"Space lane traffic is advised to stay away from Sol Three, also known as Earth. Pilots are warned Sol Three is now entering terminal extinction. Planet Earth is closed. Planet Earth is closed. Planet Earth is closed."

One year later

"Citizens rejoice. Your lord and master stands on high, playing track three." The Master enters the flight deck and starts dancing to I Can't Decide by Scissor Sisters. He goes up to Lucy, kisses her and they dance together. The past year had been a long and torturous one, after The Master figured out I was pregnant he decided to ruin me even me. "I'm going to take your baby." His voice echoed throughout my mind and I knew he would. He didn't say anything to Theta and neither did I, we both knew what would happen if we did. If the Master told him then Theta would definitely kill him. If I told him, Theta's plan to save everyone would end. It was to big of a risk.

So I stayed away from him, in chains I watched everyone in silence. Francine the maid serves tea. The Master rings a ships bell and Theta crawls out of his straw-strewn tent. The Master forces him into a wheelchair and takes him for a push around the deck. I wanted to cry with the way he looked, he looked so defeated but I knew he was waiting. Waiting for the perfect time for Martha to come back. "It's ready to rise, Doctor. The new Time Lord Empire. It's good, isn't it? Isn't it good? Anything? No? Anything? Oh, but they broke your hearts, didn't they, those Toclafane, ever since you worked out what they really are. They say Martha Jones has come back home. Now why would she do that?" He asked leaning down to speak towards Theta.

"Leave her alone."

"But you said something to her, didn't you? On the day I took control. What did you tell her?" The Master shouts in anger, "I have one thing to say to you. You know what it is." Theta snarled at the Master causing him to shake his head. "Oh no, you don't!" He pushes the Theta's wheelchair away. "Valiant now entering Zone One airspace. Citizens rejoice." Tannoy announces, "Come on, people! What are we doing? Launch Day in twenty four hours." Theta holds three fingers against his thigh. Francine repeats the signal to Clive, who is mopping the deck in a corridor. He passes the signal on to Tish, who is also a maid, as she takes a meal to the prisoner.

On LD2, grubby, tattered Jack is being forced to stand all the time, wrists chained to stout posts on either side. "Morning, Tish. Ah, smell that sea air. Makes me long for good old British fish and chips. Yeah. What do I get? Cold mashed swede. Some hotel. Last time I book over the Internet." Tish spoons him his food and puts three fingers against the container. Jack winks, he would get to see Kate soon after all.

14:58 according to the chronometer up on the bridge. The Doctor, Francine and Tish are there, whilst Clive is still cleaning below decks. Jack can see a clock from his cage, too, and starts to pull on his chains. The Master enters the flight deck with Kate who is heavily pregnant and makes her sit at the desk. "Time for my massage. Who shall I have today? Tanya. Come on, sweetheart. Lucy, have you met Tanya? She's gorgeous. Tanya, when we go to the stars, I'm going to take you to the Catriga Nova. Whirlpools of gold." With seconds to go to 3 o'clock, Jack's chains are coming free of the wall. "You two should get to know each other. That might be fun." Tanya massages the Master's shoulders. On the stroke of 3, Jack is free. He grabs a steam hose and points it at the guard. Clive throws water on an electrical circuit and starts a fire. "Condition red." A man announces, "What the hell?" The Master snarls causing Kate to smirk. "Repeat, condition red." Francine throws the Master's jacket to Tish. She gives it to the Doctor who takes the laser screwdriver from the pocket and points it at the Master.

"Oh, I see."

"I told you. I have one thing to say." The Master laughs, Clive gets caught. Jack is confronted by a squad of armed men, so he surrenders. "Oh, here we go again." The squad shoot Jack.

Theta can't get the laser screwdriver to work causing my shoulders to slump. I wish I could do more than sit here but I didn't want to endanger the baby more now that I was heavily pregnant. "Isomorphic controls." He takes screwdriver from Theta and punches him causing me to flinch. "Which means they only work for me. Like this." A laser beam just misses Francine. "Say sorry!" I glare and stand up, "Leave her alone." My voice boomed causing him to freeze. He slowly turned to me raising an eyebrow before laughing. "Didn't you learn anything from the blessed Saint Martha? Siding with the Doctor is a very dangerous thing to do. Take them away."

