm as the man I saw outside. "What's that?" I asked her, "What?" She jumped slightly looking back at me confused. "That. That tapping, that rhythm. What are you doing?" I asked her pointing to her hand causing her to finally stop. "I don't know. It's nothing. It's just, I don't know." A fanfare blares out from the laptop and a pop up says Saxon Broadcast All Channels. Theta turns on the TV, "Our lord and master is speaking to his kingdom." I muttered spitefully with an eye roll.

"Britain, Britain, Britain. What extraordinary times we've had. Just a few years ago, this world was so small. And then they came, out of the unknown, falling from the skies. You've seen it happen." Over the appropriate film clips. "Big Ben destroyed. A spaceship over London. All those ghosts and metal men. The Christmas star that came to kill. Time and time again, and the government told you nothing. Well, not me. Not Harold Saxon. Because my purpose here today is to tell you this. Citizens of Great Britain, I have been contacted. A message for humanity, from beyond the stars."

"People of the Earth, We come in peace. We bring great gifts. We bring technology and wisdom and protection. And all we ask in return is your friendship." The Master smirks as my eyes widened, quickly standing up. It was the same look, the look he gets when he's up to something. Granted he is always up to something but this look was evil. "Ooo, sweet. And this species has identified itself." There was a short pause, "They are called the Toclafane." Theta jumps up as both of us speak together in shock, "What?" We breath out causing Jack and Martha to look between us confused. "And tomorrow morning, they will appear. Not in secret, but to all of you. Diplomatic relations with a new species will begin. Tomorrow, we take our place in the universe. Every man, woman and child. Every teacher and chemist and lorry driver and farmer. Oh, I don't know, every medical student?" He smirks as I immediately moved towards the door raising my shield as I get it unlocked. Theta turns to look at Martha, then turns the big old cathode ray tube TV around to see sticks of explosive strapped to the back.

"Out!" I shout as Theta grabs the laptop and we run out into the street. The first floor of the converted house explodes with a massive fireball smashing the windows. "All right? Kate, are you all right?" I nodded numbly as he checked me over. "Fine, yeah, fine." Jack and I muttered together still in slight shock. "Martha? What are you doing?" Martha is dialing on her mobile phone. "He knows about me. What about my family?" She asks in a panic, "Don't tell them anything." Theta insisted causing her to glare in annoyance. "I'll do what I like. Mum? Oh my God, You're there." She breathed out in relief before leaving to talk to her mother.

Theta frowned as he watched, I immediately take his hand causing him to squeeze it. He didn't trust her mother, that much I knew and to be honest I didn't trust her either especially after she slapped the shit out of him. "Mum. Has there been anyone asking about me?" Martha asked before frowning at the pause as she moved back over to us. "I can't. Not now." Martha spoke her eyebrows squinting in confusion before she placed the phone on speaker allowing us to hear. "No, but it's your father. We've been talking and We thought we might give it another go." Martha scoffed at the idea, "Don't be so daft. Since when?" There was a long pause before her mother sighed. "Just come around. Come to the house. We can.. Celebrate." Theta shot me a look as Martha looked up at us with suspicious eyes.

"You said you'd never get back with him in a million years."

"Ask him yourself."

"Martha, it's me."

"Dad, what are you doing there?"

"Like your mother said. Come round. We can explain everything." We all knew what was going on by now, "Dad? Just say yes or no. Is there someone else there?" There was another pause before her father broke. "Yes! Just run!" Clive shouted causing Martha's eyes to widen, "Clive!" Francine yelled in shock, "Listen to me! Just run! I don't know who they are!" Two men in black grab Clive as he runs along the hallway.

"We're trying to help her! Martha, don't listen to him!" Francine tried as Martha fretted over her father. I placed a hand on her shoulder, "Dad? What's going on? Dad?" She started to tear up as I pulled her into my side. "We've got to get Martha away from him!" Francine shouted again over the phone to who I'm assuming Clive before it hung up. "We've got to help them." Martha insisted as she pulled away from me."That's exactly what they want. It's a trap!" Martha goes to her Vauxhall Corsa. "I don't care." Theta gets in the front seat, Jack and I in the back.

