Chapter 64: Getting Ready For A Battle.
Regulus' day started normal. He woke up, took a shower, ate breakfast, and accompanied Sirius, Andromeda, and Loki to Andromeda's house to check on the house and wards and to decorate for Harry's surprise birthday party; afterward, Regulus thought he'd go home, have lunch, then drag Harry into the ritual room for more book translating, but instead, they returned home to find Harry's hat lying on the lawn, Sirius' workshop doors open, his motorcycle missing, and the house empty. Loki was about to track Harry using his locket when Nymphadora showed up in a panic, yelling about being called to a scene where the Ministry believed had been a Death Eater attack, only to learn the destruction she saw was not caused by Death Eaters but by Harry, and Thor beamed him up into the sky with a bright light. Nymphadora explained she had seen what happened on video witnesses captured on their smartphones. Loki had mumbled something along the lines of he wouldn't. Then, he checked his locket, and Harry was on Asgard with Thor. Loki had gotten so angry Regulus feared he would destroy the house. Fortunately, Sirius knew how to calm the hot-tempered god, and they decided Sirius, Regulus, and Loki would teleport to Asgard to kick Thor's arse and retrieve Harry, but not before Regulus was forced to change into muggle clothes because the Asgardians might mistake his wizard robes for bathrobes and take offense to Regulus arriving wearing them.
After arriving to see some weird creature attacking Harry, Regulus was now leaning against a gold pillar, listening to Loki and his father argue. Regulus never thought he'd meet a father worse than his, but Odin was quickly becoming that, and no matter how powerful the man was, Regulus had no respect for him; he disliked Odin more with every word he spoke.
"What do you mean he is your son?" Odin demanded, taking an angry step toward Loki. Sirius grabbed Loki's arm and pulled him back while stepping partly in front of him. Odin turned to Sirius, "You stay out of this, Midgardian."
"No," Sirius replied, and even though Odin was taller and more powerful than him, Sirius stared Odin down; he was not afraid of the so-called protector of the nine realms, even when he narrowed his one eye and griped the staff in his hand. Regulus wondered if he was going to have to get himself killed trying to protect his idiotic brother from a god, but thankfully, Loki seemed to sense the danger that Sirius was close to being in and grabbed Sirius' arm and pulled him back, leaned in and whispered something in his ear, whatever Loki said, calmed Sirius down a little, then Loki turned back to Odin.
"Harry is my son, my own flesh and blood, half Midgardian wizard and half Jotunn," Loki replied, standing up straighter and looking proud. Odin frowned at Loki.
"How?" Odin demanded, "The child is half-grown; you haven't been running around Midgard avoiding capture for that long." Odin threw an accusing look at Thor.
"You are right; I have not been hiding on Midgard that long," Loki said, "But, you do remember when I traveled to the Midgardian magical community to help in a war? Harry's birth happened then."
"Are you sure?" Odin demanded, "Are you sure he is your son?" Loki scoffed, and Sirius snorted; really, Odin was an idiot.
"No, he just claimed me for the hell of it," Harry said sarcastically, then pulled away from Loki, wandered over to the older woman Regulus assumed was Frigga, Thor, and Loki's mother, and stood between her and a blonde-haired girl. Regulus watched as Harry asked if she was alright; she nodded and rubbed her jaw.
"Yes, I am positive that Harry is my child," Loki said. "I could not deny him even if I wanted to. And I do not."
"Who is the boy's mother?" Odin demanded, "Where is she?"
"You are looking at her," Loki replied, shifting into her female form. The group of people standing with Thor was staring at Loki with looks of shock on their faces, though the woman quickly got over it. She looked from Loki to Sirius, then her eyes looked past them and landed on Regulus, where she stared a long moment before realizing what she was doing and turned away from him, with her face turning pink. Regulus knew who she must be, Lady Sif, which would make the three guys with her, The Warriors Three; he's heard Thor and Loki talk about them enough to know that he could even guess which was which because Loki once called Fandral the blonde moron, and Volstagg the fat idoit.
"You?" Odin demanded.
"Me," Loki replied, "I became with child; I carried that child to full term, gave birth to my child, and knowing how you would react, I abandoned my son with his father and returned to Asgard, so, yes, I am sure Harry is my son."
"You abandon him shortly after his birth?" Odin asked, "That sounds familiar."