"Move. Come on."

"Okay. Gotcha." The Master helps Theta into a chair as Tish and Francine are taken away. One of the guards grabbed me and sat me back down. "Oh boy. There you go, Gramps. Oh, do you know, I remember the days when the Doctor, oh, that famous Doctor, was waging a Time War, battling Sea Devils and Axons. He sealed the rift at the Medusa Cascade single handed. And look at him now. Stealing screwdrivers. How did he ever come to this? Oh yeah, me." The Master laughs smugly shooting me a look. "I just need you to listen." Theta tries, "No, it's my turn. Revenge! Best served hot. And this time, it's a message for Miss Jones."

"My people. Salutations on this, the eve of war. Lovely woman. But I know there's all sorts of whispers down there. Stories of a child, walking the Earth, giving you hope." Francine, Clive and Tish are locked up, and Jack is back in his chains. "But I ask you how much hope has this man got? Say hello, Gandalf. Except he's not that old, but he's an alien with a much greater lifespan than you stunted little apes. But what if it showed? What if I suspend your capacity to regenerate? All nine hundred years of your life, Doctor. What if we could see them?" The Master retunes his screwdriver and zaps Theta again causing me to whimper in pain. "Older and older and older. Down you go, Doctor. Down, down, down the years." Finally the convulsions end. Theta is no longer sitting in the wheelchair. "Doctor." A tiny creature with big eyes, rather Gollum-like, peers out from the otherwise empty clothes.

"Received and understood, Miss Jones?" The broadcast ends and the tiny Theta is imprisoned in a bird cage. "I'm going To kill him, if I have to wait a hundred years. I'm going to kill the Master." Jack has a gun pointed at him all the time now. "One day he'll let his guard down. One day. And I'll be there."

Lucy is still in the glamorous red dress, but she's not a happy little wife any more. The Master seemed to be paying more attention to me and other things than her. "Tomorrow, they launch. We're opening up a rift in the Braccatolian space. They won't see us coming. It kind of scary." Theta is in a cage as The Master sits me down in a chair. "Then stop." He voices came out the same but his body was small and old. I wanted so badly to pull him close to me and hold him. "Once the Empire is established, and there's a new Gallifrey in the heavens, maybe then it stops. The drumming. The never ending drumbeat. Ever since I was a child. I looked into the vortex. That's when it chose me. The drumming, the call to war. Can't you hear it? Listen, it's there now. Right now. Tell me you can hear it, Doctor. Tell me."

"It's only you."

"Good.

A sphere enters, "Tomorrow, the war. Tomorrow we rise, never to fall."

"You see? I'm doing it for them. You should be grateful. After all, you love them so very, very much."

"I took Lucy to Utopia. A Time Lord and his human companion. I took her to see the stars. Isn't that right, sweetheart?" He smirked at her as he sat down in a chair, "Trillions of years into the future, to the end of the universe." She smiled, "Tell him what you saw." He insisted trying to get a rise out of everyone in the room. "Dying. Everything dying. The whole of creation was falling apart, and I thought, there's no point. No point to anything. Not ever." She shrugged, "And it's all your fault. You should have seen it, Doctor. Furnaces burning. The last of humanity screaming at the dark. All that human invention that had sustained them across the eons. It all turned inwards. They cannibalised themselves." I grew sick at the thought once again.

"We made ourselves so pretty."

"Regressing into children. But it didn't work. The universe was collapsing around them. My masterpiece, Doctor. A living Tardis, strong enough to hold the paradox in place, allowing the past and the future to collide in infinite majesty." All those people, it keeps happening over and over again. Millions dying, and he was using the Tardis to do so. "But you're changing history. Not just Earth, the entire universe." I stated gaining his attention causing him to scoff at me. "I'm a Time Lord. I have that right and you don't get to talk." He pointed snarling at me in anger, "You let our world die." He snapped as I flinched back, Theta shook his head at me. His eyes shining, he was trying to tell me it wasn't my fault but it was. "But even then, why come all this way just to destroy?"

