Before I start this, I feel I should correct something for those that might have misread what I put in my notes at the beginning of the first chapter. Remember when I wrote the words "It's Free"? There was a good chance that you guys might have gotten the wrong idea. The DLC is free. The game itself is around 25 dollars. I wanted to clarify that just in case and I'm sorry to those who might have thought it.
Tsukumo returned home, still surprised by what she saw. Her parents called and they came to pick her up. She didn't tell them about the cat creature that saved her because she was unsure if what she saw was real. The kidnappers survived the crash but they were hurt. Tsuskmo sighed as she heard her phone buzz and saw a few messages from her friends. They mostly asked if she was okay and if she wanted them to come over.
She would reply that she was fine and still wanted to be left alone. She leads back on her couch, having her head reached out to...she stopped, looking to where she was about to touch. The empty spot that Kuon would lay on, where she would cheer her up the minute she saw her. Tsuskmo sighs, trying her best not to start crying. She had no idea that her reborn cat was watching her in a tree nearby.
"Tsukumo..." She said, still watching her owner.
The next day,
Tsukumo exited her shower, drying her hair off. She walked past her TV that was showing the news and there was an event going on.
"The mysterious Shark Attacks have continued after three days of the last hunt. No one knows what's going on or why the attacks are happening. The state has issued a warning to those at the beach to stay clear of deep water and are going to close down the beaches until the attacks have stopped."
Tsukumo sighs. She was glad that she decided not to make any beach trips today. Learning that Shark Attacks were happening made her a bit scared. She was very glad that her parents didn't choose a beach house. She headed to her room. After putting on new clothes, she started to get ready for the day. She started to reach for the cat food...
She stopped, having to remind herself that Kuon was gone. She did wait like she said would, but after 9 days, Kuon didn't return. Some of her first did suggest getting a new cat, but Tsuskmo turned it down. She pours the cat food into the bowl before walking away. While she was gone, Kuon snuck in, seeing the food that her owner would buy her. She recalls that it was healthy for her. As well as expensive. She would remember that she was fussy about her food and still ate it. She walked over before bending down and eating it.
When Tsukumo returned to the kitchen a few minutes later, she was shocked to see that the cat bowl was empty and just missed seeing a tail going out the window.
Later,
Tsukumo could hardly believe what her friends dragged her to. Tsurimu was a girl who was the opposite of her. She was never known to take care of her pets. Her last pet was a rabbit named Alice. Tsuskmo never liked her. There was a reason she never let her near Kuon whenever she forced herself to come over.
"Well, hello, Tsu." She said, walking up.
"Tsurmiu," Tsuskmo said, crossing her arms.
"Still crying over that stupid cat?" Tsurimu asked, looking a bit sumg.
Tsukumo glares at the other girl.
"Kuon was more than a cat, Tsurmiu. She was my best friend!" She said.
"Please, they're just animals. They don't even listen to anything." Tsurimu said, scoffing.
"What do you know?! You always mistreat the pets you're given! Did you ever stop to think about what would if people had enough of you mistreating your pets and decided to cut you out of their lives?" Tsukumo shouted.
"Said the girl that refuses to move on!" Tsurmiu shouted back.
"Okay, you two, that's enough," Marcus said, walking up.
"Way are you defending this no-body?!" Tsurmiu asked him.
"Because unlike you, I care about Tsu's feelings!" He told her.
"Please, you have been trying to win over cat-girl here for years! You only care about her because you want her!" Tsurmiu said.
"At least I'm not making fun of her cat! I may have never met it, but I can tell that its passing means a lot to her. " Marcus said, glaring at her.
Tsurmiu just scoffs before walking away Marcus sighs before turning to Tsukumo.
"Don't let her get to you. She forgets that we're part of the animal kingdom too." He told her.
Tsukumo sighs. While she didn't like Marcus that much, she was happy that he understood her feelings more.
"Thanks, Marcus." She said, smiling.
"Anytime." He said, partly hoping he was going to get a kiss.
But he understood that was not the best time to ask her for one.
"So? Are you doing okay? I saw you get kidnapped yesterday." He asked.
"I'm fine." She said.
"Sorry, I couldn't help you. By the time saw them, they were already pulling you into a van and the only thing I could do was call 911." Marcus said.
"It's okay, Marcus. It was my fault for not paying attention." Tsukumo said, sighing.
"Tsu..." He started.
"I was too upset to notice that someone would kidnap me. I guess I'm just..." She started.
"Don't you start that again!" Marcus shouted, shocking her.
"You need to stop being so hard on yourself. Tsukumo, I know that you don't have high self-confidence about yourself, but you really need to stop putting yourself down. I'm not trying to win your heart because I'm in love with you, but because I'm tired of you seeing you put yourself down. You just stood up to Tsurmiu to defend your cat." He told her.
"But..." Tsukumo started.
"Come on, Tsu. Do you really think that your cat would like seeing you like this?" He added.
Tsukumo looked at him, surprised.
"I know I said that I never met it, but from what I heard, you care about the cat very much to defend it," Marcus said.
"Her. Kuon is a female cat," Tsukumo told him.
"Sorry," Marcus said, hoping he didn't offend her cat.
Tsukumo giggles. Neither of them noticed that Kuon was still close by, listening to everything that was said. She gained a smile, glad to know that the boy wasn't trying to make a move on her owner. She remained in the shadows, hoping nothing would happen to her owner.
Little did Kuon know, she wasn't the only reborn pet that was watching her owner. Hiding in a brush, was a strange rabbit, also watching.
"How dare she! I'll teach her that her love for me is stronger! And then she will pet me again!" She said, pulling herself deep into the brush.
Okay, I thought I made this longer, but I guess it will have to do. So as you can see, Kuon is remaining close to her owner, always watching over her. I even mention two of the bosses from the game. There are eight bosses in total. The first four are fought in the first chapter. And you can fight them in any order. The same is said for the second group of bosses in the second chapter.
The bosses that you fight and that are going to show up in this story are Galvestone, a shark that was killed after eating many humans. Alice, a rabbit that died and also wishes to be returned to her owner but has a twisted idea of her owner's love. Hint the girl I made. Stuart, a lyrebird who doesn't wish to return to the mortal world because he's drunk on his own power. And finally, Moenna, a lizard. She's the only boss in the game that you can spare when you meet her because she never attacks you. You will have to beat her a least once, however.
I would like again to apologize to anyone who misread what I said in the first chapter. It was the DLC that was free, not the game.
