Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!
Chapter 49: The Fourth Date
About a week had passed since Danny and Mandie's third date and the decision that Danny made to go steady with her. It has also been over a week since Sam and the others had found out about the...changes...in the ghost boy's relationship with the alien princess and...well, things have gone as smoothly as one would expect, and not all were pretty.
While Tucker and Jazz tried to be neutral on the whole matter, Sam made it clear that she still refuses to accept it and is still unwilling to consider giving Mandie a chance. What made this more stressful is that it's for reasons Danny doesn't fully understand.
She won't even be in the same room as him, if "she can help it". That upset him but he tried to make things work since no matter was, she is still one of his best friends and he cares about her...even if her attitude was getting on his nerves.
Anyway now, it was Saturday and the ghost boy was ready. He has plans to meet Mandie for a date.
This is also gonna be his fourth date with Mandie...and the first one he had with her as his official girlfriend.
Now it just had to go as smoothly as the others. He just hoped that she keeps her promises to him, keeps behaving and that she doesn't relapse into her old ways... but he has faith that won't happen.
"Let's hope she keeps proving them wrong..."He thought, still getting used to the fact that he actually has a girlfriend, and an alien princess to boot.
That's when he saw something in the sky and realized what it was. The arrival of his now girlfriend, and hopefully no need for any weaponry.
Just another nice, normal date between them...or rather...their version of a "normal" date.
Mandie's ship had soon landed and she exited, now wearing her disguise and wearing the class ring on her finger with pride. She was happy to be here for another date with her new boyfriend.
"So, Darling...what shall we do on our date today?..."Mandie asked, hands at her hips.
"Well, I was thinking that it's Saturday, we can hang around town, grab a bite to eat and...well, I was also thinking about going to the planetarium too...if you want?..."He said, shrugging.
"Planetarium?..."Mandie questioned, raising a brow.
"It's one of my favorite places. It's where people come to watch and study astronomy, as well as see the stars and planets from a really cool telescope..."Danny explained, sounding excited.
Mandie thought about it and smiled.
"Alright, if you enjoy it, then I suppose that we can observe your universe through a lens..."She said, shrugging as she followed him.
The two unique teenagers soon left to start with their first date as an official couple.
Later
At the Planetarium
Danny had brought Mandie to the planetarium and he enthusiastically showed the displays and the atmosphere.
"So, this is it?..."She asked as she looked around as she saw many maps, pictures and even space rocks and equipment on display.
"I know, awesome, isn't it?..."Danny said, his space geek side showing.
Mandie saw this and found this place to be a bit primitive as the disguised alien princess was about to say something but got interrupted when the planetarium announcer began speaking.
"Attention everyone, we will now be holding our weekly guessing game. The first to answer correctly receives a $50 gift card for ice cream..."Was heard.
"Ice cream?..."Mandie perked up upon hearing one of her favorite earth treats.
"So please, bring your attention to the screen..."He said, pointing up to a computer screen
"What is this?..." Mandie asked, curious.
"Oh, I love this. This is where if you answer the question, you get a prize..." Danny said.
Mandie smirked, liking the thought of a challenge...as well as obtaining a prize for it.
"I see. Perhaps, I will take on this challenge..."She said, more interested in the ice cream as the grand prize.
The planetarium's worker began the challenge, asking a challenging astronomy question.
"Now, does anyone know about the properties of the constantly expanding universe?..."An employee asked as he displayed his intelligence and hope amongst the crowd.
"You mean through the dark matter energy that is creating a constant repulsive force, pushing itself away from space while simultaneously expanding it?..."Mandie answered simply, getting looks from everyone.
She soon saw the attention she was getting, most were surprise by how quick she answered it and even impressed by it.
"Uh, I assume that's the answer..."She said and started feeling a little skittish, almost wishing she could pull out a weapon.
It's easier when people stare at her out of attraction or due wanting a fight, but this feels too awkward for her tastes.
Anyway, the employee were shocked by how accurate and precise she was. He even checked a book he had to confirm the facts.
"You're right..."He said, impressed. "Young lady, you seem to be quite knowledgeable about astronomy..."He said.
"Well, when you can say that I've have some hands on experience with that sorta stuff..."Mandie said, unintentionally slipping that out.
Danny heard this, panicked but quickly thought fast.
"HAHA! Good one, Mandy! Just what I'd expect from another Space Wars fanatic!..."He forced a laugh, while hiding the real reason why his girlfriend is so knowledgeable about space.
