Chapter 62: What's One More Mistake?

Harry put his head under the shower and allowed the water to rinse the soap out of his now short hair; as the strong fragrance of the shampoo filled his nostrils, Harry reached up and ran his hands through his hair. Last week, Harry complained about needing his hair trimmed because it had gotten a little too long and was becoming hot and itchy; Sirius had refused to take him to a barber. Sirius' reason was that it was too dangerous for Harry to go out. Regulus offered to cut it for him, and like an idiot, Harry had let him; he did a good job; surprisingly, the problem was, he didn't trim Harry's hair; he cut it off, now it was barely below his ears, and curly up at the ends.

Harry turned off the shower, grabbed a towel, and dried himself off. It was now the summer holiday, it had been for a few weeks, and tomorrow was Harry's sixteenth birthday; for the first time since gaining a real family, Harry wasn't looking forward to it, not with the war going on, and the threat of him dying over his head, even if Regulus did find a way to get the piece of Voldemort's soul out of him ( Harry doubted he would ) there was still a chance he would die by the time the war was over, just like Loki had pointed out when he caught Harry sneaking back into Hogwarts. Harry was Voldemort's primary target, and he would stop at nothing until Harry was dead, and due to that stupid prophecy that shouldn't even be real. Harry was the only one who could kill him, and even with all his Defense Against the Dark Arts knowledge, all the training his parents had given him, and even his Jotunn abilities, there was no way Harry was going to beat Voldemort.

Harry tossed his towel in the hamper, grabbed his underwear off the shelf where his clothes were lying, put them on, and then put on a pair of black jeans. Then he slipped a white t-shirt over his head, grabbed his glasses, cleaned the lenses, and put them on. Harry left the bathroom, entered his bedroom, and sat on the edge of his bed to put on his socks; the wooden floors in the old Black family home could get a little too warm for Harry's feet during the summer, Loki had complained about this too, it was a bit funny, really, during the summer the wooden floors were too warm for Loki and Harry's feet, but didn't bother Sirius, and during the winter, Sirius would complain about the floors being too cold, but the cold floor didn't bother Loki or Harry.

Harry stood, picked up the black leather fingerless gloves Sirius had given him, and put them on. He then strapped his dagger to his leg, picked up his wand, put it in his front pocket, grabbed Loki's fedora, put it on his head, left his bedroom, and headed down to the kitchen; when Harry opened the kitchen door, the room was empty. A note was sitting on the table next to a plate of food with a warming charm on it. Harry picked up the note and read it; it was from Loki, explaining to Harry that Loki, Sirius, Andromeda, and Regulus had gone to Andromeda's house to check on the place and strengthen the wards and enchantments and would be back sometime in the afternoon. Harry sat the note aside and then sat down to eat; with his parents, Regulus and Andromeda, away, the only two at Grimmauld Place were Harry and Thor since Ted and Tonks were at work. Harry decided that once he had finished breakfast, he would see if Thor wanted to play chess or some other game since there was nothing else to do.

Harry picked at his food, now feeling a little grumpy, it was unfair, that Harry was constantly having to stay shut up inside of Grimmauld Place, while everyone else got to go out and do stuff, the election was getting closer, so Loki and Sirius were leaving the house regularly for stuff involving that, a couple of times, Loki, Sirius, Regulus, and Thor, had gone out together to stop a couple of attacks they knew about thanks to warning owls being sent by the still mind-controlled Lucius Malfoy, leaving Harry at Grimmauld Place with Andromeda if it wasn't Loki and Sirius leaving the house, it was Sirius and Regulus, what they were going out to do Harry had no clue, but Regulus always returned with a few books, and Harry hadn't even been allowed to go to the ministry and testify against Umbridge last week, because of Harry being Voldemort's number one target, Amelia Bones allowed Loki and Sirius to bring in Harry's memories and pictures of his hand as evidence, instead of testifying against her, she was found guilty, but as of yet had not been sentenced, Sirius said, it wouldn't matter if she was, since the dementors abandoned Azkaban she wouldn't be getting the punishment she deserved anyway, the Minister waited too long to convict her.

