When the doors to the Hazbin Hotel swung open, Husk assumed that heralded the return of everyone who'd gone to Lu Lu World. And he was right of course.

But what he didn't expect was that the first person he saw looked like a child version of John with blue hair.

But that's exactly what happened.

Husk had simply been sitting at the bar, his head propped up on his hand and close to falling asleep when the doors suddenly swung open with a slam, causing the cat to jump up in a frenzy as his gaze shot towards the door, more than ready to throw a set of exploding dice at a possible intruder.

He only had a second to calm down before a child, the size of an eight-year-old with the physique of an even younger child, came barreling through the doors with a look of wonder on his face as he glanced around at the Hotel lobby in awe.

The cat found his eyes glued to the boy, who looked just like the behemoth that guarded the Hotel in too many ways for it to be a coincidence. The only thing really missing were the gashes and the spikes upon the joints, but even then, Husk could still spot a pair of bony nubs upon the kid's knuckles.

Whoever the child was, he even had the same outfit as John. The only major difference was his hair and eyes. In contrast to John's own pitch black hair and piercing blue hues, the boy currently looking around at the lobby with an awed smile on his face held dark blue hair that was cut rather short, and a pair of piercing emerald eyes.

Even despite the noticeable difference however, Husk found himself uttering the first thing that came to mind.

"What the hell happened to you?!" Husk exclaimed, startling the boy as he jerked his gaze towards the cat, smile gone in favor of a fearful frown.

"Calm down, Husk." Vaggie's voice rang out as the moth made her way into the lobby, looking… rather worn out, Husk had to admit, as she walked up to the boy and placed a comforting hand upon his shoulder. "This isn't John, it's his son. Why don't you introduce yourself, killer?" She offered the boy a gentle smile as another reassurance. The child met her eyes for a moment, before turning back to Husk as he backed himself closer to Vaggie.

"I'm Leo." The kid sounded nervous as hell, and despite the truckload of questions Husk now had at the bombshell that had just been dropped, Husk found himself letting out a small sigh and shaking his head. Husk was many things, but like Vanessa had discovered, he had a soft spot for kids.

"Nice to meet you." Husk assured as he managed to offer the boy a small smile of his own. "I'm Husk. Sorry about scaring you, kid."

"It's okay." The boy offered a shy smile, something far different from his father's own confident demeanor, as he made a few apprehensive steps closer to the bar. "Um… what do you do here?"

"Doorman and bartender." Husk answered simply, shrugging his shoulders. His smile turned to a more amused grin, however, as he held up a playing card for the child to see. "But I also dabble in magic from time to time."

Husk didn't just dabble, he was very good at parlor tricks. But he didn't usually show it off to anybody unless he was stoking his own ego. However… a soft spot for kids and a knack for magic tricks was bound to get him to open up.

The shyness seemed to disappear, another awed gaze taking over the child's expression as his pace quickened, coming to a stop at the bar as he looked at the card with a smile.

"Can you show me some?"

Husk couldn't stop his grin if he'd tried. "Take a seat, kid." He instructed, nodding towards one of the barstools as he reached a clawed hand into his pocket, pulling out his deck of cards he always had on him.

Leo gladly hopped up into the seat, eager to see the apparent magic trick in store as Husk undid the rubber bands wrapped around his deck and began shuffling the cards. The kid's hands bounced against the wooden bar in excitement, a familiar shark toothed grin on his face as he watched Husk.

Yep, it was definitely John's kid.

Once he was satisfied, Husk took a set of cards off the top of the deck and held them in his hand, before holding them out to the kid.

"Pick a card, any card." The same old cliche line rolled from his lips as smoothly as a spider spins a web, and Leo raised a hand in a excitement, stopping for a moment to decide before withdrawing a card. Eight of Hearts.

"Take a look." Husk instructed, nodding towards the card as he put the rest of the cards back on the deck and began shuffling them once more. He made sure Leo wasn't paying attention, before splitting the cards in half and taking a quick glance at the bottom card of the top deck.

Queen of Diamonds.

"Got it memorized?" Husk asked Leo, and once he got a nod in response, the cat grinned as he held the bottom deck towards the child. "Alright then, put it back."

