Chapter 57: Return of the space snob
While Sam was busy dealing with her issues, Danny and Mandie were enjoying their impromptu date.
"This is the best. A beautiful Earth date with the most amazing and adorable warrior in the universe. This is SO much better than having a meeting with a waste of space like Brutis..."Mandie said, looking happy.
"Nice to know that you can stand me more than him..."Danny said with a chuckle, still holding her hand.
Mandie smiled at her man.
"Oh please, I can stand a titan worm way more than I can stand Brutis. Plus, you saw for yourself that idiot is nothing compared to you. Besides, even without your powers, you're still much smarter, cuter and way more pleasant to be around..."She said, sounding sincere.
Danny smiled.
"Glad to hear that. He doesn't deserve such a deadly beauty like you..."He said, making her giggle at that.
"Aww... you say the sweetest things..."Mandie said, giggling before kissing him on the cheek.
Danny chuckled, before they continued talking.
"So...I guess with him waiting to hit on you every time he can, Earth must not seem so bad in comparison..."Danny said, being semi-serious now.
Mandie smiled, before she recalled the last encounter with her "suitor" and sighed in irritation.
"You have no idea how right you are, my love. You are my main reason for visiting this place, but not dealing with Brutis is a very nice bonus too..."She muttered.
Her boyfriend heard this and felt sorry for her. He recalled how rotten that guy was in their last meeting and he recalled the many times she complained about him too.
"Can't blame you for feeling that way. After meeting the guy, I wouldn't want anything to do with him either. He's pretty much a Space Dash..." Danny said, annoyed as he recalled meeting that guy.
"You're too good for a jerk like that..."He added, making her smile upon hearing that.
Mandie giggled sweetly, putting her arm around her boyfriends shoulder.
"If only my father accepted that, things would be much bearable at home..."She said.
"Is he still trying to convince you to give that dork a chance? You deserve way better than that creep..."Danny said, making her smile even wider when he put his arm around her waist, pulling her in closer
"I love this man!..." Mandie thought, besotted but still decided to be mischievous here.
"Well, like I said...there is ONE way to get him off my back for good..."She said as she fluttered her eyelashes at her man, making her hint quite clear.
The ghost boy, while clueless, knew what she was talking about and sent her a stern look.
"Whoa there, Princess. STILL not interested in marriage yet. You know that..."Danny said, but Mandie wrapped her arms around him.
"I know, but I am willing to wait...for now..."She said as she nuzzled him a bit.
Danny blinked, surprised by this but enjoyed the affection. Once done, Mandie got ideas and sent him a saucy look.
"Why don't we go some place a little more...private?...Just the two of us?..."She said as she fluttered her eyes at him.
Danny grinned.
"That I can do..."He said.
"Good..."Mandie said, an eager look on her face.
Later
Danny and Mandie soon arrived to a nearby valley that was close to where her space ship was parked. There was no one else there at that time, which made it perfect for them.
"Oh, Darling!~..."Mandie said as she pushed Danny on to a nearby tree and started making out with him.
"As if on cue..."Danny thought in amusement as he began to kiss back.
The two were lost in the kiss and Mandie even lifted her right leg in pleasure. She moaned deeply into the kiss, truly enjoying it.
"So glorious...and only a small fraction of what he's truly capable of and yet my knees are already feeling weak! Oh!~..."She thought, as she tried her best not to falter right away.
However, the kissing was cut short when Mandie's battle instincts kicked in and she heard the sound of a blast caught her attention. She then reacted accordingly.
"GET DOWN!..."Mandie shouted as she grabbed Danny and pushed them out of the way.
Not a moment too soon, as several blasts had hit the area they were at. The ghost boy saw this and groaned.
"Oh man, who is it this time? If it's Skulker, I'm about to throw his tin can suit in the recycling bin..."Danny complained, thinking one of his enemies was trying to mess with him again.
However, he was only half right...it is an enemy...just not a ghostly one...
"Princess Mandie!..."Was heard.
Danny and Mandie both flinched and groaned.
"Oh, you've got to be kidding me!..."Mandie muttered, sounding angry and irritated.
"Don't tell me..."Danny said. "From what you've told me, the box ghost doesn't pop up as much just to get his butt kicked..."He grumbled, frowning hard.
