Transformers Beast Warriors

Chapter 2: The Strength of a Warrior!

Override:

"Goliath! Retreat!" I ordered. My comrades and I, from Prima, were being pursued by a squad of Vehicon troopers in the residential area of Area 6. "Man, the Neo Iacon City Defense Force isn't messin' around!" I said. Area 6 had many interconnected streets and had tall gray apartment units that looked worn down. A green light enveloped me as I transformed into my techno-organic Fox beast mode. As we ran, the Vehicons began firing at us with their blasters and were being reinforced by a Goliath Class Vehicon, a heavily armed levitating tank Vehicon with a cannon the size of a street light pole.

The Goliath fired on us, blasting two of my comrades and three Area 6 civilians to smithereens. The explosion caused me and my boyfriend, Scattershot, to fly into the air and crash into a Predacons apartment on the ground floor. I groaned as I tried to pick myself back up. "You okay Override?!" asked Scattershot. "Ow! No, I can't move! Need time to repair!" I explained. "We don't have time!" he said as he lifted me over his shoulders with his baboon beast mode. He leaped up the hole in the ceiling and landed on its floor. The Vehicons jumped on top of the neighboring apartment's roof and began firing at us. Scattershot avoided the firing and leaped off the apartment, while still carrying me, and onto another one. He continued dodging gunfire and leaping from building to building while carrying me. "These Vehicons are going to dog us until they see us dead!" said Scattershot. "We have to join up with the others!" I said. "Yeah, if there's anyone left!" replied Scattershot.

Suddenly, two Vehicons had jumped in front of us. "Oh scrap! We're cornered!" shouted Scattershot. "No, it can't end like this!" I thought to myself, but before they could aim their blasters a black and green techno organic lion cut into ribbons from behind. "Do not fret comrades, for the Absolute of Prima's strength is supreme!" said a Lion Maximal. "Leobreaker!" said Scattershot. "Vehicons! Behind us!" I stated.

Leobreaker jumped to pounce one of the approaching Vehicons and tore its face plate to shreds. Suddenly, a green light enveloped Leobreaker as he transformed into his techno organic robot mode. "For The Oracle!" shouted Leobreaker as he charged towards the Vehicons.

The Vehicons deployed energy sabers from their right hands in an attempt to cut down Leobreaker. However, Leobreaker parried the strikes with his energized claws. Unfortunately, the Vehicon troopers began to overwhelm Leobreaker and punched and kicked him in an attempt to open him up for a fatal strike. "I'll be fine Scattershot! Help Leobreaker!" I pleaded. Scattershot gently put me on the ground and transformed into his techno organic robot mode. "For the Prima Brotherhood!" Scattershot yelled as he fired several energy blasts from his hands at the Vehicons.

Unfortunately, the shots bounced off the Vehicon's laminated armor. One of the Vehicons turned their attention to Scattershot and aimed its blaster at us. Scattershot quickly picked me up and jumped off the apartment roof, then we landed into a garbage bin full of waste. "Gross!" I thought to myself. I noticed that I was able to move my legs again. "Scattershot, I think move on my own now!" I said. "And just in the nick of time too!" said Scattershot. We looked up to see the Vehicon from before firing down on us. We jumped out of the garbage bit just as the blast reached and left off a massive explosion.

We continued running down a long and wide alleyway in the residential district as the Vehicon tailed us from above. "We gotta make a stand against that Vehicon. If we don't, we'll be drawn further from the transport." I claimed. "Are you kidding?! Our energy attacks can't even tickle that thing's laminated armor! We have to call off the mission!" said Scattershot. "No way! This may be the only opportunity we get to secure the device before the N.I.C.D.F gets their hands on it!" I stated.

The Vehicon leaped down from the ceiling and cut us off. We tried to run in the other direction, but the Vehicon trooper grabbed Scattershot and slammed him on the ground. "Ah!" screamed Scattershot. "Scattershot!" I shouted. "Run Override! Get out of here!" he pleaded, but I ignored him.

At that moment, there was only one thing I could think to do. I closed my eyes and saw a glowing light. I could feel a great power surging through my body and when that power reached its climax I yelled, "I am transformed!".

