Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!

Chapter 52: The Courtship III

It was Monday and Danny was in the middle of trying to focus on class.

Dash was busy sending notes to Paulina, asking for a date...and getting rejected by her as always, Kwan was silently flirting with Star, while Tucker was fiddling with his PDA and Sam was sending him glares.

He knew why though. She still doesn't approve of his relationship with Mandie, but a certain discovery she made a few days ago that only made matters worse.

Mainly, the discovery of how...cozy that he and Mandie were getting and the physical proof of it.

"Sheesh, what's her deal? It's been days already!..."He thought, annoyed.

He was referring to what happened on his last date with Mandie...and the end result of that date.

Especially with how it actually ended. And how many people had seen those end results, starting with his parents.

FLASHBACK

Mandie had just dropped him back on earth and then used hyper speed to return to her planet. However, an unwanted visit from Skulker prevented Danny from arriving on time and missing his curfew.

And now, he has to deal with his parent's scolding him.

"You're late again, young man!..."Jack said in a strict voice.

"Oh, poop!..."Danny muttered, knowing this won't be fun.

However, he also had a certain something still on him that he rather they NOT see, for obvious reasons.

"Gotta do my best to hide this!..."He thought as his parents kept scolding him.

"Young man, do you know what time it is?…"Maddie said, looking angry since he was late again.

Danny cringed as he heard his mother's voice echoing through the house.

"Why is the universe so eager to mess with me?..." The ghost boy thought, not looking forward to the scolding he was about to receive.

As his parents walked up, he turned away, keeping his head down and shoulders up. The last thing that he wanted was for his folks to see all the "love marks" that Mandie left on him during their date, which are STILL on his neck are for all to see.

He knew that it would take a while before they could fade, he still tried to hide them as much as possible. However, he was facing away from his folks and they were losing their patience.

"Daniel James Fenton, look at me when I'm talking to you!…"Maddie commanded.

Danny didn't turn, still trying to weasel his way out of embarrassment, and tried to make an excuse.

"Can I just look away in shame instead?…"The dark haired boy asked, still refusing to move in a way that would expose him.

"Now son, as your parents we understand not wanting to look us in the face at times…"Jack started, his voice sounded sympathetic before he got angry. "But not when you're in trouble!…"He yelled.

Danny cringed, and still tried to make an escape.

"I'd like to just... be grounded now..."He said, trying to make an excuse to go to his room.

"Please don't look at my neck..."Danny thought, hoping they did not notice.

"We are not done talking to you, young man!..."Maddie said sternly as she grabbed him by the arm as he tried to leave.

Unfortunately, she moved her son in a way that he was trying to avoid.

"NO!..."He thought in dread as he tried to cover up again.

It was too late, they did see what he was hiding when he unintentionally lowered his shoulders, thus exposing himself.

"No..."He let out as he saw that his parents were now agape, like they saw him commit are a crime.

"Are those..."Maddie paused, as if she just discovered his secret.

"Hickies?..."Jack finished, gasping hard.

Danny felt his entire face burn red and felt embarrassed. He tried to cover them and avoid eye contact with them.

"N-No!..."He stammered, looking positively mortified right now.

Can you blame him?!

He just spent the last few hours in a space ship making out with a super hot, alien princess who almost got carried away and would have gone all the way with him if he did not stop her!

Now, his parents are seeing the end result of that. Talk about embarrassing!

"Uh...well...uh...I got attacked by... bugs! Yeah, bugs..."Danny said as he figured his excuse was doomed as soon as he said it.

To his surprise, his dad suddenly grinned while his mother seemed concerned. Not surprising, as his mom demanded answers.

"Danny...who did that?..."Maddie asked and pointed at his neck.

The ghost boy gulped, and tried to come up with a better excuse.

"I...uh...accidentally walked into a few poles and I got bruised...on my neck..."Danny lied, but his folks weren't buying it.

Even worse, his dad had a teasing smile on his face and couldn't keep his mouth shut.

"Or maybe a certain little lady couldn't keep her hands off you, am I right?..."Jack said as he chuckled, ribbing him playfully.

"DAD!..."A mortified, red-faced Danny yelled, wanting to get away from this.

"I'm right, aren't I?..."Jack said, chuckling.

"Is this the reason why you've been out so late recently? Is that why you don't call?..."Maddie asked, dreading the answer.

