"Good morning world!' I got up from my bed and grabbed my phone 'Let's see, what happening today?' Hmm, an interesting battle you say? That's got my attention 'Is it from a different region too? My, what could get Galarians so hyped up?' I clicked on the video 'Oh, it...Ash vs Juan? Ash has a fanbase here?' I checked to see the account that posted the video ' "Iloveash", eh? How is Ash that popular? He has only traveled to three regions!' It seems like Ash is just as popular in the Pokémon universe, as in our 'Welp, since this is about Ash, I don't really care, it is not like Ash will know me somehow through Pokénet or TV.' I feel like I made a mistake in saying that. I took out my laptop and turned it on 'I feel too lazy to do research.' I grabbed Porygon Pokéball and released them 'Porygon?' I nodded. Porygon transferred itself into my laptop 'Welp, I'll check later, right now, I need some food.' I went to find a place to eat breakfast.
'I swear, this laptop sounds like it's about to blow.' Whatever gave me this laptop, couldn't they spare some change to get me a better one? I mean, a godly entity can send souls to other universes, yet can't afford a good laptop? Sounds quite cheap to me. I went over to my laptop "So, any fascinating information you found today?" Porygon opened Notepad "Yes, quite interesting groups I have dug up information on." Group? "What did you do?" Porygon opened a new tab "You see, I have done what many would call...hacking." I am not surprised "Why?" Porygon opened a new tab called...Aether Foundation...shit "I have deemed the Aether Foundation a threat to your safety, as they like to conduct research of being out of this world, mostly Ultra Beast as you know, but also Fallers." I did not...see this coming, this might be a problem "However, I do not believe you would even count as a Faller, as it was not an Ultra Wormhole that brought you here, to be careful however, I recommend if you ever see a member of the Aether Foundation, as they work globally, I advise to not approach them unless truly necessary." Thank god I was sent to Galar, I don't think I could evade the Aether Foundation's eyes if I was sent to Alola "There is also a second threat, one that cooperates with the Aether Foundation, a global police force, AKA, the International Police, if you somehow forgot who there were, just remember Looker." I sit straighter 'Things got real, it is no longer a normal Pokémon journey, one slip-up is all it takes before the Foundation has its eyes on me.'I took a look at the Aether Foundation website 'To study Ultra Wormholes and Ultra Beast to better humanity? Absolute bullshit.' The real worry now was which Lusamine was in charge. In the games or the anime, one is a lesser evil than the other "I have found a backdoor into their servers, it was quite simple using knowledge of 4chan users. I have compromised multiple high-ranking members of the Foundation, however, I did not want to risk hacking Lusamine as that would bring too much attention, Faba was fair game." Porygon opened up the Aether Foundation classified documents 'Welp, I guess there is no harm to look at it.'
'Quite a fascinating discovery." It seems like the Aether Foundation only has only contains Nihilego, other Ultra Beasts have only been sighted a few times 'They captured most of them when Ash was in Alola, so it makes sense that they don't have much information on other Ultra Beasts.' I took a look at the information on the document 'Some parts are right, but it mostly just blanks, as they don't really have any conclusive information.' I considered vandalizing the page, but decided against it 'How about Project Null.' I tried to search for it, but I was denied access by a passcode "Give me a sec...there. You should be fast, the page ejects you after 15 minutes. Only Lusamine and Faba can access the page for an indefinite amount of time, and very few workers are given access to this page, even then for a limited amount of time, overriding the system will alert the Aether Foundation. Use your time wisely, there is no second chance." I immediately started to search for information on Type: Null
