HUGS

A crowd of heroes watched as Shoto Todoroki carted a giant block of ice with Stain frozen inside, using a metal wheelbarrow with green hair and green eyes.

"Hello everyone," Izuku said. "I am a wheelbarrow now."

Gran Torino waddled forward with a dopey expression on his face and prodded the Stain ice sculpture with his cane. "Eh, did my taiyaki delivery come early?"

Shoto blinked at the elderly hero. "This isn't taiyaki."

Gran Torino kicked the wheelbarrow in the wheel. "And I didn't order any of this crap!"

"Understood," Izuku said. "Reverting back to standard humanoid model."

The wheelbarrow grew a mouth and bit into the wheel. As Izuku chewed his way through the chassis of the wheelbarrow, arms, legs, and a torso sprouted behind his mouth.

"What happened to staying in my sight?" Gran Torino groused while Izuku calibrated his freshly-formed limbs.

"Was I not within your sight at all times?"

"Kid, you ran off the moment I turned my back! Of course you weren't!"

"Really? All Might told me that you knew everything that he did, even if he was not in the room. I assumed that you had some form of omniscience or far-seeing Quirk, like Todoroki has both ice and fire Quirks, the Nomu at the USJ had regeneration and shock absorption, and the unidentified person flying straight towards us has both flying and stealth Quirks."

Before the heroes could register what Izuku had said, a large black shape swooped down from the night sky. It snatched up Izuku and beat its powerful wings, taking off before the heroes could react.

Well, at least it tried to.

Straining mightily, the Nomu beat its wings while trying to lift Izuku off the ground. Izuku's heels barely came off the ground despite all the wind kicked up.

"Are you trying to give me a hug?" Izuku asked the nightmarish monstrosity. "This is a highly inefficient way of giving a hug. You are kicking up too much wind, and your arms have not wrapped around my shoulders. Shall I demonstrate how to give a proper hug?"

The Nomu roared at him and kept beating its wings.

"Excellent! First step, wrap your arms all the way around their shoulders."

Izuku's arms extended out and wrapped around the Nomu, pinning its wings in place. It struggled, but it could not break Izuku's iron grip.

"And then, you firmly hold them."

With the droning whine of a thousand hydraulic presses, Izuku's arms squeezed down. The Nomu wriggled and clawed at Izuku, but the arms never budged. As Izuku's grip tightened, the wings snapped, bones crunched, and the Nomu bent backwards. The Nomu gave a silent shriek as Izuku squeezed it to pulp.

When Izuku let go, the Nomu flopped lifelessly to the ground. The heroes watching in a circle gaped at the broken Nomu. "Hug complete," Izuku said. "Do you feel a sense of warmth and companionship?"

The Nomu gave no reply.