"What? No...I mean...well...maybe...I mean...uhh, no!..."Danny said, trying to lie but his parents kept up the pressure.

"You can stop lying already, we already know..."Maddie said as she sent him a stern look before she sighed.

She could already guessed the answer and while part of her may understand what goes on in the mind of the teenager, she still needed to set some ground rules with her son, especially for stuff like this.

"Daniel Fenton. I know that you're not a child anymore...that you are growing up and meeting girls...but you are still our son, living under our roof, so you will follow our rules, which means being home on time and letting us know if you're running late..."The mother said. "Or informing us if you're going on a date and when and where that's gonna happen..."She said, hands on her hips and sending a strict look to him.

"Mom..."Danny said, but his father cut him off.

"Your mother's right, son. Look, I'm happy that you and Sam finally decided to date but-..."Jack said but his son looked like his father just admitted he's a flying pig.

"It's not Sam! Geez, why does everyone assume that?!..."Danny said, irritated by that remark. "Her name is Mand-..."Danny began but stopped and covered his mouth, realizing what he had exposed due to being so pressured and cornered by his his parents.

Unfortunately for him, the damage was done and his parents were now focusing their attention all on him.

"It's not Sam?..."Maddie asked, almost looking surprised now.

"And her name starts with "Man", huh?..."Jack said, interested. "Who is she? Do we know her? Does she even at your school? And just know that we're not gonna let you leave this spot until you tell us, so just be open..."He said, wanting to know all of the details.

Danny groaned, knowing that he's trapped and decided to give the fabricated version of the truth for now.

"Her name is Mandy Hurtz..."The ghost boy said, using Mandie's alias that they made up.

"Interesting name? How did you two little lovebirds meet?..."Jack asked, bombarding his son with questions.

Danny took a deep breath and tried to give out only the necessary information about his relationship with the alien princess.

"Well, I ran into her when she was visiting town...and...she challenged me...to a game...at the arcade..."He lied, not making eye contact with them.

"After that, well...one thing lead to another and she asked me out. Since then, we've been hanging out and going on some dates. We just kinda became a thing..."Danny said, giving the most water-downed and acceptably possible version of the story.

"I see. And you only now told us..."Maddie said, looking upset to be left in the dark.

Danny cringed.

"I...was still getting to know her and I wasn't exactly sure where we are heading to be honest..."The ghost boy said, but his mom still looked disappointed that he kept this from them.

"Is this Mandy girl pretty?..."Jack asked, causing his wife to send him an annoyed look.

"She's gorgeous, very much..."Danny said, not lying this time.

"Well...gorgeous or not, I still prefer if you had told us from the start and came home on time. Not doing who knows what with a girl that we don't know anything about. Not to mention, we haven't met her yet..."Maddie said, being strict with him.

"Sorry, Mom. I wasn't sure how to break it to you and...well, it wasn't the right time yet..."Danny said, which his mother found suspicious.

"Why is that?..."She asked, pressing on.

"Uh... I mean, I wasn't sure how to say it..." He said, trying to hide that she's an alien who originally wanted him to father her children for the sake of his powers.

"So, when are you gonna introduce us to your new lady?..."Jack asked with a teasing smile.

Danny gulped.

"Uh, well...she actually...lives out of town and doesn't come as much..."He lied, sweating hard.

"Well, I don't think a simple hello is much..."Maddie said, while her son chuckled nervously.

"You'd be surprised..."He muttered.

"Why's that?..." Maddie asked.

"She's not ready to meet you, since...well, I don't think her Dad approves of us just yet, at least that's what Mandy told me. Apparently, he's really picky about who she dates..."Danny said, not technically lying this time.

"Believe me, I know what's that like..."Jack muttered, recalling his first encounter with Maddie's parents, particularly her father that was less than pleasant to say the least.

"Only because you accidentally banged my father's car when I brought you home to introduce you to my parents..."Maddie said, recalling that first meeting.

"I keep telling you that it wasn't my fault that your dad hogged the whole driveway and I barely had any space to park!..."Jack complained, but his wife ignored him.

"Anyway, she lives out of town, her dad is really picky and she's trying to break the news to him in her own way. So, that's why you two haven't met her yet..."Danny said, as his mother sighed loudly.

"Well, you should have a talk with her and once you two sort out those issues, we'd like to meet this Mandy girl face to face..."Maddie said, while her son had a nervous look on his face.

