Hello everyone! I was supposed to be editing the chapters in "Serene Isles" and "Ludwig's Empire", but I really wanted to remake an old story. Originally I was gonna remake "A New Family Remake", but I'll save that for another day. I think the original version of this story was posted somewhere between 2010 or 2012, but I've long since deleted it. Hopefully this version will be better. This takes place after my story "Ludwig's Wedding Redux" and this first chapter will be based off of the epilogue of that story. I hope you all enjoy this!

A month has passed since Ludwig and Jasmine have gotten married and the couple was even happier than before. Jasmine was still a little nervous about being queen, but Ludwig always helped her out. The citizens of the Koopa Kingdom loved their new queen already and how kind and helpful she was. Today, King Ludwig and Queen Jasmine were in the Great Hall having a meeting with Prince Sterling and Princess Krystal from Stardust Land and the Crystal Kingdom respectively. As the meeting went on, Princess Krystal glanced over at Jasmine and noticed that she wasn't looking too good.

"Jasmine? Are you alright?" Krystal asked, feeling concerned for her friend.

"I-I'm fine!" Jasmine replied and smiled at her.

"Are you sure?" Ludwig asked as he tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.

"Don't worry, honey. I'm fi-"

Then, Jasmine began to feel worse. She quickly stood up and covered her mouth.

"Sorry! I gotta go for a second!" Then, Jasmine rushed out of the Great Hall and made her way to the nearest bathroom.

Ludwig excused himself and left to find Jasmine. He made his way to the bathroom door and knocked on it gently.

"Sweetheart? Are you ok?" He asked. A few minutes later, Jasmine opened the door.

"I'm alright now." Ludwig stared at her.

"I think you should go lie down and rest for awhile. I can finish the meeting." Ludwig said.

"Really? But-"

"Please? I'll come check on you in a bit." Ludwig replied. Jasmine sighed.

"Alright." Ludwig gave her a kiss on her forehead and they went their separate ways.

That evening, Ludwig and Jasmine were getting ready to go to New York to have dinner with Jasmine's parents. As Jasmine brushed her hair, she began to get lost in her thoughts.

"I don't know what's wrong with me lately. At least I'm not feeling nauseous right now." She then noticed Ludwig walking into their room, already in his human disguise.

"Still so handsome!" Jasmine replied and giggled, making Ludwig blush.

"Are you ready?" He asked.

"Yep!" Jasmine replied. She took his hand and they left the castle.

"It's so nice to see you two again!" Kiara, Jasmine's mother said as she hugged Jasmine and Ludwig.

"We're happy to be here." Ludwig smiled.

"So, what's for dinner Mom?" Jasmine asked.

"Well, I know that Ludwig likes steak, so I made steak, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese." Kiara replied as she led them to the kitchen where Jasmine's father David and younger cousin Alvin were waiting.

"Everything smells delicious!" Ludwig said.

"Yeah, it do-" Jasmine stopped her sentence, feeling nauseous again.

"Jasmine? Are you ok?" David asked as he walked over to his daughter.

"I...I'm fi-" Jasmine ran to the bathroom and closed the door. Ludwig sighed as he heard Jasmine vomiting.

"I don't know what's wrong with her. She's been like this for a few weeks now." He said.

"Really?" David asked. Ludwig nodded and sighed again. Kiara began to think.

"Ludwig? Has she been acting different lately? Y'know, besides getting sick." Kiara asked. Ludwig began to think.

"Hmm. She has been a little moody and eating strange foods." He replied.

"Strange foods?" Kiara repeated.

"Yesterday she had tuna fish and chocolate milk." Ludwig replied. Alvin pretended to vomit, making the others roll their eyes. After thinking for a moment, Kiara smiled.

"I think I know what's wrong with her. You all can start eating. I'll be back in a bit."

Jasmine walked back into the kitchen, sat at the table next to Ludwig and grabbed a plate. As she put some food on it, she noticed that her mother wasn't there.

"Where did Mom go?" She asked. They then heard the front door open and close. Kiara then entered the kitchen carrying a bag.

"Um Jasmine? After dinner, I need you to take this." She said.

"Hm? Take what?" Jasmine asked. Kiara reached into the bag and pulled out a pregnancy test, making Ludwig's and Jasmine's eyes widen.

"I'll take it now! I don't wanna wait until after dinner!" Jasmine grinned and rushed over to her mom. She took the test and headed back to the bathroom.

"Jasmine? Pregnant? Why didn't I think of that reason before now!" Ludwig thought and smiled softly.

The others continued to eat as they waited for Jasmine to return. A few minutes later, Jasmine came back and rushed over to Ludwig. She hugged him tightly and kissed him, almost knocking him down to the floor. Seeing Jasmine act like that immediately made him know what the results were, but he still asked just to make sure.

"So, what was it?"

"I'm pregnant! We're having a baby!" Jasmine cheered and kissed Ludwig again. Ludwig smiled and kissed her back.

"We gotta finish eating and head back to the castle to tell everyone!" Jasmine said and began to eat quickly.

"Ok Jasmine, but slow down!" Ludwig chuckled as he finished his dinner.