Mandie realized that she must have made a mistake and forced some giggles as well.
"Uh, yeah...that..."She said, pretending what she said was a joke.
The employee and the other people around laughed too, buying the excuse of how the purple haired girl was so knowledgeable of space.
"Well, it's always nice to see a space enthusiast with a sense of humor..."He said as he handed Mandie a gift card as her prize.
Mandie stared at the card, confused while the guy went back to his job.
"Anyway, back to the subject of dark matter in space..."He said before going back to the routine that he rehearsed many times.
Danny and Mandie both let out sighs of relief, happy to have saved face. Danny sent her a look and sent her a look.
"Sorry, slipped out..."Mandie whispered, looking a little sheepish.
"Well, thankfully no one seems to have noticed. This means I gotta show you enough of those movies to get what I meant..."He said, keeping his head down all the other patrons were too enthralled by the presentation of the planetarium.
"Well, I wouldn't mind seeing another movie with you..."She said before frowning at her so-called prize.
"I thought he said that I would be given ice cream ad my prize for answering the question..."She said as she looked at the card.
"Yeah. You just have to go to the ice cream shop, the one that is mentioned on the card, show this to them and they'll give you up to $50 worth of it..."Danny explained.
"Is that a lot ice cream for that much earth currency?..."She asked.
"Normally, yes for the average human. I'd say you could have enough for the next few visits to earth if you manage it. Though, given how quick you wolfed down that ice cream when you first had it, I wouldn't be surprised if it be used up by the end of the day..."Danny teased.
Mandie knew he was joking and sent him an eye-roll.
"Oh, shut up..."She said as she playfully punched him in the arm.
However, due to her impressive strength, it was a little...harder than playful.
"I see you can't turn it on and off like I can..."He said as he rubbed his arm.
Mandie noticed this and got nervous.
"Sorry...I wasn't trying to hurt you!..."She said in a panic, wondering if she made a wrong choice.
Thankfully, Danny smiled at her.
"Don't worry. I heal fast and I know you didn't mean it in a mean way..."He said, knowing that it wasn't done in malice.
Mandie was relieved and smiled. Happy that he is not angry, just slightly bruised.
"I will try to pull my punches a bit in the future..."She said as she looked at the card, and then at her ghostly boyfriend.
"Then I know where I wish to go later on this wonderful date of ours..."She said, fluttering her eyelashes.
"Sure, though part of me hopes you don't mind sharing a bit..."Danny said, chuckling.
"Since you had been kind enough to lend me the money for that dress and have been a wonderful boyfriend so far, I suppose I can share my spoils of war with you..."She said, more than happy to share her prize with him.
"Good to know..."Danny said, chuckling.
The two teens shared a laugh and soon went to enjoy the rest of their date, avoiding more slip ups.
An hour later
After that, Danny showed Mandie more of the displays at the planetarium and they both engaged in conversation about space and shuttles. Mandie even answered some questions to stuff that even a space geek like Danny hadn't thought about, before, which captivated the ghost boy.
It was no surprise, given his love for space.
Now, they went to where the telescope was and took turns looking through it. Mandie pondered as she looked at the large telescope.
"Hmm...so this is suppose to be an advance Earth telescope? I think I remembered seeing a similar one at one of Boudacia's ancient history museums on display..."She commented as she looked at the giant telescope.
"I guess your planet is more ahead of earth when it comes to this sorta stuff..."Danny said.
"True...but I'll admit you seem to have us beat at cinematography...and food..."Mandie said, still thinking of the ice cream they are going to get later.
Danny chuckled and held her hand within his own. Something she noticed.
"Glad you approve..."He said, smiling.
Mandie smiled and felt her heart flutter around him, the feeling of his fingers wrapping around her hand. Since not many people are here today, they were currently alone here and the alien princess had some ideas on how they could spend this alone time.
She wondered if this meant what it did.
"Is it time?..."She thought, still feeling butterflies in her tummy.
The alien princess sent a bashfully look to the ghost boy, thinking this was the moment she waited for. Despite the importance of this event, her heart was barely able to handle her emotions turning her face a new shade of red.
"D-Danny? Since this is our fourth date so far, are…are you considering marriage already?…"Mandie said, her face was red with girlish innocence.
While back then, the ghost boy would coldly reject the idea. But Danny shook his head in a playful mirth as he looked into the eyes of his girlfriend.