They saw a Boudacian star ship hovered over the ground and inside was a very, VERY angry looking alien warrior.
One whom they were already familiar with.
"BRUTIS?!..."They both yelled, angry that the very annoying alien was back.
Brutis sent them both a arrogant look, barely concealing his anger. He smirked when he saw Mandie, but frowned when his eyes landed on the one whom he deems as his rival.
"Droid, prepare the plasma guns to turn this primitive hovel to ash once I've beaten the princess and have the abominations remains ready to dissect..."Brutis ordered his mechanical minions.
"Roger, General Brutis..."The droid saluted, while Brutis arrogantly rose up from his command chair teleporting down.
Brutis then glared down at the princess and the ghost boy, whom both were glaring venomously at him in return.
Meanwhile
Back on the ground
Sam, after being charged for the damages for the car and despite what was told earlier, still tried to track Danny down. Jazz and Tucker tried to stop her from causing any more trouble. They all saw the alien ship and one of them began to jump to conclusions.
"I knew that princess was tricking Danny! I knew it!..."Sam said, thinking that she was right.
"Can't you catch a break for one day, little brother..."Jazz thought exasperated at her brothers rotten luck.
"This is going to be a headache for me later, I just know it..."Tucker thought annoyed.
"Come on, we gotta go help Danny!..."Sam said in a bossy way, ready to deal with Mandie if she has to.
During this time, Mandie and Danny were both still glaring at Brutis as he stepped out with an arrogant smirk. He was also in full armor and wearing his cape too, obviously trying to get Mandie's attention...and failing.
Brutis saw the ghost boy and glared at him. Danny returned it.
"I see that you're back..."Danny said, still glaring at him.
"Back to end your miserable life and reclaim what is rightfully mine!..."Brutis said, gripping his sword.
"Let's just get this over with, I got a date to get back too..."Danny said, while Mandie stepped back as she decided to let him handle this.
"This is gonna be good..."Mandie said as she pulled out her special sunglasses and hit record.
She knew that her man didn't need her help to beat this fool and she was more than eager to watch her boyfriend beat that clown to a pulp.
Danny glared at Brutis, who glared back. Both of them were ready to fight.
"Prepare to be vanquished, Abomination!..."Brutis said, glaring at him.
"Let's just get this over with, Bruty..."Danny said mockingly.
"My name is BRUTIS of the house of Forcivul! DO NOT CALL BE BRUTY!..."The male alien snapped.
"Believe me, that's the most PG name that I wanna call you right now..."Danny snarked, while his girlfriend giggled at that.
"He's so funny!..."She said in fondness, while she snickered at remembering all the names they came up with to describe Brutis.
By now, Sam Tucker and Jazz had all arrived on the area and Sam glared at the alien princess in accusation.
"Alright, Princess Backstabber! What did you do with Danny this time?!..."Sam said, getting on the alien girl's nerves.
Mandie didn't even turn her head to acknowledge the goth girl's presence, being more interested in watching the fight that was in front of her. She did, however, respond to her.
"I see that you three were spying on us again..."Mandie said, annoyed now.
"We saw the space ship and we know that you're doing your little invasion stunt! Just admit it already!..."Sam accused.
Mandie just rolled her eyes now.
"Oh please, if I wanted to invade your planet, then why would I send only ONE space ship to do so?! That's like taking on an entire army of enemies with a simple dagger. It's impractical and foolhardy. Not to mention, someone has to be REALLY arrogant and stupid to think they can conquer a planet of enemies without any real backup!..."The alien princess said, arms crossed.
Sam and the others blinked and one of them was about to ask the obvious.
"So...uh...you're not invading us?..."Tucker asked, and the alien princess shook her head.
"No, and to answer any other questions you may have...that idiot is Brutis. He's an annoying insect who is obsessed with me and can't accept that I already have a better mate in Danny. He's here because he's too stupid to accept that..."Mandie said, sounding irritated as she said this.
The humans teens blinked at this, they then turned their head to see what they think is a battle underway, while they all stood around just talking.
"So...that's the guy that Danny mentioned?..."Jazz said.
"You mean the guy that's like an alien version of Dash?..."Tucker asked.
"Yes, that's him..."Mandie said.
