Phantom vs Aliens: Hot Ectoplasma!

Chapter 61: Disagreements and Rising Tension

After the king and princess's fight, the other nobles left the area and they all certainly had a lot to think and process after that meeting in the throne room.

Not to mention, the king and queen had much to talk about right now. Maurus wanted to go on a loud anger rant now that all the nobles were gone, but his wife held him back and spoke up first.

"Dear...we need to talk..."Milee said in a serious tone, knowing that they had a lot to think about amongst themselves.

However, they noticed that someone hasn't left yet. A certain general and admirer of their daughter. The queen frowned in annoyance.

"Brutis, you are excused. Now leave us be..."Milee said, using her commending voice on him.

"But your highness..."Brutis tried, but the queen sent him a cold glare.

"I said that you are excused..."She said, making it clear that he is not allowed in this private conversation.

Brutis was visible upset, but obeyed. He left, leaving the king and queen alone.

Now the throne room was completely empty, besides the King and Queen of Boudacian being the only ones inside.

Thankfully the Throne room was built to be extremely durable during fights and even sound proof, since these two had much to discuss and only one of them was still against these recent developments.

"I cannot believe that our own daughter would choose to mate with one of our enemies! Especially one from Earth! They're the allies of those disgusting Yugopotamians, which makes them our sworn enemies, even if this is another universe! Of all the creatures in the two universes, why did it have to be someone from this universe's Earth?! It's pure madness!..."Maurus snarled as he broke another chair in a fit of rage.

He began to tear the throne room to shreds, while his wife looked annoyed.

"Maurus, enough! Heel!..."Milee said as she went to him, grabbed him by the ear and yanked him hard enough to make him wince and yelp like a dog.

"OUCH! Milee...stop that, you know that I hate it when you yank on-...AH!..."He yelped again as his wife continued to yank him by his ear, until he calms down and to prevented him bursting into flames out of anger again.

She pulled him to a far away corner and then let go with a sour expression on her face until she calmed herself down.

"Now that you're NOT destroying things, which I REMIND you, that they were imported from off world and can't be replaced in this new universe or at least none of us are sure yet! We can talk?..."She said, while gently massaging her temple.

Her husband just kept massaging his ear and shook his head as he kept complaining about this whole situation.

"My precious, this is an absolute outrage! We can't our little princess go and-..."Maurus said, but his wife shocked him by placing her hand on his mouth and made him go wide eyed with what she just said.

"Maurus, I understand how you feel, but the fact of the matter is that Danny defeated our daughter in battle..."Milee said, reminding her grumpy husband of that fact, which he clearly didn't like one bit.

"By Boudacian traditions, our daughter is honor bound to marry him. You know that..."She said, not sounding at all disappointed about this development in the least.

"We still have the power as her parents to veto it, since she clearly chose poorly!..."Maurus said, being stubborn.

"That only applies if the supposed suitor is proven to be a hindrance or a traitor..."His wife pointed out, knowing that law better than anyone.

"Even then, we need to conduct the proper investigation and get approval of the entire court to dismiss this chosen groom of our daughter. We can't just deny the union on the grounds of you not liking the boy..."She said, knowing her people's politics better than anything.

"YES, WE CAN! WE HAVE THE MILITARY MIGHT TO DO SO!..."Maurus yelled.

His wife then gave him a scolding glare and grabbed him by the ear to bring him down to her level so that he can hear her much more clearly.

"Are you...yelling at me?!..."She asked in an icy cold way, but her anger was clear.

Maurus realized that he was doing just that and instantly curled his dog-like tail between his legs. He hated being like this, but his wife is the only one who was strong enough to render him like this...and get away with it alive.

Still, he tried to reason with her.

"I...apologize, my precious. I meant not to yell at you, but even you know how out of control my anger gets when I'm heated up like that..."He said, pleading with his wife for mercy.

Milee let go of his ear and sighed.

"Maurus, I know that you are angry, but this isn't something that can be solved with yelling and breaking things..."She said, with an exhausted tone.

"Neither of us have any right to refuse that fact that Phantom defeated our daughter in battle. Mandie is bound to him, as it has been our tradition for centuries and unless he tries to either kill our daughter or either of us, Mandie must marry this Danny of Earth. Her honor demands it..."She said, honoring the one tradition that has allowed some form of freedom within the life of royalty.

Her husband, however, remained adamant on his opinion on this matter.

"I still don't like any of this! It's simply ludicrous that our daughter wishes to marry that...earthling!..."He said, saying the last word like it was some sort of curse.

"You know that even royals have to honor tradition. We are no exception to this law..."The queen said, trying to get him to see reason.

"He's a PEASANT!..."Maurus shouted, clearly not seeing Danny as a worthy candidate for his daughter.

"Peasant or not, he's POWERFUL and those powers of his would be very useful to us in the future..."She said, already seeing the possibilities here.

"Imagine having a grandchild who can walk through walls, become invisible, fly without the help of rocket boots or a ship and can fire blasts from their hands. I think that is worth considering a few changes..."She said, liking the idea more and more.

