I, Taylor, and Bonesaw sat at our slightly damaged table. Bonesaw cheerfully chomped down on breakfast cereal, and Taylor stared at us.
Eventually, she sighed. "How are you going to convince me to let Bonesaw on our team? And, no, mind control isn't enough of an answer."
"It's a simple matter of utility," I explained. "You command biological beings, and my strength is partially based on my biology. Bonesaw's tinkering augments us heavily, as well as opens a door to the recruitment of other members."
Taylor almost didn't bite. "New members?"
"Plenty of people with powers that have negative side-effects that a biotinker could reduce. Thinker headaches, for example."
"Yep!" Bonesaw said through a half-full mouth. "I'm pretty good with Gemma and Coronas. Lots of practice."
"Then we have a bargaining chip that allows us to modify negative powers into positive ones. Damsel is dangerous even without her powers working well as an annihilator, a welcome member to our arsenal. I can even guarantee she does everything to the letter, thanks to my Master powers and whatnot."
"And examples of alterations for us?"
"Bonesaw?" I indicated for her to talk.
Bonesaw swallowed down her bite of food. "Oh, right! Pain gave me some ideas for you, I've been thinking about them overnight. You want nonlethal solutions, right? I could make wasps that produce paralytic venom, or pretty much any other venom you want. I know some really good necrotics. If either of you are willing to let me into your skulls, I might even be able to give you a tune-up, for your powers or anything else!"
"No, thank you," I politely declined. "I'd prefer to keep my brain to myself. Past that, if anyone could make a reproducible cure to... well, pretty much anything, I'd imagine it'd be her. This could be the chain of events that cures cancer, or whatever horrible disease decides to mutate into existence in the future."
That was the idea that broke through. Taylor sighed. "You're... right. Just curing cancer would do more for the world than we could ever do on our own, and altering ourselves wouldn't be the worst thing ever..."
Bonesaw's eyes had stars. "Thank you, big sis! I won't let you down. I'll Bonesaw you real good, if you want!"
Taylor's eye twitched.
"I'll need better equipment for that, though," Bonesaw frowned. "You don't have painkiller switches, so I'd need some anesthesia. Surgical gear, too. Some chemical compounds to create the paralytic venom, I can't make them produce it on their own without altering the genetic code of the wasp, you'd need to refill them manually unless I get a serious lab."
"What exactly would you need for an optimal lab?" I interjected. "Ironically due in part to my capture of you, I have plenty of money to throw around. If you get me a list of equipment, I can order it."
"Really?" Her eyes gleamed. "This is way better than with Jack! We always had to break into a hospital or something."
"Oh, by the way. I'm sorry for being so mysterious, Taylor. Dealing with The Nine felt very dangerous so I tried to keep everything a secret to prevent any possible data leads."
"It's fine," she sighed. "How did you know about them, anyway?"
"This is probably my biggest secret," I declared. The girls both leaned in, clearly interested. "While my Susanoo also came with my upgraded eyes, I unlocked an ability I believe is far superior: the ability to see, well, whatever I want to see. It is slowly blinding me, unfortunately, but now I've got some juicy details I really shouldn't know."
Taylor's eyes widened. "Really?"
I nodded. "I know Alexandria's real identity now, for one."
"Who is she?" Taylor asked curiously.
"Rebecca Costa-Brown."
"Huh," Taylor blinked. "That's… absurd. Probably crosses some legal limits. Wouldn't she be determining her own pay as Alexandria?"
"Uhh, I dunno who that is?" Bonesaw interrupted.
"Director of the PRT. Don't worry about it," I retrieved a pen and paper from my pocket and handed them to Bonesaw. "Here, write down what you want for a lab. I'll section off a few rooms for your work. We've got plenty of unused space down here. By the way, here's another trick I learned."
My hands blurred for a moment as I weaved the four hand seals I still needed to produce a Shadow Clone, and an identical copy of myself popped into existence.
"This is a Shadow Clone," I informed everyone. "An exact copy of me who will burst after receiving damage. Has access to most of my abilities, and more importantly returns the memories of everything it experienced to me when it pops."
