The house feels strange without Ricardo. It's quiet and oddly empty, despite Sofia and little Andre always under foot. Alicia sighs and curls up on the couch, closing her eyes and simply listening. She never thought she'd miss the sound of hockey, or football. But it'd definitely be a noise she'd welcome right now.

She half-dozes until Sofia ventures in, brushing some of the hair out of Alicia's eyes. "Are you ok?" she whispers.

Alicia hums. "Yeah, I'm ok," she sighs, stretching. "Just kinda sleepy, I guess." She squints up at Sofia. "Where's Andre?"

"Nap time seems to be going around," Sofia says with a small, fond smile. "He's been down about fifteen minutes now."

"Good," she murmurs. "His sleep schedule's been messed up since Ricardo left. I guess he misses his bedtime story. I can't do the voices like Ricardo can." She groans as she sits up and rubs at her eyes. "So what are you doing tonight, Sofia?"

"I was thinking we could spend the night together, if you wanted," Sofia says. "I found this silly romcom movie on Netflix, and it looks like something you'd enjoy. What do you say? I can put together that lasagna you enjoy, and we can turn it on?"

Alicia smiles at her. "I may not be the best company, you sure you want to?"

Sofia smiles fondly at her. "Of course I'm sure, Alicia. What do you say?"

"I say it sounds perfect," she sighs. "I can't promise I'll stay awake the whole movie, but I'll do my best."

"That's all I can ask for," Sofia tells her, patting her ankle tenderly. "I'll go start the lasagna and be back in a few minutes to start the movie. Rest your eyes if you want."

"Thanks," Alicia sighs, leaning back to do just that, sinking into the soft cushions of their well-worn couch. "We should do this more often," she muses softly.

"I agree," Sofia says softly before leaving the room to start supper.