A glowing light enveloped my body as I transformed into my techno organic robot mode. When the transformation finished, I rushed towards the Vehicon at an incredible speed. "So, energy attacks won't work, right?! Well then, what about some old fashion martial arts?!" I asked as I leaped towards the Vehicon and yelled, "Hyakuretsu Kyaku!" landing a flurry of fast kicks on its chest. I then jumped down and tried striking its leg joint with a flurry of punches faster than the eye could track, except mine of course, but nothing I did seemed to phase the Vehicon trooper. I leaped up to try to take out its optic, but it raised its left arm, and everything suddenly went dark.

Undermine:

Brimstone and I were staking out on top of an apartment building in Area 6. We watched as the Goliath class Vehicon turned the corner to pass through the street that my team and I were staking out. My plan is to wait for the Goliath, which was escorting our target, to pass under me so Brimstone and I could get the drop on it from above, while my other Prima comrades get the drop on it from below. "All we need is Leobreaker and my plan is foolproof!" I thought to myself.

I pressed a button on my communicator and called Leobreaker. "Leobreaker, do you read me?! There's a Goliath Class Vehicon escorting the target truck! We need your assistance, come in!", but there was no response. "Scrap! We're out of options Brimstone! We're going to have to take that transport with the manpower we have left!" I said.

"For The Oracle!" shouted Brimstone. "Shhh! Quiet or they'll hear you, idiot!" I shouted. "Undermine! Brimstone! Get out of your robot forms, now! Do it before the Vehicon detects you!" shouted a voice on my communicator. Suddenly the convoy stopped, and the Goliath Class Vehicon that was guarding it aimed its cannon towards the roof we were staking out on. The Goliath then fired its main cannon….

Ransack:

Debris from the blast came crashing down on the street below. "Oh no bro! Brimstone and Undermine just bought it!" said Crumplezone. "Scrap! We lost the element of surprise! Looks like it's just the two of us now! Are you ready buddy?!" I asked. "To join the Matrix?" asked Crumplezone. "What?! No, to secure the transport for the Prima Brotherhood!" I replied. "Um, couldn't we just retreat instead?" asked Crumplezone. Just before I was about to respond to my friend, my wrist radio began buzzing. "Ransack! Come in Ransack!" said a voice on the radio. "This is Ransask! What's your status, Hotshot?!" I asked. "I'm in the building right across from your position! I'm staking out with Landmine and Lugnutz!" Hotshot informed.

"Good! We're going to need all the help we can get since Brimstone and Undermine messed up our ambush! Let's rush that Goliath while its main cannon is recharging!" I replied. "Hold your tail Ransask! Two Vehicons just popped out from behind that cargo truck!" said Landmine. "Looks like they're scouting the area!" said Crumplezone. "Screw it guys! We attack now!" said Hotshot. "Wait, hold on! We might be able to hide-", "No more hidin' Landmine! We're going to crash the slag out on these Vehicons!" I shouted. "More like burn out." replied a depressed Lugnutz. I transformed from my techno organic rabbit beast form into my robot form while Crumplezone transformed from his techno organic terrapin beast mode. "You ready boys?!" asked Hotshot. "Slag yeah!" I replied. "No." whimpered Crumplezone. "Not really, but what does anyone care?" said Lugnutz. "I'm gettin too old for this!" said Landmine.

Landmine, Lugnutz, Hotshot, Crumplezone and I jumped out from our hiding places to surprise the Vehicon, but they were already ready for us as they immediately started blasting soon after. "So much for a surprise attack!" shouted Landmine. "Yeah! Let's rock out!" shouted Hotshot as he fired a beam of energy from his chest. The blast ricocheted off the Vehicon and detonated in an apartment building. Landmine, Crumplezone and Lugnutz fired volleys of energy attacks at the Vehicons but they too kept ricocheting off their armor. "Die, die, die!" I yelled. The ricocheting blast hit nearby apartment buildings, letting off violent explosions and scattering debris across the street. I could hear faint screams from the bystanders who were in those units. The Vehicons fired back at us, but it seems they had difficulty aiming from all the suppressive fire we were laying on them.