"Uh, we can try..."He said as his parents both nodded.

"I hope it's soon, so I can meet the girl that did this..." Maddie said, gesturing to Danny's neck, still not looking happy.

"Mom, calm down. It's not like we did anything we shouldn't. I swear!..."Danny said.

"I believe you, Danny. But I'm still your mother and it's my job to keep an eye on you and know the people you date. So, I rather meet her sooner rather than later..."Maddie said, making it clear that this is non-negotiable.

"I'll...see what I can do..."Danny said, hating this.

"This is great, I can't wait to meet her and blab on and on about ghosts..."Jack said, smiling.

"Meet her..."Thee ghost boy thought in dread.

He briefly imagined a scenario where his parents and Mandie met, where his parents would mistake her for a ghost and attack her, and then go all trigger-happy and "mad scientist mode" once they learn she's an alien. Mandie, on the other hand, would likely throttle them if they attack her and then, upon realizing that they HIS parents, would go from fighter to brown-noser and try to get their blessing for his hand in marriage.

This train of thought actually scared him half to death, while the other half was felt dizzy from thinking of all the explaining he'd to do for all parties involved if that happened.

He was not ready for that. He wasn't ready to have them learn his secret or his alien girlfriend, at least not like this.

"I don't think so..."He grumbled, dreading the idea.

He would need some excuse to keep them from meeting her, at least until he figured something out.

"I bet she's wonderful. Maybe we can invite her parents over here for dinner too one of these days..."Jack said, unaware how different she was.

Danny groaned, knowing that things are gonna be hard for a while as he tried to weasel his way out of this mess.

"I so need to think how to handle this..." He thought, as his parents kept talking to him about still needing to mind his curfew, girlfriend or no girlfriend.

End of Flashback

Present Time

Danny sighed.

"That was painful..."He thought, still mortified by that experience.

However, it was nothing compared to how Sam and Tucker found out and reacted the next morning.

FLASHBACK

The following morning

Danny was now in his room, groaning after his parents gave him their talk. He he laid down on his bed trying hard to calm himself down, still reeling from that interrogation.

He had a tough night sleeping and just woke up a little ago, his parents already gone due to chasing the box ghost and Jazz had gone to tutor some of the failing jocks, leaving the ghost boy alone for the time being.

Most of the hickies that Mandie left on him had already faded but he still had a couple that were gonna take a little longer before they had, especially a noticeable one on his neck.

"We need to be more careful..."He thought as sighed at them.

However, his friends showed up for training and he was not prepared for what happened next.

"Danny..."Was heard.

"Guys?! You're here?!..."Danny said, startled.

"What's with you? Why didn't you answer our calls?..."Tucker asked, actually worried for him.

"Talk, and it better not have been with the evil princess..."Sam said, impatiently.

"She's not evil... anymore..." Danny said, lowering his arms and accidentally exposing his neck.

His friends saw them and they were stunned. Or actually, one of them was stunned and the other was just plain angry.

"Are those... hickies?!..." Sam asked, in a dangerously low tone.

"Uh...maybe..."Danny said, deciding to give up since he was already caught.

"Did the alien babe give them to you?..." Tucker asks, smiling a bit.

"Her name is Mandie, and yeah... it was when I was on her spaceship..."Danny said, only to regret saying that when he saw their reactions.

Sam gasped loudly like she was choking on air. Her jaw stuttered as she attempted to retract it. A hand was waved in front of her, but no response came till seconds later.

"You went onto her spaceship!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!…"Sam yelled. "Don't you remember what happened the last time you were in here?!…"The goth yelled as she jammed her finger into the ghost boy's chest.

After a few stabs, his collar was grabbed, forcing him over.

"I do, alright...and I didn't have a repeat of what happened the last time. So relax!..."Danny said, while Sam looked at him like he was mad.

"Are you serious?! You WILLINGLY went in there?! Do you WANT to be her slave/trophy husband/stallion?!…"She yelled at him, raising her arms in frustration.

"Of course not!…"Danny shouted, pushing her away.

"But after everything we have been through, I decided to put my faith in Mandie, and nothing bad happened while I was on her ship. Heck, I got to even drive it!…"Danny said, amazing his other friend.

"Wait?! For real?! You actually got to drive it!?…"Tucker exclaimed as he pushed Sam aside, and rushed to his best friend.

"What was it like!? Tell! Me! Everything!…"He asked, looking excited.