"Is he just here for some kind of petty revenge on Danny, just to mend his wounded pride?..."Jazz asked.
"Pretty much..."Mandie said as she hit record, while they watched the battle against the ghost boy and the invader from the stars.
"Die!..."Brutis yelled as he charged at Danny with a sword in hand, ready to slice him to bits.
Danny merely sent an ecto-blast from his finger at him that sent him back.
"Is it just me? Or are you even weaker than last time? What's wrong Bruty, not used to having someone OTHER than Mandie kicking your butt?..."Danny taunted.
"SILENCE!..."Brutis yelled.
"You clearly don't know me very well, Bruty. Making jokes and quips are half the fun, wherever I fight bad guys. Or in your case, dealing with dudes who can't get it when a girl says no to them..."Danny said as he kicked him in the face, sending him back.
"This is only SLIGHTLY less difficult than dealing with the Box Ghost…"He added, as he began to make quick work of the arrogant alien.
"I do not know whom that is, but I can tell that is an insult! Also DO NOT CALL ME BRUTY!..."Brutis shouted, as he rushed forward with an upward slash of his sword.
"Sorry, couldn't hear you due to the sounds of me thinking up of new names to call you that actually are PG. Mandie might be from warrior race, but she's a lady after all..."Danny said as he kicked him hard and sent him into the air.
The ghost boy then proceeded to completely curb-stomp the rude alien jerk, while a certain princess was pretty much enamored with him even further.
"Do it, Danny! Show him how much greater you are!..."Mandie cheered, as she enjoyed watching her boyfriend toss Brutis around like a rag doll.
Jazz, Tucker and Sam sent her strange looks at that, while Mandie didn't care. She continued to enjoy watching Danny beat Brutis to a pulp.
At first it was a gloved fist sending an uppercut to the chin. Then it was a knee to the face. It was then followed by a blast to the chest. Brutis crashed to the ground and groaned.
He wasn't passed out yet.
He looked up to glare at Danny, while trying his absolute best to quickly get back to his feet. The alien nobleman, while struggling to stand up, then glared harshly at his nemesis, defiant despite the pain.
"Why are you even fighting on Mandie's behalf?! You said that you didn't even want to marry her?!..."Brutis yelled, not understanding why this primitive abomination was fighting so hard just for a woman if not to marry her.
"I'm sure that Mandie already told you that she and I have gotten closer lately. Plus, she doesn't deserve being pestered by a creep like you..."Danny said.
Brutis heard this and frowned. However, he got up and decided to continue the battle and state his own "two cents".
"I see that the appeal of a throne and planet wide empire finally got to you. I guess that you're not as much of a primitive brute as I thought!..."Brutis accused.
Danny frowned and his eyes glowed in anger at such a thing. He responded by kicking the alien in the chest, knocking the air out of the arrogant alien and causing him to cough, wheeze and choke and stay quiet for a few minutes while Danny started lecturing him.
"I'm not like you, Brutis! So, don't go around accusing me of being ANYTHING like you! Not everyone is a greedy creep who only sees girls as a tool to further their own goals..."Danny said as Brutis glared more.
As he tried to throw another punch, the ghost boy easily blocked it and swung him in the air before slamming him into the ground, glaring as he continued to stomp down on the alien warrior.
"Unlike you, when I look at Mandie, I don't see some throne and fancy crown, I see a person! She's more than just her throne and planet's crown and you're an idiot to think otherwise!..."Danny said, as he blocked Brutis's fists and kept lecturing him.
"Mandie is tough and independent, she's strong, smart, funny and can kick major butt, which I think is awesome. Sure, she still has moments of blood lust and can still be a battle junkie, but she's been improving as a person. So yeah, she's a princess but that's not all she is and only a fool would think otherwise. I'd date her even if she weren't royalty, and I'd still date her if she was a human, Boudacian or any other alien species.. So there..."Danny said in defense, passionately, with every compliment he hit Brutis with a punch that sent him straight back into the Brutis shaped crater.
Mandie heard this and was even surprised at how passionate her boyfriend was in defending her honor.
"He truly thinks that I am all that! Oh, Danny!~..."She thought, amazed before feeling a warmth in her heart as her man continued to kick Brutis's butt on her behalf.