Regulus didn't understand what Odin meant, but Loki did; he shifted back into his male form and looked ready to fight Odin.
"Laufey abandoned me because I was a runt." Loki snapped, "I abandoned Harry to protect him and his father from you; the two are incomparable."
"Do not blame me for your mistakes," Odin replied.
"Harry is not a mistake," Loki said. Odin gave Loki a look that Regulus didn't care for, and he just knew Odin was about to say something that would anger Sirius, so he decided that a distraction was needed; this scene was getting too close to something that would have played out at Grimmauld Place when he and Sirius were still kids, so Regulus loudly cleared his throat, and everyone turned to look at him.
"This is entertaining and all, but can we go now?" Regulus asked. "I have things to do."
The look Odin gave Regulus was unnerving; his one eye widened, and his mouth slightly open as he stared at Regulus as if he'd seen a ghost. Sirius must have noticed, too, because he looked between Regulus and Odin and looked ready to jump to his little brother's defense, but Odin shook his head and turned away.
"The Bifrost is now closed; no one is allowed on or off Asgard, not until I give permission," Odin said.
"You can't stop us from leaving," Regulus said.
"I am the King; I can do whatever I feel necessary to keep my realm safe," Odin replied; he didn't look at Regulus while talking to him, which annoyed him more with Odin's words.
"You were doing such a brilliant job protecting your realm a moment ago," Loki replied. Odin turned to him, a look of announce on his face.
"I would keep silent if I were you." Odin said, "I am in no mood for your back talk; you should be thanking me for not throwing you in the dungeons where you belong."
"Hey," Sirius said, and Loki gripped his hand, but Odin ignored him and continued talking to Loki.
"The only reason I am not throwing you in the dungeons is because your help is needed when Malekith returns, but you can rest assured when this is all over, that is where you'll be."
"No, he won't," Sirius said. Odin stared back at him with a look of loathing on his face.
"You cannot tell me what I can do in my realm," Odin said, his voice rising. Loki pulled Sirius back, giving him a warning look that Sirius ignored.
"I'm not telling you what you can do; I'm telling you what you can't do, and you aren't locking Loki up in any dungeons. I won't let you," Sirius said.
"Sirius," Loki said. He had a pleading note in his voice, and Regulus was about to interfere and knock some sense into his brother, but Odin laughed a long, cruel laugh.
"You think you can take me on, boy, come try it." Odin said, "I am Odin, the Allfather, protector of the nine realms, the King of Asgard."
Sirius scoffed, "Up here maybe, but down on earth, you ain't shit."
"Sirius, stop it," Loki said.
"Keep up your disrespect, and you'll be in the dungeons. I doubt you'll be of any help with the dark elves." Odin said. "Even Midgardian wizards don't hold much power compared to the rest of the nine realms."
Sirius opened his mouth to reply to Odin, but Regulus decided it was time for him to intervene. He rushed forward and covered Sirius' mouth with his hand.
"Do you want to get yourself killed, you fool?" Regulus whispered in his brother's ear. "This isn't Father or Mother; just keep your mouth shut."
Sirius pulled away from Regulus and glared at him, looking ready to take his anger at Odin out on him, but Thor stepped forward and spoke to Odin.
"Father, Sirius does not mean disrespect; he's just very protective of Loki." Thor tried to explain away Sirius' behavior. Odin scowled and then gave Thor a heated look.
"You stay out of this, son," Odin ordered. "You are already in enough trouble."
"Trouble for what?" Loki demanded, coming to Thor's defense despite being angry with him.
"In trouble for doing what he's always done," Odin answered, "Take your side no matter what you've done, protect you, and lie for you, cover up for you."
"They're brothers," Regulus said as he removed his hand from Sirius' mouth. "That's what brothers do." Odin looked from him to Sirius.
"What is he to you?" Odin asked, pointing at Sirius.
"My brother…why?" Regulus demanded; Odin dropped his hand and nodded.
"I thought so; the resemblance between you two is too much for you not to be," Odin replied. "I noticed the child Loki claims also looks a lot like the two of you; you also look like-" Odin stopped his sentence immediately, and Sirius narrowed his eyebrows.
"Look like what?" he demanded defensively; Odin turned to him.
"Nothing, you just keep out of my business, Midgardian; I will punish Loki as I see fit," Odin said. "If I had not already announced the Biforst closed, I would toss you in it and send you back to Midgard myself."