Martha speeds down the road, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic. "Corner!" Theta shouted as I grunted putting my hand over my mouth trying to take a deep breath at the sudden motion sickness I was getting. Martha is making a phone call, hands free. "Come on, Tish. Pick up." He sister finally picked up and there was a pause. "What's happening? Tish!" She glares towards Theta, "It's your fault. It's all your fault!" The men are trying to get Francine into the police van when Martha drives up.

"I was helping you! Get off me! Martha, get out of here! Get out!" A man in black spots us, "Target identified. Armed police take up position, causing my eyes to widen. "Martha, reverse." I tell her quickly, "Get out, now!" Martha turns the car round as bullets slam into it. "Move it!" The rear window is about to be shattered as we drive away but my eyes begin to glow as my hands turn yellow. I quickly place them onto the door shielding the car, my instincts seeming to take over as we got away.

"The only place we can go planet Earth. Great!"

"Careful! Kate are you okay?" As I released the shield my nose began to bleed as my vision blurred and my head began to pound. "Martha, listen to me. Do as I say. We've got to ditch this car. Pull over. Right now!" She screeches into a spot under an underpass as Theta jumps out quickly going to my side. He pulls me out into his lap, "Oh my god!" Martha gasped as Theta used his regeneration to heal me. "What we're you thinking?! You know you can't do that with the baby!" He yelped causing me to wince, "I'm sorry. I just wanted y'all safe." I closed my eyes taking a deep breath.

A few minutes later, I'm back in the car with Jack who was in the drivers seat. "Martha, come on!" It is raining, and Martha is making another telephone call. "Leo! Oh, thank God. Leo, you got to listen to me. Where are you? Leo, just listen to me. Don't go home. I'm telling you. Don't phone Mum or Dad or Tish. You've got to hide. On my life. You've got to trust me. Go to Boxer's. Stay with him. Don't tell anyone. Just hide." She suddenly paused as her eyes widened while she listened to something on the phone. "Let them go, Saxon. Do you hear me! Let them go!" I move to get out of the car, making my way over to Theta who takes her phone. "I'm here." The Master transfers the call to his mobile.

"Doctor. Princess."

"Master."

"I like it when you use my name."

"You chose it. Psychiatrist's field day." I snipped causing him to chuckle darkly. "As you chose yours, Doctor. The man who makes people better. How sanctimonious is that?" He was speaking to Theta this time causing me to growl in annoyance. Unless it was an insult, he always ignored me. "So, Prime Minister, then." Theta asked, "I know. It's good, isn't it? Almost as good as Princess." He teased mockingly causing me to roll my eyes. "Who are those creatures? Because there's no such thing as the Toclafane. It's just a made up name, like the Bogeyman."

"Do you remember all those fairy tales about the Toclafane when we were kids. Back home. Where is it, Doctor? Princess?" I winced looking away as Theta frowned sadly, "Gone." I could practically here him frown in confusion over the phone call. "How can Gallifrey be gone?" He asked, "It burnt." I responded before Theta could, "And the Time Lords?" He questioned slowly, "Dead. And the Daleks, more or less. What happened to you?"

"The Time Lords only resurrected me because they knew I'd be the perfect warrior for a Time War. I was there when the Dalek Emperor took control of the Cruciform. I saw it. I ran. I ran so far. Made myself human so they would never find me, because I was so scared." I frowned, I didn't know they resurrected him; why didn't they tell me? While I was fighting for my people the revived an enemy just as dark as the Daleks. "I know." Theta's voice broke my train of thoughts. "All of them? But not you two, which must mean-" Theta looked away from me in his own self horror and loathing. "I was the only one who could end it. And I tried. I did. I tried everything." He muttered causing me to tear up, the love of my life carried a world on his shoulders. "What did it feel like, though? Two almighty civilisations burning. Oh, tell me, how did that feel?" The master taunted causing me to become angry, "Stop it!" I snapped, "You must have been like God." He laughed evilly.

