The twins maintained their surprised expressions at Sora after what had happened to Jax.
Emira: Umm...do you...remember...what just happened?
Sora tilts his head in confusion.
Sora: What...do you mean?
Edric: Do you remember us talking and dancing?
Sora: Yeah.
Emira: Do you remember girls swooning over you.
Sora: *blushing and flustered* Yes.
Edric: Heh heh. Do you remember Jax and his crew hassling us?
Sora: *frowning* ...Yes.
Emira: *nervous* Do you...remember...beating the crap out of Jax to the point of giving him a bloody mouth?
Sora paused for a bit until he processed what Emira had just asked.
Sora: ...I DID WHAT?!
Edric points to Jax, who is still slumped and unconscious with his mouth all bloodied, and even sees some blood splattered across the wall. Sora became horrified by this.
Sora: Oh my hearts!
Sora immediately ran to Jax and stuck both his hands out towards him.
Emira: Wait, Sora!
Edric: What are you—
Sora: Curaga!
With a bright green magic aura surrounding Jax, the beaten witchling was healed. Sora stepped back a bit as Jax tried to open his eyes.

As he saw Sora, he tried to apologize for what apparently had happened, but Jax immediately stood up and bolted away out of fear, not looking back, along with his crew following him.
Sora: Wait!
It was too late. They were gone.
Sora: I'm...sorry...
The twins then looked at one another, then back at Sora with concern. Just then, Sora turned around to them.
Sora: Wait. Are you two ok? I didn't...hurt...
Emira: Oh no! No, no, no, no! WE'RE ok.
Edric: Yeah, you didn't hurt us. No worries.
Sora deeply sighed in relief as he sat down against the wall.
Sora: Oh, thank hearts. I'm sorry if I scared you guys.
The twins approached Sora and sat down next to him.
Edric: Hey, it's alright.
Emira: Yeah... Although, I gotta admit. We've...never seen you like that before, all rage-induced. Kinda scary.
Sora: I don't get it. The last thing I remember was what Jax did to Emira, and then...nothing.
Edric: Tunnel vision.
Sora: Huh?
Edric: Tunnel Vision. Kinda like this thing that happens when you lose a bit of control, and you're just...in that zone...only afterward, you like to go back to your usual self. Usually, it happens when something major happens in front of you or to you.
Emira looked at Edric with an expression that said: "rare of you to be insightful...if at all".
Sora: I guess seeing what Jax did to Emira got me then. I really don't like seeing anyone I care about get hurt.
Both twins then looked at Sora and saw the sadness on his face. They took what he said to heart, him being that protective of those he cared about.
Sora: I couldn't even apologize to him properly.
That right there was all the twins needed to hear.
Emira: Hey, don't sweat it. At the end of it, he had it coming. And I'm really thankful for you sticking up for me.
Edric: Although, maybe dial it back next time. I suggest some kind of wrestle hold. Always works.
Emira: Always works on you, you mean. I do it, and you give up instantly.
Edric: You're really gonna go there? Really?
Sora chuckles.

Sora: Ok. Well, if...you guys are still interested, good food I'll be making at my place.
Edric: Uh, yeah. I ain't missing out on more human realm food.
Emira: Count me in.
Sora: ok, great. Lemme just get King, and we'll get going.
Both twins nodded as they stood up and made their way to King's spot on the slide. After that, they all made their way back to the Owl House. As they walked, Sora pulled out his Gummiphone, found Luz's contact information, and began texting her.

Amity: And...aside from that, I never wanted to join the emperor's coven in the first place. I just wanted to follow my own path. And I already know what that path is.
Kairi: What path is that?
Amity extended her right hand and summons her Burning Love Keyblade.
Amity: To follow in Sora's footsteps, or, to be more exact, to help make a difference in any way, whether it's saving worlds from darkness or just helping people who have darkness in their hearts.
The others smiled at Amity's newfound ambition until Luz felt her phone vibrate. Curious, she took it out and saw a message from Sora. The message said that Sora was on his way home to cook lunch for everyone and that Edric and Emira would be joining, much to Luz's surprise and delight.
Luz: Hey, guys.
The others turn to Luz.
Luz: Message from Sora.
Kairi: What'd he say?
Luz: He's on his way back to cook.
Kairi: Yes!
Luz: And Ed and Em are coming as well.
Amity: What?!
Luz: Yeah. Apparently, they ran into Sora before he came back, and he decided to invite them over.
Amity sighed with a tired smile.
Amity: Of course, he did.
Kairi: Oh, nice. You get to see your siblings, and I get to meet them.
Amity wasn't quite sure how that would go, knowing the twins quite well.
Eda: *walking down the stairs* Hey, kids. Sora home yet?
Luz: He messaged me. He's on his way now. Oh, and Amity's siblings are joining us for lunch as well. Oh, he's wondering if that's cool.
Eda: Eh. Fine by me as long as they make a mess of things.
The teens chuckled as Luz replied that Sora Eda was ok.
Luz: Oh, lemme ask him what he's making today.
Luz typed the message asking Sora the question. After a minute, Sora replied that he would be making beef tendon curry.
Luz: Beef tendon curry.
Kairi: YES!