"Really?" Bonesaw asked curiously. "How does that work?"
"Not sure. Anyway, this clone will perform the task of gathering the supplies you need. Convenient, eh?"
"Thank you, Mister Clone!" Bonesaw scribbled a long list of medical supplies, chemicals, and expensive-sounding medical devices and handed it to my Shadow Clone. Hopefully Tattletale can figure out the sourcing of most of that. There's some benefits to plenty of cash to pay for her services and a decent working relationship.
I'm surprised she hasn't called me about the Cherish situation. I left her frozen on a couch with a paralysis seal on her neck, unable to do anything but speak, along with a note for Alec. Maybe I'll get some details from my clone when he meets with her.
"And while that's happening, I have to get back to improving myself," I decided. "I barely survived my fight yesterday. I probably could have kept running after killing The Siberian, but I decided the risk was worth it. I wasn't expecting her fire to be so powerful."
I also think it's my fault for not scouting things out better. I did check to see if anyone was watching over Jack, and got nothing in return. My guess was that since Jack was the leader of the Nine, he was technically watching over everyone, not the other way around, and so my question was answered in a way that was technically correct but misinformed me. But in the end, no plan survives contact with the enemy. The only way to be certain of victory is to always have more tricks to pull out.
Two weeks of training wasn't enough to fundamentally change my level of power, even with Shadow Clones. At least not with the exercises I was doing. The solution I see: I need to use my powers to maximize my training's efficiency.
I want to see what I should focus my efforts on to make myself a more effective combatant.
A vision overtook me, and I felt my perspective shift. Suddenly my body was moving on it's own. It flashed through hand seals, molded chakra, and I moved. Suddenly, as soon as it had begun, the vision faded and I was back in my room.
I flashed the hand seals, molding the chakra just as I saw. I finished the jutsu and moved forward, moving faster than I could—
BANG! I bashed into the reinforced steel walls of the endbringer shelter with a BANG!, leaving a heavy dent and rebounding backward.
"Fuh…" I grumbled as I picked myself off the ground, nose bleeding. "I think I broke my nothe."
I left my training room to head to the section of the base Bonesaw picked out, intent on getting my nose restored. I would have made a Shadow Clone to work on Body Flicker while I got repaired, but I've discovered the only downside to more power. My chakra regeneration mostly stayed the same.
Still good, but not as amazing as a smaller reserve used to make it feel like. After a couple of complex Omoikane uses, I'm going to have to wait a while before popping out Shadow Clones.
"Hey Bonethaw," I greeted the girl who swung her legs and they hung off her new bed and scrolled through a laptop, both purchased by her assigned interior decorator Shadow Clone. "I was wondering if you could fix my nothe real quick?"
"Yep!" she grinned cheerfully, bouncing off the bed. "Sit down here." She gestured to her bed.
I did so. Bonesaw reached up to my face, grabbed my nose, and quickly tugged it back in place with a 'pop.'
"Hey, while I'm here, do you mind teaching me biology?" I asked. "I believe I can manipulate it pretty effectively with my power. Plus, I can memorize things as fast as you can show me them, and can have multiple clones reading through multiple papers or books at once to speed it up."
"Really?" Bonesaw grinned happily. "I've always wanted someone in my family who could work with meat! Biology Buddies!"
"Probably not to your extent," I admitted. "But I think it would be worthwhile to learn."
"I don't know if I'm much of a teacher," Bonesaw responded. "I kinda know it all already or learn it on my own."
I want to see a list of questions to ask Bonesaw designed to maximize the rate, quantity, and quality of information I receive for medical ninjutsu.
A roll of paper appeared in my hands, and suddenly unfurled. It continued to grow in size, an expansive list of questions that kept going until the scroll was long enough to cover most of the room. Huh. I didn't realize this would be this much of a commitment.
"Don't worry, I think I have a way around that."
Multiple Shadow Clones worked on my Body Flicker in the training room as Bonesaw explained in great detail how genetic degradation resulted in aging to a single clone, recording every word. Unfortunately that included her explanation of what happened when she artificially accelerated someone's aging to an absurd rate.
