Season 1, Saga 1: New World, Chapter 1: Chaos Control Freaks
(We go to the castle of the Rainbow Kingdom where everyone is gathered in front of a tarped object with their king floating above it as a little girl with blue hair and a dark blue cat were in the crowd wondering what was under the tarp until their king started an announcement.)
"My loyal citizens, it is with my great honor that I, Rainbow King, introduce our new invention" (points his scepter at the invention as the guards pull the tarp off revealing it.) "the energy amplifier!" Rainbow King said
"An energy amplifier?" (turns to the dark blue cat.) "What do you think it will do, Bartleby?" the blue hair girl asked
"I'm not sure True, but whatever it does, it could help the Rainbow Kingdom." Bartleby said
(True then looked back at the energy amplifier worried about what it would do as Rainbow King started the amplifier up.)
"And now, to power this remarkable invention, you must have good thoughts, it is the only way to power it up." Rainbow King said
(the citizens then closed their eyes and began thinking of good thoughts as Bartleby did the same, but when True closed her eyes, she had a look of worry on her face as she was unable to think of any good thoughts, the energy amplifier then started to show sparks causing Rainbow King and the guards to back away from it.)
"W-what's happening!?" Rainbow King asked in fright
(the energy amplifier then began to glow causing the citizens and guards to run in fear while True was frozen in terror with Bartleby trying to pull her along.)
Bartleby: Come on, True! We have to go!
(but it was no use, True was unable to move as the entire area was covered in a white void, after it ended, True slowly opened her eyes from feeling someone nudge her awake until she saw a blue hedgehog kneeling close to her with a worried look.)
"Hey, you okay kid?" the blue hedgehog asked
"I-I think so." True said (tries to stand up only to fall with the blue hedgehog catching her.)
"Careful." (A truck honks its horn as it moves towards their direction. The hedgehog quickly picked True up into his arms and moves out of the way.) "Woaahhh!" (Another car honks its horn while moving towards them.) "Ugh!" the blue hedgehog yelped
(True and the hedgehog find themselves in the middle of an intersection with traffic continuously honking their horns at them. The hedgehog takes a moment to look around their whereabouts, realizing he and True are at a different location.)
"Where are we? What are they all staring at?" the blue hedgehog asked
"I think they're staring at us." True said
"What is this? Halloween?!" a truck driver asked
(A couple of police officers rushed to the scene.)
"So they can talk..." the blue hedgehog said
"What is that thing?" a police officer asked
"Looks like a big hedgehog." another police officer said
"A blue hedgehog? And who's the kid it's holding?" a police officer asked
"Don't know, but whatever it is, we better get it out of here. Hey, you two. Wanna ride with us down to the station?" another police officer asked
"Should I call for backup?" a police officer asked
"I have three kitty cats at home. I think I can handle this little fella." another police officer said (Imitates kissing sounds)
(Unimpressed, the blue hedgehog frowns, as True tilted her head a bit in confusion)
"Did you see that? That thing's got an attitude. A bad one." a police officer said
"Yeah? Well he won't get away from me!" (He tries to jump at the hedgehog but the hedgehog easily avoids him.) "Huh?" another police officer asked
"Why you little!" a police officer said
"Take it easy. I think we can handle this without getting rough." the Sergeant said
"Yeah, but sarge..." a police officer said
"Duffy, get behind him." the Sergeant said
"Right sarge." Duffy said
"Okay, now when I say the word, we're all going to jump into him at once. Alright then, is everyone ready? LET'S DO IT!" the Sergeant shouted
(The Sergeant and the police officers jump onto True and the hedgehog.)
"Okay sarge, I think I got its leg!" a third police officer said
"I got him 'round its neck, sarge!" a fourth police officer said
"Alright, let's pull him out at the count to three. One. Two. Three!" the Sergeant said
(The police officers realize that they grabbed onto one another and pulled each other around.)
"Whoaaa!" all the officers shouted
(The hedgehog shrugs watching their failed attempt while sitting on the roof of a nearby car as True was sitting next to him feeling bad for the police officers.)
"Mm." the blue hedgehog muttered
(Another police officer successfully nets the hedgehog.)
"Don't worry, sarge! I got him!" a fourth police officer said
(The hedgehog picks True up into his arms and runs through with all the other police officers grabbing onto him.)
"Woah!" all the officers shouted (They all found themselves stuffed into an arriving S.S.P.D. cruiser. The sergeant grabs the radio and sends out a dispatch.)
"Attention all units! Attention all units! A blue hedgehog carrying a blue haired girl is headed north on Central Street. Shut down all thoroughfares that lead into and out of Station Square, and set up a roadblock just before the on-ramp to 101!" the Sergeant said into the radio
(The scene changes to a quiet highway where a police car is driving through.)
