Chapter 152 Awakening 3

Vlad and Fright Knight continued fighting across the lab facility. Wraith followed the duo along with Fright Knight's forces at a distance, so not to interfere. The match between the two seemed evenly matched. Wraith watched the fight go on and recognized what section of the facility they were at. They were near the lab were Dark Phantom was being developed! Did Vlad plan to unleash the powerful clone on Fright Knight and his forces? Was he really that confident that Pariah Dark could turn the tide of battle? Wraith honestly didn't know. She had sensed the Sith Lord's power briefly through their interactions, but she had no idea how powerful Pariah Dark really was.
Further down in the lab, Dark Phantom had been removed from his tank and was laid out on a table. Technus carefully put the Ring of Rage on a finger on the clone's right hand and Dark Laser carefully put the Crown of Fire on his head. The two then stepped back and observed the clone. For several seconds nothing happened and the clone remained slumbering on the table. Then the clone's eyes opened and he sat up taking in his surroundings.
"At long last I draw breath and live again." Said the clone in a powerful voice.
"Pariah Dark?" Asked Dark Laser.
"In the flesh. This body you have gifted me is wonderful. I can sense the power of it merging with my own. I feel reborn." Said Pariah Dark as he stood up testing his limbs.
"Incredible. He is adjusting to a new body very well. All his brain and body activities are perfectly healthy." Said Technus.
"I can sense his power." Said Dark Laser.
And he wasn't the only one. Vlad, Fright Knight, and Wraith could sense the immense power along with Danny, Maddie, and Danny. It was like nothing like anything they had ever felt before.
"Pariah Dark has a body now." Said Clockwork with a grim look on his face.
"We're too late!" Said Maddie.
"We may not have been able to keep Pariah Dark from getting a new body, but we can still make sure he doesn't get a clone army. At least from this place." Said Danny.
"He speaks true, we must hurry and set the explosives and leave here quickly." Said Clockwork to his allies.
The Rebels quickly went about setting the explosives on the support beams of the facility.
Back up above Fright Knight continued to fight Vlad as he was lead deeper into the facility.
"What did you just do? What was it I just sensed with the Force?" Demanded Fright Knight.
"Oh I just help resurrect one of the greatest Sith Lords in history. He will lead and take us into a new era destroying all those, who would dare oppose us! The Emperor and Vader are nothing compared to him and will soon see." Said Vlad with a smile.
"You fool! This will not stand!" Yelled Fright Knight.
"Oh, but it will." Said Vlad.
It was then that a door opened up and out came Pariah Dark followed by Dark Laser and Technus.
"You're working with terrorist?" Yelled Fright Knight as he recognized Dark Laser.
"Oh, Dark Laser is no terrorist. He and I share a vision and together we have brought the great Sith Lord, Pariah Dark to our modern age." Said Vlad indicating Pariah Dark.
"It seems we have a uninvited guest. I can use a little warmup. Allow me to handle this." Said Pariah Dark as he held his hand out.
"But of course. Do as you please." Said Vlad as he turned his hand up and offered his lightsaber.
Pariah Dark grabbed the lightsaber with the Force and put it in his hand, before he turned to face Fright Knight.
"Come. Show me what you're made of." Said Pariah Dark.
Fright Knight tightly gripped his lightsaber and charged at Pariah Dark with a bellow as he unleashed a fury of blows at the Sith Lord. Pariah Dark just smirked as he blocked all of Fright Knight's blows with ease without moving from where he was standing. Fright Knight's anger grew as he increased his speed and tried to take Pariah Dark by surprise with a few feints, but the Sith Lord saw through them and continued blocking the attacks, before he struck back with great speed and sent Fright Knight skidding back. The Inquisitor was a bit shaken by the move, but still determined to fight, he was about to spring forward, when he felt an invisible force grab him by the throat lifting him a foot off the ground! Pariah Dark was using the Force!
Fright Knight was pulled forward with his arms pinned to his side. He reached Pariah Dark and was dropped to the floor on his knees. Pariah Dark removed Fright Knight's helmet with the Force and put a hand on his head.
"You put up a fair fight, it would be a shame to just kill you. You're much more useful to me alive. I shall make you my servant." Said Pariah Dark.
"I...will...never serve you!" Spat Fright Knight.
"Oh, but you will." Said Pariah Dark before he began to lash at Fright Knight's mind with the Force.
Fright Knight gasped in pain and struggled, but it was no use. His eyes glazed over a little and Pariah Dark removed his hand.
"Who do you serve?" Asked Pariah Dark
"I serve you, Pariah Dark." Said Fright Knight.
"Excellent, now go round up all the forces you brought and tell them that this facility is to be left alone and is no threat to the Empire. After you do that I want you to get your most loyal people together and have them come setup a meeting with Vlad." Said Pariah Dark as he put Fright Knight's helmet on him.
"Yes master." Said Fright Knight, as he deactivated his lightsaber, stood up, and walked away.
"Incredible." Said Dark Laser.
"He really is a Sith of legend." Said Vlad as Pariah Dark gave him his lightsaber back.
Pariah Dark turned his attention to Wraith and reached out to her with the Force to use her connection to Phantom to seek him out and quickly learned about what Phantom and the Rebels were doing. A look of mild shock and anger appeared on Pariah Dark's face.
"We must evacuate this place at once! How much equipment can you quickly remove from this place and how long would it take to get a cloning lab up and running?" Said Pariah.
"What's wrong?" Asked Dark Laser.
"The one called Phantom and his allies have setup explosives here. We need to evacuate." Said Pariah Dark.
"We can maybe take a half dozen pods with us, but it would take a few months to get a new cloning lab up and running." Said Technus.
"So be it. This nothing more then a delay. Get to work quickly." Said Pariah Dark.
"Can't we deactivate the bombs?" Asked Vlad.
"Not enough time. Focus on evacuation and taking what gear we can." Said Pariah Dark.
The alarm was sounded a few minutes before the first explosives went off killing some staff and guards. Fright Knight and his forces quickly helped with the evacuation and successfully saved 68% of the staff managed to save a dozen cloning pods. The lab was destroyed. It was a setback to Pariah Dark and a small victory for the Rebels.
"Well played Rebels, but the war is far from over." Said Pariah Dark as he looked down at the destroyed lab from the bridge of the Leviathan.
A few light years away, Danny looked out the window of the Tempest as he pondered what threat Pariah Dark would pose for him and the rest of the Rebls.