"Stop it! I am your Queen and you will obey me!" There was a pause as Martha and Jack watched with wide eyes at my sudden power. The Masters laugh ringing through my ears, "Oh? And how did that happen? Before or after you let our world burn?" He hissed causing me to turn away in my own self sickness. He was right, he was always right. "Stop it. Don't you see? All we've got is each other." Theta spoke as he tried to mentally sooth me although it wasn't helping much. "Are you asking me out on a date?" He teased again causing me to flinch as Jack came over to bring me into a hug. "You could stop this right now. We could leave this planet. We can fight across the constellations, if that's what you want, but not on Earth."

"Too late." The Master snarled as Theta started to walk away, after handing Jack the computer. He gripped my hand pulling me along with him, "Why do you say that?" Theta asked, "The drumming. Can't you hear it? I thought it would stop, but it never does. Never ever stops. Inside my head, the drumming, Doctor. The constant drumming." I frowned as I hear him drumming the same beat again over the phone. "I could help you. Please, let me help." Theta tried to reason causing me to scoff. No matter how bad he was, Thera always seemed to see the good in the master. "It's everywhere. Listen, listen, listen. Here come the drums. Here come the drums."

A man lounging nearby starts slapping his thighs in the rhythm. "What have you done? Tell me how you've done this. What are those creatures? Tell me!" Theta snarled as I spotted a TV set in a shop window with us on it. "Ooo look. You're on TV." The Master teased as I tried gaining Theta's attention. "Stop it. Answer me." I smacked his arm again, "No, really. You're on telly. You and your little band, which," The broadcast is on a TV in a shop window. "By the way, is ticking every demographic box. So, congratulations on that. Look, there you are." The ticker says Nationwide Hunt For Terrorist Suspects, and has their pictures. "Known as the Captain. They are known to be armed and extremely dangerous."

The Master laughed smugly, "You're public enemies number one, two, three and four. Oh, and you can tell handsome Jack that I've sent his little gang off on a wild goose chase to the Himalayas, so he won't be getting any help from them. Now, go on, off you go. Why not start by turning to the right?" He chuckled darkly, "He can see us." I told Martha and Jack as they make their way over to us with frowns. Theta zaps the CCTV with the sonic screwdriver. "Oh, you public menace. Better start running. Go on, run." He laughed as I spun around to see people beginning to look at us. "He's got control of everything." I spoke, "What do we do?" Martha asked sadly looking at her photo on the tv screen. "We've got nowhere to go." Jack shrugged looking Theta straight in the eye.

"Doctor, what do we do?"

"Run, Doctor, Queen. Run for your life!"

"We run."

"I said, run!"

We ended up in a run down warehouse, Martha returns with a bag of takeaway food. "How was it?" Jack asked her concerned as I sat on Theta's lap while he looked at the computer. "I don't think anyone saw me. Anything new?" She asked the three of us, handing me a box of chips I asked if she could grab. "I've got this tuned to government wavelengths so we can follow what Saxon's doing." Jack explained, "Yeah, I meant about my family." She snapped slightly in annoyance causing him to pout as she walked over to the table. "It still says the Jones family taken in for questioning. Tell you what, though. No mention of Leo."

"He's not as daft as he looks. I'm talking about my brother on the run. How did this happen?" Martha scoffed to herself with tears in her eyes, "Nice chips." Jack comments snatching one from me. "Actually, they're not bad." Theta responded causing me to gap, they're stealing my food. "So, Doctor, who is he? How come the ancient society of Time Lords created a psychopath?" Jack asked as he snatched one more before sitting down with a smug look as I shot him a glare."And what is he to you? Like a colleague or."

"A friend, at first."

"I thought you were going to say he was your secret brother or something."

"You've been watching too much TV."