So did Danny, who still wasn't over the fact that he got to drive a real life SPACE SHIP yesterday.

"It was AWESOME! Sure, I might have almost crashed into several dozen asteroids and nearly killed us, but it was the most amazing and terrifying thing I ever did! I have no regret!..."Danny admitted, space geeking right now.

Sam, however, was simply appalled upon hearing this. Just hearing that he was with that alien was enough, but hearing he almost crashed was something else.

"You almost crashed in space?!..." She went, making him wince.

"Yeah, but we didn't. So, no damage..."Danny said.

"No damage?! Do you hear yourself?! You just admitted that you nearly got killed?!..."Sam said, shaking him a bit.

Danny pushed her off and tried to calm her down.

"Hey, I'm still alive. And I have no regrets. Plus, Mandie says that driving a space ship isn't easy..."He said, frowning while Tucker blinked as Sam glared at him.

"What do you mean by that?..."Tucker asked.

"According to Mandie…she went through six years of training to be certified to fly a ship…"Danny said, as he rubbed his arm awkwardly. "I also might have traumatized her a little…"He said, recalling how scared she was after he drove that ship.

Tucker and even Sam seemed surprised by that, the goth even dropped her glare for a moment for a surprised look.

"Really?..."They asked.

"Yeah..."Danny nodded.

"Enough that I promised her that I won't drive her ship again until I get my own license..."He said, looking rather embarrassed by that fact.

"Until then, she pretty much made me agree to her being the one to drive her ship whenever we're in that thing..."He said, while his gothic friend shook her head in disgust.

"You're a fool for trusting her..." Sam said with a scowl.

"But... he's driven a spaceship. That's important to know, right?..." Tucker asked, but the goth girl sent him a piercing glare.

"WHO CARES ABOUT SOME STUPID SPACE SHIP?!..." Sam shouted.

"But... it's so cool. Plus, Danny is okay now, aren't ya man?..." Tucker asked.

"I'm fine. Better than ever. If anything, it was the funnest date I've ever been on..."Danny said, while his female friend kept sending him accusing and disgusted looks.

"I can't believe that I'm hearing this! Is one ride in an alien spacecraft really worth selling your body to that space tyrant?!..."She yelled, thinking that the ghost boy was way too easily corruptible by a pretty face from outer space.

Danny snapped out his space fanboy moment, and glared at her, actually offended by what he just heard.

"What the heck are you talking about?! I didn't do anything like that!..."He yelled.

"Not yet, you mean! You've gone from super hero to being that space case's boy-toy! The same space case who is probably still planning to invade the earth, even as we speak!..."Sam snapped at him, almost frothing at the mouth at this point.

"Sam, relax! It's nothing like that. I'm not anyone's boy-toy! Plus, I told you that Mandie has changed. Plus, we talked about it and she promised that she wouldn't try to do anything more than kiss until after we get married..."Danny said, before realizing what he just said.

"I mean...if we get married..."He said, turning red.

"You would MARRY that monster?! Have you actually lost your mind?!..."Sam yelled, glaring at him.

"She's NOT a monster! She's changed! What's wrong with you, Sam?! Why can't you let bygones be bygones already?!..."Danny yelled.

"SHE TRIED TO MAKE YOU HER HUSBAND AND RAISE YOUR KIDS TO BE DESPOTS, THAT'S A MONSTER IF I HEARD ONE!..."Sam yelled, making the walls shake.

"It really doesn't matter what I say, does it?..." Tucker asked, once again ignored as his friends kept arguing about the alien princess.

"Look, I know Mandie can be a little crazy but I trust her. She's not an enemy anymore. Plus, it seems that Boudacians don't take too kindly to having kids outside of marriage, so even if she tried, she knows that she'd get in big trouble, so she won't..."Danny said.

"I can't believe that you're actually doing this..."Sam said, clutching her forehead in anger. "You're actually convinced that she's done a 180 on morality. She's already brainwashed you into loving her..."She said.

"I'm not brainwashed! I'm just willing to let her try and I'm not close minded like some people here!..."Danny spat.

"What did you just say to me?!..."Sam yelled, face completely red.

"Okay... I'm just gonna wait until you're done..." Tucker went as he sat down, as they kept yelling at each other and ignored him.

"Sam, I trust Mandie. She's not trying to hurt anyone anymore. So, you should at least trust me and my judgement!..."Danny yelled.