Harry stirred his eggs around on his plate but didn't eat them. The day after Harry had gotten grounded for four weeks, Sirius got an owl from Andromeda about Regulus sneaking out of Grimmauld Place, Sirius isn't stupid no matter how much he might act it sometimes, and he knew right away, that Regulus had snuck down to Hogsmeade to see Harry, had demanded Harry to tell him how many times he had snuck out to meet Regulus, and why, Harry admitted he had been sneaking into Hogsmeade all school year, but refused to say why, so, Sirius left Hogwarts, and went home to talk to Regulus, who confessed that Harry was right about how long they had been meeting up in Hogsmeade and Regulus confessed he was teaching Harry Occlumancy, Sirius then resigned from Hogwarts, to go home and keep an eye on Regulus, and Loki, added no using the invisibility cloak rest of the school year to Harry's punishment, and took it from him, then canceled the rest of his classes for the year, so, he could teach the remainder of Sirius's classes and of course, Lavender and Parvati giggled over Loki being so handsome, which annoyed Loki to no end.

"This sucks," Harry mumbled to himself as he pushed his plate away; Regulus only had a book and a half left, and he would have translated all of the Nordic runes books from the ritual room, and Harry had read through most of the ones in English. They have yet to find anything on how to remove a soul piece from a Horcrux. Whenever Regulus was at home and not helping Sirius with anything, he would drag Harry into the ritual room, and they'd go through the books. Still, Harry felt it was useless; he had little hope before, and even less hope now, that they would find a way to remove the piece of soul that still resides in Harry's scar, and Harry has come to accept his fate when the time comes, he was going to allow Voldemort to kill him, he thought this over for a couple of weeks, and has already written a will, and wrote each family member, and the Avengers goodbye letters, and had started on ones to all his friends. In his will, he had split the Potter fortune between his family and friends and left Sirius the invisibility cloak, thinking he'd like to have something of James Potter's to remember him by.

This past Monday, Harry received his OWLs results, and his family, especially Sirius and Loki, were more than happy with his scares; his lowest grade had been an A, which was in Care of Magical Creatures, and Harry's highest grade was an O, which he received three in Defense Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Charms, then got an E in Transfigurations, Astronomy, and Potions. That last one had surprised Harry; he hadn't expected to get above an A if that in Potions, he guessed, since Snape wasn't breathing down his neck during the exam, Harry could think. Though Harry still wouldn't be able to continue Potion, Snape didn't accept lower than O for his NEWT class, which was fine with Harry, he had stopped going to Potions last year and wasn't playing to go back this year, his plan was to avoid Snape as much as possible during his last two years at Hogwarts.

Harry stood, went to the refrigerator, and got out a muggle soda (a drink the Avengers brought into the house) Harry opened it and was taking a drink when the kitchen door opened, and Thor walked in, wearing blue jeans, a red t-shirt and a blue flannel with Mjolnir was hanging from his belt.

"I was just going to come find you," Harry said, then tilted his head as he looked at Thor, "Is something wrong?" Thor didn't answer at first; he looked hesitant but then shook it off and turned to Harry.

"Do you know where Sirius keeps the keys to his motorcycle?" Thor asked. The question was so unexpected that it took Harry a moment to figure out if he had heard Thor correctly.

"Why?" Harry asked.

"Jane needs my help, I can't fly there because I need to take you with me and I can't drive a car," Thor explained.

"Why do you have to take me with you?" Harry asked.

"Because I'm your babysitter, and I can not leave you here alone," Thor said. "I swore to Loki I would watch after you while he was gone."

"You're not my babysitter," Harry said, "We just happen to be the only two home."

"Exactly, so I cannot go unless you go with me," Thor said. "So, do you know where-"

"Can you even drive a motorcycle?" Harry asked.

"I have….once," Thor said.

"I don't know where Sirius keeps his keys," Harry said, "He likely has them on him. If not, they would probably be in their bedroom and I wouldn't go-." Thor was already out of the kitchen before Harry finished his sentence; shaking his head, Harry took another drink of his soda, wondering if Thor hadn't completely lost his mind, Harry went over to the table, sat his soda down, and went to pick his plate up to dump what was left of his breakfast out when Thor came hurrying back into the kitchen holding up Sirius' keys, and grinning.

"They were on the nightstand beside the bed," Thor said. Harry was surprised; he wouldn't think Sirius would leave his keys behind, but then again, he probably didn't know someone would go into his and Loki's bedroom and search for them. Lately, Loki has been teleporting them everywhere instead of Sirius driving.