"But all the legends of Gallifrey made it sound so perfect." Jack uttered raising an eyebrow at us. "Well, perfect to look at, maybe. And it was. It was beautiful. They used to call it the Shining World of the Seven Systems. And on the Continent of Wild Endeavour, in the Mountains of Solace and Solitude, there stood the Citadel of the Time Lords, the oldest and most mighty race in the universe, looking down on the galaxies below. Sworn never to interfere, only to watch. Children of Gallifrey, taken from their families age of eight to enter the Academy. And some say that's when it all began. When he was a child, that's when the Master saw eternity. As a novice, he was taken for initiation. He stood in front of the Untempered Schism. It's a gap in the fabric of reality through which could be seen the whole of the vortex. You stand there, seventeen years old, staring at the raw power of time and space, just a child. Some would be inspired, some would run away, some would go mad and some become destined to rule. Brr. I don't know." They looked slightly confused by his wording. On earth years it's seventeen but to us, we're already a hundred or more by then. So technically speaking it is like a child. "What about you?" Martha asked Theta, "Oh, the ones that ran away, I never stopped."

Jack's bracelet beeps, "Encrypted channel with files attached. Don't recognise it." He frowned at it. "Patch it through to the laptop." Theta demands, "Since we're telling stories, there's something I haven't told you." The Torchwood logo appears on the laptop with the miraculous battery life. "You work for Torchwood." Theta stated angrily, "I swear to you, it's different. It's changed. There's only half a dozen of us now." He looked towards me with a pleasing look as I frowned back with a cock of my head. "Everything Torchwood did, and you're part of it?" I asked him, "The old regime was destroyed at Canary Wharf. I rebuilt it, I changed it, and when I did that, I did it for you in your honour." I slowly nodded in understanding.

Theta hits play, "If I haven't returned to my desk by twenty two hundred, this file will be emailed to Torchwood. Which means if you're watching this, then I'm. Anyway, the Saxon files are attached. But take a look at the Archangel document. That's when it all started. When Harry Saxon became Minister in charge of launching the Archangel Network." I frowned at the name as Theta looked up confused. "What's the Archangel Network?" We both asked, "I've got Archangel. Everyone's got it." Martha explained looking towards Jack who nodded as well. "It's a mobile phone network. Because look, it's gone worldwide. They've got fifteen satellites in orbit. Even the other networks, they're all carried by Archangel."

"It's in the phones! Oh, I said he was a hypnotist. Wait, wait, wait. Hold on." Theta taps Martha's phone against the table, and it starts beeping di di di dum di di di dum. "There it is. That rhythm, it's everywhere, ticking away in the subconscious." He explained, "What is it, mind control?" Martha asked in disbelief. "No, no, no, no, no. It's subtler than that. Any stronger and people would question it. But contained in that rhythm, in layers of code, Vote Saxon. Believe in me. Whispering to the world. Oh, yes! That's how he hid himself from me, because I should have sensed there was another Time Lord on Earth. I should have known way back. The signal cancelled him out."

"Any way you can stop it?"

"Not from down here. But now we know how he's doing it."

"And we can fight back."

"Oh, yes!" He takes parts of the phone and the laptop, and welds them sonically to their Tardis keys. "Four Tardis keys. Four pieces of the Tardis, all with low level perception properties because the Tardis is designed to blend in. Well, sort of. But now, the Archangel Network's got a second low level signal. Weld the key to the network and Martha, look at me. You can see me, yes?" He asked causing her to nod with a confused look, "Yes." She looked towards me for a second, "What about now?" He puts the string with his key on it around his neck, and Martha finds it difficult to look straight at him. "No, I'm here. Look at me."

"It's like I know you're there, but I don't want to know."

"And back again. See? It just shifts your perception a tiny little bit. Doesn't make us invisible, just unnoticed. Oh, I know what it's like. It's like, it's like when you fancy someone and they don't even know you exist. That's what it's like. Come on." He leads pulling me along as Jack muttered something. "You too, huh?" I turned back slightly to see him looking at me with a small smile.

