It's a quiet night at home, Alicia and Ricardo settled in on the couch, watching something on TV- they're not even sure what the title is, as they lay curled around their son, listening to him breathing, Sofia's soft humming from the other room as she washes dishes and prepares for the next day's meal plans.

Then Alicia's phone rings and she slowly retracts herself from Ricardo, who groans softly at the coldness creeping down his skin with her movement. He stops, however, when he takes in the look on her face. "This is... incredible, may I take a little bit of time and think about it? Please?" The person on the other end is clearly not pleased and she grimaces, mururing apologizes almost until they hang up. "So what was that?" Ricardo asks once she tucks up close to him again.

Alciia remains silent for a long few moments, starig at the TV with wide, awed eyes. "What would you say if I said that that phone call was WWE inviting me to compete in the women's Royal Rumble?"

Time ticks to a stop. "Excuse me?"

Alicia repeats himself and Ricardo exhales, overwhelmed just by how Alicia had described it. "So I mean..." He exhales shakily, unsure how to address this. "Do you really want to take them up on it? I mean, they have to know that you haven't wrestled in a very, very long time. I won't have time to help you train that much before hand."

"Not yet," Alicia hedges. "But I... would you hate me much if I said I'm kind of considering it? It's been so long since I saw any of them, and Legends Night was a lot of fun." She stares at his face and tries to smile. "Besides, a few days is enough time to at least shake a little of the rust off. Right?"

He knows immediately he's lost any chance of properly arguing this out with her and having any real chance at changing her mind. "Fine," he sighs. "Let me try to set something up so we can work out some of your ring rust."

She beams and throws her arms around him. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

"Yeah, yeah," he grimaces, hugging her back. She's happy, which would usually make him happy, but he can't help worrying anyway.

He finds a spare ring at a training center not far from their home, the guy unlocks the gym for them and lets them in as soon as they promise it'll just be the two of them, and they immediately get to work. She's in good enough shape, keeping up with fitness and the like during her pregnancy, and it really only falls on working out a couple of small hangups she's gained as her muscle memory faded. Once she can kick like before, nearly dropping Ricardo so quickly he hadn't seen it coming, and he approves of her technique in general, they stop. Lay in the middle of the ring and stare up at the lights.

"That was so much fun," she breathes in deeply, rolling over to look down at him.

He beams up at her. "You've always been a fast learner," he says fondly, brushing his fingers through her hair.

She hums. Leans in and rests her forehead against his. "Let's get out of here so we can take these masks off and I can kiss you," she says quietly.

"Hell yeah," he says, suddenly up and at them with such speed that she has to giggle at him.

Come Sunday, she's gone. In Florida, waiting her turn. When it comes, she barely makes it to the ring before R-Truth for whatever reason chases her down, followed by a group of other wrestlers. In the end, Alicia takes an opportunity and ends up with the 24/7 title. It doesn't last, Truth wins it back within minutes, but still. For a brief, hilariously ridiculous minute, she had been champion, Ricardo staring at the screen with wide eyes while holding Andre towards the screen. "There's your mama," he tells the baby in awe.

Andre waves his fists and drops his head back against Ricardo's arm and Ricardo's heart skips a beat in adoration- for the beautiful, bright woman on the TV who's his wife, and for the baby in his arms who ever day shows what a stubborn, incredible spirit he's going to have once he gets old enough to properly communicate his thoughts and desires. "I can't wait," Ricardo mumbles, pressing a gentle kiss to the little boy's nose.

Settling him back down in his lap, Ricardo turns his attention back to the TV and watches as Alicia joins the other wrestlers in chasing down Truth, the Rumble all but forgotten as she chases the belt she'd already lost. "Amazing," he mumbles with a chuckle.

It's almost worth the two weeks quarantine that will inevitably have to follow.