"Oh no…no..no." Harry shook his head, "You want to take me out, without my parent's permission, to see your girlfriend and steal my father's motorcycle to do it? Do you have a death wish?"

"I am not afraid of Loki," Thor said, stepping over to Harry and gently taking hold of his arm.

"Loki isn't who I'm talking about," Harry said. "Sirius is who you should fear, stealing his prized motorcycle plus kidnapping his son? He'll hurt you worse than Loki would."

"I am not stealing Sirius' motorcycle; I am borrowing it and I'm not kidnapping you." Thor denied, leading Harry toward the kitchen door. "I am the babysitter." Harry didn't resist even though he knew he should, and he allowed his uncle to drag him up the basement steps.

"Babysitter or not, taking me somewhere without my parent's permission is still classified as kidnapping." Harry pointed out as Thor walked him across the entryway.

"Nonsense," Thor said, leading Harry upstairs.

"Umm, Thor, you're not going to get out of the house by going upstairs," Harry said, "Unless you're planning on jumping out a window."

"Do not be silly, Nephew," Thor said, "You need your shoes."

"Oh," Harry replied, looking down at his feet; he had forgotten he hadn't put on his shoes. Thor stopped outside Harry's bedroom door and opened it; Harry entered, grabbed his Converse, and went over to his bed to sit and put them on, then stood as Thor motioned for Harry to follow him out of the room and down the stairs, then down the long hall, to the end, where there was a backdoor, that up until a few weeks ago, hadn't been used in over a decade.

"Come, Nephew," Thor opened the door and motioned for Harry to go outside; he knew he should refuse to go, refuse to leave the safety of Grimmauld Place, but Harry was bored; all he had done since arriving home was either help Regulus search through magic books, the closest to fun Harry had was helping Sirius in his workshop. Harry is also curious about what is so important that Thor risks Loki's raft and Sirius's anger to rush off and see Jane Foster instead of waiting until someone returns to stay with Harry.

"What about Voldemort?" Harry asked, turning to Thor; he pulled Mjolnir off his belt and flipped it.

"Voldemort shows up, he'll eat Mjolnir again," Thor announced.

"And if we run into a rogue dementor?" Harry asked, crossing his arms.

"They will be struck down by lightning," Thor said, hooking Mjolnir back on his belt. "No harm will come to you while we are away, Nephew, this I promise you."

"Mum is going to ground me for the rest of the summer," Harry mumbled, stepping out the back door, Thor right behind him, and together they walked the few feet to Sirius' workshop, the first week of Summer break, Loki and Sirius had gone to the cottage for some things, while there Loki had somehow teleported Sirius' workshop and everything in it to the backyard of Grimmauld Place. Then Sirius drove his car over and parked it next to the workshop, and they wouldn't even allow Harry to go with them to do that.

"Do not worry, I will not allow Loki to ground you," Thor said.

"You can't stop him; he's my parent, not you," Harry said, pointing at the chain and padlock on the workshop doors. "We don't have the key to that."

Thor reached out and broke the chain off the door, tossed it and the padlock to the side, then opened the doors; Harry stared at him disbelievably.

"I will pay for a new chain if Sirius wishes," Thor said. Harry just shook his head and stepped into the workshop. Sirius had his bike parked in the middle of the room, which was completely finished now, even had enchantments on it. Sirius had taken it out for a ride around the block a few times, and even though Loki claimed he didn't like the "death trap," he had been on the back of it three times since summer started. The bike was awesome-looking, painted green, resembling Loki's magic, with black and yellow flames that resembled Sirius' magic; it also had silver chrome around the bottom.

"Get on," Thor said as he kicked the stand up, climbed on, and started the bike; the engine roared to life; the bike was a little loud, but Sirius swore it was supposed to be that way.