"Don't run, don't shout. Just keep your voice down. Draw attention to yourself and the spell is broken. Just keep to the shadows." Theta explained, "Like ghosts." Jack muttered as he watch people pass by us, "Yeah, that's what we are. Ghosts." With the keys around our necks, we have to step aside to prevent people from walking into them. "And as they eyes of the world turn towards Great Britain, sources indicate that Air Force One has landed on British soil tonight." The Master salutes as the President walks up to him. He's a George W Bush look-alike. "Mister President, sir." The Master smirks smugly, "Mister Saxon, the British Army will stand down. From now on, UNIT has control of this operation."

"You make it sound like an invasion."

"First Contact policy was decided by the Security Council in 1968, and you've just gone and ignored it."

"Well, you know what it's like. New job, all that paperwork. I think it's down the back of the settee. I did have a quick look. I found a pen, a sweet, a bus ticket and er, have you met the wife?" The Master smiled and pulled his wife closer, "Mister Saxon, I'm not sure what your game is but there are provisions at the United Nations to have you removed from office unless you are very, very careful. Is that understood? Are you taking this seriously? To business. We've accessed your files on these Toclafane." Theta, Jack, Martha and I are watching a little way away. "First Contact cannot take place on any sovereign soil. To that purpose, the aircraft carrier Valiant is en route. The rendezvous will take place there at eight am. You're trying my patience, sir." Winters snapped in annoyance, "So America is completely in charge?"

"Since Britain elected an ass, yes. I'll see you onboard the Valiant." I snorted at the word that explained him perfectly, "It still will be televised, though, won't it. Because I promised, and the whole world is watching." He smiled evilly, "Since it's too late to pull out, the world will be watching. Me." The President walks to his motorcade. "The last President of America. We have a private plane ready and waiting. We should reach the Valiant within the hour. My darling." Lucy leaves with her security guard. The Master turns and looks in the rough direction of us. "A Police van arrives and the Master runs over to it. Clive and Francine are bundled out. "Ha ha ha! Hi, guys!" He laughed causing Martha's father to glare at the man. "You can't just do this." He hissed at the Master, "All will be revealed."

"Oh my God."

"Don't move."

"But the"

"Don't."

Clive and Francine are pushed into a Range Rover Vogue. "I'm going to kill him." Martha glared angrily, "What say I use this perception filter to walk up behind him and break his neck?" Jack asked causing Theta to scuff. "Now that sounds like Torchwood." He glared at Jack who shrugged, "Still a good plan." He muttered back with a pout. "He's a Time Lord, which makes him my responsibility." I started only to be interrupted by Theta, "I'm not here to kill him. I'm here to save him." I couldn't agree with him, I was more or less on Jack's side but I knew it wouldn't work out. "Aircraft carrier Valiant. It's a UNIT ship at fifty eight point two north, ten point oh two east." Jack explained to us causing me to frown. I really wasn't getting a good feeling about this, "How do we get on board?" Martha asked, determined to save her family no matter what. "Does that thing work as a teleport?" Theta asked him, "Since you revamped it, yeah. Coordinates set." All hands on Jack's bracelet and we land in bad position. I grunt trying not to puke my guts up once again.

"Oh, that thing is rough."

"I've has worse nights. Welcome to the Valiant."

"It's dawn? Hold on, I thought this was a ship. Where's the sea?" Martha asked confused, "A ship for the twenty first century, protecting the skies of planet Earth." Valiant is effectively a Cloudbase, with three landing strips and a helipad. Theta stops running causing me to almost run into him. "We've no time for sightseeing." Jack snipped causing me to smack him to shush him. "No, wait. Shush, shush, shush, shush. Can't you hear it?" I asked them with a frown as Theta slowly nodded. "Hear what?" Jack asked after he finally stopped pouting at me. "Kate, my family's on board." Martha grunted causing Theta to shake his head, "Brilliant. This way." We run down a gangway to level 4, then open a door at the end.