"Because you're hormones are obviously killing your brain cells, that's why!..."Sam yelled.

"What did you just say to me?!..."Danny yelled as they went back to yelling and arguing with each other.

Tucker watched this and cringed, hating that he can't say anything to stop them.

"This is getting ugly..."He thought in worry as his two friends kept screaming at the other.

"Fine, if you're gonna let your hormones do the talking, then fine, but don't say I didn't tell you so after she decides to lure you to a wedding venue and then her bedroom, and afterwards, starts demanding you help her pick out baby names while she invades Earth!..."The goth girl yelled, turning away.

Sam then stormed out of Fenton Works, looking livid and enraged. Danny saw this and sighed, making no effort to go after her. He stood there, arms crossed and face contorted in anger.

"I can't believe her. She won't listen! She's so stubborn!..."He muttered, mad and sad at the same time.

Tucker saw this and sighed sadly, hating this so much but tried to lighten the mood.

"I know... so... how did the ship feel flying?!..."The tech geek went, trying to change the subject.

Unfortunately, Danny wasn't feeling so enthusiastic anymore, thanks to Sam.

End of Flashback

Present Time

Danny sighed, tired and tried to ignore the headache he was getting, courtesy of his overprotective goth friend.

"What am I gonna do to convince her that Mandie isn't an enemy anymore? Why is she still so stubborn?..."He thought as the bell rang, signaling the end of class.

He walked out and headed straight to his locker, not even bothering to wait for his friends since he wanted to be alone right now. As he walked, he noticed a nearby couple was together, talking, flirting and seemingly happy to be around each other.

"So, wanna see that new Raven Nightshade moving after school?..."One girl, Mia, said to her boyfriend, football player.

"Sure, Babe. That and maybe we can get some pizza afterwards..."Her boyfriend, a guy named Jake, said to her.

"Awesome..."Mia said, smiling as he kept flirting with her.

Danny saw this and couldn't help but be reminded of a certain lady in his life, one who he was getting closer to. One who he knew has changed for the better and had faith that it was all true.

"I don't care what Sam says. I know Mandie has changed...and...I really like her. That should be enough..."He thought, maintaining his resolve as he placed his items in his locker.

His mind still went to the alien beauty and he thought about their last date, as well as their relationship in general. How they went from enemies, to friends, to more than that at this point, though he knows he can't say that he loves her.

He's not ready for that...still, he knew that he cared about her a lot and was attracted to her. He also recalled how she could go from flirting with him, challenging him to spars and then trying to make out with him, all while admitting she still had full intentions of marrying him as soon as she, in her own words "wins his hand", whatever that means.

However, he did know that her attempts had gone from forceful and creepy, to somewhat humorous and rather endearing in it's own way.

It's strange, but he had no reason or desire to complain right now.

"Mandie really is something else..."He thought as he closed his locker, almost chuckling as he thought about how much their relationship has evolved in such a short amount of time.

While Mandie might have marriage set as an eventuality between them, he was just content with what they have now and getting to know each other better. He had no plans for marriage, at least for now.

"I just hope she stops trying to tempt me so much..."He thought as he left the area, wanting to get his mind off her for a while.

At the same time, he wondered what she was going through.

Meanwhile

On Boudacia

Mandie was in bliss, feeling top of the world.

"What a beautiful morning..."Mandie said, sounding happy.

Can you blame her?

She is young, strong and has the most amazing guy ever as her future mate. She just had to convinced him the last part, but she is hopeful.

Very hopeful.

"I wonder if he secretly yearns for marriage at this point. Or at least is a little less shy about me bringing up the subject. Either way, I'm happy with him..."She thought as she practically skipped in her step, feeling lighter than air.

After what happened in her ship yesterday, it seems that she won't have to convince him for too long. They may wed soon enough, or at least, she might be able to convince him to move to the next step in their relationship sooner than she thought.

"Good morning, everyone..." She said to all passing her, including her servants, who were surprised by the friendly greeting from the princess.

"G-Good morning, you're highness..."Dieana said, while the warrior princess was smiling.

"Lovely day, isn't it?..."Mandie said, still smiling.

"Yes, I suppose so..."Dieana said, still not used to this.

"Well...I best be going. Carry on..."Mandie said, walking away, still with that grin on her face.