Again, Harry knew he shouldn't; he was not allowed to go anywhere, but he was also the only one not allowed to leave the house. The Avengers, all but Thor and Natasha, went back out on the Horcrux hunt; Remus and Natasha went on a side mission of their own; where they went and what they were doing, Harry didn't know; Tonks went to work every day, and Regulus, Sirius, and Loki could go wherever the hell they wanted, on the first day of summer vacation, Sirius left the house with Regulus. When they returned hours later, Sirius had another tattoo, a Hungarian Horntail. The tattoo began with the dragon's head covering the front of Sirius' right shoulder, just above his chest, then went over his shoulder, and down the front of Sirius's arm. He's even gone back several times to have it shaded in. Loki was unhappy about the new addition to Sirius' body, and Regulus agreed, saying he told Sirius that it made him look even more ridiculous.

"When my parents find out about this, remember you made me go," Harry said, then climbed on the back of the bike and gripped the back of Thor's shirt while he kept back far enough it wouldn't be awkward or weird, but close enough he wouldn't fall off. If Sirius can go out and get a tattoo, and the others are allowed to come and go as they please, then Harry can accompany Thor to wherever he is going.

Thor slowly pulled out of the workshop, eased the bike out of the backyard, down the driveway, then gunned it out of the driveway, and Loki's fedora flew off Harry's head; he tried to catch it but was unable and cursed as he turned back to Thor. Once they got onto the main highway, Thor was going so fast, Harry had to grip his shirt so tight his fingers were turning red, and he was sure the motorcycle wasn't going normal speeds as Thor zoomed past cars and in and out of traffic before Harry knew it, Thor pulled into the parking lot of an abandoned warehouse, parked next to a beat-up old vehicle, and shut off the bike. Harry climbed off the back, smiling a little; he had to admit, that was fun.

"You owe Loki a hat," Harry said, running his hand through his now-tangled curls.

"Thor!" Someone shouted. Harry turned to see Jane Foster running towards them; following her were two people Harry didn't know: a man who looked to not be much older than Harry, early to mid-twenties, with dark hair, and a woman who looked around the same age, with long dark hair, and wearing glasses.

"Jane." Thor greeted his ex-girlfriend happily, then turned to the woman wearing glasses. "Darcy, good to see you." he turned to the guy. "I do not know you."

"This is Darcy's intern," Jane said.

"Ian," he said as he shook Thor's hand.

"Cool bike," Darcy said, checking out Sirius' motorcycle.

"It's my Dad's bike, Thor stole it." Harry said, The three of them looked at Harry, then turned to Thor.

"I borrowed it." Thor said, "Sirius is a good friend, I do not steal from friends."

"That's debatable," Harry said, "Besides, friends or not, taking something without asking permission is still classified as stealing."

"The kid has a point," Darcy said. "He's also adorable; look at those curls." Harry scowled. "Who is he?"

"Darcy Lewis," Thor said, "Meet my nephew, Harry Potter, Harry, this is my friend Darcy Lewis."

"You mean Loki's kid, the one Jane keeps going about?" Darcy asked, looking at Harry with more interest. "Oh my god, I can see it; he is totally Loki's kid."

"Now that you have confirmed I am Loki's kid, I can sleep at night knowing I wasn't lied to," Harry replied in the most sarcastic voice he could master; Darcy just smiled at him.

"Sarcastic, I like you," Darcy said, Harry made a face.

"I'm sorry, " Jane said, turning to Thor. "But what is he doing here?"

"I was babysitting when you called, so I brought Harry along," Thor said. Harry, embarrassed and annoyed by Jane's tone, scowled at Thor.

"You were not babysitting me; I'm too old for a babysitter," Harry said.

"Look," Jane said. "What we found here, what I want to show you, is real important; this wasn't the time to let Loki's kid tag along; what if he tells Loki? He probably shouldn't know about this."

"I don't tattle to my mum about every little thing," Harry said, "I won't have to anyway; if we aren't back before my mum and dad get home, they'll both find out about whatever it is you think Thor should know." Harry raised his arm and tapped his watch. "This has a magical tracker on it; once Sirius and Loki find me missing, they'll trace me here."

"Great, just great," Jane said.

"We will make it home before Loki and Sirius," Thor said.

"We don't need Loki showing up here," Jane said.

"Listen," Harry said, "Whatever you have in that warehouse, my parents aren't going to care about; the only thing they'll care about is finding me and causing Thor pain for bringing me here."

"If you think that, then you don't know Loki very well" Jane said.

"Oh, and you do?" Harry demanded, "You who have spent about two hours in the same room with him, where he only spoke one sentence to you. Yeah, you know my mum so much better than I do."

