I am back.

It been a while. I will keep this short and say that I lost interest in the story for a bit and I also help write one of my friends fan fiction.

It is called The Enigma

It is a RWBY x Sherlock Holmes fic, so check it out if that is your preference.

And last thing to announce is that I have changed the format, now my eyes don't develop cancer from reading my own writing!

I will continue using this format for every chapter after this. If you are wondering what will happen to previous chapters, nothing will change, that is until I get board and decide to rewrite them.

So yeah, I hope you enjoy the chapter!

Galar, Motostoke

A few days went by, nothing out of the ordinary happened.

One might think something of interest would have happened by now.

Turns out, the world is more boring than what many people, including me, expected.

It was the same routine of waking up, eating, doing something, eating, continuing said activity, eating, then going to sleep.

The city was quite bland, however, the food here was excellent.

They had a variety of culinary dishes from many parts of the world.

Besides the food, the people here were nicer too.

That is really all the good things I could say about this place.

Oh yeah, the internet here is also faster, which is kind of a low bar because everywhere has good internet, beside the Crown Tundra I think.

I can't really support this claim, as I can't confirm if the people on BattleNet who said so were actually from the tundra.

It also turns out that VPNs don't exist, probably due to safety issues and Porygon already filling that role.

Actually, why don't I try that later? I don't have anything else to do.

That said, this world version of Netflix is quite underwhelming, a lack of creativity I suppose.

On BattleNet, the only thing popular would be anything related to top tier battlers, which includes shipping sadly.

Heck, I even searched up fanfiction of these ships. Unfortunately, some are worse than ones back home.

I think my search history got ruined by these inquiries, if it already has not been.

I also forgot to mention, brain rot exists here too, stuff that would make Skibidi toilet look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Vines also in some form exist here, some of the videos are actually funny, it brings back nostalgia when memes were good and not random content.

Also, there is a certain hub that I do not dare search, but I am very certain that it does exist.

Then there are the memes.

As a fine connoisseur of what people consider funny on the online space, I give the rating of memes in this world as somewhat funny.

It goes from pure cringe to actually funny.

Sadly there is no meme that would land me in prison for violating every law in existence,, that is why I named the Breaking Bad and Family guy memes as confidential and placed it in a folder.

Seriously, I could end up on death row with the contents of said meme.

There is also this world version of Spotify, which includes banger music, from champion themes to regular battle themes.

If I ever get to the point I could get my own intro, I would probably just steal an OST from Touhou.

Native Faith or maybe Cirno perfect math class, perhaps even the Blue Reverberation theme from Library of Ruina.

Oh wait! Knight of nig-wait I am getting side tracked.

Amazon also exists here, but there is a slight difference.

Each region has their own version.

Galar has GoGalar, Kalos has KDS, Paldea has PaldeaNow…

You get the gist.

Funny enough, Orre does also have a delivery service.

The only problem is that it is not official. It is more like a black market, with all the shadow Pokémon, Megastones, Snag Machines…

I truly wonder how no one caught sight of these sellings.

Also, I did check up on team Cipher.

Turns out, they only get news coverage in Orre.

It is not too surprising, no normal person would search up any news related to Orre besides people from Orre.

On the topic of Orre, Team Snagem is mostly in hiding currently, from what I know.

So, if we put this in the timeline, the events of Colosseum would happen around or before when Ash was in Johto.

That also means that Wes by now is somewhat of a professional trainer, but I can't say for certain as most of his information does not exist, almost like it got wiped off the face of the planet.

The only thing that proves his existence is a single image of him that I had Porygon to scour through the Pokénet to find.

On that note, it seems like the events of XD have not yet happened, as I have not found anything related to Michael or Shadow Lugia.

I have also found the Pokémon Digital Assistant for sale. It is quite cheap compared to the Pokédex.

So on desperate occasions, I will consider buying this if I don't get a Pokédex.

I still don't understand why I didn't get provided with a Pokédex by whatever entity that sent me here.

Funny enough, you can also visit Orre for the low-low price of 15000 Poké dollars.

Yes, it is in fact quite cheap, I could even go there now, unfortunately, I am not looking to be mugged right now.

The Galar trip advisor said that you should definitely reconsider any form of travel to Orre. The Kalos trip advisor also said the same thing.

In the future though, I might consider going there, it would be a fun experience. I always like settings with lots of crime, sure, it might be dangerous, but it is less bland than what most settings Nintendo uses for the main Pokémon games.