Bonesaw can just ramble and I'll pick up more information than actively studying under a biology professor. She enjoys being able to explain her art, and even if I don't understand whatever she says at the time, I remember it in the future when my knowledge expands.
I'm sure I'll master it by the time I get it down to one seal. Or dare I say, a half seal? Truly, Sharingan learning speed combined with Shadow Clones is incredible.
I spent a few more casts of Omoikane to learn basic medical ninjutsu.
Mystical Palm and Chakra Scapels are pure chakra control after forming the jutsu through hand seals. I can directly extend my chakra into and influence and interact with their body through it. The Mystical Palm invigorates cellular regeneration and Chakra Scalpels project incisions into the body. Easier said than done, unfortunately. I have the control needed for some basic Mystical Palming, but certainly not Chakra Scalpels.
The natural conclusion: I want to see a chakra control training regime that will allow me to become a chakra control master as fast as possible.
The PHO forum I scrolled morphed into a training regime webpage, complete with advertisements for 'totally not steroids.' The first step was waterfall walking, then balancing on a needle, then finally using a jutsu to turn a waterfall into a waterfall of water needles and then walk up that.
Sounds dangerous. Thankfully, I can offload the danger and effort, all while keeping my body rested. I'll get a group to master waterfall walking and another smaller group to work through the first stages of needle walking.
I want to see where the nearest waterfall suitable for my training is.
A red circle appeared on the map I pulled up, marking a nearby forest. I popped a Shadow Clone out and sent him to start training our control, as well as practice the Body Flicker by using it to shorten the trip to the waterfall.
With the threat of The Nine gone, I feel a lot more open to experimentation with new techniques. Now, I need to come up with some detection barriers and traps for my base. I may as well make some bigger bombs, while I'm at it.
So much to do and so few Shadow Clones to do it with. At least Chakra Control exercises aren't very costly, so I can have clones practice them for much longer than other jutsu. More of a headache for me, though.
"It's amazing!" Bonesaw squealed, twirling around a halfway-furnished medical room. "And this equipment is way better than the stuff I usually snatch!"
"Everything you need for now?" I asked. "I've got the rest of your list on the way, but it's a little harder to source things like MRI machines."
"For a bit of brain surgery and wasp alteration?" Bonesaw scoffed. "I could probably manage that with a rusty can. Though you'd get tetanus if I didn't disinfect it, and I can't cure tetanus with a rusty can."
"Tetanus: The worst thing about rusty can brain surgery," Taylor rolled her eyes. "You said you'd give me more details on how you can modify people, right?"
Bonesaw hopped up on an operating table, idly swinging her legs in the air. "Ok! I've already told you about the power tune-up. That's just adding some extra 'reinforcement' to your Potentia Corolla, which should only take a couple of minutes. I can't work on Gemmas very well, just transplant them. While I'm digging around in your skull, maybe I could make some other modifications?"
"Like what?" Taylor asked suspiciously.
"I figured out artificial neurons a little bit ago. It'll make sure you can't be mastered! Another one people like is the painkiller switch, it lets you turn off the ability to feel pain at will," Bonesaw turned to me with puppy dog eyes. "Can I please add a pain switch back into myself? A normal body is boring and I wanna do some people surgery, please?"
"After we finish with Taylor's appointment," I reminded her.
"Oh, right! So, does any of that sound good? If not, I'm really, realy open to ideas!" Bonesaw asked Taylor.
She considered it, then asked, "What exactly do artificial neurons… do differently?"
"Faster reaction speeds, faster processing, better coordination, resistance to powers that target human minds, and neurotoxin resistance." Bonesaw listed off. "Guarantees no neurodegenerative disease in your future, too! If you want, I can add a few extra wrinkles in your brain while I'm replicating it. That'll make you smarter!"
"I'm in," Taylor decided. "I'll take the pain switch, intelligence increase, power tune-up, and artificial neurons."