Maurus was stunned that she was even considering such a notion, while the queen continued to ponder other functions that might happen between the union of Boudacian and this new Earth.

She didn't see anything wrong with the idea to be honest.

"Perhaps our daughter does have a point...any planet that can make decent food can't be all bad. Perhaps we should consider making an alliance with this universe's Earth, or at least make some business transactions with them. It couldn't hurt to at least try and see where it will lead us ..."She said, pondering on the possible benefits could happen between their two worlds on such an outcome.

"But my precious!..."Maurus tried, but his wife had already began to state her stance on the subject.

"I am serious, Maurus. The very least that we can do is hear our daughter out and at least meet this Danny Phantom face to face. Perhaps an alliance is the more practical solution..."She said, smirking as she saw plenty of ways to benefit from this.

Maurus growled at that.

"Or another failure waiting to happen..."He grumbled under his breath.

"What was that...Dearest?!..."Milee asked, with barely controlled anger at his silent remark to her words.

"Nothing..."He grumbled, not wanting to be the target of her wrath.

Maurus left to go let out his frustrations somewhere else less un-replaceable, while the queen sighed at his stubbornness. She was hoping that once her husband lets out some steam than he'll think with a much clearer head later.

"I love that beast, but he is too stubborn for his own good!..."She thought, as she rubbed her temples and hoping that their grandchildren won't be this short-temper.

Milee then saw that she hadn't finished the french fries or her soft drink that her daughter had brought in.

She looked around and realized that she's the only one left in the room and decided not to waste the food from Earth and have the rest of the delicious meal for herself.

"No sense letting this delicious Earth dish go to waste..."She said, as she sat down to finished it.

She smiled, as she truly enjoyed it. The Queen of Boudacia was also shocked to find out how she enjoyed this delicious carbonated beverage with her burger and fries, but she was also pleased.

"I gotta say...if we DO make an alliance with my future son-in-law's world, I should try and see if we can add this...what did she call it...Nasty Burger food to the menu here..."She said, as she ate the fries and took a sip of the drink with a smile on her face.

With Brutis

The arrogant nobleman was irritated that he was shooed away like some servant.

It was yet another major blow to he already shattered pride, which was already hurt due to everything that has happened to him lately.

"Do they all not remember who I Am? I'm Lord Brutis Forcivul! I am the most elite of elite warriors in the entire Boudacian empire! I don't deserve this indignity!..."He said, still suffering some physical and an ego pain from his injuries.

The prideful Boudacian didn't know how much more humiliation he could stomach at this point. He was about to break something, until someone called his attention.

"Brutis!..."Was barked.

Brutis turned and saw King Maurus approach him. His majority looked a bit more anger than he usually does. Especially since he could feel the heat radiating from the King himself.

Despite everything he had gone through already, this was a pleasant change of pace. Brutis smirked, thinking the king would side with him and that he could work this to his advantage.

"Well, now that my bride is thinking about what she has done, we can discuss eliminating the primitive lifeform that she is so smitten with..."Brutis said, excitingly waiting for the command for the king to sent him to attack Earth and destroy the ghost boy with the most elite squadron and conquer yet another world to add in the Boudacian empire.

"No..." Maurus said, shocking the top warrior.

"I'm sorry...what did you say?..."Brutis asked, hoping he had heard wrong.

"No, we will not..."Maurus said, in a surprisingly less anger tone than that Brutis was expecting.

The red haired alien frowned at this, not wanting to accept this.

"My king..."He said, trying to keep his temper in check.

"You can not possibly be listening to that absurd argument the princess gave about in the throne room earlier! It's the stuff of fairytales for pups..."He said, not buying a word of it.

The king calmly breathed in and exhaled out through his nose, turning the heat coming from his fur from blazing hot to room temperature as he tried to point out an obvious fact to his top warrior.

"Turner wielded magic and he used it to prevent multiple conquests to Yugopatamia..." Maurus said as he approached his throne. "So, yes. I will take my daughters counsel..."He said.

"What I wished to speak about boy is your presumptions that you claiming to be my daughters betrothed..."He said.

"My ki-..." Brutus began before he was interrupted with a command for silence from his king.

"Do not speak boy, only listen!..." Maurus said, with very stern tone in his voice.

Brutis was angry, but for once, kept his mouth shut. He just stood there, as the king spoke to him in a serious manner.

"Brutis...long before you were born...I swore before my royal predecessors, the people of Boudacia and to the universe to uphold and protect Boudacia and her people. Even at the expense of my own life..." Maurus said, giving off a very serious expression.

"I have upheld that oath. I have fought battles both in conquest and to defend our people. I have safeguarded our traditions, while seeking improvements to better improve our men in the battlefield..."The king said in a serious manner, before his expression turned bitter.

"And now here we are, trapped in another universe far different from our own and we are alone with limited ammunition and resources. We have no way back to our home universe unless either our scientists create a device to do so or we come across magic ourselves, and even that is quite the gamble..."He said, sighing bitterly.