The others became startled by Kairi's exclamation. As Kairi sees the eyes on her, she shrinks sheepishly.
Kairi: Sorry...
Amity: I'm guessing that's a favorite of yours?
Kairi: One of many.
Luz: You know, I get that you're skin and bones right now and need to gain weight again, but I can't help but feel like you were a little too excited about that.

Kairi: Eh heh heh heh...well, I kinda have a weakness for meat.
Eda: Meat?
Kairi: Of all the foods, meat is my favorite. I like pork, poultry, mutton, beef, and sausage.
The others raised an eyebrow on that last one.
Eda: Sausage?
Kairi: Yeah, for hot dogs and stuff. ...I really like 'em...the meatier, the juicier, the thicker, the longer... the better...
At that point, the others deadpanned, unable to process or how to respond to Kairi's interest in meat.
Gus: *thinking*...I have...confusing emotions about this.
Luz turned her head to Eda, which she noticed.
Luz: *mouthing* Should we be concerned?
Eda glances at Kairi, seeing her in her own little world at this point, then back at Luz.
Eda: *mouthing* Probably.

Just then, Sora walked in through the door with King on his shoulder and the twins following behind.
Sora: We're here!
Twin: Hey, mittens!
Amity: Oh, hey.
Kairi then suddenly snapped out of it and went up to hug Sora tightly.
Kairi: Sora!
Sora: Hey, Kairi.
Kairi: Beef tendon curry! Hurry make!
Sora: Ok, ok. Just give me a few, and it'll be ready.
Kairi gave Sora a couple of kisses on his cheek and nuzzled a bit as Sora chuckled.
Sora: Oh yeah. Kairi really likes meat.
Luz/Eda/Amity/Willow/Gus: ...We know.
Sora: Huh? *tilts head*
As soon as the twins got into view, they greeted everyone else.
Twins: Hey, Luz. Willow, Gus, Eda.
As they all greeted back, the twins noticed Kairi, which prompted Amity to introduce them.
Amity: Kairi, those two clowns are my older twin siblings. Edric and Emira.
Kairi: Oh, hello. I'm Kairi. Nice to meet you.
The twins were suddenly taken back by Kairi's appearance —she was a lot thinner than everyone else there. Emira wanted to be polite and greeted Kairi back.
Emira: Hi, nice to meet you.
Edric: Same here...gotta say, you're quite the bony—
All Blight siblings ganged up on Edric.
Sora/Emira/Amity: *whispering* Your next choice of words will decide your fate.
Edric: Bonafide than I thought. You've got good taste, Sora.
Kairi chuckled as she blushed a bit, while Sora just turned his head to Edric with a perplexed expression.
Sora/Emira/Amity: *whispering* Really?
Edric: *whispering* What? I had to say SOMETHING.
Sora sighed before walking towards the kitchen.
Sora: Give me a few minutes, and beef tendon curry will be ready.
Twins: Cool.
Sora went ahead into the kitchen to cook while King jumped on the coffee table.
King: So, what have you guys been up to while Sora and I were out?
Kairi: I just got done getting to know Amity.
The twins looked at each other and nodded with a small smile, concluding that Amity was progressing with opening up more, especially to her friends.
King: Oh! Oh! Then, it's my turn to share my life's story.
Kairi: Oh?
Luz: *leans to Kairi* Get ready for this. It's adorable.
King: As many of you know, I am the King of Demons! Unfortunately, my power and throne were lost a long time ago. But one day, I will reclaim my rightful place on top of the world! In fact, I've already begun that quest when I rediscovered my locked-away powers!
The twins turn to the others.
Edric: *whispering* He's not actually...
Luz: *whispering* Just listen and play along.
Both twins nodded.
King: As the King of Demons, I had servants doing my will. I slept on a bed really fluffy. I ate from a plate made of gold. I was fed until I got stuffy, and my food never got cold. All of my devoted subjects knew it was all about me. Folks who are so loyal to this demon who is so royal call me Your Majesty.
Kairi: Riiiight.
Luz giggles.
King: But, there was a time BEFORE I became King. On my humble abode, on a small island where Eda and I first met.
Eda softly widened her eyes, remembering all the events that happened there.
King: Eda! Do tell that story.
As King, with his eyes closed, motioned Eda to do so, Eda motioned everyone to stay silent by shushing them.
Eda: Oh. Well, not much to tell. I was just flying around one night and stumbled upon the island to rest. I met King along the way, and we got along; I took him home with me and told him about the life of a King that was his when he was building soldiers.
King: Indeed. I crafted soldiers from my very own power. And once I fully unlock my true power, all of you who stood by my side, I will personally place you among my highest ranks, my generals, my sole confidants!
Luz applauded, then Amity, Gus, and Willow.
Edric: Ooh! Ooh! Can I be in charge of public relations? I can easily woo the people when need be.
Emira: What do you know about "wooing" people?
Edric: I know more than you do.
Emira tried to slap Edric's arm, but he blocked and swatted it away instantly, which made Amity roll her eyes in annoyance. Just then, a good aroma filled everyone's nostrils, indicating only one thing.
Sora: *from the kitchen* Everyone! Lunchtime!
As soon as they heard that, they ran to the kitchen to see the table loaded with bowls of chopped meat stewed in a dark red broth with rice inside. The food, of course, was beef tendon curry.
Sora: *chef's bow* Beef tendon curry is served.