Bonesaw pumped her fist. "I can get the pain switch and tune-up done today, but you'll have to wait on the intelligence increase until I can cook up some more artificial neurons and get some better brain scans. Oh, and artificial neurons are pretty invasive 'cause I need to replace all of your nervous systems, so if you want any other surgeries while I'm at it, just let me know!"
Taylor took a deep breath and steadied herself. "Alright. I'm ready, then."
Bonesaw hopped off of the operating table, gesturing for Taylor to lie down. As Taylor climbed up, Bonesaw retrieved a step stool and placed it by the head of the operating table, standing up on it and giving Taylor a couple of knocks to the top of her skull.
"Ooh, hard-headed. Still shouldn't be much trouble to punch into."
Taylor shivered. "Please don't talk like that when I'm lying on an operating table."
"Alrighty!" Bonesaw plucked a spray bottle of a mysterious blue fluid, and spritzed Taylor in the face. She passed out.
"When did you make that?" I asked curiously.
"Last night. Now, nurse, please follow along!"
"Alright. Just make sure not to do anything she didn't want."
Bonesaw launched into an explanation of neurons and the mechanics behind her alterations, not that I know enough about neurology to understand half of what she was saying. Bonesaw grabbed a hammer and a nail, casually aligning the nail and swinging down. The nail punched into Taylor's skull, and Bonesaw pulled it back out, extracting small chunks of bone with tweezers and one hand and sealing blood vessels shut with the other.
"—and that's how I make an access hole. I don't think you should try my way, but I can teach you safer ones. Anyway, now that that's done, we can get onto the fun part!"
I want to see through Taylor's skull.
"This is the hard part, so let me concentrate, all right?" Bonesaw started to hum under her breath. "This is the optimization stage, where I rewire some stuff to free up room in the brain for other stuff. I'll optimize the sensory part brain while forming the pain switch and re-use the excess tissue to form the reinforcements on the Corona."
I simply watched a master surgeon at work, altering her brain with incredible dexterity through a tiny hole. Not a single mistake or pause, every movement made with purpose. The added benefit of seeing on the cellular level meant I got to watch each and every neuron she detached or reattached, slowly freeing up a clump of brain matter.
"Great!" Bonesaw finally spoke. "That went well. Now we go to the Corona!" She moved the detached bit of brain to the Corona Potentia, slowly integrating bits of brain matter into the Potentia in ways I didn't really understand. "And, that's it! Easy as pie! Now, you've been working on your healing magic, right? I wanna see it!"
I want to see how to heal Taylor's skull.
Oh, that's easy enough to copy. Bonesaw watched me closely as I flashed through hand seals, placed my hand on Taylor's head, and channeled my chakra into her skull. The nail hole slowly resealed, leaving Taylor's head as if Bonesaw had never touched it, though the flesh healed much easier than bone.
Bonesaw popped a small vial open and waved it under Taylor's nose. Her eyes blearily opened, then widened.
"I can't believe it," Taylor gasped.
"That good?" I asked curiously.
"Better." Taylor's smile was wide. "Every single bug. I can see and hear through every single bug. All at once."
"Glad to help!" Bonesaw smiled, then poked Taylor in the eye.
"OW! That… doesn't hurt anymore."
"Pretty intuitive, right?" Bonesaw nodded proudly. "Just gotta think about stopping it, and if the pain is bad enough, it'll just pop the 'fuse' automatically."
Taylor idly rubbed her slightly red eye, going quiet for a moment. "Sorry. Still getting used to all the input." She turned back to Bonesaw, and for the first time, she smiled at her. It was a slightly uncomfortable smile, but at least it was a smile. "Thank you, I appreciate your help."
"No problem!" Bonesaw preened. "If you think that's good, wait until we get to the advanced stuff! Soooo… Indra? You want some premier Bonesawing to your brain now? I'll get those wasps done later today."
"No, I'm still sensitive about the brain," I admitted, "I'm pretty sure since my powers are biological and I'm a precog blindspot, you could accidentally mess with something your Tinker brain doesn't comprehend. I'd love a pain switch, it would really help with my Susanoo, but I'll wait till I'm good enough to fix myself up."