The shots from the two Vehicons hit a group of Predacons hiding behind a garbage bin. I could hear their screams as the explosion engulfed their bodies. "Dang it! These Vehicons aren't going down!" stated Landmine. Suddenly, the Vehicons leaped to the side while the Goliath aimed its main cannon down at us. "Scrap! That thing is getting ready to fire!" said Hotshot. I looked at Crumplezone with a devious grin of my face. He looked back at me with a concerned frown. "No way Ransack!" said Crumplezone. "You would let that thing scrap us than try?!" I asked. "I've never done it in the field!" cried Crumplezone. "Everyone, get behind Crumplezone!" ordered Hotshot.

We ran behind Crumplezone as fast as possible. The Goliath fired its main cannon directly at Crumplezone. "OOOO!" cried Crumplezone. "Catch it, Crumplezone!" I shouted with all I had. "Ahhh!" shouted Crumplezone as he crossed his arms to catch the blast. Blast hit Crumplezone dead on but was then immediately absorbed into both his arms. Crumplezone lifted up his head and looked at his arms in disbelief. "I…I caught it. I caught it! I did it!" shouted Crumplezone as he leaped up and down for joy.

"Good! Now fire it back!" shouted Hotshot. "You got it!" said Crumplezone as he aimed his arms at the Goliath. Crumplezone fired a powerful burst of energy at the Goliath, but the recoil caused him to fly back and fall onto Lugnutz. Fortunately, for the rest of us, the blast hit the Goliath head on causing a massive explosion which destroyed the two adjacent Vehicons and the surrounding apartment units.

"Damn! What a hit!" said Hotshot. I rushed over to Crumplezone to check on him. When I reached him, he was lying flat on his back with his optics open. "Crumplezone, speak to me man!" I cried. Crumplezone raised his right hand and placed it on his chest. "I need new friends." stated Crumblezone. I began to tear up while trying to lift him up. "You need a lot of things pal, but friends you got." I whimpered. "Doesn't feel like it." he replied.

Hotshot ran over to assist in lifting the big lug. "Come on Crumplezone. We gotta get you to the after party!" said Hotshot. "Don't celebrate just yet! We still need to secure the transport!" said Landmine. "I'm okay too. If anyone even cares." said Lugnutz. We looked down at the spot Crumplezone was lying to find that Lugnut was planted into the concrete. "Get outta there Lugnut! You stupid little goober you." teased Hotshot.

Landmine:

Hotshot picked Lugnutz out of the road. I scanned our surroundings to make sure we were alone. What I found instead was destroyed apartment homes and metal limbs scattered along them. "Such destruction for a single device." I thought to myself. I looked down to see Ransack and Crumplezone running towards the now halted Convoy.

Ransack punched the right side of the truck. "Drop the load or I'll smoke ya'!" threatened Ransack. "Okay, okay! Just don't hurt me!" said the truck. The hauler dropped the freight as its stabilizers deploy to catch it. The black truck transformed into its robot mode and put her hands up. "Please don't hurt me! I'm just a trucker!" pleaded the trucker. "Good god! You're a fembot!" said Ransack. "My type of ladybot! The more the better!" said Crumplezone.

"M-my name is Skold! P-please, just let me go!" pleaded Skold. "No way! You're going to open that shipping container for me and my pals!" said Ransack. "I can't!" cried Skold. "You can't or you won't!" asked Ransack. "I can't!" replied Skold. "You will!" Ransack became more frustrated as the conversation went on. "Ransack, that's no way to talk to a lady!" said Crumplezone. "What do you know about talkin' to ladies?!" said Hotshot as he ran up to the cargo container. "I wish I knew how to talk to fembots." said Lugnut as he stood beside me. I must admit, Lugnut had me startled for a second. I didn't even know he was standing next to me. "Darnit Lugnut! Don't sneak up on me like that!" I yelled. "But I didn't." he replied.

"Hey guys! This Vehicons blaster still works! I'm going to see if I can use it to open the container!" shouted Hotshot. "How?! By shooting it?!" I asked. "No! By using it as a bomb!" he replied. "That makes even less sense!" I thought to myself. I walked towards the, now deactivated, Goliath.

I transformed into my techno-organic mountain lion mode and scaled the automaton. When I reached the top, I saw a squad of Aero drones flying in the distance. I knew they weren't combat drones, but I wondered why the weren't flying towards Area 6. I figured with all the destruction we caused here; they would at least send some aid. "Boom!" A large explosion went off at the other end of the container. "'Cough!', 'Cough!' Holy shoot! 'Cough!'"