You know what? I think I should stop using the Pokénet, I think I should go touch grass now.

Yeah, I should definitely go do something productive by now.

'I think this is enough items.'

I finished packing up my items and took my Pokéballs

'Welp, time to do some training.'

If I could not get my hands on a Dynamax band, the second best thing would be to overlevel my Pokémon to the point of instantly obliterating Kabu's Pokémon.

The third best thing would be to use Porygon to kamikaze his Centikorch.

'When was the last time I trained my Pokémon? It has to be a while by now.'

I continued walking until I reached the outskirts of Motostoke

'Alright, time to check which direction to head to the Wild Area.'

After doing some searches I headed to the Wild Area

'Do I even remember what moves they have? I should really note down their moves next time.'

I continue walking towards my destination.

'It is quite windy today.'

I have to hold on to my hat to make sure it does not fly off into the wind

'Time to release the mons."

I released my Pokémon

"Alright, you might be wondering why I brought you guys out today, and to answer that question, I am bringing you all to train, the reason for the training? We are definitely not prepared for Kabu."

They merely nodded in agreement

"Yes, as you saw from the footage I showed you yesterday, Kabu is a powerful gym leader. The difficulty spikes up by a lot after Nessa, so we can't be cocky here, there is a high chance that we will lose if we do not properly prepare for the battle."

I then pointed towards a Budew

"So we will be doing some actual training against wild Pokémon today! To start off first! I want Porygon to commit several war crimes against those Beedrills over there!"

Porygon looked at the Beedrills and then back at me

"Did I stutter?"

Porygon took one last look at me before charging into the Beedrill hive

'Welp, there are two possibilities, either Porygon gets obliterated the moment it enters the hive or Porygon wipes out an entire ecosystem.'

I turned to look at Carkol

"And you, Carkol, I need you to battle those Pokémon in the grass over there."

I heard sounds of thunder striking the ground right behind me

"And don't go overkill like Porygon, you are not at the same level as them, you will get overwhelmed, just pick one on one."

I then turned towards Drifloon next

"And lastly of all, you, Drifloon, I will be personally coaching you as you are the most inexperienced of the whole team."

Drifloon looked somewhat disappointed, but understood.

'It smells like…bee.'

I assume that Porygon was roasting the Beedrills, perhaps even burning them.

"Welp, let's start training!"

"Alright, from your stats and what I analysed from the last time the team trained, I believe you have good potential to be a good special attacker and uh…how should I phrase this without being racist? Self-sacrificer? I guess that term works."

I then pointed at a tree

"See that tree over there? Let us practise some moves on it."

From what I remember, Drifloon knows the basic moves and a pretty mastery over Hex, then we have Tailwind, a very weak version of it, but a Tailwind is a Tailwind, still quite useful in the end.

'How about we warm up with some Hexs in quick succession,"

Drifloon took some time charging up the attack before the tree was mostly destroyed

"Well, onto the next tree then."

Welp, at least the Hex is pretty good, the next step after Hex would obviously be learning Shadow Ball, or I could put that on hold and just buy a TM.

"Now! Onto something new. How about you practise…"

What should Drifloon practise? Cannot do Clear Smog effectively without status effects and definitely should not practise Self-Destruct, that move should only be learnt by TM.

What moves do Driflloon learn? I need to think…Hypnosis is good but there is no sentient being to use it on, I could make Drifloon attempt to use it on a wild Pokémon, but I think it would be best not to earn the eire Pokémon we can't handle and do it in a controlled environment instead.

I think any moves that could help Drifloon type coverage, or perhaps stall the battle would be great, but which would be best? Hmm…Will-O-Wisp, not bad.

"I have a good question, do you know anything about the popular fire type status move known as WIll-O-Wisp."

Driflloon took a moment to consider before shaking its head

'Well, that is a minor setback, perhaps if I show it a video of Will-O-Wisp'

I took out my phone before searching for the move

'There we go, that should be a good example.'

I showed the video to Drifloon

'This should be easy to follow, I don't understand the game sometimes, how is learning to create a literal ball of pure shadow with enough mass to actually harm a person is easier than learning how to stockpile power'

Drifllon turned towards the tree and concentrated

'With my luck, Drifloon would either master the move on the first attempt or fail miserably.'

After some time, dark flames started to surround the tree, before then hitting the tree from multiple direction

'Is there any burning?'

I walked closer to the still intact tree

There is a small fire that is still burning the tree, but it seems to be only doing superficial damage to the tree. Such an attack would not be powerful enough in anyform of battling.