"Let's not argue." Darcy interrupted, "Harry is here now; there's nothing we can do about it; let's just show Thor before someone else turns up."

"What I want you to see is inside," Jane said, then turned and headed towards the warehouse. Darcy and Ian followed. Thor pushed Harry forward, and the two started walking towards the warehouse.

"This better be worth getting grounded over," Harry said as he and Thor entered the building. Jane, Darcy, and Ian were standing by an old abandoned lorry; Darcy grabbed hold of the bottom then, to Harry's shock, lifted it in the air and turned it over, where it just floated there upside down.

"It's like there's no gravity there," Jane said, "And that's not the only thing." She hurried towards an old rusty staircase. Ian and Darcy followed. Thor and Harry glanced at one another and followed them up to the top of the stairs, to a square balcony overlooking the first floor.

"Hand me a can," Darcy said. Ian turned and picked up a smashed beer can lying on the ground and handed it to Darcy, she threw it over the edge; it disappeared halfway down and then reappeared, falling from the ceiling, where it kept falling until it disappeared for good and did not reappear.

"Umm… that's not supposed to do that, right?" Thor asked, looking up.

"Sure it is," Harry said, "things like that happen all the time on Midgard."

"Harry, hush," Thor said, causing Harry to laugh; as he gripped the railing and leaned over, looking toward the bottom, Thor grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him back. "You will fall."

"You're worse than my Mum." Harry teased, and Thor playfully glared at him.

"I need something else to throw," Darcy said, looking around; she picked up a bottle and threw it over; it did the same as the can, disappeared, then reappeared, falling from the ceiling, then Ian tossed another bottle in, and on and on it went with Darcy and Ian, throwing cans and bottles and other rubbish that was lying around over the side of the balcony.

"Do you have any guesses as to what could be causing that or what happened to the truck?" Jane asked Thor, his brow furrowed as he looked over the balcony's edge, then looked up.

"It might be the Convergence." Thor replied, "Before my return, Heimdall mentioned they were close."

"The what?" Jane asked.

"Every two thousand years, the worlds align perfectly; we call this the Convergence. During this time, the borders between worlds become blurred, opening doorways to the other realms." Thor explained.

"And you think this might be one of the doorways?" Jane asked.

"I do." Thor nodded, "Once the worlds pass out of alignment, the connection is lost, and the doorways close."

"Isn't that what was happening during your grandfather's war with the Dokkalfar?" Harry asked; the Convergence sounded familiar.

"Ah, I see Loki has taught you Asgardain history," Thor said, "And correct, that's the last time this happened."

"I'm sorry, the what?" Jane said.

"Dokkalfar," Harry said, "The Dark Elves, Loki taught about them in history class." He thought about that picture in the book in the ritual room; he was sure the elf-like creature his ancestor had fought was a Dokkalfar, but if so, that would mean Asgard used to get help from Midgard during times of war between the realms, so why did Odin think so little of them when his father sought their help?

"Did you say Loki taught at your school?" Jane asked.

"Yes, he's our best teacher," Harry said.

"What does he teach? World domination class." Jane said, smiling a little as if she thought the joke was funny.

"Is that supposed to be a joke? It wasn't even funny," Harry said.

"Damn it, I'm out of things to throw," Darcy interrupted. "Here, let me see that stick."

Before Harry realized what Darcy was talking about, she grabbed Harry's wand out of his pocket and tossed it over the balcony.

"Hey!" Harry cried out, trying to grab it, but it was too late. His wand was gone, and when Harry looked up, hoping to catch it when it fell back down, it didn't show.

"Yeah…sometimes they don't come back," Darcy said, and Harry glared at her. If it weren't for him breaking wizarding law, he'd curse her right at that moment, painfully.

"You're an adult; you should know better than to steal other people's stuff and throw it into another dimension," Harry said, glaring at her.

"Sorry." Darcy shrugged, "It was just a stick."

"Just a stick." Harry repeated, "Just a stick."

"It is not another dimension," Thor said, and Harry glared at him, "It is a doorway. Your wand is likely on another realm by now, but not another dimension."

"Whatever," Harry said, making a face, stepping closer to the railing, and holding his hand out over the side.