Leo looked confused at the instructions, but nodded nonetheless as he placed the card back in the deck. Husk put both halves back together and began shuffling the cards, paying close attention to the location of the two cards as he did so.

Usually, the audience or viewer would be the one allowed to shuffle the deck, but Husk wasn't about to trust a child with his cards. Soft spot or no.

"So, is this the card you picked?" Husk asked once he was done shuffling, pulling the Eight of Hearts out and turning it towards Leo.

Being oblivious to the actual skill that went into the trick, the young… sinnerborn? Husk wasn't sure how to refer to the child, but the young demon wholly believed that it really was magic, and his eyes went wide in awe as he looked at the card he'd chosen.

"How'd you do that?!" Leo asked, an excited smile on his face as Husk pulled his cards back and reapplied the rubber bands.

Husk simply chuckled in response. "A good magician never reveals their secrets."

"A good magician also doesn't use something that simple." The familiar rumble of John's voice entered Husk's ears, and the cat admittedly found himself confused by the fact that he hadn't heard the behemoth as he looked up and spotted John approaching, while the rest of the Hotel inhabitants who'd left stood in the lobby, watching with smiles on their faces.

Husk allowed another chuckle to escape him as he nodded in agreement with the behemoth. "Fair enough." He pocketed the cards once more as he looked up at John with a raised eyebrow. "So, you got a kid, huh?"

"Believe it or not, I don't have any more answers to it than you do." John admitted with a chuckle, before his expression shifted to a fond smile as he looked down at Leo. "But I wouldn't change a thing if I could." He brought a hand up and gently rubbed the child's back, earning a beaming smile in response.

"He's cool!" Leo exclaimed, a massive grin on his face as he pointed at Husk. "Does he always do magic tricks?"

"Something tells me that he will be now." John chuckled as he gave the boy a pat, before turning back to Husk with a more serious expression. "Where's Alastor and Niffty?"

"No idea." Husk admitted bluntly, his own smile falling away into a frown as he gave a shrug. "You know how Niffty is, and Al's either gonna be in his room or in his radio station."

"Figures." John replied with a sigh, before looking down at Leo with a stern expression. "For the time being, if you ain't with me or anyone else here, you're in my room. Got it?"

"Yes sir." Leo perked up almost immediately, nodding his head as his own smile faded and he met his father's gaze. "No leaving your room unless I'm with someone."

John let a smile come onto his face at that, bringing a hand up and ruffling his son's hair with a chuckle. "Alright, come on. We gotta get your stuff up to my room." He gestured for the kid to follow, and Leo obeyed without question, smiling as he hopped off the barstool and followed the behemoth.

Husk watched as John bent down and grabbed a small styrofoam box, passing it to Leo before grabbing a bunch of different items and throwing them all into one hand. As he made his way up to his room, everyone dispersed to their own activities as well, retreating to their rooms to put away the luggage they'd taken with them.

Leaving Husk alone in the lobby.

After a few moments of silence…

"Who's the mom?"

"So… what's wrong?" Charlie asked the moment their bedroom door was shut. Vaggie wanted to curse as she realized that she would have to talk about it sooner rather than later. But she supposed that it might be better to get it over with.

It would be much worse if she waited.

"Um… can you…" Vaggie found herself at a loss of how to actually ask as she turned to face the Princess, plopping herself down on the bed as she did so. Despite dating Charlie for three years, she still wasn't entirely sure what the princess could and couldn't do, but considering the revelation that was John's hearing at Lu Lu World… "Is there a way you can soundproof the room?"

Charlie's brow furrowed in confusion at the admittedly odd request, but nonetheless, she nodded her head as she raised a hand and snapped her fingers.

Despite no real indication that anything had happened, Vaggie wasn't stupid enough to think that Charlie hadn't done something. To be quite frank, Charlie could do almost anything with literally nothing more than a snap of her fingers.

"Now what's going on? You've been acting weird, and it's got me worried." Charlie asked as she walked closer to Vaggie, taking a seat on the bed next to her as she let a hand rest upon the moth's shoulder.