Danny's friends and Jazz all heard that too, and they knew him well enough to know that he meant it.
"I've never heard Danny talk this way about someone before. He really does like her..." Jazz thought, surprised and proud of her little brother.
"Looks like he's going to be a king of a whole planet, after all. Still, I wonder if there are any girls on her planet who are into handsome tech-savvy guys like me..." Tucker thought, looking pensive.
While it was true that he didn't really trust Mandie with the whole "coming from a species of conquerors" thing, but if Danny liked her, he must have a reason. Plus, he trusted his friend's judgement.
However, Sam heard this and her previous bitterness was replaced with shock and bewilderment.
"He really likes her...doesn't he?..."Sam thought with realization and more than a little bit broken hearten.
Sam has known Danny for almost their entire lives and he's never talked that way about any girl so strongly...not Paulina, not Valerie, not anyone.
Sam thought her heart sinking deeper and deeper into her chest as everything started to become clear now that she wasn't blinded by jealousy.
"He's with her now...and he actually likes her...This is awful!..."She thought as she began to walk away.
After all, it's not like Danny needed her in this fight or for anything else. Tucker and Jazz saw her go and felt worried and confused by her actions.
"Where is she going?..."Tucker asked.
"Let's hope that we're aren't gonna have two fights to deal with..."Jazz said, hoping that Sam won't do anything crazy later.
"Uh...excuse me, keep it down. I'm trying to watch this..."Mandie said, irritated as she wanted to go back to ogling Danny as he beat Brutis to the ground.
Once Danny finished cracking his knuckles and dusting himself off, he figured that he should finish this sort-of fight sooner and get back to his date with Mandie. He went to Brutis, who was beaten and bruised on the ground, but refusing to surrender.
The ghost boy decided to end it here and now.
"Now get off my planet!..." Danny shouted, grabbing Brutis by the collar and spinning him around and then throwing him against a nearby tree.
Brutis growled, trying to attack again with a flaming knife, but Danny phased the knife out of his hand before blasting him in the chest.
"Nice try...not!..."He said, not impressed.
"Get going, before I stop going easy on you!..."Danny said, his eyes glowing green in warning.
Brutis snarled.
He refused to surrender to this ghost boy. He just kept trying to attack him and kept getting ecto blasted right into the exact same crater with his imprint on it. He hissed in pain, but still refused to back down. He just kept his attempted assault that went nowhere.
"Die, you abomination!..."He shouted as he charged at the ghost boy with a murderous look in his eyes.
Danny, with a flat look on his face, simply responded with a swift punch in the arrogant alien's face, followed by an ice blast, freezing the space villain in place.
"RELEASE ME! I AM BOUDACIA'S TOP GENERAL AND THE HEIR TO THE HOUSE OF FORCIVUL! I DEMAND THAT YOU RELEASE ME OR FACE ME AND MY PLANET'S WRATH!..."Brutis shouted, but his threats fell on deaf ears.
"Oh, shut up!..."Danny said as he punched him again, hard enough to shatter the ice around Brutis.
The end result was the alien nobleman falling to the ground, out cold and un-moving.
"Finally...so annoying..."Danny muttered, glad that he didn't have to listen to him anymore.
Mandie was practically swooning over him, as she continued to record the entire thing.
"So magnificent!~..."She cooed as she pressed stop on her recording.
Still, she had an admiring look on her face as she admired her boyfriend.
"You looked as fabulous as always, Darling..."Mandie complimented.
"Thanks, but he was hardly any challenge..."Danny said, barely even breaking a sweat.
"True...but you still looked good beating him into the ground..."Mandie said, smiling.
She then turned to the droids and glared at him.
"Droids, send this oaf back to Boudacia and DO NOT turn back, even if he wakes up and whines about wanting his revenge on my beloved. This is a director order from the Princess of Boudacia..."Mandie said in an authoritative tone.
"As you wish, Princess Mandie..."The lead droid said as the others picked up the beaten up and unconscious Brutis.
They soon returned to the ship and have taken off, and were soon off Earth in an instant.
"Finally...another reason why I like this planet is because it's been giving me a nice break AWAY from that fool..."Mandie said, as she stretched out her arms in a much more relaxed manner.