Her servants noticed this and seemed a little bewildered as to why the usually temperamental princess was so serene right now. Usually she either barks orders or ignores them. She's hardly ever in a good mood, but lately, that seems to be the case with her.

It was odd, to say the least.

"Seems like the princess is in a strangely good mood today..."Dieana commented as she was changing the royal curtains.

"Do you believe the rumors that she finally found herself a mate are true then?..."Another handmaiden said, as she put away the dirty clothes in the hover basket to be washed later.

"Perhaps, but I just know that it's not Brutis..."Dieana said, free to talk with her gone. "After how she's treated him, he should move on..."She said, crossing her arms.

"I'll say, she's made it clear that she doesn't deserve him. Plus, Brutis is so dreamy. I'd marry him in a heart-beat..."The other handmaiden said, fawning over him.

"Back off, I've worked here longer and I saw him first..."Dieana said, using her seniority here.

"All's fair in love and war..."Her colleague said, and Dieana rolled her eyes.

The green haired servant ignored her, sighing as she went back to her chores, while the princess was out of her room.

Mandie, on the other hand, just left to go start her early morning training, positively beaming as she recalled her last special encounter and the handsome ghost boy who had conquered her heart.

"I wonder what Danny is doing right now..."She thought dreamily, joyful as she kept walking.

The alien princess sighed as she thought about him and their wonderful date...only to frown when she recalled what had happened after she returned home from that wonderful date.

"I still cannot believe that they caught me like that..."She thought, as she recalled a certain encounter once she returned home from her date.

FLASHBACK

Mandie had just gotten back home from her date with Danny and managed to successfully sneak back to the palace.

All the while, a certain memory keeps replaying inside her mind and she won't let it stop. Such as their date and their alone time in her ship, as well everything she and Danny did in her ship before they had to leave for home.

It was still enough to send shivers of pleasure down her spin and she likes it.

"My lips still tingle every time I think back to that moment. They just won't stop..."She thought, grinning as she recalled the fun they had in her spaceship.

That date was the best one she had with him so far. Though, she put a scarf on her to hide...the end results of that special date, but she had no regrets.

Sure, they had that rather traumatizing experience when her beloved had taken the wheel of the ship and nearly crashed it and later they had that rather...embarrassing talk but those unpleasant moment were soon forgotten and the rest of the time was spent expressing their love by kissing, hugging and whispering sweet nothings in the others ears as they got a little closer physically without crossing any serious lines.

It was glorious!

"I just can't wait for our next date, who knows what will happen then. Maybe I can even negotiate with him to spend one of our dates here on Boudacia? It couldn't hurt to ask, especially after all the progress that we have made in our relationship..."Mandie thought in bliss as she failed to notice her own mother walking up to her.

Mandie could've continued and spent the whole day fantasizing about it, but a very familiar voice snapped her back into reality.

"Mandie!..."Was heard.

The alien princess turned around to see her parents, who looked upset about something right now.

"Young lady, what on Boudacia do you think you're doing?..."Her mother scolded upon seeing her, seeing her act so differently.

"Oh, hello Mother, just embracing this wonderfully bright day within our empire..."Mandie said, shining her fang like smile at her parents.

"Mandie, where were you? And why are you wearing a scarf indoors?..."Her father demanded, looking suspicious.

"Uh, no reason...just grateful for today is all..."Mandie said, avoiding eye contact.

"You're lying. Remove it. NOW!..."Milee ordered, since she could always spot her daughter's weaknesses and lies in and out of the battlefield.

"Darn mother and her gloarksmen sharp eyes..."Mandie thought, as she knew that she was caught.

The alien princess reluctantly removed her scarf and her parents gasped once they saw what she had been trying to hide from them.

Numerous little marks all over her neck, and they aren't the kind of bruises one gets from battle or training. They were all courtesy of her beloved, some looked a little faded and others were still very much visible for all to see.

What are those?!…"King Maurus pointed to the various marks on his daughter...and they were not scars or bruises.

"Self... inflicted... injuries..."Mandie said, trying her best to lie but it didn't work.

He was in shock as his wife giggled openly.

"I believe our daughter had some fun with her suitor…"Queen Milee couldn't hold in her joy as she walked up to Mandie's smiling face.

Her father, however, was LIVID.

"MANDIE, WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?!..."Her father yelled, trying to snap his daughter out of her trance.

However, she still seemed to be in one, as she blushed and sighed dreamily.