"I… I think I'm…" Vaggie found herself pausing, before a shameful sigh escaped her as she let hands come up to grip her head. "I… I think I'm falling for John."

Charlie's eyes went wide, her expression shifting to one of complete and utter shock. How else was she supposed to react? Her hand slipped from Vaggie's shoulder, and she looked completely baffled at how to process the admission.

And Vaggie couldn't blame her in the slightest.

"I… I thought you were a lesbian." Charlie said slowly, still trying to comprehend what she'd just been told.

"I am." Vaggie replied with a saddened sigh, sitting up and resting her hands on her knees as she barely glanced at Charlie. "I'm… I'm so confused. I don't… I don't understand it…"

"When… when did you realize this?" Charlie asked, meeting Vaggie's gaze with a furrowed brow, only curious at the moment. She'd wait till later before she made any judgements.

"At the park." Vaggie answered with a shake of her head. "I… I didn't realize what it was I was feeling at the time… but I was jealous, when John said that he and Nea had a fling for a time."

"Okay…" Charlie slowly nodded her head, assuring Vaggie that she was still following.

Vaggie swallowed, still more than nervous at telling Charlie everything, but nonetheless she continued. "And then we found out what Mayday did to him, and… well, my first instinct was to find and kill her. I wanted to protect John."

"Even though he can protect himself?" Charlie couldn't help but to question, raising an eyebrow at that.

"I thought about that too." Vaggie admitted, a mirthless chuckle escaping her as she shook her head. "I kept thinking about why in felt so strongly about it. I mean, I still don't trust him completely, and it's more than obvious he can take care of himself, but the next thing I know… well, I was thinking about how… how handsome he was."

"Oh…" Charlie still sounded rather lost, struggling to comprehend the situation that had just been revealed to her.

An uncomfortable silence befell the two, and Vaggie found her gaze shifting away from Charlie once more. She was honestly ready for one helluva tongue lashing, some kind of sounds of betrayal… after all, who wouldn't get angry to find out their partner is falling for someone else?

But… as always, Charlie was different from most.

"So that's why you kept looking at John." Charlie muttered to herself, causing Vaggie to feel even worse. However, a gentle hand returned to the moth's shoulder, causing her to turn her head towards Charlie… only to find herself looking at Charlie's smiling face. "Well… thanks for telling me."

"You're… not mad?" Even despite the fact that she should know Charlie better than that, Vaggie still couldn't help but to be shocked that the Princess didn't seem to be angry in the slightest.

"It's not like you're trying to leave me for him." Charlie pointed out, a soft smile taking over her face as she let a small chuckle escape her. "Besides, you're beating yourself up just because you find him attractive.

"But… he's a man. And I'm a lesbian."

"You're sexuality is your sexual preference." Charlie replied, raising an eyebrow as she offered an amused grin. "I know there seems like a difference, but there's really not. Liking a man doesn't make you any less of a lesbian."

That… wasn't the response Vaggie had expected, admittedly. Not in the slightest.

But leave it to Charlie to catch her by surprise with kindness alone.

"You… it almost sounds like you're making excuses for me." Vaggie couldn't help but to point out, earning a giggle of amusement from the Princess.

"I love you, Vaggie." Charlie replied, her expression soft and gentle as she leaned closer to the moth. "I'm just pointing out the facts. I mean, it's not like you're going to turn around and decided that you want John more than me. Besides… I can't really judge you, either."

At that, Vaggie's eye widened in surprise, before tilting her head in confusion. "What do you mean?"

Charlie simply smiled. "John is attractive. Whether he thinks so or not doesn't really matter. And I was jealous and worried too when we found out about Nea and Verosika." She admitted with a slight blush, out of either embarrassment or shame, though Vaggie wasn't sure which.

Vaggie felt like she should now be the one who's angry, the one who was hurt, yelling and screaming her sorrows at the cause. But she couldn't.

Charlie had simply admitted that she too had done the same things, things Vaggie had already admitted to herself. She didn't have the right to judge Charlie.