"Do not threaten Sirius," Loki said.
"I do not want to hear anything from you, Loki," Odin said, "Not after everything you have done; I found you nearly frozen, about to die, tossed out by your kind; I brought you into my home; I fed you, and clothed you, you became a prince of Asgard. I made you a god, and look how you repay me."
"Father." Thor tried, but Odin held up his hand to silence him and continued shouting at Loki.
"You repaid me by tricking me into banishing my son, taking over Asgard, and then after we all thought you were dead, you show up on Midgard raging war, on a planet you were sent to help not too many years before that," Odin said. "You have avoided capture too long; you will be taken to the dungeons. When Malekith is dealt with, you will no longer avoid your sentence."
"But, he's needed on Midgard," Harry said, and Odin turned to him.
"I beg your pardon?"
"Voldemort is back." Harry announced, "The Dark wizard you once sent Mum to stop, he's back and not only causing havoc in the magical community, but it's spilling out into the muggle community as well; Mum hasn't been hiding from capture all this time, Mum has been helping Midgard."
Odin chuckled, "Helping? Yes, Loki did such a great job the last time I sent him down there."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Loki demanded; Odin turned back to him.
"It means you were no help at all. Were you?" Odin demanded. "You can not even follow simple instructions. What was so hard about what I ordered you to do? Go to Midgard, stop a dark wizard from causing a war, then come home."
"I was-"
"You were not; your child is proof of that." Odin said, pointing at Harry, "You were not putting a stop to anyone; you were too busy lying beneath every Midgardian you met."
The room grew silent at Odin's words as the Asgardians stared at him in shock, all but Loki, who now wore a hurt expression, and the moment Sirius saw a tear slip from his eyes, his anger on Loki's behalf turned to rage; with a growl, he drew back his fist and punched Odin as hard as he could; his head turned sideways, causing Odin to stumble back and his helmet slipped off his head and fell to the floor with a loud cling.
"Sirius," Loki mumbled, his hurt expression turned to one of shock.
"Fuck," Sirius said, holding his hand. "bastard has a hard head."
"No one told you to hit him, idiot." Loki scowled. He reached out and gently took Sirius' hand to check if he had broken it; Sirius winched when Loki bent his fingers.
"I know what he meant and no one talks to you like that; I don't care who they are," Sirius said as Loki started healing his hand, as he gave Sirius a small smile; Odin got over his shock, and with a roar of rage, he pointed his staff at Sirius, about to fire it at him.
"No," Loki cried out in fear; he quickly shoved Sirius behind him, using his body to block him from Odin's staff. Sirius went to step out from behind Loki, but Regulus grabbed Sirius' arm to keep him from moving. Regulus was a little unnerved by the look of fear on Loki's face and in his voice, and he was trying to think of what he could do to defuse the tension, but Thor stepped up next to Loki.
"Father, no," Thor said.
"Move," Odin ordered. Harry ran over and stood on Sirius's other side, gripping his other arm, hoping to hold him back and keep him from doing anything else.
"Father," Thor said, "I cannot allow you to hurt Sirius or Loki."
"You cannot allow me?" Odin demanded, "I do not need your permission to do anything."
That was when Frigga hurried over and stood between her sons and husband; Odin immediately turned his staff towards the ceiling.
"Odin, please," Frigga said, "Do not hurt anyone."
Odin said nothing; he turned and stormed from the room, kicking his helmet on the way out. Frigga sighed in relief. Loki turned to Sirius and smacked his arm.
"What did you do that for?" Sirius demanded, rubbing his arm.
"You could have gotten yourself killed." Loki snapped. Sirius waved his hand dismissively, winked at Loki, causing him to mumble idiot, and then turned to Thor. "Why was Makeltih here? What did he want? I thought Bor killed him and all the Dokkalfar.
"Bor lied about the dark elves," Thor said.
"Liars must run in the family," Loki mumbled. Regulus turned to Harry and finally noticed his shirt was covered in blood.
"Why is there blood all over your shirt?" Regulus asked; at his questions, Sirius and Loki immediately turned to Harry, and then Loki turned to Thor, who suddenly looked nervous.
"Brother-"
"You still have not answered my question from earlier, Thor," Loki said, "Why did you bring my son here? Why did you even leave the house with him, and why is he covered in blood? You promised to look after him while Sirius and I were away."