"He was amazing, he makes me feel things like no one I've ever been with before. And he's funny too..."Mandie said, while her parents seemed concerned, but had very reactions to the sudden discovery.

"Young lady, please tell me that you didn't do what I think you have..."Milee said, while her husband looked ready to literally kill someone right now.

"I cannot believe this, you aren't even married yet and already have a divorce under your belt. Here, you are risking much with this suitor whom we know nothing of. Are you trying to disgrace yourself and run the risk of an illegitimate heir?!..."Her father yelled, misunderstanding the situation and not wanting such a risk.

"Oh dear..." Milee went, hearing such accusations.

"Father, calm down. I haven't mated yet if that's what you're worried about. We got carried away, but he and I know not to do such a thing..."Mandie said, telling the truth.

"You expect us to believe this?!..."Maurus yelled, sending a suspicious glare at his child.

"Why not?..."Mandie yelled, hating these accusations.

"We don't even know his name and we see the proof of your stupid actions, that's why!..."Maurus yelled, as he pointed at her neck.

"I didn't MATE with him or anyone else for that matter!..."Mandie yelled, while her father kept yelling at her.

Before he could accuse her anymore, Milee got between them.

"You're wasting your time yelling at her, Dear. She's not lying..."Milee said, shocking her husband.

"How do you know?..."Maurus asked, while his wife smirked.

"Because I'm her mother. I know everything..."She said, showing off her confident motherly smirk as she teases her husband.

Maurus looked annoyed before he turned to his daughter, before a glimmer of hope entered his mind.

"Is it Brutis?..."He asked, as he had hoped that she had changed her mind.

To his dismay, his daughter looked disgusted.

"EW! Never! I already told you that it would be a cold day on the sun before I'd ever do that with him! I don't even desire touching him aside from hitting him for being a fool!..."Mandie said, looking absolutely repulsed that her father would even ask her that.

"Then who is it? Why are you being so secretive? Why are you keeping him from us?! Why won't you present this so called suitor that you've picked out for yourself to us?!..."He yelled.

Mandie sighed.

"Father, I want to...but the suitor I am interested in and I have some...issues to work out for the time being, so now is not the best time to meet him or make any plans, much less for us to marry... at least for now..."Mandie said, breaking it down to her parents as gently as possible.

She did want to tell them about Danny and how he beat her in battle, but she didn't because it's not the best time. She knew that they'd probably either make Danny "fufill his duty" at gun point or try to destroy him for whatever reason due to being from a technically enemy world and for not marrying her yet. She knew that Danny isn't in any danger since he is strong enough to handle her folks...but she didn't want any tension between her parents and him, especially before they even had a chance to officially meet.

Not to mention, she still wanted to win Danny's hand in marriage first, before she introduced him to her parents. So, for now, she would wait until then.

Her father still didn't look like he believed her, but she continued.

"I promise that I have full intentions to make him my groom and to have a child with him afterwards, just not right now. He needs time. We're just taking things slow for the time being and making great progress..."Mandie said, trying to get him to see her reasoning.

Her father didn't like this, but her mother had a much different response to what her daughter just confessed. She seemed okay with it.

"I see..."Milee said.

"You see?!..." Maurus questioned.

"You will introduce us one day, correct?…"Milee asked, looking rather curious about her daughter's potential mate/husband.. "I do at least want to know the name of my future son-in-law..."She said, wanting to see for herself if this male was truly worthy as her daughter claims him to be.

This reply from the Queen caught both her husband and especially her daughter off guard, but for much different reasons.

Mandie blushed. Her head was too far up in the clouds to properly answer, but she nodded, pleasing her mother.

"It's a surprise. I promise that I'll introduce you guys to him once we have settled on an agreed time to meet each other's families, but you guys are gonna love him, I just know it..."Mandie said, looking for that day to come sooner rather than later.

"My. My. I haven't seen you like this since the the day you conquered your first planet back when you were barely grown out of your puppy fangs. He must be quite special then..."Milee said, as her curiosity of the identity of her daughter's future mate/husband was starting reach to its peak.

Her daughter smiled and nodded, so happy that her mother was being supportive.

"He is...and I'll be sure to introduce him to you and father soon enough, but I want it to be a surprise since I don't wanna spoil things..."Mandie said, as she could almost picture herself giving Danny a tour of her empire and perhaps later to her private bed chambers, before she realized where her thoughts were heading right now.