Looks like Hotshot's plan worked. "Nice Hotshot!" said Ransack. "How we lookin' Hotshot?! Is it my Birthday?!" asked an excited Crumplezone. "Yep! It's your birthday alright. It's a whole lot of empty!" said Hotshot. "Huh?!" shouted Ransack. "Like my soul." said Lugnutz. Ransack scurried to the back of the container. Once he saw it for himself, he ran right back to Skold. "Okay, Sister! Where's the slag is the cargo at?!" question Ransack. "I mean…It's somewhere else, I guess. I don't know. The crate did feel kind of lighter than usual, sooo yeah…umm…yeah, I don't know." replied Skold. Ransack look up at me, then looked back at Skold. Then he looked at Crumplezone, back to Skold, then at the ground, and then back up Skold. "Hehehe. You got jokes. Heh. Hey, Crumplezone." said Ransack. "Yeah?" replied Crumplezone with a concerned look on his face. "Your girlfriend here's got jokes." said Ransack. He then punched Skold in the torso. "Ah!" screamed Skold as she dropped to her knees. "Hey! Ransack?!" shouted Crumplezone.

"Knock it off Ransack! It's not her fault we were set up!" I shouted. "Oh, shut up you old fossil! Do you wanna explain to The Oracle why we spent half of remaining our manpower fighting for an empty box? Do ya?! Didn't think so! Now, let me do my thing!" said Ransack. "This kid's got a screw loose. We gotta go before more Vehicons show up!" I stated. Jumped off the Goliath and landed next to Lugnutz. When I turned the corner, I saw Hotshot walk slowly towards me in his techno-organic wolverine beast mode, and his head held low. "We lost so many comrades at the plant and in Area 6, and for what? An empty box?" whimpered Hotshot. "Brimstone said he saw them load the device into the container." said Crumplezone. "Wait…what?! You told us it was Undermine who saw it being loaded." I stated. "Really?! Sorry, I meant Brimstone! I get those two mixed up sometimes." said Crumplezone. "You took the word of that lugnut! I don't even think he knows what planet he's on half the time! For all we know, the device could still be at the factory!" shouted Ransack.

"Did someone call me?" asked Lugnut. "No! No one called you! No one will ever call you!" shouted Ransack. "Oh…Okay." Lugnut transformed into his sheep beast mode and slowly walked away with his head lowered. "Let's go everyone. The others have probably headed back by now." I said. "What about Skold? We can't just leave her here!" said Crumplezone. "What?! Why not?!" she asked. "It's because you've seen our faces, know our names, and know our goal. So, you have two choices. We kill you here, or you come with us. The choice is yours." I stated. "Choose wisely!" said Ransack. "Umm…OOOO…Aw man! I hate ultimatums! Oohh…Uh, okay! I'll go with you guys!" she answered. "Dang it!" said Ransack.

Strongarm:

I raced down the broken Streets of Area 6 searching for Side Burn. I tried following his tracks but they mysteriously vanished. "Why would Side Burn go here? This place looks like a warzone. Does he live here?" I thought to myself. The area looked like it had been flipped upside down. Many of the apartments had been abandoned, at least that's how it seemed. Power Lines were snapped, the streets were chipped, and the air was foggy.

I felt more uncomfortable here than I ever did in my entire life. I almost turned around to go back to the academy, but then I noticed a body in the distance. "It looks like a beast mode!" I thought to myself. I drove over to examine the body. "Maximize!" I shouted to transform into robot mode as I reached the suspect. It was a fox beast mode with red and white fur. They laid there on the ground, optics closed and covered in dirt. I crouched down to place my hand on her neck. At the academy, I was taught to check for a pulse on the neck or chest of techno-organic Cybertronians for signs of life. Thankfully, I could feel their pulse. "Thank goodness." I said. I looked back up to find a wide alleyway. The thought I could see another body in the distance. I ran over to find another techno-organic robot. This time the individual had a baboon beast mode with dark blue fur. I tried the same pulse check technique on this individual, but there was no pulse. I stood in horror and dread as I stared at the lifeless body. I didn't move or speak. I just stood there. It was the first time I had ever saw a deactivated body. It was a cold feeling, like all my internal systems stopped at once. I stood there until a loud moan broke me out of my trance.