"Oh, at last!"

"Oh, yes!"

"What's it doing on the Valiant?"

It was our home! We quickly rushed inside chasing me to gasp in pain as I looked around in horror. "What the hell's he done?" Jack asked, "Don't touch it." I snapped as I moved closer to her console which was trapped in a cage. "I'm not going to." Jack muttered watching us, "What's he done though? Sounds like it's sick." I dropped down to my knees as her voice never came back to me. "It can't be. No, no, no, no, no, no, it can't be." I started cried as Theta pulled me into him with tears of horror of his own. "Doctor, what is it?" Martha asked as she stared at us with wide eyes. "He's cannibalised the Tardis." I muttered out numbly and in anger. Again, he always does it. Somehow in someway he always hurts me or makes my life a living hell. "Is this what I think it is?" Jack asked slowly, "It's a paradox machine."

A few minutes later I'm sitting on the seat as Theta taps a gauge on the metal mesh around the time console. "As soon as this hits red, it activates. At this speed, it'll trigger at two minutes past eight." Theta grunts with an annoyed glare. "First contact is at eight, then two minutes later." Jack repeated, "What's it for? What does a paradox machine do?" Martha asked as she stood beside me rubbing my back. I had to calm down, I had to keep my child safe. The Master still didn't know yet because of my shielding but he will find out soon enough and I dread to think what he would do. "More important, can you stop it?" Jack asked, "Not till I know what it's doing. Touch the wrong bit, blow up the solar system." Theta mimicked a solar system blowing up. "Then we've got to get to the Master." Martha spoke with a determined and angry glare, she wanted the Master dead just as much as Jack and I. "Yeah. How are we going to stop him?" Jack asked, "Oh, I've got a way. Sorry, didn't I mention it?"

I frowned, Theta was the only one who wanted to save him and I couldn't help but feel angry at him for it.

"My fellow Americans, patriots, people of the world. I stand before you today as ambassador for humanity, a role I will undertake with the utmost solemnity. Perhaps our Toclafane cousins can offer us much, but what is important is not that we gain material benefits, but that we learn to see ourselves anew." We enter the room quietly as Winters speaks, "For as long as man has looked at the stars, he has wondered what mysteries they hold. Now we know we are not alone." Jack looks towards Theta, "This plan, you going to tell us?" He asked in a whisper causing Martha and I to look over in question as well. "No longer unique in the universe." My ears slightly perked up at his announcement. "If I can get this around the Master's neck, cancel out his perception, they'll see him for real. It's just hard to go unnoticed with everyone on red alert. If they stop me you've got a key."

"Yes, sir."

"I'll get him."

"And I ask you now, I ask of the human race, to join with me in welcoming our friends. I give you the Toclafane."

The four spheres appear, "My name is Arthur Coleman Winters, President Elect of the United States of America, and designated representative of the United Nations. I welcome you to the planet Earth and its associated moon."

"You're not the Master."

"We like the Mister Master."

"We don't like you."

"I can be master, if you so wish. I will accept mastery over you, if that is God's will."

"Man is stupid."

"Master is our friend."

"Where's my Master, pretty please?"

"Oh, all right then. It's me. Ta da! Sorry, sorry, I have this effect. People just get obsessed. Is it the smile? Is it the aftershave? Is it the capacity to laugh at myself? I don't know. It's crazy." He chuckled darkly gaining shocked looks from everyone. "Saxon, what are you talking about?" Winters asked in disbelief, "I'm taking control, Uncle Sam, starting with you. Kill him." A sphere points its weapon at Winters and blasts him into little pieces. General consternation and guns drawn. The Master laughs and applauds, "Guards." He shouts as they pull their guns on everyone. "Nobody move! Nobody move!" They shout together, "Now then, peoples of the Earth. Please attend carefully." Theta takes off his key and tries to run forward. Two men in black grab him, "Stop him!"