'The Anti-UB fighting life-form...already know that. The cells have been taken from all known Pokémon types with the intention of giving them the ability to swap types depending on the memory.' I kept scrolling past the parts I knew 'Something is off, some information had been redacted.' I a moment's notice, Porygon unredacted the pieces of information 'Alright, they...dear god, this is beyond humane.' I knew what they did to the Type: Full, but I did not expect how...gruesome forcefully implanting and removing the memory disk was 'They should have stopped at Porygon, and yet they continued to create artificial life, one day, it is their hubris that leads to their downfall, the Future Paradox Pokémon are a testament to that.' I took a screenshot of the page and filed it away in the most secure part of my laptop " 1 Minute left, I have deleted all evidence that we were here in the first place, they have caught on, their Porygon has detected the back door we used, I have hid our IP, leave this page as soon as possible, they are getting too close for comfort." I left the page instantly "Terminating account...we have gone undetected by the Aether Foundation, I advise not doing that again, we have already raised enough suspicion that a second breach into their servers will cause them to notice." Well, that was one hell of a way to start a day, I nearly had whiplash from having a good day to being told that I might get kidnapped in the middle of the night "If you are wondering, I have downloaded all classified documents, from the study of Ultra Beasts to the violation of the rights of Pokémon." I see, I basically can now blackmail an entire institution "How many laws did they violate, including the Geneva Convention." Porygon took some time to process that request "1. Artificially creating Pokémon without express permission from the league, 2. The act of causing Pokémon unnecessary pain in any shape or form, 3. Using people as test subjects, Ex. Most fallers and the few people they give to Nihilego, 4. Terrorism, 5. Obstruction of justice, 6. Working with a criminal gang...the list goes on" I kinda expected that
"Porygon, did you also hack the International Police?" Porygon opened the International Police internal database 'Well, I hope this doesn't land me in jail.'
"Say, Porygon, how did you manage to hack the International Police?" Porygon opened up Bulbapedia "Turns out, they have lousy security measures, they just needed ID verification, which I just used an image from Bulbapedia." Huh, I wonder how people haven't found a way to hack into the International Police earlier 'Wait if the International Police was this easy to hack, how easy would it be to hack the Pladean League? I mean, Penny did manage to hack them without a Porygon.' I searched for a list of Ultra Wormhole incidents 'Normally I would try to find the list in the Aether Foundation archive, however, I got booted out.' I found a list of Ultra Wormhole incidents in Alola "Hmm, Porygon, this file is restricted access." Porygon overrides the file "All files related to Fallers are heavily restricted to even workers of Interpol (Yes I am too lazy to keep calling them the International Police, Interpol sounds better too) The document you are looking at is of Agent Anabel, a member of the battle frontier that fell into an Ultra Wormhole, I am sure you know her due to your encyclopedic knowledge of Pokémon." Indeed I do. I opened her page on Bulbapedia to cross-reference information 'Alright, let's see...she found on Poni Island by Nanu and Looker...already know that, is an amnesiac, used her to lure out Ultra...that is kinda unethical...' In conclusion, they didn't tell her that she fell from an Ultra Wormhole and used her to lure out Ultra Beasts, information I already have on Bulbapedia, however, there are some stuff never mentioned in the games, as Gamefreak wanted Pokémon to be child friendly, like I don't know, people dying in a gruesome manner 'Welp, I already checked every piece of Anabel page, what about I check other Fallers page?' I went to check the other Faller's page 'Nearly all of them are KIA...did they even receive proper training?' Porygon opened Notepad again "Nearly every singlefaller has died, only 13% make it through their first mission. Anabel and a few others were an exception, as they were professional trainers before having their memories wiped, others however, were simply your average citizen, some even came from worlds where Pokemon didn't exist, at all, like, there was no game, the mere concept of Pokémon never existed." Hmm, this now brings up an interesting question "Porygon, has there anyone from our world getting isakei'd to the Pokémon world." Porygon took some time to skim through the International Police documents "From searching the Interpol database, no, there has not been a single recorded instance of other people from our world falling through an Ultra Wormhole, while I may have not checked the Aether Foundation, I am quite certain that they also have not recorded any instance an anyone from our world too." So, no one from back on Earth is here...that is somewhat disturbing and relieving "I advise you to now g eat some food." Wait what? it's already lunch? I turned to look at the time '12 o'clock, I should be heading out to eat something.' I got off my chair and headed out to find somewhere to eat.