"We come backwards in time all to build a brand new empire lasting one hundred trillion years." The female sphere spoke, "With me as their master. Time Lord and humans combined. Haven't you always dreamt of that, Doctor? Human race, greatest monsters of them all. Night, then." The Master and Lucy leave, and the sphere follows. There was a pause before I couldn't hold it in anymore, I burst into tears. Mourning my own loss and the loss of our people. Theta tried to speak to me but I ignored him, I couldn't be comforted by him right now because I knew he would make it all go away.

A few hours later, The Master enters in a silk dressing gown and wakes up Theta and I. I grunted as I leaned back against the chair, I shouldn't have fallen asleep at the table but I ended crying myself out. "Guess what." He cheered as he pulled me up and pulled me out of the room. Theta shouting after us as I winced in pain at his grip.

Outside, we are accompanied by armed guards and spheres. Tom readies his gun by the letter box. "He walks among us, our lord and master."

"Martha. Martha Jones. I can see you! Out you come, little girl. Come and meet your master. Anybody? Nobody? No? Nothing? Positions. I'll give the order unless you surrender. Ask yourself. What would the Doctor do?" Martha takes off the Tardis key and comes outside, I winced in slight horror. "Oh, yes. Oh, very well done. Good girl. He trained you well. Bag. Give me the bag. No, stay there. Just throw it." Martha throws her backpack towards the Master, who fires his laser screwdriver at it. "And now, good companion, your work is done." The Master points his laser at Martha. Tom runs out of the house. "No!" The Master kills Tom, and laughs. I flinch at the sound as Martha glares harshly at him. "But you, when you die, the Doctor should be witness, hmm? Almost dawn, Martha, and planet Earth marches to war." Armed guards grab her and we were taken back to the air ship.

"Citizens of Earth, rejoice and observe." Guards bring Martha in. Clive, Francine and Tish are already there on one side and Jack on the other. "Your teleport device, in case you thought I'd forgotten." Martha throws the vortex manipulator to the Master. "And now, kneel. Down below, the fleet is ready to launch. Two hundred thousand ships set to burn across the universe. Are we ready?" The Master asked, "The fleet awaits your signal. Rejoice!" A man announces for everyone. "Three minutes to align the black hole converters. Counting down. I never could resist a ticking clock. My children, are you ready?" He speaks happily, he was a killer an evil ruler and he was about to end the world again. "We will fly and blaze and slice. We will fly and blaze and slice." A sphere announces, "At zero, to mark this day, the child Martha Jones, will die. My first blood. Any last words? No? Such a disappointment, this one. Days of old, Doctor, you had companions who could absorb the time vortex. This one's useless. Bow your head. And so it falls to me, as Master of all, to establish from this day, a new order of Time Lords. From this day forward." Martha laughs quietly interrupting him.

"What. What's so funny?"

"A gun?"

"What about it?"

"A gun in four parts?"

"Yes, and I destroyed it."

"A gun in four parts scattered across the world? I mean, come on, did you really believe that?" I asked him causing his head to snap towards me as he glared before cocking it. "What do you mean?" He snarled, "As if I would ask her to kill." Theta spoke from off to the side gaining the Masters attention once again. "Oh well, it doesn't matter. I've got her exactly where I want her." I snorted and shook my head. "But I knew what Professor Docherty would do. The Resistance knew about her son." Martha explained, "I told her about the gun, so she'd get me here at the right time." She smirked causing him to shrug, "Oh, but you're still going to die and I'll still have your child." He hissed towards me causing Theta to growl in anger. He only spoke of it now because Theta couldn't do anything although I knew he wouldn't either way. "Don't you want to know what I was doing, travelling the world?" Martha asked distracting him, "Tell me." He spoke in annoyance, only entertaining her idea. Or so he thought, "I told a story, that's all. No weapons, just words. I did just what the Doctor said. I went across the continents all on my own. And everywhere I went, I found the people, and I told them my story."

"He has saved your lives so many times, and you never even knew he was there. I know him. I told them about the Doctor. And I told them to pass it on, to spread the word so that everyone would know about the Doctor."

"Faith and hope? Is that all?"