"Aww," Bonesaw pouted.
"But," I quickly followed, "Since I'm here, how about you start studying me? The only thing I have planned for today is summoning as many Shadow Clones as I comfortably can and asking a few questions to my eyes." I whipped out a storage scroll, popping a fresh bowl of ramen out. "Regenerating my powers makes me hungry," I admitted.
"Ooh," Bonesaw's eyes gleamed. "Bioenergy! I haven't poked around in one of your kind in, like, forever!"
"Oh, and this is a bit of a longshot, but if I provided you with a genetic sequence of a heavy alteration of my DNA, would you be able to fully alter my genetics to match? While making sure it doesn't turn me into a pile of goo during the process, of course."
"What?" Taylor asked. "You're not fine with brain surgery, but you're fine with heavy genetic alteration?"
"Trust me on this one, Taylor. I've got some crazy ideas right now, but crazy in a really good way for us."
She nodded. "Ok, ok. I'm sorry, but do you mind if I go? I need a bit of time to get used to all the sensory information."
"Does it hurt?"
"No, not at all. It's just… new."
"I get that," I offered. "It took me a few weeks to really get used to how I move with my Sharingan active."
She smiled. "Thanks. I'll… go now, I guess."
"Bye," I waved as she left the room. I popped my favorite recliner out of another storage scroll, sitting down and leaning back in it.
Bonesaw hopped up on the arm of the chair, pulling out a flashlight. "Lemme see those red eyes. I wanna test your reflexes."
"You'll be impressed," I smiled. "And about the genetics thing?"
"I've been thinking about that," Bonesaw said, shining her tiny flashlight in my eyes. "Probably? I'd need some new equipment. Scratch that, I'd need to make some new equipment. Would take a few days to make all that, and then a few more to develop the process. And I'd need rats. AND MONKEYS!" Bonesaw cheered suddenly, startling me.
"Big fan of monkeys?" I asked curiously.
"Yep! They're great test subjects. Very expressive," she replied, immediately moving on. "But yeah, I've got some ideas. The easiest would be a advanced virus that thoroughly scrubs through your cells and fully adjusts their composition to match a matured version equivalent genetic expression, or something like that. Might cause some cancers if anything fails, so I'll give that sequence of yours some genetic hardening and better anti-cancer measures. Worst case scenario, I gotta fix some cancer. The process would last about a week until the change finishes and the kill switch for the virus starts kicking in, though I could probably reduce that if I got some monkeys to test on…" She looked up at me with pleading eyes.
I sighed. "Fine, I'll try and get you some monkeys."
"Yay! It'll be easy: just a bloodborne virus I'll inject into your veins. It'll be undetectable by your immune system and you'll be fully infected in a few hours. Dunno what the process will look like, I just know it'll work. Make sure not to bleed on people during the adjustment, unless you want to make some malformed clones. Would be neat to see, actually!"
"Please don't make malformed clones of me," I asked politely, "I'll ask a few questions to you and my eyes and then pop a Shadow Clone out to retrieve some test subjects for you. Feel free to study me in the meantime."
Bonesaw continued to investigate and I began to think.
I want to see the answer to the question: Will Bonesaw's genetic alterations allow me to safely and fully implement bloodline limits into myself?
"Yes," carved itself into the ground. Oh, yes. This is very interesting. That said,
I want to see how long the process of modifying my body will be after two weeks of experimentation with rat test subjects.
"5 days."
And now, the other question: I want to see how long the process of modifying my body will be after two weeks of experimentation with rat and monkey test subjects.
"2 days."
Damn. I'm sorry monkeys, but I will sacrifice you for the sake of progress. I'll make sure to have her modify the process to be painless before she tests on you.
"I'll get you the genetic sequence you need to modify me within two weeks," I told her. "Would that be enough time to let you develop the virus to a satisfactory state?"
"Oh, yes!" Bonesaw nodded excitedly. "This'll be an amazing project! I haven't had the time to do something this complex in a while!"