"One step at a time, Mandie. That day will come soon enough..."She thought, knowing that now is not the time to think about that.

King Maurus growled, stomping the end of his scepter onto the ground.

"Mandie, stop this nonsense and-..."He was cut off when his wife cut him off.

"Very well, Mandie. Just don't take too long, I do want to see my grandchildren sooner rather than later..."Milee said, making her daughter blush.

"Mother..."She said, as lemony yellow skin had just turned redder than crimson especially around her face.

"You know that it's one of your duties to marry and continue the family line. We are counting on you, my little monster..."Milee reminded, which caused the princess to roll her eyes a bit.

"I know, but you don't have to say it like that..."Mandie said, as she pouted in a tone that her mother is all too familiar with.

"Oh, I know and that's what makes it so much fun . Now go train, we have have another meeting with the generals later this evening..."Milee ordered.

"Yes, mother..."The princess said, happy that her mother was on her side.

As Mandie walked away, Maurus turned to his wife and immediately questioned her loudly at the top of his lungs.

"ARE YOU CRAZY, HOW COULD YOU ENTERTAIN THIS NONSENSE AND NOT DEMAND THAT HER TO SIMPLY FOLLOW THE TRADITIONAL LAWS OF MARRIAGE?! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!..."Maurus said.

His wife, however, sent him an icy glare that sent chills down his spine and throughout his whole body, which happens when he says something that he shouldn't around her, which happens more time than either them are willing to admit.

"Did you just insult me? Your wife and the queen of the all mighty Planet Boudacia, conqueror of hundreds of worlds? Did you really do so, my beloved husband?!..."She asked in a chilling tone, the exact same tone she used to tame Maurus in the past.

The king knew that he crossed a line and immediately backed off.

"I apologize, my precious. It's just that I do not understand your reasons to being so lenient with our daughter..."Maurus said, speaking calmly now.

"That's no excuse to speak to me like that..."His wife said, as she walked down the royal hallway with her husband following close behind her.

"And to answer your question, I know Mandie. If she was lying about a suitor, I would have figured it out by now. Thankfully, she's telling us the truth about her suitor, so I am sure that she will fulfill her duty soon enough. Plus, she did say she wants to surprise us. I don't know about you, but I AM patient enough to wait for her to bring home a good enough suitor to father our grandchildren..."Milee said, as shined an innocent and pleasant looking smile on her face.

"She's already passed marrying age and she's been turning down each and every man who expressed interest in her, including Brutis and he's the best that we have to offer!..."Maurus said and his wife rolled her eyes.

"He might be from a respectable family, but who says he's the best one available? Maybe our daughter is on to something by going the patient route. After all, some of the greatest battles had been won by working smarter, not harder..."Milee said, being more patient and pragmatic here.

While the queen was very much hoping for the best for her daughter's endeavors, the King on the other hand did not share his wife's light-hearted opinion on Mandie's decision.

Her husband growled and not happy with how these events were going.

"Women..."He muttered under his breath, which unfortunately didn't go unnoticed by his wife's sensitive hearing.

"What was that?!..."Milee said in a dangerously low tone, glaring at him.

"Nothing!..."He lied, but she didn't buy it.

"You're lying..."Milee said, sending him another chilling glare.

Her husband quickly apologized to his wife for speaking first without thinking, not wanting to get on his wife's bad side again. He's okay with fighting her in battle, but there are some lines even he wouldn't dare crossing with her.

With that all done, the queen and king went on to the meeting, going back to their duties as king and queen.

END OF FLASHBACK

Present time

Mandie giggled at the memory. Her parents might have argued for most of the night about that, but like always, they made up by morning and were back to their usual selfs.

Mandie, however, was still thinking of her own beloved and what he must be doing and going through on his world. She assumed that her future husband was facing yet another challenge or doing more heroics like he often does around her.

Or perhaps, he was at that Earth school that he mentioned, or enjoying the many mundane luxuries his home provides. Either way, she still felt a strong desire t be by his side once more.

"I can't wait to see Danny again..."She thought blissfully as she looked up to beyond the stars and was hoping that Danny might be looking at the same stars on his planet

Even if they were light-years apart, she didn't care. She knew that she just had to see him again.

"Oh, Danny!~..."She thought, giggling as she went along with her day, thinking about her half-ghost warrior whom she felt herself falling more and more in love with.