"Sorry, Mandie, but I still have no interest on marrying right now. But I still like you…"a Danny said.
"Ah! Just hearing you say that makes me like you more!…"Mandie swooned, leaning into the air and she used the ghost boy's body to support her, which soon turned into a hug.
She looked more like a little girl than an alien warrior princess.
"Well... this is not what I expect most aliens would do...but I'm not against it..." He thought, as she kept hugging him.
The two unique teens soon kept going, and continued to enjoy the sights and sounds of the planetarium, holding hands and giving flirty looks when no one was looking.
Later
After the planetarium, Danny decided to take Mandie to grab a bite to eat, the alien princess suggested the Nasty Burger and ghost boy agreed. She also mentioned that for desert, to go get some of the ice cream that she won. As they walked together, Mandie was still talking about what she saw and added her opinion of the earthly planetarium they had just visited.
"I must say Darling...this museum dedicated to space was rather enjoyable...in a prehistoric way..."Mandie said.
"I guess coming to a place like this is kinda like going to a disco..."He said.
"A what?..."Mandie asked, curious.
"Oh, it's just something people who enjoy old-fashioned and retro stuff do, something you and I will never hopefully do..."He said.
"Though, I guess this was more like visiting a renaissance fair or some old west ranch than a disco..."He said.
"What's that?..."She asked.
"It's wheere people who are into history go to places like that, sometimes to learn and sometimes for fun..."He explained.
"Hmm...sounds fascinating. Any chance we can go to a place like that one of these days?..."She asked.
"Hmmm...I guess we can try..."He said, not against it.
Mandie smiled.
"Good...and after we eat at the Nasty Burger...maybe we can also get some ice cream too?..."She asked.
"Sure..."Danny said, still holding her hands as they walked.
Mandie soon realized that it will be awhile until they get to that establishment and got ideas.
"So, Darling...we are alone right now..."Mandie paused, sending him a hinting look.
"Yeah..."He said, knowing where this is going.
Mandie fluttered her eyes and leaned closer, sending him a flirtatious look.
"I suppose...since we are alone right now...why don't we...enjoy ourselves?..."She asked, fluttering her eyelashes at him once again.
Danny heard this and chuckled again.
"I think I know what you have in mind..."He said, almost expecting this at this point.
The two teens leaned forward, intending to kiss. However, before they could lock lips with each other, but the sound of footsteps suspiciously coming toward them triggered Mandie's warrior senses.
The alien princess heard this, glared at the direction of the footsteps and got defensive.
"SHOW YOURSELF!..."She shouted as she threw something nearby in that direction.
"Mandie!..."Danny said but it was too late.
Mandie threw a soda can that she got from a nearby garbage can towards the adversary, making her hit her target.
"OW!..."Was heard.
Mandie remained defensive while Danny frowned upon hearing a familiar voice.
"Do I hear the sounds of a teenage girl's voice...one that is REALLY FAMILIAR?!..."Danny said, sounding angry.
Realizing that they were caught, Sam, Jazz and Tucker got out of their hiding spots. Sam looked mad while she was rubbing her back, the spot where the soda can had landed while the other two looked worried about being caught.
"SERIOUSLY?!..."He exclaimed. "You guys are SPYING on us again?! NOW?!..."He said.
"Sorry guys, Sam saw you guys leaving the Planetarium together and we couldn't talk her out of it..."Tucker said.
The goth glared at that.
"Traitor..."She muttered.
She noticed the glare she was getting from Danny and the intense stare from Mandie, which she returned.
"Sorry for trying to make sure you didn't get abducted again..."Sam said, arms crossed.
Mandie glared at that remark, remembering the goth girl and her rivaling affections for the ghost boy. However, there was no rivalry anymore.
She had already won.
"Danny's mine, so no need for violence...yet..."She thought, trying to keep her cool.
Sam, on the other hand, was more assertive with her emotions. Displaying obvious hostility, the goth looked like she was ready to go to war, but kept to herself tactically. She didn't want anyone else in the crossfire. But it still didn't stop her from expressing her distrust around the alien girl.
"I see you're back on Earth..."Sam said, hostile.
"I earned my redemption, just as I earned a chance for Danny's love..."Mandie said in controlled voice.
Sam kept herself in check as she retorted, knowing where to hit.