"Welp, at least you got the basics of the move down, all there is left to do would be to continue practising."

'Dear god.'

The hive was completely demolished, with most of the Beedrills on the floor, mostly unconscious.

"Well, good news, you are already prepared for Kabu, bad news, we may have potentially committed a felony."

It might be best that I ignore the Beedrills. Cruel? Most likely. Do I care? Somewhat. Enough to accept being arrested? Not enough.

"It might be best if we relocate."

"It seems like you are improving, not bad."

Carkol was progressing on an average rate, so far no hiccups.

The attacks aren't the finest, but not the worst either.

"Continue the good work, Carkol."

The team training dynamic was strange, but not in a bad way. We have the insanely overpowered one, at least, for now. The mediocre one, just decent all around and the inexperienced, that will change soon though.

On the topic of team dynamics, the team was quite mild compared to Ash's team, or any other Self-insert characters teams, very anticlimactic that does not suffer from PTSD, anxiety, or any form of trauma.

To be honest, this is a blessing, I don't want to deal with a team full of trauma, we already have certified war criminal (Porygon would not hesitate to murder an Eevee if commanded), the over energetic and excitable one and the…balloon? I can't exactly pinpoint Drifloon personality, perhaps I need to bond more closely with him.

You know, it would be funny if Drifloon whole personality is based on just exploding, I could even make an Hindenburg joke or two, it would be even funnier if I trained Drifloon to just crash into the opp…wait a second, that actually sounds like a good idea.

Maybe later though, it would be more effective if I train Drifloon to do that when it is a Drifblim, the attack would be a lot more accurate to the source material.

'I should probably check on Porygon.'

"Huh, you did literally nothing after we relocated?"

Porygon nodded

Well then, since I can't be wasting valuable time to train, I should reassess my strategy for Porygon.

Porygon is a formidable adversary to face in battle, it is very likely that Porygon can keep up with Kabu's Pokemon, no doubt in that.

However, I could no longer use Porygon as an instant-win, it would be foolish to assume that Porygon could cheese through Kabu's gym. Unlike the two previous gyms, Porygon could not simply tank through the attacks, sure, Porygon could most likely tank through a G-max move, but then fall to either burn or Kabu's other Pokemons.

So, I could either use Porygon as my sweeper or as my tank.

As my sweeper, I could use Porygon to clean up what remains of the opponent, as by that point, they should be weaker by the previous battle. I could also bid my time until Porygon is powerful enough to sweep the opponent, but currently Porygon does not have the required moves.

As for defensive, I am given a lot more options and versatility, I can use Porygon to tank attacks and soft-check multiple threats. Porygon is just all around better defensive, as I could just send out Porygon whenever and just tank.

'I should definitely check out Smogon, it could give me some helpful advice.'

As I was thinking, a thought came to me

'Wait a second, Porygon is a Pokémon made of virtual code…that means that Porygon can't get tired by normal means…'

I continue this rabbit hole of thought

'Hmm, if we analyse this by logic, the mere act of Porygon floating defies the laws of physics, as Porygon just floats without doing anything. By the same logic, Porygon could just halt its momentum halfway during flight or falling, which is very useful to know.'

I had not realise the potential of Porygon until now

"Porygon, I think I have thought of something diabolical."

I returned Porygon back to its pokéball without warning

'This will be fun to strategise.'

Now, back to Drifloon.

Will-O-Wisp was getting along well, with just a bit more practise, I am certain that Drifloon can learn the move properly

There is not really much more for Drifloon to learn currently, perhaps I could strategise on how to make Drifloon an effective member of the team, everyone requires a use after all.

At its current stage, Drifloon is nothing more than canon fodder. However, after evolving or learning more moves, Drifloon could be quite a useful asset.

There is barely any strategy written on how to use Drifloon competitively, as it just sucks in general.

Drifblim on the other hand, has a small niche on tiers below PU as an electric terrain sweeper, fortunately for me, I am not only limited to an electric terrain sweeper as Pokemon can actually use more than four moves.

I could use Driblim as a terrain clearer with Defog, support with Tailwind and as a last resort, Destiny Bond.

I sorta feel guilty of always considering using Drifloon as a last resort, in which that last resort either ends up with Drifloon exploding or fainting first.

But what can I do? I have to make use of what I have. This is reality, not fiction(Hopefully not), I can't go around expecting to find an evil team and defeat them, then get awarded with Beldum or something, that is just not how it works for normal people that are not Ash.