A few Shadow Clones I sent to train my chakra control returned their memories and chakra to me, returning in slow succession to minimize the fatigue of clone training. The side benefit of chakra control training kicked in, the low cost of the exercises allowing most of the chakra to return to me and refill my reserves.
Still, genetic alteration is dangerous stuff. Before I lose myself in ideas, I need to confine myself to a reasonable scope.
I want to see the most effective combination of bloodlines I can safely implement into myself through Bonesaw's genetic alteration method.
The visions came one after another, three in total.
The first was the most vivid. Bone ripped from my skin, sharpened ribs and serrated spine whipping out and tearing through the room.
The second found me staring into a mirror, and my reflection changed. Instead of looking like a Uchiha, my reflection stared back with red human eyes framed by red hair.
The third vision returned my reflection to my usual looks. My reflection's eyes changed, not the Sharingan, but to something different, with glowing red sclera and rectangular pupils.
I broke from my trance when Bonesaw whacked the top of my knee with a pipe, causing my leg to reflexively kick. My foot slammed into the operating table, knocking it over and warping the metal.
"Sorry!" Bonesaw giggled, "I couldn't resist!"

KillerBilliam (Original Poster):
I'm at a loss. We got S-class threat alert and then I didn't hear a god damn thing. I'm on Staten Island btw. New York forum is blocking any discussion of the incident so idk where to ask.
AllSeeingEye (The Gal in the Know):
You've come to the right place, not that you'd have much issue finding some answers if you were able to type the same question into a search engine.
The only public statement allowed to surface on the net right now is a PRT statement saying they'd give details today. People are still waiting, even though it's evening. They can't keep it hidden forever, too many people witnessed it.
KillerBilliam (Original Poster):
bullshit

Here we go, they're live!

Ghastly:
Evil fucking clones? And they got Legend? It should be Old York by now.
XxVoid_CowboyxX:
I FUCKING TOLD YOU ALL
I SAID ALEXANDRIA RAN THE ILLUMINATI
Bagrat (Veteran Member) (The Guy in the Know):
Did I hear that right? Because I just heard a public statement from the PRT admitting to the accusations of the triumvirate running an underground power distribution ring for the rich.
GstringGirl:
Void actually predicted it lol the post is here [LINK]
AllSeeingEye (The Gal in the Know):
Did you just fucking rickroll me?
Also the dam is loose on the internet blockade. TLDR: Giant cannibal monster who made evil clones of the people she ate or touched that act to destroy everything a person cares about. They got Legend, whose evil clones went around spreading mayhem to distract the PRT. TLDR, Legend clones revealed that the Triumvirate was involved in some shady shit, namely, distributing parahuman powers.
At least the Triumvirate are getting fucking fired lol. The people handing out powers in a jar are called "Cauldron" btw.
ShittingDicks:
Do you think they might be responsible for Case 53s? If they were testing on powers they were bound to have some experiments go wrong, even the mark on their bodies look like a 'C' kinda

Dragon was at an impasse. Caudron's activities should not be covered up, but they had their fingers in the right authorities. All it took was one formal decree from the right politician that she had to follow their "disaster recovery" plans, and suddenly she was required by law to cover up a major conspiracy.
She needed a way to work off this stress.

Ooh, that's spicyyy. Gets my gears turning for sure
I don't really get the daddy kink tho, where did that come from?

This is disgusting. The Simurgh is a monster. Just because she looks vaguely like a woman doesn't detract from that.

Agreed. While not technically against the rules, I ask that you refrain from portraying Endbringers in a positive light.

And omg ArmsmasterXDragon fic? I didn't think of it before but I totally see it now. Again, weird premise though. Why make Dragon an AI? And why does Colin have a magical toaster he can fuck her through?

It was very concerning that someone knew she was an AI, or perhaps just guessing. At least the smut was good. She could survive a bit longer with this powering her circuits.
She pulled up her neural-net image creator, beginning to generate erotic and diagram-accurate images of a fully cybernetically altered Armsmaster. God, those mechanical limbs really made her want to 'exchange' some 'data.'
I'm sure he's got time for a video call right now.