"We meet at last, Doctor. Oh, ho. I love saying that." The Master laughs as his eyes gleam with tease. "Stop it! Stop it now!" Theta shouted in worry and anger. "As if a perception filter's going to work on me. And look, it's the girlie and the freak. Although, I'm not sure which one's which. And our lovely Queen." Jack runs forward, The Master zaps him with his screwdriver. I jump slightly when he turns to me with a smirk. "Laser screwdriver. Who'd have sonic? And the good thing is, he's not dead for long. I get to kill him again!" He laughed as one of the guards grab me. "Master, just calm down. Just look at what you're doing. Just stop. If you could see yourself." He was interrupted, "Oh, do excuse me. Little bit of personal business. Back in a minute. Let them go."

"It's that sound. The sound in your head. What if I could help?" Theta tried to reason, "Oh, how to shut him up? I know. Memory Lane. Professor Lazarus. Remember him and his genetic manipulation device? What, did you think that little Tish got that job merely by coincidence? I've been laying traps for you all this time. And if I can concentrate all that Lazarus technology into one little screwdriver? But, ooo, if I only had the Doctor's biological code. Oh, wait a minute, I do." He opens a large metal briefcase, "I've got his hand. And if Lazarus made himself younger, what if I reverse it? Another hundred years?" I go green at the sight causing him to raise an eyebrow. The Master aims his screwdriver at Theta, who goes into rapid convulsions. I scream out as in shock as I'm pulled away from him.

Jack revives with Martha next to him, "Teleport." She shakes her head, "I can't." She insisted with tears building up. "We can't stop him. Get out of here. Get out." Lucy is looking very unhappy with all this. The Master stops zapping the Doctor, who now looks at least a hundred years old. Kate is on her knees as a guard stands behind her with a gun to her head. "Doctor? I've got you." Martha speaks up, "Ah, she's a would be doctor. But tonight, Martha Jones, we've flown them in all the way from prison." Clive, Tish and Francine are brought in, their wrists fastened together with cable ties. "Come on, move."

"Mum."

"I'm sorry."

"The Toclafane. What are they? Who are they?"

"Doctor, if I told you the truth, your hearts would break." The Master fake pouted shooting me a dark look.

"Is it time? Is it ready?"

"Is the machine singing?"

"Two minutes past. So, Earthings. Basically, er, end of the world. Here come the drums!"

Rogue Trader's song 'Voodoo Child' starts playing as the paradox machine in the Tardis activates. I let out a whimper as my connect with her is fractured even more. A tear appears in the sky above the Valiant and thousands of spheres pour out. "How many do you think?" We all watch on in shock, "I, I don't know." Lucy gapped, "Six billion. Down you go, kids!" The spheres head to the population centres and open fire. "Shall we decimate them? That sounds good. A nice word, decimate. Remove one tenth of the population!" Theta whispers to Martha and she nods. She moves away from him, holding Jack's bracelet.

"Valiant, this is Geneva. We're getting slaughtered down here. Valiant, report. Help us. For God's sake, help us! They're everywhere!"

Other reports come in in other languages.

"This is London, Valiant. This is London calling. What do we do? They're killing us! The Toclafane are all around. They're killing us." Martha teleports away, allowing me to breath a little as Theta and Jack look at each other, and Theta nods. Still wearing the Tardis key, Martha watches London burning. Lucy holds up the ancient Theta so can watch the slaughter. While the Master smirked walking over to me and grabbing my arm to pull me closer as well. "And so it came to pass that the human race fell, and the Earth was no more. And I looked down upon my new dominion as Master of all, and I thought it good."

A/N - The second flashback timeline. It's her second regeneration, they just graduated the academy. The week before she was crowned after looking into the infinite void all Gallifreyen students had to do this on the last week of school. Like the STAAR test only easier. Within the last month of school, The Doctor turned the age to marry which is what I said in the first episode.

I did change the ages up for the infinite void as I like to call it lol. Just go along with it because that's how it goes into my story.

So just in case anyone is curious.
