Alicia hums contentedly as she grips Ricardo's hand and walks down the beach, toes wiggling around in the warm sand. "Wanna spend the day here?" she wonders, dropping her hat down at her feet and turning to smile at Ricardo.

"Sure," he says agreeably, not caring as long as she's happy and they're together.

She beams at him and helps spread their towel out, setting two chairs side by side on top of it. "I'm so glad we decided to take a beach day," she says, spreading her legs out and humming as the sun starts to work its magic.

"I am too," Ricardo says quietly, sitting down next to her on the towel, forgoing his own chair just to be closer to her. "I love our friends and everything, but sometimes it feels like we barely get a minute to ourselves." She giggles a little and leans into him, melting even further into his warmth when he holds her close, kissing her shoulder.

"Yeah," she hums. "I know what you mean. They're great, yeah, but we're always so busy, between training and fashion and whatever else." Tangling her fingers in with his, she lifts his hand and kisses his knuckles. "I adore it whenever we get a couple minutes to ourselves like this."

"Me too." He kisses her, humming softly as she rubs her toes up and down his calves. "Wanna go swimming?"

"Yes, please," she says, eyes gleaming. He surprises her, getting to his feet quickly and scooping her up out of her chair, racing towards the ocean. "Ah! Ricardo! No, I didn't mean-" Too late, they're deep in the surf and he's laughing as she sputters and kicks sand and water at him, swimming towards him and dunking him under the glistening waves.

He flails a little, still sputtering and laughing once he breeches the surface once more, and she huffs at him. "Sorry," he singsongs and she scowls, looking away from him. "Please? Alicia?"

He swims closer to her and she suddenly strikes, sweeping his legs out from under him and sending him crashing into the water, gasping and shaking his long hair wildly as soon as he regains his equilibrium once more. "Sorry," she mimics him and he shakes his head, ducking back underwater. "Ricardo, don't you dare!" she calls out, looking around as he doesn't reappear. "Ricardo?" Doubt starts to fill her mind as more time ticks by. "Ricardo!"

She's about to dive under and find him, save him, when something grips her ankle and tugs her under. She glares at Ricardo before swimming towards him, his eyes widening as he turns and reverts course, desperate to get away from her. But she's fast, and she catches him, tackling him into the sand, hands on her hips as he tries once more to right himself. Once he manages, he reaches out for her and she rolls her eyes, gripping his wrist to help him up- just to find herself getting pulled into him, where he kisses her for as long as he dares considering how long they've been holding their breath, then gripping her wrist and pulling her up for some badly needed oxygen.

Walking lazily side by side back to their chairs, she rests her head on his shoulder and hums, eyes closed. "Remind me to never trust you around the ocean again."

He laughs. "Me?! What about you, pretty sure I'm never going to get this sand all washed off."

She smirks up at him. "I'll help," she promises. Some of his complaining drifts away and he kisses her again. "I love you," she breathes out against his lips.

"I love you too," he says, guiding her around the cluster of people to their area. It's a beautiful day, comfortable and relaxing, and he watches as she reapplies sunscreen, handing the tube over to him once she's done. He smiles at her and starts working it into his own skin, feeling more and more overwhelmed with just how much he does love her, the feelings solidifying every morning he wakes up next to her and watches her slowly stir, opening her eyes to find him next to her, so much happiness and love there just for him.

Things hadn't been easy just to get here, and he has no doubt they'll have more issues in the future, that's just standard for most marriages, but he's pretty sure they'll be able to weather all of them together and come out just fine on the other side.