"If only you knew that before hand, but then again, not everyone is perfect..."The goth said before suddenly hissing, a part of her body still a little sore. "Especially when a warrior race decides to land on a peaceful planet...or throwing stuff all of sudden..."Sam said, rubbing the spot that Mandie had hit with the can earlier.
Mandie frowned.
"Be grateful that I left my lucky mace on my ship, otherwise you'd be shredded to bits..."Mandie said, but her tone showed that she wasn't sorry.
"I figured as much from someone like you..."The goth said.
"Watch your mouth, Earth girl. If I were you, I would-..."Mandie said, stopping as Danny coughed.
Date or not, Danny wasn't going to let her vent her rage on anyone, even if his friend was being antagonistic. Both females stood down but still glared at each other, in a rather territorial way while the ghost boy put a hand on Mandie, to calm her down.
"Mandie, relax..."Danny said in a stern voice, making the alien back down.
He also sent a glare at Sam, who was not backing down despite his obvious anger. Seeing as she won't, he spoke.
"Sam, I already told you that I was giving her a chance, and I can't believe you spied on me. You pretty much went ballistic when I tried this when that Gregor guy showed up..."He reminded for the 10th time.
"Gregor or Elliot or whatever never STALKED or ABDUCTED anyone..."Sam said, being stubborn.
"I haven't done anything like that since Danny and I started over!..."Mandie said, offended.
"So you say! What alien technology are you using to control him!?..."Sam said in an accusing manner.
"My charm, you should try it..."The alien girl said, earning another glare from Sam.
Mandie felt her temper rise but tried to control herself.
"Calm down, Mandie. Remember that Danny is right here and this annoying earth female is a friend of his...even if she is crossing boundaries that would have gotten her smited a long time ago!..."She thought, reigning in her temper.
She tried to recall her mother's words, that sometimes you have to rely on strategy and diplomacy than brute force to achieve victory. Maybe she can try that here.
"I should at least try to be friendly...after all, one of them could end up being my sister-in-law and the boy could be a potential best man. It's better to have the mas allies, rather than enemies..."She consider.
The alien princess composed herself and took a deep breath as she walked up to the trio. Though Sam was still surly, she could sense Jazz and Tucker held no animosity for now, though they still seemed to be a little wary of her.
That did not stop Tucker from staring at her, mentally checking her out.
"Nice..." He muttered.
Jazz smacked him in the back of the head.
"Don't..." She warned.
Mandie ignored this and tried to maintain positive relations, ignoring the gothic female and turning to the other humans, who so far haven't tried to truly antagonize her.
"So...yeah...I'm Jazz, Danny's sister..."Jazz started, staring at Mandie.
"Nice to officially meet you..."She said, before turning to Tucker and Sam, before she tried to be...nice.
"You know, I think this is the first time we've met...away from the battle field that is..."Mandie said, surprising Tucker and Jazz.
Jazz had only known of Mandie and had seen photos but never saw her in person. Tucker, on the other hand, was shocked to see the girl talk first and keep her sword in.
It was remarkably refreshing for the boy. Now, if only Sam wouldn't stir up the hornet's never knew when to quit.
"It's...okay...I guess this is better than when you first came..."Jazz commented as she gave a small, nervous chuckle, holding out her hand.
Mandie glanced at the gesture, partially happy to see Danny's sister being accepting, even if she was slightly hesitant shaking hands with the girl.
"Indeed..." She said, taking the hand.
Danny was glad that Mandie was trying to be nice to his friends, but he could still see the dagger-like look from Sam. The ghost boy was going to have to talk to her later.
"I really hope Sam doesn't do anything to provoke Mandie and turn the town into a war zone..."He thought, mentally groaning before checking on his friends.
Danny then took Mandie's hand again and turned to the group.
"As you can see, we're fine. So we don't need to be babysat..."He said, sounding annoyed.
"Me and Mandie are gonna go back to our date...and we would appreciate if NO ONE spies on us AGAIN!..."Danny said sternly, narrowing his eyes at the goth girl.
Sam frowned at that, hating the fact that Mandie was currently wrapping herself around Danny. She could literally feel her body overcooking in her anger as her fist shook.
Mandie sent her a smirk, while sending a victorious look to the goth in an almost in a playful and mocking manner.
"Take that, gloomy female!..."She thought, pleased.
Sam frowned at that, but Tucker and Jazz, were more agreeable as they nodded. They started to take a step back and give them space.
"Don't worry, we were going bowling anyway..."Tucker said as he held Sam back.