"I'm willing to bet that you loved what you saw..."Danny said, grinning as he knew that he was right about that.
"I most certainly did, my love..."Mandie said.
With Brutis gone and sent back to Boudacian, the young couple grinned as they recalled that they had previously been on a date with each other.
"So, now that the dork of the Milky Way is gone, what do you wanna do?..."Danny asked, while his girlfriend grinned.
"I have more than a few ideas..."Mandie said before kissing him on the lips, pulling him in close.
Jazz and Tucker just stood there, feeling pretty awkwardly and out of place right now.
"They totally forgot that we're standing here, didn't they?..."Jazz asked, irritated.
"Pretty much..."Tucker said as the two unusual teens kept making out and were starting to moan.
"I'm out of here. I'm behind on checking my emails and updating my PDA anyway..."He said, not wanting to see them swap spit anymore.
Jazz was the same and soon enough, they both left..not that Danny noticed as he was too busy being distracted by Mandie and hormones.
After about two minutes of lip and tongue action, the couple pulled apart and took in some fresh air.
"Glorious as ever..."Mandie complimented, while her boyfriend had a big grin on his face.
"Thanks..."He said, before adopting a somewhat goofy look on his face.
Once the ghost came to his senses, he began to curious as to where this date of theirs was heading to now. He then turned to the bewitching Boudacian beauty, and asked the following question.
"So...are we gonna go do something or are we just gonna go back to making out? Not that I'm against the last one, but you said you have plans..."Danny said.
"Both are nice...but after seeing you fight Brutis, I have a desire to spar with you..."Mandie said.
"Again?..."Danny asked and Mandie nodded.
"Yes, I accept that you are stronger than I am in terms of raw power, but it'll still be one heck of a fight..."Mandie said, with a grin.
Danny thought about it and shrugged.
"Okay, I don't see why not..."He said.
"Goody, I can't wait..."Mandie said as the two flew off to somewhere to avoid collateral damage and unwanted eyes.
Later
Danny and Mandie were now in a remote part of the woods, away from prying eyes.
They were in the middle of their spar with each other.
As stated, Danny was stronger in terms of raw power but Mandie was more agile and skilled in battle while also highly proficient with a sword, and since this was a fight for fun, the two of them were just sparring and flirting each other with matching grins.
"Even with all the special training I've been doing since we first met, keeping up with you is still quite a challenge..."Mandie said as she tried to land a punch on Danny.
The ghost boy dodged and smirked.
"You didn't actually think I'm just lazy about during my down time? I do push myself..."Danny said with a smirk as he tried to punch back.
"Oh, you're so cute. But don't think for a second it means I will grant you any mercy. Oh, adorable one..."Mandie said as she tried to send a kick, but Danny grabbed her leg.
"Same here, my crazy yet hot alien princess..."He said, as he used his quick reflexes to pin his date to a wall.
Mandie grinned and felt her heart race as she was physically pushed to a corner. She felt her hear flutter and it left her unwilling to fight, but not for long.
"For that slight, I shall savor this moment and then you..."She said as she charged at him again and pushed her limits to see how he'll react.
His reaction speed, however, was faster than she expected.
Danny floated around Mandie's punch with a grin. Mandie grinned too as she lashed out with her elbow, hitting her boyfriend in the stomach. However, Danny reacted fast and grabbed her still outstretched arm. He sent her a playful smile before he sent a more determined look as he tossed her while still in midair.
"Then I'll turn the tables on you..."He said, before launching himself towards Mandie for one more attack.
Pulling his arm back, he threw his punch. It was only after that did his fist get caught by her in the last second before they the ground.
Due to the collusion, the two of them falling back with Danny landing in the grass with Mandie on top of him. The two looked in each other's eyes for a moment before they burst out laughing.
"Okay, I guess that makes round one a draw..."Danny said, laughing.
"I can live with that...ready for round two?..."Mandie asked, still itching for a fight.
Danny sent her an almost amused look.
"Aren't you satisfied yet?..."He asked playfully.
"Of you? Never..."Mandie said with a cute smile on her face.
Danny was amused and decided to indulge her with another round. They spent about half an hour of sparring before taking a break.
A break that consists of nothing but making out, but neither of them complained about that.