"I've never seen a blue hedgehog before, or a kid with blue hair, have you?" a fifth police officer asked
(Chuckles) "It must've been one of those fancy sports cars from overseas. Hey, if we catch it, maybe the captain will let us drive it." a sixth police officer said
"I bet it has one of those cute little hood ornaments that looks like a hedgehog and a dashboard bobblehead." a fifth police officer said
(The two police officers look in surprise as the hedgehog is suddenly on the hood of their car with True still in his arms.)
"I don't know how I got here, but I've gotta find a way to get out. But I can't leave this kid by herself since she doesn't seem to be from here." the blue hedgehog said (looking down at True to see she was frightened.)
(the hedgehog holds True in his arms tight and takes off into the road ahead.)
"Hey, did you see... what I just saw?" a sixth police officer asked
"I think I did but I wish I didn't." a fifth police officer said
(A helicopter arrives flying above the highway.)
"They were in hot pursuit and it got away?! Can't those clowns even catch a hedgehog?!" the Delta 1 policeman asked
"There they are!" another Delta 1 policeman said
(The helicopter heads towards the highway and spots True and the hedgehog.)
"Visual contact. Subject's headed north on the Central Street extension. About a mile and a half from the entrance to 101." a Delta 1 policeman said
(Another part of the highway is encased with a massive roadblock full of S.S.P.D. cruisers, heavy construction vehicles, and barricades.)
"Roger, Delta 1. Unit 3, the subjects are headed your way. Repeat, the subjects are headed your way." the Intel policeman said
"Don't you worry. This hedgehog can't get under, around or through us. We'll stop him!" the Unit 3 policeman said
(The hedgehog approaches the roadblock and miraculously jumps high and far over the roadblock, clearing the entire collection of vehicles used to stop him before landing on the other side and speeding away. The Unit 3 officer sheepishly radios his command center.)
"Well, he didn't get under, around or through us." the Unit 3 policeman said (Chuckles)
"Ah, they're gonna love this down at headquarters." (via radio) "Ah, Delta 1 to base. I'm afraid that roadblock didn't work." a Delta 1 Policeman said
"No! Don't tell me he got through?!" the Intel policeman asked
"Okay." a Delta 1 policeman said
"Ugh, bad news." the Intel policeman said
(Chuckles) "Don't worry. I think we've got what it takes to round up our furry little friend. Speed Team, get ready to roll!" the team leader said
(The leader, along with other members of the Speed Team, walks along a long hallway leading to their cars that are undergoing minor maintenance.)
"What's the temperature of the road surface tonight?" the team leader asked
(A mechanic was working on the leader's Formula-One cruiser, and turned around to tell him.)
"It's about 70 degrees and dry as a bone." a mechanic said
"Light breeze from the west?" the team leader asked
"Almost nothing." a mechanic said
"Road, pitted or smooth?" the team leader asked
"Nice and smooth." a mechanic said
"Then, let's see... give me the 5 groove medium-soft." the team leader said
(Rolls wheel over) "Here you go." another mechanic said
(The mechanic drills the wheels into the car. It is now ready for Sam to use.)
"I programmed gears 5 and 6 to freeway speed." a pit crew member said
"Great." the team leader said
"Oh, and I built that secret fuel tank on your car just like you asked me to." a pit crew member said
"Good work." the team leader said
"Chief, they last spotted the subject at mile 79 on 101 North." Duffy said on the radio
"Roger. Alright team, let's move out!" the team leader said
(The S-Team makes their exit from the garage slowly before going out at fast speeds onto the highway, sirens blaring. The scene shifts to the hedgehog who is sitting on top of a lamp post with True hanging on tight to his arm.)
"The sky looks the same. So do the stars and the moon." the blue hedgehog said
"It does look the same." True said
(A flashback showing the beginning of the episode following the occurrence of the energy amplifier's malfunction is shown.)
"I guess Chaos Control must have sent us here." the blue hedgehog said
"Chaos Control?" True asked
"It's something that is from my home, but somehow it brought you here from your home as well. We've traveled through space. Did we travel through time too? Are we the only ones here?" (in thought: are all the others gone?) "Well, guess we'll find out soon enough!" the blue hedgehog said
(The hedgehog picks True back up into his arms and jumps off from the lamp post and discovers the arrival of the Speed Team. The team leader steps out of his car.)
"Hi there! You're a hard hog to keep up with." (the hedgehog begins to turn away.) "Hey, hold on! We don't get such fast company very often. In fact, I'm glad you showed up. This place is way too peaceful. Over the last 12 months, I've only made one arrest. Some joker got it into his head that he was a hot-shot driver. Had his own Formula-One car and everything. I guess he thought he'd give me a run for my money" (the hedgehog turns back slightly in curiosity) "but it was all over in a minute. It took me longer than that to suit up!" the team leader said
(The hedgehog turns, completely facing the team leader and smirks in amusement as True looks at the team leader in confusion.)
(Chuckles) "He never had a chance. Of course it's our own fault, this town's dull mainly because of us. You see, we're the high-speed pursuit unit, the S-Team, and I'm the leader of the team. They call me the 'Highway Star'. So even if you think you're the fastest thing around, think again!" the team leader said
(The two gasp and the hedgehog runs off with True hanging on tight as the other members of the S-Team begin to chase after them.)
