ACID

"Hey Mina-chan?"

"Yeah, Kaminari-san?"

"We're dead."

Mina gave her partner a playful shove on the shoulder. "We'll be fine. You have electricity and I have acid. We'll be awesome at this!"

"You remember that laser thing from yesterday? Imagine that ripping this building apart."

Mina blanched, an impressive feat given her pink skin. "We're dead."

Footsteps echoed through the building, distant at first, but growing steadily louder as the seconds passed. Sparks crackled across Kaminari's skin as he quaked in terror, while acid dripped from Mina's trembling fingers.

Izuku walked into the room. Kaminari shrieked and said, "One billion volt indiscriminate shock!"

Electricity poured out of Kaminari, yet the high-voltage torrent passed harmlessly through Izuku and dissipated into the concrete at his feet. With a dopey expression on his face, Kaminari stumbled forward and stared woozily at Izuku.

Voice slurring, Kaminari said, "What are you looking at me funny for? I bet I could knock your lights out!"

Izuku didn't move as Kaminari threw a wobbling punch. His knuckles cracked when they slammed into Izuku's face.

Staring dumbly at his crooked fingers, Kaminari said, "Wow, I didn't know I could bend my fingers that way!"

All Might said over the intercom, "I believe we should count Kaminari-shonen as out. Medical bots, please take him to Recovery Girl."

Two robots ran in with a stretcher. One whacked Kaminari over the head with a rolling pin, and the other tried to catch him. Kaminari missed the stretcher entirely and hit the floor with a thump. The robots shrugged, loaded him onto the stretcher, and ran out the door.

Mina stood in front of the bomb and swallowed. "Any chance you could take it easy on me?"

Izuku cocked his head. "Of course. I will defeat you as swiftly as possible, so you don't have to struggle so much."

"Great…" Mina groaned. "Well then, acid attack!"

The moment the viscous glob of acid flew towards him, Izuku dove aside. Mina flung more and more, spattering the room with white sludge.

"Warning, caustic chemicals present, initiating escape plan Alpha."

Izuku turned around, sprinted straight through a concrete wall, and leapt out the window. Not believing her eyes, Mina ran up to the broken window and saw Izuku sprint straight through U.A.'s perimeter gate.

Mina leapt up and cheered. "Woohoo! Took out the strongest student in the class! How do you like them apples?"

A static hum and a sharp crackle made her turn around. A green lightsaber sawed a circle around the bomb. It fell through the floor. Mineta, holding a lightsaber, grinned and tapped the bomb with his free hand.

Katsuki, who hadn't taken his eyes off the fight for one moment, stared speculatively at the acid as it ate its way down to the foundations of the building. Then he burst out into maniacal cackling.

"Uh, All Might-sensei?" Sero said. "I think something's wrong with him."