"Even so, we will not give in and we will not surrender. We shall conquer. That is the Boudacian way. We all look forward to returning to our home universe and reclaim our former glory. That is what we deserve...but that is just a hopeful thinking at this point..."He said, looking less determined and a little more tired in that moment.

The arrogant Boudacian noble just looked confused at what the King was saying, since this was all news to him. While the King had this strange far-off expression on his face, he then looked at Brutis with a patient expression on his face.

"I have spoken on our behalf because you are a capable warrior and because your family's wealth is a great military asset to us, but you boy...you have lost challenge after challenge against my daughter and kept coming back after each failure. While I admire your persistence, your positive qualities do not give you the right to decide how our people are deployed..." Maurus said annoyed by the insult.

Brutis didn't like this and tried to convince his king to see reason through his view point

"My king...this primitive THING is somehow poisoning your daughter's mind against our peoples tradition! I have faced it in battle, it doesn't believe in honor! It is incapable of fighting like a warrior as the gods intended! It is a danger to us al and I will command our armies to fight until it is destroyed!..."He proposed, thinking he could smooth talk his future father in law.

The king, however, had a much different reaction than what Brutis intended.

"DO NOT PRESUME TO COMMAND MY PEOPLES ARMIES! I AM THE KING AND ONLY I AND MY QUEEN CAN CHOOSE HOW TO DEPLOY OUR WARRIORS INTO A REAL BATTLE!..."Maurus yelled.

Brutis shrunk down and watched the king tower over him like a wild beast. He was not afraid, just angry but he knew that he had to obey and not get punished by towering King.

"I...I apologize, My king. I meant no disrespect..."Brutis said, secretly livid on the inside.

"You're a competent warrior, but remember your place, Brutis. Only true royalty can rule this empire and command it's warriors..."Maurus said.

Brutis gritted his teeth, but held his tongue, since he had lost so much face already and can't let himself get degraded any further than this.

He needed to be mindful with every step he takes, especially around the planet's ruler.

"As you command...your majesty..."He said, as it nearly hurt him to say that with sincerely.

Thankfully for Brutis, it seems that the King believed his words of apology. He then spoke in a more controlled tone of voice, wanting to make something clear here.

"Brutis, your father was my best general who died fighting for our world's glory. Your family has also been very loyal to the crown for generations and you, yourself have won many battles for Boudacia's glory..."The king began, speaking seriously to his top soldier.

"It is because of those achievements that you've made that I believed you could have been a good match to my daughter..."Maurus said, trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, which gave the brutish noble some glimmer of hope.

"It's because of these reasons, that I will try and talk to my daughter, and get her to reconsider her decision. But you know as well as I do that once she has made up her mind on something, she gets very stubborn. It will take some time before she sees reason but I'll get to her soon enough..."He said, knowing his daughter very well.

Brutis smiled at this and felt the weight of his humiliation slightly lifted. Only a little bit, but he still acted like his usual brown-nose way towards the king.

"Thank you, your highness. I shall await to hear more from you soon..."Brutis said as he bowed to the king, hoping for some of his honor to return.

"Now then, I will take my leave and go speak with my daughter..."Mauris said, as he left to go deal with Mandie.

Brutis smiled.

"Foolish hairball, he is making this almost too easy!..."He thought, as he went to go meet someone.

Someone very special to him...in a manner of speaking.

With Mandie

"Stupid old man-dog! Why must you always be so difficult to deal with?! ARRRGGGHHH!..."She shouted in anger as she kept breaking and left a mountain of a mess behind.

Some of the stuff she breaks with irreplaceable gifts from other worlds from her old universe, but Mandie didn't care. She didn't care about those worthless reminders, just that she was angry and needed something to break.

Fufu was hiding under her bed for her own safety, but the alien princess was too mad to notice.

"Mmmmrrr!..."Fufu whimpered out, hiding for safety while Mande kept breaking her belongings.

After a 10 minute rampage, the princess was still simmering and panting heavily, fists shaking and sweat forming on her brow.

"I can't believe this. At this rate, progress between my future with Danny is still just a pipe dream! ARGHHHH! This is what I get for wanting more than a handsome face and an empty head?! SERIOUSLY!..."She muttered in anger and misery.

She couldn't believe how this has turned out...and how stubbornly think-headed her father is being.

It angered her to no end, and only see her boyfriend again could calm her down. Unfortunately, she can't see him now.

"MANDIE!..."Was heard.

Mandie saw her father enter her room.

The hot-headed princess frowned when she saw him.

"Father? What now?!..."She said, not liking this intrusion.

"Do not speak to me in that tone, young lady! I am still your father and the king of this planet! You WILL speak to me with respect!..."Maurus said, his fangs bare while his daughter glared at him.

"What do you want?!..."Mandie asked, still angry.

"We need to talk..."Maurus said, also angry.

"Yes, we do..."Mandie said, arms crossed.

The king and the princess of Boudacia both glared at each other in anger. Fufu ran out of the room, knowing that this will NOT be pleasant in the slightest.