"No, because I gave them an instruction, just as the Doctor said." Martha stands up, remembering what Theta had whispered to her before she disappeared a year ago. "Use the countdown." He whispered to her as I watched silently while a tear rolled down her cheek before she moved away. "I told them that if everyone thinks of one word, at one specific time" She started, "Nothing will happen. Is that your weapon? Prayer?" He scoffed as if it was the stupidest thing he had ever heard. "Right across the world, in word, just one thought at one moment but with fifteen satellites." I explained causing him to glare towards me, "What?" He hissed in question. "The Archangel Network." Jack pointed out with a smug smirk, "A telepathic field binding the whole human race together, with all of them, every single person on Earth, thinking the same thing at the same time. And that word is Doctor." Zero. Theta and his cage starts to glow causing me to smile in happiness as my body begins to feel whole once again as our connect came back once again.

"Stop it. No, no, no, no, you don't."

"Doctor. Doctor."

"Doctor."

"Don't."

"Doctor. Doctor. Doctor." The Master spun around with a look of horror, "Stop this right now. Stop it!" He pointed towards Theta who raised his hands, "Doctor." I started, "Doctor." Jack continued shooting me a smile, I smiled back giving him a nod. "Doctor." This time Martha did it, "Doctor." Theta is back to his previous centegenarian form causing me to smile in relief. It worked, "I've had a whole year to tune myself into the psychic network and integrate with its matrices." Theta explained with a slightly smug look. "I order you to stop!" The Master snapped as I took a breath and muttered his title again as well. "Doctor. Doctor. Doctor. Doctor." Everyone chanted together. "Doctor." Even Lucy did it causing me to frown slightly. "The one thing you can't do. Stop them thinking."

Theta is back to his normal appearance, "Tell me the human race is degenerate now, when they can do this." Martha runs to Francine and Tish for a group hug. "No!" He fires laser screwdriver at Theta, but the energy field is still around him and it doesn't get through. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Theta mutters towards me with tears in his eyes causing me to shake my head. It wasn't his fault and it killed me to see him thinking it. He always carried worlds on his shoulders, hell even the universe. "Then I'll kill them." Theta stretches out his hand and the screwdriver flies from the Master's hand. "You can't do this. You can't do it. It's not fair!" The Master shouted in anger and annoyance. "And you know what happens now."

"No! No! No! No!" Theta floats towards the Master. "You wouldn't listen." I stated raising an eyebrow, "No!" He shouted back in anger and horror. "Because you know what I'm going to say." I snapped back but he shook his head. "No." The Master curls into a ball in the corner. Theta puts his arms around him, "I forgive you." He whispered to him causing me to glare at the floor as I turn away. "My children." He cries out, "Protect the paradox. Protect the paradox. Protect the paradox." The spheres chant together, "Captain, the paradox machine!" Theta shouts, "You men, with me! You stay here." He spots the Master activating the manipulator, and grabs it. "No!"

"Now it ends, Doctor. Now it ends." A roll of thunder, and sirens sound in the shipyard. "We've all six billion spheres heading right for us." Martha speaks in horror, "We've got control of the Valiant. You can't launch." I pointed out with a glare, "Oh, but I've got this. Black hole converter inside every ship. If I can't have this world, Doctor, then neither can you. We shall stand upon this Earth together, as it burns." Jack and the guards find three spheres are guarding the Tardis, so they start shooting at them. The rest are hurtling back down towards the Valiant. "Can't get in. We'd get slaughtered." The Guard shook his head, "Yeah. Happens to me a lot." Jack goes in alone.

"Weapon after weapon after weapon. All you do is talk and talk and talk. But over all these years and all these disasters, I've always had the greatest secret of them all. I know you. Explode those ships, you kill yourself. That's the one thing you can never do. Give that to me." The Master hands over the black hole converter trigger. Jack gets inside the Tardis and empties his machine gun clip at the paradox machine. It goes Bang. At the quarry, the ground shakes as the Doctor and the Master struggle for the vortex manipulator. They disappear together.