(I have a feeling that statement will bite me in the ass in the future.)

Though still, I would rather prefer to have Pokémon that are at least in the UU tier.

I took out Drifloon's pokéball and returned it.

Now, onto Carkol.

'Nice work.'

Carkol did not disappoint.

He did what I asked, no more,no less.

He won a few fights, but steered clear of the more powerful Pokémon.

I returned Carkol into its pokéball.

'Time to head back now.'

Name:The Game Plan

The game plan against Kabu is not simple, this is the reason why I actually decided to spend my time making a plan.

Kabu's team

-Ninetales

-Arcanine

-Centiskorch (G-Max)

Strategy:

Now assuming if Kabu starts off with Ninetales, I should counter it with Drifloon to, one, give it experience in battling, two, Ninetales is going to faint, that is a statement.

After that, Kabu could either send Arcanine or Centiskorch.

If he sends out Arcanine, the first problem would be Intimidate, I don't really know how it works in real life though, all I know is that it lowers the opponent's attack stat.

Ninetale was not a threat as it faced off Drifloon, which would KO it no matter what, either by Aftermath or Destiny Bond.

Arcanine however, is a threat, as Drifloon is already down, so no self-sacrifice.

Arcanine is also quite speedy, a thing my team lacks in, which would be a massive problem.

The best counter to it would be Carkol, I would use Porygon, but I need it healthy for that Centiskorch.

This is an even matchup, Arcanine is obviously more powerful, however, Carkol has the type advantage and its ability, Steam Engine would put Kabu in quite a pickle, as he either has to choose between to use a fire type move or not.

To be honest, the only way I am winning this engagement is up to RNG, the hands of fate itself dictates the outcome.

If I win, we have a healthy Porygon. If I lose, I have a somewhat injured Porygon.

I could still win, but it would be a lot harder if I had an injured Porygon.

Now, if he sends out Centiskorch first, well, good news, we have a healthy Porygon to fight it, bad news, the fight with Arcanine is now purely RNG, there is no skill now, just pure luck.

The strategy would go like this, assuming if I get my hands on a Dynamax band, which is not likely, but, there is that small chance I get to meet Chairman Rose via that online music contest and beg him for a Dynamax band.

It would be to first get in potshots on Centiskorch on the first chance I can, then it would be to continue harassing it with Thunder.

I would prefer to use Tri-Attack for the STAB, but Porygon does not yet know the move yet. Though, I could just train for Porygon to get Tri-Attack before fighting Kabu.

After that, if we are lucky, I land a crit and Centiskorch goes down without much trouble, but that is just wishful thinking.

The more likely outcome is that Centiskorch Gigantamax, and then, once more assuming if i get a Dynamax band, continue the onslaught with Max Lightning until Centiskorchs falls.

Then, if Porygon has not yet fainted, attack and chip away Arcanine until either one of them faints.

And now, onto the more realistic and likely scenario of me not having a Dynamaxband, I would have to swap out the ordering of how I send out my Pokémon.

First, I would have to send out Porygon to deal with Ninetales, than Carkol for Arcanine and lastly, Drifloon for Cantiskorch.

I believe that this strategy could work if Kabu does not notice what I am attempting to do, which should be easier to do than actually pulling the move off in VGC, as I have not seen a single footage of Destiny Bond used in competitive battles here.

All there is to do is bait Centiskorch to attack, then time the usage of Destiny Bond, and win.

A simple plan, however, quite risky as it all relies on if Kabu notices or not, if he does, the entire plan goes down the drain, even worse is that he will know the strategy next time.

There is a replacement for Destiny Bond, one that might not KO the Centiskorch if it is not low enough, but far more reliable.

Explosion.

The only problem is how do I teach Drifloon these moves.

I might consider buying TMs soon.

(Page 1 out of 2)

Team dynamic

Porygon

Role: The Tank and current team Ace

Usage: Tank moves and dish back damage two fold.

Note:The main usage is just tanking, the other one would be doing the main damage (Currently as of writing)

Also, Porygon is indeed carrying this entire team so hard right now.

Carkol

Role: The lead

Usage: Start off with Carkol, knock out the opponent Pokémon, unless they are above Carkol power level, if so, return and replace with Porygon as the lead.

Note: I have none

Drifloon

Role: The sacrifice

Usage: Destiny Bond

Note:To be honest, this is the most useful way Drifloon can contribute to the team.

It is getting late now, it would be best if I head to sleep and continue progress on the plan tomorrow.