But even if she did, she didn't have the heart, either. Charlie was a special kind of soul, one whom never meant any harm if she could help it. And as she'd said earlier anyway…

"Well, I guess neither of us can resist whatever charm he has." Vaggie couldn't help but to joke, a slight chuckle escaping her as she shook her head in amusement. Her words earned another giggle from Charlie, causing the moth to smile at nothing more than the sounds of the Princess' amusement.

"No, I guess not." Charlie agreed with a nod, before her expression softened as she met Vaggie's gaze. "I still love you, though."

Vaggie couldn't have stopped her smile if she'd tried, and she made sure Charlie knew it too as she leaned closer to the Princess, her lips touching Charlie's own cherry red lips in a kiss.

The two found themselves content in each other's warmth, before separating as their loving gazes remained locked onto each other.

"So… where do you stand, with him?" Vaggie found the question leaving her lips before she even had a chance to think about it. But Charlie refused to judge either way, simply looking up at the ceiling for a moment in thought.

"There's… definitely an attraction. But I'm honestly not sure if it'll become any more than that." Charlie admitted, offering Vaggie a reassuring smile as she placed a comforting hand upon the moth's leg. "But whether it does or not, that doesn't mean it's gonna impact our relationship."

Vaggie found herself reassured with those words. Which was rather funny, considering she herself had been the one who thought Charlie would need a reassurance that nothing would happen.

Charlie had a habit of turning things like that around without even realizing it.

"So… where do you stand, then?" Charlie asked, looking at Vaggie for an answer as she gave the moth a curious gaze.

Vaggie's own gaze fell away, coming to stare at her legs as she thought over the answer.

Where did she stand with John? Obviously, there relationship was nothing more than good friends, and Vaggie felt confident that she could say that. Regardless of how much she trusted John, she trusted him enough to know she could call him a real friend.

And she knew she cared enough that her protective instincts would kick in for the behemoth, regardless of how well he could take care of himself.

And she knew that she preferred to see him happy. Anything else in her eyes was completely unacceptable, and she would make sure the cause died a painful death just to see him smile again.

Which is… the same thing she'd do for Charlie.

"I… I think it's a bit stronger than a simple attraction." Vaggie admitted with a sigh, before offering Charlie a comforting smile. "I know it's nothing close to what we have… but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't care for him a bit more than the others."

"That's fine." Charlie assured with a smile of her own, leaning over and pulling the moth into a hug. Vaggie gladly returned the embrace as she let her head rest upon the Princess' shoulder. "As long as nothing has changed between us."

"Never."

It was a tender moment, one which Vaggie herself didn't want to leave.

Unfortunately, it would seem fate had other plans in mind.

The blissful peace of the Hotel was interrupted by the sound of a loud crash, followed shortly by another along with the sound of rapidly snapping wood and the feeling of the entire Hotel shaking as a familiar roar reverberated through the entire building.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY SON!"

A Few Minutes Earlier

"This is your room?" Leo's eyes were filled with awe as he stepped into the room while his dad held the door open, earning a chuckle from the man himself as he nodded his head.

"Yep." John confirmed as he stepped through the door, closing it behind him before he made his way over to the large bed that belonged to him and tossing Leo's stuff onto the bed. "You'll be sleeping here with me while you're here."

"Sweet!" Leo clearly had no objections, a bouncing bundle of joy as he shook his fists in excitement. "So what do you do here, Dad?"

"Like I told you in the RV, I'm the security guard." John answered as he began separating the stuff that Nea had given him for Leo. "My job is to keep the place and everyone who lives here safe."

"Like a superhero?"

John chuckled at the comparison, but nodded his head. "Something like that." He agreed as he found one particular object he was looking for. "Come here." He instructed Leo as he grabbed the boy's inhaler.

Leo followed the instructions without question, moving up behind his father as John walked over to the nightstand on what would become his side of the bed, before opening the top drawer.

"You're inhaler is gonna be in here, alright?" John made sure Leo paid apt attention as he placed the inhaler in the drawer before closing it. "I'm gonna make sure everyone knows just in case I'm not here. Do you remember how to use it?"

"Shake it, take a deep breath, breathe in as I push the button." Leo recounted the proper way to use the inhaler perfectly, nodding his head as he met his dad's gaze. "I have to use it once when I get up, and once before I go to bed. Just to be safe."