After eating my lunch I went back to my room 'Man, I read fanfiction about a dark Pokémon world, but the normal world of Pokémon is dark enough, it is simply lampshaded.' I sat on my chair "So, Porygon, got any new websites you want me to check?" Porygon opened a page for a company called "Marco Cosmos" I don't remember them being important to the plot of any game "If you do not know, they are a company that owns basically everything in Galar, they are on the request machine if you want to know." Oh, that "They are Samsung of Galar, a monopoly, now, you might be wondering why I am bringing them?" Yes, indeed I am "Well, turnsout, we are not the only ones who hacked the Aether foundation. They have stolen classified information of the making of Type: Null, and it seems like they are trying to make one themselves." Ohhhhh, that's where it came from, I just thought they smuggled it from Alola to Galar, this makes a lot more sense "So far, they have only gotten the concepts down, creating it will be in the somewhat near future of, by my estimation, two years." What a hell of a day, hacking into the world's most secure institution, the police, and now a monopoly, what's next, the government? "And that wraps things up, that is all the important information I found." Welp, I think it is time for a well deserved break "However I do have a question, why did you need to search what Alcremie tastes like." I shut off the laptop. Porygon appeared out of my laptop and glared at me before returning itself to its Pokéball 'Okay I deserved that.' I then proceeded to do nothing for a few minutes...the boredom somehow got to me right after I did something exhilarating. To stave off the boredom, I went to play good ol'Unite 'You know, I think it's time to change things up.' I unequipped Inteleon 'Alright now it's time to play Mewt-where the hell did he go.' I double-checked the roster 'No, no...this can't be! All the effort and time spent into grinding Mewtwo, all down the drain!' After lamenting about all the lost time spent making Mewtwo usable, I sorted my thoughts 'Okay, there is a reasonable explanation on why Mewtwo is not in the roster, the most likely explanation would be that the game creators here don't know Mewtwo exists, as Mewtwo was a top-secret project of team rocket, I would be quite worried if the world knew about Mewtwo existence, the second plausible explanation would be that the developers simply just hate Mewtwo. I suspect the latter, as some Pokemon are also missing, most noticeable are the Legendaries and Ultra Beasts, for reasons I suspect to be a covered-up by the League, or their presences haven't been known yet 'Well, if Mewtwo isn't playable, Chandelure would be the second best option.' I selected Chandelure and joined a match 'Hope I am not too rusty with Chandelure.'
'It wasn't that bad, I didn't get first or second, but fourth is good enough for me.' That was an understatement, I did shit, the only reason I wasn't dead last would be someone chose Duraludon. I played another two matches before I once again got bored 'Man, what other games do I have on this laptop?' I checked my folders 'What do we have here? A folder of random memes...not now, a folder of perfectly cut clips of Professor Oak getting beaten up by Pokémon...maybe later, Henry Stick- Oh, I don't remember downloading this, but I did hear that this game was good by my friends, let's try it out.
'I got trolled by the game, what did I expect, the route was too short to be a proper ending.' I decided to stop playing after a while, after all, even I have my limits on how long I can stare at a screen. I got up from my chair and took a look at the time '5 already?' I looked out the window 'Huh, I must have not noticed.' I grabbed my Pokéball and picked up my backpack 'Well, I've been here for a while, got sidetracked a bit, I think it's time to hit the road.' I put all my items into my backpack and cleaned up the room. I headed to Nurse Joy to check out, and after that, I went to grab a quick snack at a vending machine 'Ah yes, more Pokémon puns' I chose the M&M snack bar 'Eh, M&M stays the same, I thought... wait, that just shortened for Mr Mime snack bar.' I inserted my money into the machine before picking up the snack bar "Nom, nom, this ain't that bad, it kinda tastes like eating every flavor of gummy bears at once." After finishing eating the snack bar, I headed towards the Galar Mines, the second one. There is a good question to be made on why they didn't name it the Hulbury Mine or the Motostoke Mine, as previous games had mine named to the city, town, or landmark it was next to, but I guess Gamefreak just got lazy over time 'Here we go, to the second Galar Mine, just as thunder can't strike twice, I can't get lost twice, right?' I stood before the entrance to the mines and went in 'I think there is a Minecraft joke to be made.'