"Sorry again about intruding..."Jazz apologized while Sam kept glaring.
Danny and Mandie soon left to enjoy the rest of their date, while Sam was still furious.
"How could you guys let him go with that lunatic?!..."Sam yelled, angry.
Jazz and Tucker frowned.
"Sam, enough. I understand that this situation might be concerning but what you are doing is obsessive and pushes personal boundaries to near clinical levels..."Jazz said.
"Besides, Danny is a big boy. I think he's old enough to make his own decisions..."Tucker said. "He doesn't need you "keeping an eye on him" just because you're jealous that he has a new girlfriend..."Tucker said, getting to the point.
"I am NOT jealous! I am just trying to protect him from that maniac!..."Sam insisted.
Tucker and Jazz both rolled their eyes at her denial.
"Fine, if you wanna keep being in denial about your obvious feelings for my brother, that's your choice but stop trying to interfere with my brother's love life. Danny might be clueless at times but he's not an idiot. If he thinks Mandie deserves a chance and if she really has done all the things he said she did, then I think we can give her the benefit of the doubt..."Jazz said, before frowning at her.
"Besides, spying on his dates, yelling at him and trying to instigate things and recruiting others friends into pressuring him into breaking up with a girl out of jealousy is both very wrong, controlling, and kind of scary. I'm pretty sure there is a term for that in my psychology books..."She said, arms crossed.
Sam was offended to hear this but her stubbornness continued. She was convinced of Mandie's intentions were darker than provided, she is sure of it...or that is what she keeps telling herself, anyway.
"I can't believe you are buying into this whole "she's changed" malarkey!..."Sam snapped.
"It's not "malarkey" to try and help someone change and show them a better way to live their life. I've been studying and reading on psychology since the 4th grade and I know that it is possible to change and alter habitual routines for the better. The fact she likes Danny is a good enough reason for her to try..."Jazz argued.
"Plus, it's not like this is the first time one of our enemies had gone straight. Remember Princess Dora..."Tucker said. "She kidnapped you and tried to marry you off to her brother and you still chose to help her out and now she's one of our only ghostly friends..."He reminded.
"That's completely different. Aragon was a sexist, abusive creep who frightened her and treated her like a slave. She was being used as a tool by him and was punished if she didn't do as he said! She thought she didn't have a choice until I showed her that she is just as powerful as that creep and doesn't need to be pushed around by him!..."Sam reminded.
"True, Aragon was the real villain and yes, Dora was one of his victims, but it doesn't change the fact that she did carry out his orders, even if she was being forced to. You did find it in you to forgive her, help her out and show her that she doesn't need to keep living like a doll..."He reminded.
"Sure, it's not completely fair to compare Dora's situation with Mandie's since yeah, it's not the same but the fact remains that at the time, we had seen her as an enemy but you went out of your way to try and show her a better life and help her become a stronger person..."He said.
"Danny is trying to help Mandie become a better person and he seems to have faith that it can be done. The fact that she didn't attack us with her flame sword or trap us to go and have Danny all to herself is a sign of progress..."He pointed out.
Sam frowned, hating this.
"I hate it when you guys make any sense..."She grumbled.
Jazz and Tucker both sighed, knowing that she is still gonna be stubborn.
"This jealousy act got old a LONG time ago!..."Tucker thought, exhausted.
"I really hope that she learns to control this attitude before she does something to push my brother away..."Jazz thought, hoping that their friendship won't get affected by this.
The trio of teens soon left, Jazz and Tucker needing to be firm to keep Sam from going back to spying on the couple, unless she wants Mandie to cross a line that she promised not to cross.
With Danny and Mandie
"I can't believe she spied on us again..."Danny grumbled, annoyed by Sam.
"I see that your female friend is still as "charming" as ever..."Mandie said sarcastically, looking mad. "As well as territorial..."She muttered.
Danny herd this and sighed.
"I'm sorry. I found out that she had spied on us a while back...and as soon as she learned we were going steady, she involved my friend and sister. I didn't tell you that she tried to spy on us since I didn't want to risk a fight between you two but I guess she doesn't mind the risk..."He said.
"You should tell me if someone is foolish enough to make such a decision..."Mandie said. "I know things are different on earth but when Boudacians discover they are being stalked, they instinctively get defensive and attack the stalker, since it's usually because an enemy is trying to either ambush them, kill them or make unwanted advances..."She said, crossing her arms, thinking of Brutus.