John found himself smiling as he nodded his head in response to Leo's words. "Good job, buddy." He assured as he walked over and pulled Leo into a side hug, causing the boy to wrap his own arms around his dad's waist.

When the two separated, John gestures towards the rest of the stuff on the bed. "Alright, let's sort through your stuff and get it put away, then I can show you around the place. What do you say?"

It was no surprise that Leo nodded his head eagerly, lookin more than happy at the prospect of some time with his father. Without waiting for another word, the sinnerborn demon hopped up on the bed and began rooting through his stuff, while John simply watched with a fond smile on his face.

It took the two of them no time at all to get through with sorting everything, leaving the cover and, at Leo's request, the John plushie atop the bed. John put most of it away, making sure to leave the sippy cup atop his nightstand for later on when it was time for bed.

Once everything had been put away, John found Leo bouncing on his toes by the door, waiting on his father with an air of eagerness that honestly reminded the behemoth much of his own younger self.

"Alright, calm down Leo." John said with an amused chuckle as he walked over towards the door, opening it up and holding it for his son as he nodded towards the hallway. "Come on, let's go."

Leo nodded without hesitation, walking out into the hallway with John right behind him as the behemoth turned and shut the door, pulling his key out and locking it before slipping the key back into his pocket.

"Dad, who's that?" Leo's curious voice suddenly questioned as John turned to glance towards his son. However, when he saw the somewhat fearful look on Leo's face, he immediately felt every muscle in his body go tense as he looked for the source of his son's discomfort.

He found it quite quickly, as only a few feet away was the approaching form of Alastor.

"And just who is this little fellow?" The familiar radio filter accompanied Alastor's voice as always as his wide eyes fixed themselves on Leo. "A little brother, perhaps? He resembles you quite a bit, John."

"My son." John was on edge as he corrected the deer, stepping forward and putting himself between the two, gently pushing Leo behind himself as he looked down at Alastor. "His name's Leo."

"Your son?" Alastor asked with a raised brow, that ever-present smile never fading despite the look of confusion, before glancing at Leo, who promptly tried to hide behind his father. "What kind of evil must be committed for a child to end up down here?"

"He didn't die." John corrected once more, his jaw tightening as the frustration began to build. There were times where he liked Alastor's company, and then there were times where the Radio Demon managed to touch every nerve the behemoth had.

This was one of those bad times.

"Oh?" Alastor looked intrigued at that news, bringing a finger up to his chin in confusion, before meeting John's own gaze. "Then you're saying that he's a… Sinner-born demon? I never thought such a sinful idea could be a reality."

"There's nothing sinful about it." John could already tell this wasn't going to end well. The growl accompanying his words were enough proof of that, and he had to stop himself from doing anything quite yet.

"Au contraire, my spikey friend. There's nothing more sinful than a child born to a sinner, after all." Alastor's eyes once again wandered down to the child, causing Leo to once again hide himself behind John. "And if the child isn't actually a sinner himself, he doesn't belong here."

"He's my son. He belongs here so long as I say he does, and Charlie has no problem with it either." John's hands curled into fists, and there was only one thought going through his mind.

Not in front of Leo…

Unfortunately, it would seem that Alastor didn't get the hint, nor did he care.

"I'm not Charlie, and if you do not move, I will move you and remove the brat my- HRK!"

That did it. That broke him.

Whatever patience John had left was finally destroyed as his hand lashed out, gripping Alastor by the neck and choking the life out of the Radio Demon as he turned his gaze back towards Leo.

"Close your eyes, cover your ears."

Leo wasted no time in obeying, crouching down as he clamped his eyes shut and slammed his hands over his ears to muffle the sound.

John turned his gaze back to Alastor, and he let a guttural growl of fury escape him as he pulled the demon closer to his own face.

"He's my son. He's my child. Charlie doesn't mind, and I'll be damned if you think I'll let you touch him!" Every word carried a promise of agony, and John couldn't help but to feel a twisted sense of satisfaction as Alastor's smile finally dropped, a tinge of fear making itself visible upon the usually composed sinner's face.