The spheres disappear and the ship shakes. Papers are flying everywhere. Martha gets thrown into the Theta's arms. "Everyone get down! Time is reversing!" The Master is hanging onto some railings. Francine sees a pistol on the floor. Meanwhile, the winds of time are creating havoc and panic on the ground, until finally the people, the rockets and the statues disappear. Calm returns and a red bus drives around Piccadilly Circus. "The paradox is broken. We've reverted back, one year and one day. Two minutes past eight in the morning." I looked down at my stomach with a raised eyebrow and a small smile. It seemed my baby was just fine, I breathed in relief as I felt her move. "This is UNIT Central. What's happened up there? We just saw the President assassinated." My head snapped up to the voice as Theta shot me a look. "Just after the President was killed, but just before the spheres arrived. Everything back to normal. Planet Earth restored. None of it happened. The rockets, the terror. It never was."

"What about the spheres?" Martha asked looked towards me as I moved back over towards them. "Trapped at the end of the universe." I explained to her causing her to slowly nod, "But I can remember it." Francine frowned, "We're at the eye of the storm. The only ones who'll ever know. Oh, hello. You must be Mister Jones. We haven't actually met." The Master runs for the door just as Jack is coming in. "Whoa, big fella! You don't want to miss the party. Cuffs. So, what do we do with this one?" Jack asked as he pulled him over to us so he was standing in front. "We kill him." Clive snarled, "We execute him." Tish agrees with her father with a nod. "No, that's not the solution." Francine aims the pistol at the Master, "Oh, I think so. Because all those things, they still happened because of him. I saw them."

"Go on. Do it."

"Francine, you're better than him." Theta gets Francine to lower the gun and he hugs her, then hands her off to Martha. "You still haven't answered the question. What happens to me?" The Master asked with a glare, "You're my responsibility from now on. The only other Time Lord left in existence." Theta tried as Jack stepped up next to me. "Yeah, but you can't trust him." He spoke causing Theta to shake his head. "No. The only safe place for him is the Tardis." Theta tried to explain but I rolled my eyes. "You mean you're just going to keep me?" He scoffed, "Mmm. If that's what I have to do. It's time to change. Maybe I've been wandering for too long. Now I've got someone to care for." I scoffed with an eye roll just as Lucy shoots the Master. Theta catches him as he staggers back, "Put it down." Jack shouts at her as he snatches the gun from her. "There you go. I've got you. I've got you." He whispered as I moved to stand over them. "Always the women." He snipped looking towards me with a painful smirk.

"I didn't see her."

"Dying in your arms. Happy now?"

"You're not dying. Don't be stupid. It's only a bullet. Just regenerate."

"No."

"One little bullet. Come on."

"I guess you don't know me so well. I refuse."

"Regenerate. Just regenerate. Please. Please! Just regenerate. Come on." Theta rocked him gently, "And spend the rest of my life imprisoned with you? And her." He spat with venom causing me to roll my eyes. "You've got to. Come on. It can't end like this. You and me, all the things we've done. Axons. Remember the Axons? And the Daleks. We're the only three left. There's no one else. Regenerate!" Theta shouts holding him close, he laughed shooting me a look. "I miss the woman you were, so easy to hurt and kill." He growled towards me. "You're right. She was easier to kill." I spoke back with a dead look, I didn't have to strength in me to care anymore since I was now closer to the end of my pregnancy. "How about that. I win. Will it stop, Doctor? The drumming. Will it stop?" The Master dies, I watch with a blank look on my face over Theta's shoulder. I had a bad feeling that he wasn't dead, after all he never seemed to stay that way. "No!"

Somewhere, later, the Doctor lights the Master's funeral pyre then walks away.

"Time was, every single one of these people knew your name. Now they've all forgotten you." Martha spoke as she finally met up with us, "Good." Theta and I spoke together, "Back to work." Jack shrugged. "I really don't mind, though. Come with us." Theta offered with a small smile causing Jack to shake his head shooting me a look. "I had plenty of time to think that past year, the year that never was, and I kept thinking about that team of mine. Like you said, Doctor, responsibility."