Danny hated hearing this, even more since he can't exactly blame that mindset.
"Well, that's actually not too different from Earth and from a certain point of view, that can be considered self-defense but Sam is just being REALLY over protective and stubborn..."He said, frustrated.
"Stubborn indeed..." Mandie fumed.
"Again, sorry..."He apologized.
Mandie sighed, knowing that she can't be angry at him for the actions of someone else, but she still didn't like this.
"You are not to blame for HER actions, but I am going to make it clear now that I am not fond of that gothic female and will not tolerate any more of her antics and will notify her of the consequences should she continue..."She said, her frustrations clear.
Danny groaned.
"I almost can't even blame her for feeling that way..."He thought as the alien beauty grumbled, scrunching up her face for a moment.
"I still can't believe that she had to go and spoil such a romantic moment between us...it's unforgivable..."Mandie said, pouting.
Danny saw this and placed a hand on her shoulder, calming her down. He guided her away, changing the subject back to their date and thought of something that might cheer her up a bit.
"Well, we're alone now and since it's still a couple of blocks to the Nasty Burger...maybe we can take our time..."Danny suggested.
Mandie instantly perked up upon hearing that, directing herself towards him and looking happy and enamored.
"Oh, Darling..."Mandie purred in a love-struck way before she lunged at him, kissing him straight on the lips.
"That helped..."Danny thought as he kissed her back.
The two remained like this for about a minute before pulling away, taking a breath and sending each other flirty looks.
"You know how to make me happy..."Mandie said in a coy way.
"I sure do..."Danny said in a similar way.
Before they could kiss again, his ghost sense went off and they both knew what this means.
"Of course..."He muttered, knowing this would be cut short.
"Whomever dares to interrupt us...is going to suffer!..."Mandie said as her eyes flashed red, determined to deal with this "mood killer".
"Aw, how sweet...two lovebirds together cooing, how...nauseating..."Was heard.
Danny and Mandie looked up and glared when they saw who it was that interrupted them.
"PLASMIUS!..."Danny said.
"You again! How dare you interrupt is, Blue Freak!..."Mandie snarled, furious at the sight of him.
Vlad just sent them a smirk.
"Ah, you remember me...how flattering..."'Vlad said sarcastically, getting looks from the teenagers. "You can take off that ridiculous disguise. I know for the fact that this young lady is that alien princess. Next time, if you try to disguise yourself, I suggest not keeping that ridiculous, oddly colored hair that's halfway close to Rapunzel's..."He mocked.
Mandie growled at that.
"WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT MY HAIR?!..."Mandie snarled, looking ready to tear his head off for that remark.
"With "charm" like that, you wonder why you're still single in your forties!..."Danny said sarcastically as he changed forms.
"I am not surprised a weak and ugly troll like you is without a mate at such a late if you try, aren't you acting too desperate?..."Mandie quipped, deactivating her fake-i-fier.
Danny laughed at this and Vlad glowered.
"I AM NOT A WEAK AND UGLY TROLL! AND I AM NOT DESPERATE! IT'S ONLY BECAUSE OF DANIEL'S IDIOT FATHER STEALING THE LOVE OF MY LIFE! BUT ONCE I AM FINISHED WITH MY PLANS AND GET RID OF HIM, MY BEAUTIFUL MADDIE WILL BE ALL MINE! I'LL MAKE SURE OF IT!..."Vlad yelled, looking deranged.
Mandie blinked as she stared, watching as Vlad ranted and sent him an unimpressed look.
"Was I ever that obsessive around you?..."Mandie asked, glancing at the ghost boy.
"Oh, please...you might have been pushy and crazy but you were never as bad as him..."Danny said as he jerked his thumb to Vlad.
Mandie smiled.
"Aw, thanks..."She said, before pausing. "I think..."She said, unsure how to take that.
"Oh please. You two are sickening...and stop acting like I can't hear everything you are saying!..."Vlad yelled.
"Oh, we know you can hear us, we just don't care..."Danny quipped, irritating his foe as he flew up.
Mandie joined him with jet boots as she readied herself.
"Prepare to face greater pain, like none before!..."Mandie cried.
"Oh, please. Last time I went easy on you. Now face the full wrath of Vlad Plasmius..."Vlad retorted as he fired.
Mandie used her sword to deflect the blast and quickly put on her battle armor, the one that is ghost proof.