At any other time, that would've satisfied the behemoth. However, considering it was his child, his flesh and blood that had been threatened…

John brought his hand back, taking joy in the feeling of Alastor's body flapping like a ragdoll, before slamming the Radio Demon into the ground.

"STAY AWAY FROM MY SON!"

That order was accompanied by not only the sound of a downright demonic undertone, but the sound of Alastor's body crashing through the floor, and then a few more in a rapid pace.

The sound of the constant snapping of wood echoed through the entire Hotel, along with the echo of John's declaration as Alastor's body crashed through the lower floors and slammed into the ground, rattling the Hotel on its foundations.

John had no doubt that everyone in the building would be alarmed, but that was about the last thing he cared about as he stared down the hole in the floor, waiting for the dust that had built up from Alastor's expressway to the bottom floor in order to see the man himself.

After a few moments of no visibility, John turned away from the hole and crouched down next to Leo, bringing a hand up and gently resting upon the child's back.

Understandably, Leo jumped in fright at the contact, spinning around to face his father in a panic, before calming slightly once he realized who it was.

"Here," John reached into his pocket and withdrew the key to his bedroom, handing it to Leo before gesturing back to his bedroom. "Get inside and lock the door behind you. Don't open it until I get back. Got it?"

Leo nodded without hesitation, and that was all the response John needed.

As the boy bolted towards the bedroom door, John turned back around to face the hole, checking once more to see if the dust had cleared.

It hadn't cleared by much, and that was enough for John to make his choice.

Without any hesitation, he stepped forward, and dropped down onto the hole. His spikes caught on a couple of floors on the way down, widening some of the holes as he landed with a crash, the very earth beneath him shaking to its core from the force of his weight as the floor shattered a little bit more.

The behemoth shook his head of any dust and rolled his shoulders, before standing straight as his piercing blue eyes found his target.

Alastor still sat upon the ground, and it was no exaggeration to say he looked a far cry from his usual self. His clothing was wrinkled and disheveled, torn even more in different places as blood rolled down from his eye and lip. The usual confident smile was gone, replaced with a look of genuine confusion and surprise mixed in with the obvious pain he was in as he tried to pick himself up.

Which spoke nothing of his mangled neck, nor the numerous other broken bones that John could see.

"It's about time we set the record straight, Al." John spoke in a deep rumble, his entire frame growing as his gashes began to absolutely gush with blood, his eyes fading away in place of pinprick red dots hovering within the sockets. "I'm security." His voice grew deeper, his pitch dropping so low that it would vibrate someone's bones as he crouched down next to the injured Radio Demon. "And I have that position for a reason. Would you like to find out why?"

"Fuck you." John would give Alastor this, he had some serious balls.

But he'd compliment him on that later.

"Leo is my son. Charlie is okay with it. And I don't get enough time with him as it is." John made sure that every word held purpose as he spoke, his pinprick eyes glaring daggers at Alastor as he tilted his head. "You are a psychopathic serial killer. The first word my boy says about you, you will know what angels have felt in the last two years."

Any restraint John may have had was gone, completely and utterly absent as he sought to make sure the Radio Demon understood loud and clear just who was more dangerous between himself and the behemoth.

"Am I clear?"

"What the hell is going on?!"

The familiar voice of Vaggie was accompanied by the sounds of multiple pairs of footsteps, and John's gaze flicked up away from Alastor and towards the approaching demons.

Once his glowing red eyes landed upon them, every single one of them came to a sudden, stumbling halt. Most of their faces twisted into looks of utter shellshock and slight terror, and John could even see Pentious actually shaking in fright as he eyed the behemoth.

John stood to his feet, rolling his neck as he met eyes with the mortified gazes of Charlie and Vaggie. "Al tried to take Leo out of here." It was short, sweet, and to the point.

The moment the words left his mouth, Charlie brought a hand to her own in shock while Vaggie's changed to outright fury.

"What?!"

"Who's Leo?"

Niffty's question went ignored as Vaggie marched right past the behemoth and to the still recovering deer with a look of utter contempt.

"He's just a kid, you sick fuck!"