"Ohhh!" moaned the fox again. I ran over to assist them. "You're awake, thank Primus!" I said. "Where am I?" asked the fox. "You're in Area 6! I found you lying on the street. Hold on, I'll try and contact someone to help you." I said. "That won't be necessary!" said a thunderous voice. I quickly turned around to a large robot with black and green fur. He walked over towards the fox and me. He moved the very ground with each step. "Stay where you are!" I ordered, but he continued his advice. The closer he got, the more I began to see scratches and scars all throughout this body. Most of them, being on his face. "W-Who are you?!" I shouted.

"Who am I? What an odd question? Usually when enemies see me, they ask 'Why?' instead, but very well! I shall tell you my name as I tear you and the weak link to shreds!" The warrior slammed his left fist into his chest. "I am Leobreaker! One of the Eight Great Beast Warriors of Prima, the most loyal disciple to The Oracle, and the bearer of Absolute Strength!" he claimed. "Oracle?!" I asked myself. "In Prima, strength is a requirement!" he shouted. "You have …to get me out of…here…Run!" said the injured fox as she closed her eyes.

"Hey!" I looked at her as she passed out. "Only the strong can serve The Oracle! The weak must perish!" Leobreaker stated. I couldn't believe what I heard. I stood up in anger. "So what?! You just kill your own, after they fought hard to please the… whatever it's called?! That's how you live?!" I shouted. "Those who are weak become fearful, and fear leads to hatred, and hatred is sin! Those who hate cannot appreciate The Great Miracle!" he stated. "Miracle?!" I asked. "The Great Reformatting! The Oracle blessed us with these incredible bodies! No longer do we have to constantly fight for energon. A simple patch of grass or a small organic animal can now feed a techno-organic Transformer! Yet, Cybertronian society still found a way to segregate itself and continue with their petty squabbling. Then, they produced heartless machines and utilized them to perform the task of a worker bot, resulting in many Maximals and Predacons to go without work or purpose. That is why The Oracle formed Prima, to tear down this society so a new one, a perfect one, can be born! Praise be The Oracle!" shouted Leobreaker.

"Why are you telling me all this?!" I nervously asked. "It is better to die enlightened than ignorant." he stated as rushed over and gripped my left arm. "Ahh! No!" I yelled. From his grip he yanked me in the air. I retaliated with a kick in his face to try to break free, but it didn't even faze him. "Do not fret youngling. Though your life was short, your death will be for not. Carry the knowledge I have bestowed you with to the Matrix so it can learn and grow as well!" he said. "No!" I kept kicking and flailing, but it was pointless. Somehow, part of me knew that. All I wanted to do was help this poor girl, but I could even help myself. In my final moments I thought about Drift and asked myself what he would do if he saw me in this situation. I'd like to think he would rescue me. Yeah, it was a nice thought at the moment. "Drift…Please help me." I thought to myself.

Leobreaker:

"Woah!" I yelled as an unexpected fist flew across my face from nowhere, which caused me to release the unworthy child. I somersaulted backwards to regain my footing and was forced to land on my knees. I, enraged, immediately stood up to face the unworthy. I looked up to find an equally tall crimson red robot standing before me. I must admit, I was taken back by his appearance at first. His red helmet, his gray face mask, his yellow optics, his broad red shoulders, the red casings boxed around his legs, and a large Maximal insignia embedded on the right side of his chest. "Optimus Prime?...No, it's not him!" I thought to myself.