"You ruined my mood and interrupted my date! When I'm through with you, you'll NEVER be able to spawn offspring the old fashioned way!..."She said, raising her sword, making her intentions clear.
"My, you certainly picked a winner, Daniel..."Vlad said sarcastically, trying not to show how unnerved he was by that threat.
"She's saner than you are and she has a better chance of getting a date with me than you do with my mom!..."Danny fired back, started things with a couple of ecto-blasts as Mandie charged forward.
Vlad took his cape in front, disappearing in a vortex of energy as he teleported behind Danny. He would have taken Danny out, had Mandie not shot forth flames from her blade.
"Insolent alien brat!..."He grumbled.
"This is the least what you deserve for interrupting my wonderful date with my darling..."Mandie said, slashing forth a wave of fire.
Such an attack was knocked away effortlessly by Vlad. The elder halfa would have gloated, but he noticed how Danny wasn't disproving the girl's words. He noticed a change in their dynamic and didn't like it. Still, he couldn't resist pushing buttons.
"I see that she's finally gotten a hold of you. I guess even you can't resist the offer of ruling an entire planet, Daniel..."Vlad said, thinking he was in it for the power.
"Oh, please, I'm not like you Vlad. I'm not power hungry or shallow enough to be with someone for money and power. Like I said when we met, money and power can't buy me!..."Danny said.
"He's right. He rejected the offer to be my king countless times, but he's finally warming up to to the idea of courting...or dating me as you humans call it..."Mandie said in a cute way.
"How childish! Even when you have the opportunity of a lifetime, you waste it on such trivialities. You're just like your idiot father..."Vlad said, making Mandie angry at that remark.
"How dare you insult my boyfriend despite being single! Or the man who may become my father-in-law!..."Mandie snapped as her hair went aflame as she charged.
Vlad was almost intimidated by the angry display but decided to keep provoking her.
"I see you've made the same poor decision as his mother..." Vlad said.
The alien princess growled at his patronizing attitude, getting more aggressive.
"I'm gonna tear you apart! I haven't forgotten the last time we met!..." Mandie snarled.
"Nor have my birds..." Vlad said, gesturing to his Vultures, who appeared and were now hiding behind him.
"Uh... hi!..." One said before going back to hiding.
"I'm going to grill those three..." Mandie said under her breath.
"Well, just thought I'd let you know... I'll always be watching..." He said.
"Watch this!..."Mandie yelled as she then suddenly pulled out a large bazooka and aimed at the enemies.
"Uh... where did you hide that?..." Danny asked, since she didn't have that a moment ago.
"I don't think I'm willing to divulge that..." Mandie admitted.
She then fired it but Vlad dodged but the bazooka ended up vaporizing a wrecking ball and a structure in a nearby construction site, vaporizing them instantly. There were no people working there today, so no one was injured but Vlad saw this and groaned since it was something he was paying for.
"And there goes my new mall..."Vlad groaned, upset his latest investment is getting such a step back.
He and his minions dodged again whdn she fired ond more time and the man realized the girl had plenty more shots left. While he could take her, the resulting damage was incentive enough to leave, especially since he was the one in charge of this project.
Ghost fighting was easy, but politics was a curse.
I'm about to make you wish you were building a hospital!" Mandie said, while the villain/politician made his next move.
"Ah... well... I have a meeting today so... bye!..." Vlad said before disappearing.
The vultures realize he was gone and they flew off quickly.
"HEY, GET BACK HERE!..."Mandie yelled, not wanting her enemies to get away without paying for what they did.
However, they obviously weren't coming back.
Mandie's bazooka powered down as the weapon compacted itself. The warrior princess growled, almost throwing her weapon to the ground in rage at the thought of such a coward fleeing combat before it properly started.
"Wow...that was faster than normal..."Danny muttered. He was unsure how to take the fight just now.
But the facts were; Vlad was gone now and Mandie was livid.
"I cannot believe that Blue Freak escaped again! That coward!..."She said, outraged.
"That's Vlad for you. He acts all high and mighty, but the second things get tough for him, he bolts..."Danny said, annoyed.
"This is the third time he has interrupted us and that is three times too many. I say we track him down and show him just what happens when you dare to challenge two mighty warriors like us!..."Mandie said, her sword burning more intensely, making it clear what she wishes to do.
Danny knew that she was all fired up to take down Vlad but he also knew that the man had backup plans for these kinds of occasions. He was also suspicious by how quickly he and his goons retreated and didn't trust it.