(in thought: Run fast, hedgehog! I wanna be the one to catch you!) the team leader thought
"Ha, the S-Team eh? The 'S' must stand for 'slow-motion'." the blue hedgehog said (Chuckles before speeding up causing True scream a bit from it.)
"It's accelerating! Boost your rear-wing angle to 20 degrees!" an S-Team member said
"Roger." the other S-Team members said
(The driver presses a button, allowing the other S-Team members to catch up to the two.)
"Well, well, well! It's starting to look like the rush hour!" (The cars slowly close-in on the two.) "Oh no, how will we ever escape?" the blue hedgehog asked (Chuckles and jumps out of the spot with True holding on.)
"Where are they? Did I run them over?" another S-Team member asked
(The hedgehog lands on the side of his car and knocks at his car's window. The driver turns to look around as the hedgehog runs to another car. A driver suddenly sees True and the hedgehog's heads peeking on his windshield. The hedgehog is revealed to be standing on top of the car while True is on her arms and legs not wanting to fall.)
"Huh?! Hey, you! This is dangerous! It's irresponsible! What happens if kids start trying this?!" a third S-Team member asked
(To the viewers at home) "Kids, don't use Formula One race cars to chase hedgehogs" the blue hedgehog said
(The hedgehog picks True back up into his arms, dismounts off the car and takes off into the road.)
"You're not gonna treat the S-Team like chumps! We'll teach you a lesson! Boost all wings .5 degrees and let's get this guy!" a third S-Team member shouted
"Roger." the other S-Team members said
(The wing frames of the third member's car adjust themselves accordingly, allowing each member to move faster.)
"Full throttle! Huh?!" a third S-Team member exclaimed
(the member sees the hedgehog running backwards with a smirk on his face as True was frightened from the way he's running.)
"What the-?! How can-?! It's playing with us!" a third S-Team member said
"Where did this thing come from?!" a fourth S-Team member asked
"Chief, you gotta do something!" a third S-Team member said
"Playtime is now officially over! Attention all units, open the center line!" (The S-Team officers split to clear a path between them for the team leader to pass.) "I didn't think I have to do this but I have no choice. I will not have anybody, faster than me, on my highway!" (The team leader activates his Super Nitro, rocketing pass the other S-Team officers and the blue hedgehog, accelerating his car to well over 400 mph. Chuckles) "The only way he can beat me now is if he goes supersonic!" the team leader said
(The team leader chuckles, but at the corner of his sight, the hedgehog zooms right past him at supersonic speeds holding True tight in his arms who was scared, unleashing a sonic boom as he breaches the sound barrier and rockets down the highway.)
"A sonic boom! He's moving faster than the speed of sound!" the team leader shouted
(over radio) "Chief, you're running out of road!" another S-Team member said
(The team leader deploys three parachutes on his car and steps on the brake pedal hard while the hedgehog realizes that the road ahead of him is about to end. The hedgehog zooms right past the edge while passing by several wind turbines that accelerate with his speed. True and the hedgehog flies over the Station Square lights which, as a direct result of them, increase in brightness.)
"Maybe this place isn't so bad. At least I know somebody who I can have fun with!" the blue hedgehog said
"I'm not really used to this kind of thing." True said
"It's okay, you will at some point." the blue hedgehog said
(The team leader is then seen outside of his car staring out towards the hedgehog's direction. Meanwhile, the two realize that they are heading towards a large swimming pool of a large mansion.)
"Huh? A-a pool?!" (Nervous chuckle whilst looking at the camera) "Uh... oh." the blue hedgehog said nervously
"Is something wrong?" True asked
(The hedgehog attempted to run in order to redirect his route but it was of no use.)
"See ya!" the blue hedgehog said in panic
(The two fall into the pool causing a big splash. Inside a bedroom, a boy who was sleeping wakes up by the sound of the splash and goes to find out what happened. While True and the hedgehog tried their best to hold their breaths in the pool, the hedgehog attempts to jump out of the pool but fails. He then sees a ladder and tries to run there but the water drag completely nullifies his speed. Just when things seemed over for the two, the boy dives into the pool, holding his hand out for the two. True and the hedgehog take the opportunity and are rescued. True and the hedgehog coughed after they were out of the pool.)
"That was close! Are you two okay?" the boy asked
"Y-yeah, thank you." True said
"Ah, yeah. Thanks a lot!" the blue hedgehog said
"I didn't think you could talk." the boy said
"Well, I can do a lot of things." the blue hedgehog said
"Wow, that's awesome...th-that you can talk, I mean. My name's Christopher. Do you have a name?" Chris asked
"Yeah, I have a name. My name is Sonic the Hedgehog!" (Realizes something and turns to True.) "oh, I almost forgot, I never got your name." Sonic said
"I'm True, I don't know where I am, but I hope I'm able to get used to this world." True said
The three then looked up to the stars with hope as True wondered if her friends were okay.