"What the hell?!" Angel too looked less than pleased, pulling out four separate rifles from wherever he kept them as he looked more than ready to shoot the Radio Demon. "What'd he do to you?!"

"You all misunderstand my intentions." Alastor's voice was rough, which was understandable considering the massive drop he just took, as he managed to finally drag himself back to his feet, setting his shoulder back into place with a grunt. For once, the radio static remained completely absent as he spoke.

"You're a cannibal and a serial killer. What other intentions would you have?" The glare Husk earned with that remark probably would've made him cower at another time, but now wasn't one of those times.

"I am many sinful things, but even I draw the line at cruelty towards children." Alastor replied as he brought his gaze away from Husk to meet the still transformed and rightly angry John. "Forgive my presumptuous nature, but is it really wise to have a child in a place meant to house sinners?"

"What do you mean?" Vanessa asked, tilting her head at Alastor's words.

"I mean that this Hotel accepts any and all sinners, does it not?" That question was directed at Charlie, and the Princess nodded her head in affirmation.

"Yeah, so long as they wish to redeem themselves."

"What's your point?" Vaggie asked, crossing her arms and raising a brow at the deer. Considering it was Alastor she was talking to, she didn't believe a single word he said.

"Well, as our slimy friend there managed to prove to us, Miss Magne is surprisingly gullible and it wouldn't be hard for someone to get in with less than stellar intentions, let alone someone who knows how to act." Alastor explained his reasoning, grunting as a loud pop rang out from his bones slowly resetting themselves back into place. "So while I do apologize for some of my words and acting when it's not my place, I will not apologize for attempting to move the child to a safer location."

Not a single person there had anything but shock on their face at Alastor's reasoning. Even John's blood red irises somehow managed to convey that shock as they all looked at him in disbelief.

"So… you actually cared?"

"Oh, no, I just have standards is all." Alastor replied to Vaggie's question with a shrug, returning to his same familiar demeanor as the radio filter returned once more and his microphone manifested from absolutely nowhere. "Unlike we adults, children have not grown enough to make the kind of impactful choices we have, and as such, have not earned the kind of damnation we have."

That was… surprisingly profound, and it was clear that the explanation was at the very least acceptable, as John slowly shrunk down to his usual nine foot size, his eyes returning to his sockets as his blood retreated back into his gashes.

Still, the behemoth looked less than pleased.

"Well, we're gonna make a deal." No sooner than the words left his mouth was John's hand outstretched to the Radio Demon, the tell-tale energy of a deal-maker's ability emanating around the appendage in the form of a deep crimson flame.

"You really think I'd sell my soul?" Alastor asked with a raised brow, his usual confident smile having returned as he looked at John with an amused expression.

"Keep your soul, but you are not gonna harm, scare, or intimidate my kid if I can help it. So neither me nor you are walking away until we make a deal. You ain't making any hostile moves on my kid, and I'll leave you alone. Make a move on him of any kind, and I beat you until your soul is destroyed."

Alastor merely raised an eyebrow at the proposition, but he wasn't stupid enough not to accept, everyone knew that. After all, for all his talk about confidence and power, he'd been thoroughly laid out by the behemoth. And it was clear that John was more than willing to pick up where he left off.

"Very well." With that, Alastor closed his hand around John's and shook.

The burst of power could be felt by all of them as the deal was sealed, both forced to obey their words by the power of deal-making in and of itself as their very souls were bound to the agreement.

And then, just like that… it was all gone.

"Now then, I suppose I'll leave the child to you. Thanks to you, I need another visit to the tailor."

"You're lucky some ripped clothes is all you got." John replied with nothing more than a scornful glance as he turned around and began walking away. However, he came to a stop next to Charlie as he glanced down at her. "Uh… sorry. About the floors."

"You're fine." Charlie assured, offering the behemoth a smile as she brought a hand to rest upon his forearm. "You were protecting your son. I don't think there's a single person in the building who thinks otherwise."

"No shit." Husk remarked, shooting a glare at Alastor as he walked past them all and made his way down the hall, before turning to look up at John. "Kid, if we needed any more evidence of what kind of guy you are, I'd say that's it."