"While I will admit that would be tempting, confronting Vlad on his turf would like waking into a trap. We'd just be walking into his clutches and could end up helping his plans. We might end up giving him the keys to your kingdom if your not careful!..."Danny said, since he knew his foe is slippery like that.
"We cannot let that fool walk away freely after what he has done. He must pay!..."Mandie said, wanting to inflict pain on their mutual foe.
"Believe me, no one wants to kick Vlad's butt more than I do but he's my arch enemy for a reason. He's got 20 years more experience with his powers, and he's more slippery than an eel...and twice as ugly..."He added.
"He's trouble and I know how much he is. Trust me, you can't fight him upfront without being prepared for everything..."He said and Mandie looked upset.
"I promise that I will deal with him when the time is right but if we just go charging in blindly, he'll use that against us..."Danny explained, knowing from experience how tricky his foe is.
Mandie heard this and pouted, giving her sword a slash in the air before putting it away. She huffed angrily.
"You sound just like my mother..."The alien complained. "She always says that we can't just charge into battle without any plans or contingencies. We need to strategize and plan out our opponent's potential advantages until we are three moves ahead of our enemies. Fight smarter, not just harder..."She said.
Danny blinked.
"Your mom sounds like she's way ahead of the game..."He said, both impressed and worried about whatever plans she might have if she ever comes to Earth.
Mandie sighed.
"I know, but it's so boring just sitting around and waiting for something to happen..."She complained, crossing her arms. "It's more fun to take on a foe head on and end things with swift victory..."She said.
"Look, while I admit that it would be fun to knock Vlad's teeth out, we can't just go after him all willy-nilly, especially since it's obvious that he ambushed us just to rile you up and probably lure us into some kind of trap. We gotta play it smart and bide our time. At least until we have dirt on him and a way to keep him from playing dirty..."He said and the alien sighed.
"Fine, but next time, I'm going to tear off an arm..."She said, crossing her arms.
Thankfully, Danny knew how to improve her mood.
"Come on, I know a good way to forget about that cheese head and his ugly face. How about I get you a mighty meaty cheese melt and after that, we go get some of that ice cream you won..."He suggested.
Mandie's frowned drop upon hearing that, replaced with euphoric joy, but she tried to act composed and civil.
"Very well, but just to be clear, if I come across that Blue Freak again, I am going to personally show him what happens when you invoke the wrath of a Boudacian..."Mandie said, eyes briefly glowing red.
Danny chuckled dryly upon hearing that.
"I won't get in your way of thrashing him, just be careful and watch what he does..."He said and the alien princess calmed down. "I know your tough, Mandie but I don't want you to get hurt or ambushed by him..."He said, being earnest.
"That's sweet, but a true Boudician warrior knows no weakness..."She said, sounding serious.
Before Danny realized it, she suddenly yanked him forward into a hug, holding him tight.
"Still, it's strangely nice to hear how much you care about my well-being..."The alien princess said, sounding perkier as she quickly kissed him, her bad mood gone now.
Danny smiled as he linked arms with his girlfriend. Her hugs were more comforting when he returned them.
After she pulled away, she got serious.
"But just know that for our next date, I wish to go some place where we can have more privacy and NOT deal with people trying to spy on us or spoil our private time..."She said, hating what happened earlier.
"Okay, sounds fair..."Danny said, shrugging.
"Good..."Mandie said, pleased before using the fake-i-fier and was in her disguise again.
The two shared a kiss and walked away, hoping to enjoy the rest of the night as the two teens soon went back to their date. For today was a small victory, but tomorrow was another battle.
And a battle it will be...one she plans on winning.

1) Sometimes.
2) It's more like he is willing to give others a chance if he sees that they are truly want to change for the better.
3) I wanted Mandie dream of what life would be with Danny and my friends helped me out with the details.
Simm36: Gracias :)
PINK-samiam: You are right that Danny is a good influence to Mandie and is showing her that there is more to life than being some galactic conqueror.
Hmilles02: Thank you :)
Here are my responses to your question:
1) I guess in a way, it can be seen like it.
2) Not really. He might be a little clueless at time but he is not an idiot. He only wants to give second chances to people whom he believes truly are capable of changing.
3) Not at the moment.
4) Ember McLain.
5) She is roughly around 3 inches taller than Danny in her normal form.