"Did you say wand?" Ian asked, "Like what magicians use to pull rabbits out of hats?"

"No, Harry is not a magician," Thor said. Harry ignored their conversation and focused on his magic as it flowed from fingertips; if this doorway led to another realm, it should be opened on both sides, so a summing charm should bring his wand back. If not, Harry might toss Darcy over the edge after it.

"Accio Wand"

Harry whispered the spell and waited; he didn't have to worry about the ministry detecting his underage magic since he didn't use his wand to do the spell. Harry just hoped it worked. Two minutes after Harry said the summoning charm, his wand flew out of the doorway and straight into Harry's hand.

"Yes," Harry cried, happy to have his wand safely back into his hand, though it was still tempting to toss Darcy over the edge; maybe he'd throw that stupid hat she was wearing to show her how it felt.

"That was bloody wicked," Ian said, staring at Harry as if he was the most exciting thing he'd ever seen; it was a little unnerving.

"What the hell is that?" Jane cried out, and Harry looked over the balcony again to see what looked like a reddish liquid gathering; then it headed upwards towards them, paused in the air; they all stared at it, and then, it turned and headed straight for Harry.

"Nephew," Thor pulled Mjolnir from his belt, ready to defend Harry, but he didn't streak the reddish liquid because he was afraid of accidentally hitting Harry; as the liquid surrounded him, Harry felt as if someone pointed a remote control at him and pressed pause because Harry lost all ability to move or talk, Harry could barely even think as he was lifted off the ground his wand slipped from his fingers, while the reddish liquid completely engulfed Harry, taking him out of view from everyone else. It all seemed to go on forever, but in reality, it only lasted a few minutes; as the liquid began to seep into Harry's skin, entering his body, his eyes turned a reddish black for a second, and then he fell back to the ground.

"Harry!" Thor rushed to his side and helped Harry sit up while Jane, Darcy, and Ian surrounded him. "Are you alright?"

Harry reached up and felt his scar. It was starting to sting a bit, but he couldn't sense any emotions from Voldemort. Harry was confused about whether that meant his Occlumancy didn't block the pain or if his head hurt for another reason.

"Is he okay?" Darcy asked. She was holding Harry's wand; after stopping it from rolling off the balcony, Thor didn't answer; he was busy checking Harry over for any visible injuries.

"Nephew-"

"I'm fine," Harry replied, glad he could speak and move. "I just….what was that?"

"I do not know," Thor admitted, "Come, I shall take you home."

"Thor," Jane said, lying her hand on his shoulder. "You should take him to the doctor; we don't know what that stuff did to him."

"I will take him home." Thor said, standing, "Once Loki returns, he will know how to help Harry."

Thor reached down and pulled Harry to his feet; he winched a little; it seemed like his scar hurt more with each passing second, and Harry was starting to feel a little queasy as Thor helped him down the staircase; the other three followed, Darcy still holding Harry's wand.

"I should have never let you drag me here," Harry said as he stepped off the last step.

"I should have never dragged you here," Thor agreed, guiding Harry by the lorry still floating upside down, "but there's nothing we can do about it now."

"You might want to hide once my parents get home," Harry said as they made it to the warehouse doors. Thor let go of him to open them, and Harry exited the building, his scar throbbing worse than before.

"Perhaps I'll call Heimdall; I should be safe on Asgard." Thor joked, then grinned when Harry laughed.

"Don't make me laugh," Harry said quietly, as he rubbed his scar; he stopped walking to wait for Thor, who was holding the door open for the three Muggles.

"I bid you farewell, Jane, Darcy, Ian," Thor said, shaking Ian's hand and hugging Darcy and Jane.

"Bye," Darcy replied, handing Thor Harry's wand, which he stuck in his back pocket. "Bye, Harry….Harry?"

Harry didn't answer; he lowered his hand from his scar and saw blood on his fingertips, and felt a shiver go down his spine as he suddenly felt fearful for his life as if someone or something was trying to kill him.

"Harry?" Thor asked Harry could hear the concern in his voice, so he turned to assure Thor he was fine and heard Jane and Darcy gasp. "You're bleeding."

Harry could feel the blood start to drip down his face; everything started spinning, and Harry dropped to his knees feeling excruciating pain, as his scar burst open. Harry leaned back, opened his mouth, and let out a blood-curdling scream, he was confident the scream wasn't coming from him, but somewhere deep in Harry's mind, something was crying out in fear and pain, something was dying, Harry could feel it.