"And besides, I don't like doing it this way… but," Charlie paused her words as she lifted a hand with a smile, snapping her fingers as she did so.

A wisp of pink colored magic seemed to flow from between her fingertips, almost manifesting in the air itself as it flowed past them all and to the broken floor and pieces of wood, before shooting straight up through the hole.

And a literal fraction of Charlie's abilities were on display as the damage that had been done quite literally reversed itself, the broken and dented floor popping back into place and fixing itself as the ceiling above had pieces quite literally returning and melding back into place as if nothing happened.

"I like showing the work I put into this place when something happens. But that doesn't mean I can't fix small things like that with a snap of my fingers." Charlie explained as she looked back up at John's now surprised expression with a smile, giggling at the look on his face before giving his forearm a gentle tap. "And let's be honest, damage is something that's inevitable, regardless of the cause."

John let a small laugh escape him at that, before tearing his gaze away from the now repaired floors and looking down at Charlie with a smile. "You are something else, woman."

"This coming from a sinner who's literally one of the nicest people in Hell?" Angel couldn't help but to joke with a grin.

"I would beg to differ." Pentious commented, though he actually had a playful smile on both his face and his hat in contrast to his words.

John let a small amused puff of air escape his nostrils, before nodding his head. "Well… I need to head on upstairs. Leo's locked himself in my room, and he's waiting on me to come up let him know it's safe."

"Bring him downstairs." Husk advised, causing John to look at him with a raised eyebrow. "What? He's gotta meet Niffty, and besides, I think we all want to at least try and get to know the kid."

"Yeah." Vanessa found herself agreeing with the cat, a smile on her face as she met John's gaze as well. "We didn't really get to meet him properly at the park or in the RV. The most any of us got was when he and Beartrap dragged me and Angel into a game of tag."

"Don't forget he also managed to drag in Vortex and Bee." Angel reminded Vanessa with a chuckle, causing the succubus to giggle in amusement at the reminder. Particularly, when Leo had quite literally dragged Bee out from behind a car. "Kid's got your strength, I hope you know that."

"Not quite to my or Nea's level yet." John assured with a small chuckle, before nodding his head. "Alright then, everyone head on out to the lobby, we'll be down in a bit."

Not a single objection was made, though as everyone walked away, a certain cyclops stood rooted to her spot with a look of surprise on her face.

"John has a son?"

Nonetheless, the time came when everyone gathered in the lobby to meet Leo, who was more than eager to get to know some new faces himself. Having been sheltered for all his life due to his parents' fears, it wasn't often that he got to get out and actually make some new friends.

Not a single soul within the Hotel was left unhappy, each and every person interacting and properly introducing themselves if they hadn't already, a smile on everyone's faces as they got to meet the child.

It most definitely helped that Leo was a symbol of sorts for everyone. The presence of innocence in a place of sin was one of the most inspiring things any of them could imagine.

However… There was also one other person who now had knowledge of the child.

And it was due to the seemingly normal game console setup right there in the lobby.

Within Porn Studios, deep down in the basement where Vox's lair was set up, the TV demon sat staring at one of the televisions with a look of complete and utter shock.

And he only had one thing to say.

"HE'S GOT A FUCKING KID?!"

A/N: If you didn't realize that the VoxBox was a bad idea from the start, I don't know what to tell you. Because we all know Vox isn't above spying on his customers/victims, and I wouldn't put it past him to put a camera inside of every device he sells, no matter how seemingly useless the idea would be.

Anyway, now that the Lu Lu World arc is over, we can move on into Episode 3 of the show.

And all I have to say is that I hope you enjoy it when I write it, because I got some plans for it and the meeting is not quite going to go as planned.

That's the only spoiler you get.

Also, since I can honestly see people complaining over Alastor's seemingly altruistic actions, Viv has stated that Alastor wouldn't kill a child, though he's not above smacking one. I was trying to respect his character as best as I can, and let's be honest, we all knew John would have some kind of confrontation with Alastor eventually, and his own child would definitely be off-limits.

With that, I hope you all enjoyed the chapter, and I'll see you in the next one.