"Defending the Earth. Can't argue with that." Theta takes Jack's hand and exposes the vortex manipulator on his wrist. "Hey, I need that." Jack grumbled looking shocked, "I can't have you walking around with a time travelling teleport. You could go anywhere, twice. The second time to apologise." Theta sonics the manipulator causing me to chuckle with a shake of my head. Jack winks at me as I give him a smile. "And what about me? Can you fix that? Will I ever be able to die?" Jack asked frowning serious, "Nothing I can do. You're an impossible thing, Jack." Theta shrugged.

"Been called that before. Sir. Ma'am, Kate. But I keep wondering. What about aging? Because I can't die but I keep getting older. The odd little grey hair, you know? What happens if I live for a million years?" He grew slightly excited at the thought though I knew he was scared. "I really don't know." Theta insisted, which was true and I could help but feel horrible about it because I didn't know either. "Okay, vanity. Sorry. Yeah, can't help it. Used to be a poster boy when I was a kid living on the Boeshane Peninsula. Tiny little place. I was the first one ever to be signed up for the Time Agency. They were so proud of me. The Face of Boe, they called me. Hmm. I'll see you." Jack head off towards Torchwood's secret entrance.

"No."

"It can't be."

"No. Definitely not. No. No." I burst out laughing as Theta turned an paused for a moment just staring at me. He then grabbed my waist and pulled me in for a deep kiss. It had definitely been a long year.

Theta and I watch Francine, Martha, Clive and Tish inside the house from across the street where the Tardis is parked, then go inside it. His spare hand is now attached to the base of the console and she is back to her beautiful self. Theta and I leave to change and a little later, Martha leaves the house, making a telephone call. "Yeah. Could you put me through? Hi, I'm looking for a Doctor Thomas Milligan."

"Yeah. Hello? Hello?" Martha hangs up.

"Right then, off we go. The open road. There is a burst of starfire right now over the coast of Meta Sigmafolio. Oh, the sky is like oil on water. Fancy a look? Or back in time. We could, I don't know, Charles the Second? Henry the Eighth. I know. What about Agatha Christie? I'd love to meet Agatha Christie. I bet she's brilliant." Theta laughed but Martha noticed her sad look, "Okay." He muttered himself as she shook her head, "I just can't." She paused watching us, we were sad of course but I understood. "Yeah." Theta pouted, "Spent all these years training to be a doctor. Now I've got people to look after. They saw half the planet slaughtered and they're devastated. I can't leave them." She uttered out glancing at the door, "Of course not. Thank you. Martha Jones, you saved the world."

"Yes, I did. I spent a lot of time with you thinking I was second best, but you know what? I am good. You going to be all right?" I nodded, pulling her into a tight hug. "Always. Yeah." Theta smiled in slight sadness but understanding. "Right then. Bye." Martha leaves, then goes back inside.

"Because the thing is, it's like my friend Vicky. She lived with this bloke, student housing, there were five of them all packed in, and this bloke was called Sean. And she loved him. She did. She completely adored him. Spent all day long talking about him." She explained causing my eyes to widen as I realized what she was trying to say.

"Is this going anywhere?" Theta asked causing me to smack him, "Yes. Because he never looked at her twice. I mean, he liked her, but that was it. And she wasted years pining after him. Years of her life. Because while he was around, she never looked at anyone else. And I told her, I always said to her, time and time again, I said, get out. So this is me, getting out. No hard feelings though, I don't want to step in between you two because your my bestfriend Kate but I need some time." I nodded with a understanding smile, I appreciated her truthfulness. She throws her mobile phone to him, "Keep that, because I'm not having you disappear. If that rings, when that rings, you'd better come running. Got it?"

"Got it."

"I'll see you again, mister. Miss."

Kate is now 1 year and 8 months pregnant, so we are almost there!! Can't wait for our little time baby to come in.

This one was a little different and short because it was mostly in Martha's point of view. Not to mention I'm not sure how to incorporate Kate into this one since I've had the Master kinda be more of a danger to her and she's pregnant.

Season Three is officially over!!

I have one more chapter for you guys and then I'm taking a break.

I'm also super hungover so I almost didn't post lol. Yesterday was my Mom's 36th birthday and Friday the 13th so we partied.

I'm so moving forward with this book. My main priority right now seems to be this one.

Thank you all for the love and support!!