Harry stopped screaming; his eyes turned red, then darkened to black, his face was covered in blood now; it was a frightening sight. Thor hurried to his nephew and laid his hand on his shoulder; the moment he touched him, an enormous blast of energy shot out of Harry's body, lifting Thor off his feet, and through a window of the warehouse, Jane, Darcy, and Ian were all knocked back survival feet, Jane landed on her back. She hit her head hard on the ground and didn't move. Ian cried out as his ankle snapped when he fell to the ground, and Darcy groaned but was uninjured; the blast broke the windows in every surrounding building, including those across the street, and most of the vehicles in the parking lots were either thrown or tossed around. Sirius' motorcycle was lifted off the ground and flung into the third-story windows of the office building across the street, and Jane's car ended up upside down on a vehicle in the parking lot of the building next to it; after a second, both cars exploded, with a loud bang, shaking the ground a little.

Then, as fast as it happened, it stopped, except for a few car alarms; everything went silent. Harry fell over on his side and didn't move, Darcy and Ian were able to make it over to Jane, where Darcy pulled out her phone and started calling for an ambulance. All around them, the people in the buildings came out to investigate what had happened. Some were injured, and others were shaken up or in shock as they looked around, pulling out phones, making phone calls, or video-typing everything around them.

With a loud rumble of thunder, Thor flew out of the warehouse, in his armor now, with Mjolnir in his hand, ready to fight once his feet touched the ground, but there was no one to fight; his eyes landed on Harry lying on the ground, a small puddle of blood around his head, Thor hooked Mjolnir on his belt and ran to Harry, he didn't even look Jane's way as he dropped to his knees next to his fallen nephew, and slowly, carefully reached his hand out and shook Harry's shoulder.

"Harry?" Thor said, but Harry didn't move, and Thor felt his pulse then sighed in relief, Harry was alive, hurt, but alive. Thor couldn't help but think this was his fault; he promised Harry he wouldn't get hurt, and he broke that promise.

"It's Thor?" someone called out, "Did he hurt that kid?"

Thor looked up and then around him at the destruction and people video-typing them. Thor grimaced when he saw Sirius' motorcycle sticking out of a building.

Thor turned back to Harry, and as he heard the sound of police cars, ambulances, and a fire truck speeding down the road, Thor ignored it all, Harry needed medical attention now; he couldn't wait until Loki came home. Thor didn't know where Andromeda's house was located, and he sure wasn't taken him to that wizard hospital, which left just one other place where Thor could get Harry the help he neededhe was

Thor put his arm under the upper part of Harry's body, then put his other arm under his knees and gently lifted Harry off the ground as he stood; the emergency vehicles were pulling up all over, then police and EMTs jumped out; Darcy was waving towards an ambulance alerting them to an injured Jane. Again Thor ignored everyone and looked up towards the sky, ignoring the nagging feeling that this was another mistake, Thor opened his mouth and shouted.

"Heimdall"

Instantly, a bright light shot down from the sky and engulfed Thor; he held Harry tighter as he shot off towards the sky, taking Harry with him. Loki was already going to kill Thor over what happened to Harry, so what was one more mistake?

AN: I mentioned in an earlier chapter that in my story Wanda got her powers from the Aether, then it disappeared from Hydra, well, the person who stole it, had it in the back of the truck in the warehouse, it broke itself out of the container it was in and been in the warehouse just floating around, when the doorway opened up it fell in. I hope that makes sense.

I don't know if I can fit the explanation in a chapter, but, when Harry used the summoning charm to get his wand back, the Aether felt the magic and came back through the doorway and into Harry, the movie said the Aether feeds on the entry of the host or something like that, well, between his magic and having his soul, and a piece of another in him, he has a lot of different entry, and that attracted the Aether to him. I hope that makes sense.

I know Sirius has gotten a lot of tattoos now, but don't worry at the moment I only plan on him getting one more, but that won't be to either the end of this story or in the squeal, he'll have a good reason for it.

Thor The Dark World in my favorite Thor movie believe it or not, and I've been looking forward to writing this part since I started the story, hopefully, it's good.