"Who dares disrupt my execution?!" I asked. "Execution?! So, you're a terrorist, a zealot, and a judge?" he mocked. "I am what The Oracle requires!" I replied as I graciously placed my hands in the sky to praise The Almighty Oracle. "Well then, I suppose I am what Neo Iacon City requires, and what that Oracle thing fears!" he stated. "Insolence! The Oracle is not a thing! It is a god, and I am its vanguard! 'Rarrr!'" is roared as I rushed towards the crimson robot with my claws deployed. I jabbed at his insignia on his chest, but he jumped into the air and kneed me in my chin. The blow lifted my body into the air. I tried to recover but spun around in the air and drove his right knee into my torso. The attack sent me crashing into the street. When I opened my optics, I found him standing over me. He pointed his finger at me and said, "Guess that Oracle thing needs a better vanguard. Huh, Leobreaker?!". "Silence demon!" I yelled as I jumped straight up and tried to gouge his optics, but he ducked and countered with a powerful punch into my torso. "'Argh!''" I yelled as I coughed up an unacceptable amount of energon. I had no choice but to fall to my knees. I put my hand over my mouth to stop the energon from coming out. "Who are you?!" asked the female child.

"I am Fire Convoy! Guardian of Planet Gaia!" he answered. "Convoy?!" yelled the female and me.

Fire Convoy:

"Strongarm! Get yourself and that fox lady to safety! Something tells me this guy's going to take a while to finish off!" I ordered. "Take her where?! There are no medical services in Area 6?!" she asked. "Take her anywhere! I know you'll make the right decision." I answered. "How do you know?!" she asked, but I couldn't answer as I was immediately rushed by Leobreaker.

"I don't care who you are! Convoy or not, no one slanders The Oracle!" he yelled as he slashed diagonally at my chest. I managed to evade the attack by quickly stepping back, but he fell on the ground and delivered a sweeping kick to my left leg which caused me to fall on my back. "Yes! Now it's over!" said Leobreaker as he pounced on me. "I'll rip out your optics, Convoy!". Leobreaker tried to use his right claw to gouge my eyes, however I grabbed his right arm in order to prevent that. Unfortunately, the brute was so strong his right claw slowly inched its way towards my optics. I tried to strike him with my right fist, but he pressed it down with his left arm. "It's over!" he claimed. "Not is not! I still have on trick up my sleeve!" I claimed. I used my special ability to rapidly increase the temperature of my external body. The brute's hands, arms, and legs began to sizzle from the heat as he was on a skillet. "'ARGH!'" screamed Leobreaker, but he still wouldn't release me. "This pain is nothing compared to the thought of failing The Oracle!" said Leobreaker. "Fine then! Your body might be able to withstand the heat, but this street sure won't!" I yelled as we began to sink into the concrete road as it liquified.

"Oh scrap!" I heard Strongarm yell. "Argh!" yelled Leobreaker. With the small section of the road now liquified it granted me the opportunity to move my legs. I stood up, I pulled Leobreaker's arms past my head and delivered a mighty headbutt into his face plate. "'Rarrr!'" he roared in agony as parts of his face chipped off. I used this opening to leap vertically into the air while holding on to his right arm. While we began descending, I grabbed the back of his head, and when we fell enough, I slammed the front of his face into solid concrete. I stood straight up and looked over his unconscious body. I turned around to check on Strongarm, but she had fled with the fox lady. I looked in the distance and saw a dozen Vehicon troopers leaping towards our position. "Hm. Time to go." I said.

"Time to die!" Leobreaker shouted as he sprung himself up. He seemed to be going for an attack, but all of a sudden, he stopped in his tracks. His body started to tremble as steam could be seen rising from his fur. "W-What's happening to me?! It feels like I'm burning!" he shouted. "You've lost Leobreaker. You lost the moment I landed that punch. Let the flames cleanse your soul!" I said.

Suddenly, Leobreaker's body burst into flames. The heat was so intense it burnt away his organic fur. "'ARRGH!'" he yelled as he fell to the ground. He tried to roll the flames off, but it was no use. The warrior continued to burn. "The Vehicon's should be able to handle it from here." I said. Ran in the opposite direction the Vehicon's were approaching and leaped into the air. "Fire Convoy, Maximize!" I yelled. My arms and legs folded into my body, my head tucked into my chest, and a set of four wheels deployed, each one from opposite ends of my body. I landed on the ground and drove away from Leobreaker.

I drove through the battered and war-torn Area 6. "I was too late! I should've gotten here sooner!" I blamed myself. As I continued driving, I noticed graffiti on a tattered apartment unit that said, "The Oracle is absolute!" and another that said, "Long live Prima!". "Prima and this Oracle. Whatever it is and whatever Prima plans next, I'll put an end to it. Until then, I'll be waiting." I thought to myself.
