Sleep doesn't really come easily for Alicia at this stage in her pregnancy. The twins are very active, seeming to take turns sleeping and kicking her so she rarely gets any rest. Not that she would prefer the alternative, she'd rather them active than the unknown of two unmoving babies. Even so, the lack of consistent sleep is eating at her and she thinks she understands why some prisoners mark the wall for each passing day getting them once day close to their end goal.

Likewise, AJ is wide awake too, sitting next to her in bed, lightly running her fingers through her hair, sometimes murmuring lines from the book she's reading, sometimes talking lightly with Alicia whenever she grows weary of reading. "Mike's birthday is soon, isn't it?" Alicia murmurs after awhile, blinking listlessly at the off-white wall that she's been staring at for the last few months.

"It is," AJ murmurs. "The coming weekend."

Alicia sits up and examines her, curious. "Do you think he's going to come here? Or will you fly out there and be with him?"

"We honestly haven't talked about it," AJ says, looking up from her book. "I think he said Maryse is planning something for him on TV. Beyond that," she shrugs. "I guess we'll discuss it closer to the time of."

Alicia nods. "I just want you to know, Ricardo and I, we appreciate everything you've done for us since I was put on bedrest, but I doubt you thought it'd go on this long and the doctor thinks I may make it well into my eight month, and we never intended on keeping you away from your family for this long."

"Are you trying to get rid of me?" AJ asks with a small smile, smirking over at Alicia.

"Not at all," Alicia says. "I just... you know, if Ricardo was being targeted by someone, I'd like to be there for him. I don't want you to look back on this time and hate me, or Ricardo, or anyone else if things... well, if things go south."

AJ sits with that for a few moments, then exhales slowly. "I get what you're saying," she says quietly. "And I know most people would probably want to be with their husband about now, but." She exhales. "He has Maryse. I know it's just for show, but either way I could only do so much if something was wrong anyway. Not only because... I don't know what powers Lumis, but also because I can't be seen in public with my own husband because everyone thinks he's married to a different woman, and has kids that are absolutely not mine." She shrugs. "I just... I can't do it."

Alicia nods slowly, some of the mystery regarding AJ becoming clear to her. "I'm sorry," she murmurs.

"Stop apologizing, you're fine." They fall quiet once more, Alicia starting to scroll through the TV menu, looking for something that will hopefully distract them.

"I hope my kids are born on Halloween," she says suddenly.

AJ quirks an eyebrow at her. "You do?"

"Yep." Alicia smiles. "I think I want to name one baby Frank, the other Stein."

AJ's draw drops. "Wha... what?" she mumbles, searching her friend's face. "You do?"

"Of course," Alicia says with a beautiful smile, her hands massaging her stomach, searching out either of the baby's kicks. "Frankenstein?"

AJ gawks at her, finally putting it all together. "You're awful," she laughs, lightly swatting Alicia with a small pillow.

"Made you laugh though," Alicia tells her, eyes shining. "That makes it all work it."

AJ rolls her eyes. "Kids, I hope you know how to resist horrible puns by the time you can learn how to talk, because your parents both liking them is more than enough for the world."

Alicia laughs at this, beaming at her best friend. "Don't listen to Aunty April," she informs the squirming babies. "She's an incredible person but her sense of fun and humor is still something that needs work on."

AJ scoffs but ultimately decides to let it go when her phone rings, Mike's face flicking on the screen. She's still not sure how to feel about the situation, but something in her settles at his still reaching out to talk to her right now, despite the hour and everything going on around him.
