AJ tilts her head and examines Alicia. "You look excited," she observes. "What's going on?"
Alicia smiles and glances around. "Well, Ricardo's at the main house talking to Mike, so I felt like it was time for me to talk to you."
"Yeah. What's up with that?" AJ wonders, glancing back towards the house. "I mean, I'm always happy to hang out with you, you know that, but..."
"Well, first things first," Alicia says softly. "Ricardo and I've decided it's time to move out."
AJ frowns. "Wait, why? Is something wrong?"
"No, not at all," Alicia tells her. "Everything's great, but right now it looks like Ricardo won't be going back to Egypt any time soon, so we're going to find a place of our own. Get out of your hair, you know."
"You haven't been in our hair," AJ refutes her. "We like having you here. It's been being able to visit sometimes when Mike isn't home."
Alicia smiles a little. "Well, honestly, we need a little more space."
"Why?" AJ wonders. "Is everything ok with Ricardo's family? His sister...?"
"Oh, yeah, everything's fine, she and the kids are great. It's just, um. Our family is expanding." Alicia examines AJ's face as realization dawns on her and she smiles sweetly. "i'm pregnant," she murmurs.
"Oh my god," AJ breathes out, grabbing her hands and squeezing them gently. "Really? I'm so happy for you. Andre's going to be such a good big brother, he's such a sweet little guy."
"I hope so," Alicia laughs tearfully. "They're going to be so close to each other in age. I hope they get along well."
"I'm sure they'll be best friends," AJ tells her tenderly. "I know Sara and George are already really close."
"Yeah, your kids are pretty great." Alicia chuckles, looking down. "You, uh, you're not mad at me, are you?"
"Why would I be mad at you?" AJ wonders.
"Well, you said you liked having me here and we could raise the kids together and everything, but now, I... I'm leaving. I don't want you to think I'm abandoning you or something."
"Not at all," AJ tells her. "I've adored having you, Ricardo, and Andre here, but I absolutely understand why you want a place of your own. It's not like living here is great anyway, Mike's always so busy and needs various parts of the house for filming. You're gonna want somewhere relaxing during your pregnancy, so I definitely get it." AJ strokes Alicia's hand and smiles at her. "So are you going to join me and Maryse with calling it quits at 2, or are you and Ricardo planning on more?"
"We kind of talked about it," Alicia admits. "We both want more, as long as everything goes well with this pregnancy. I want as many as I can have. I love kids, and Andre's such a beautiful little boy."
AJ smiles at her. "Well, I'm happy for you two. I can't wait to be Aunty AJ and spoil all of the kids you and Ricardo will have in the future."
Alicia smiles at her. "They'll adore you. They really will."
AJ grins and reaches out for her, hugging her. "Feeling will be mutual," she promises her. "Now what do you say we get some food and spend the rest of the day watching guilty pleasure TV and being lazy until our husbands decide to come find us?"
Alicia chuckles and wipes at her eyes. "Sounds perfect," she says. "Let's go do that."
AJ smiles at her as they head side by side to the kitchen, giggling and talking quietly about the future, and all they have to look forward to.