"He said that's why I had to go with him," Harry said. "I told him I couldn't, but he dragged me out of the house."
"Harry," Loki said, giving Harry a look. "Tell the truth."
"I did say I couldn't go, and he kind of dragged me out of the house, but I didn't try too hard to stop him, and just went along with him." Harry shrugged, "I was bored. Everyone else gets to come and go as they please, but I'm just stuck there."
"And there is a good reason for that," Loki told him.
"We'll talk about that later," Sirius said, giving Harry a, you're in trouble look; Loki squeezed his shoulder affectionately and then turned his attention back to Thor.
"What was so important? You could not wait until Sirius and I returned home. Instead, you kidnap our son and brought him to the last place I wanted him to be." Loki demanded.
"I told you that was kidnapping," Harry said.
"Hush, Nephew," Thor said.
"Do not tell Harry to hush; that is rude," Loki said. "Now, what was so important that you left the house with Harry instead of waiting until Sirius and I returned home."
"I received a call from Jane-"
"Of course," Loki cried dramatically, throwing his hands in the air.
"I'm sorry, brother, I did not mean for Harry to get hurt, but-"
"Hurt?" Sirius and Loki demanded, and Thor winched at the glares they gave him.
"So, this is his blood?" Loki asked, motioning to Harry's shirt.
"My scar was bleeding," Harry explained.
"Your scar?" Loki asked, pushing Harry's hair off his forehead and feeling his scar. "Your scar has never bled before; why would it now? It feels different; it doesn't feel-" He didn't finish his sentence. Loki pulled his hand away, looking confused, while Regulus looked at Harry in surprise. Did something happen that…? No, they couldn't get that lucky. Could they?
"When the Aether went inside me, I got this bad headache; when an energy blast came from me, my scar burst open and started bleeding, then I blacked out; when I came two, I was on the rainbow bridge," Harry explained.
"Did you say Aether?" Loki demanded; he turned to Thor and demanded an explanation. Thor explained everything from getting the call from Jane to stealing Sirius' motorcycle to take Harry to meet Jane at a warehouse where the Aether appeared and went inside Harry, causing energy to burst from him and destroy everything around him; he ended his explanation with the attack on Asgard and how Malekith and the Dokkalfar had been after the Aether inside Harry.
Once Thor was finished explaining, Loki made a dagger appear in his hand, but before he could use it on his brother, Thor grabbed Sirius and pulled him in front of him; using Sirius as a shield, Loki gave Thor a look that was so frightening, it would have sent anyone else running. Sirius pulled himself from Thor's grip, stepped toward Loki, removed the dagger from his hand, and stuck it in his back pocket.
"Reigny," Sirius said, "You can murder Thor later; right now, we have to figure out how to get that Aether thing out of Harry."
"He cannot murder Thor later," Thor said. It amused Regulus how quickly the godly brothers could go from sticking up for each other to wanting to kill each other; it reminded him a bit of what he and Sirius were like when they both attended Hogwarts; they would constantly fight with each other, but if they saw anyone else fighting the other, Sirius and Regulus were quick to jump to their brother's defense.
Loki's nostrils flared in anger as he glared at Thor, but then Loki turned to Sirius, and his rage immediately faded. "You are right, my love; we will deal with Thor later. Right now, we must deal with the Aether."
"Eir is already looking for a way to get it out," Frigga told them, and Loki suddenly had a guilty look on his face as he looked at Frigga.
"Mother-"
"We'll talk about you hiding a secret child from me later," Frigga said, "But, right now, we have to focus on my grandson because if that Aether doesn't come out of him, he will die."
"What?" Loki and Sirius demanded as they pulled Harry between them and put their arms protectively around him. Frigga explained everything Odin said about the Aether feeding on Harry's life force, and Loki once again had the overwhelming urge to stab Thor in the most painful place he could think of.
"We'll get the damn thing out of Harry," Sirius said. "We are not losing him."
"We need to worry about Malekith first," Thor said.
"No, Thor, we do not; Harry comes-"
"Malekith wants the Aether," Thor argued, "He'll be back for it, and he'll come after Harry again."
"He's right, Reigny; we need to kill Malekith, then get the damn thing out of Harry," Sirius said; Loki scowled and dropped his arms from around Harry, then started pacing back and forth, mumbling to himself angrily; glowing green footprints appeared after Loki's every step until he stopped and looked at Harry's bloody t-shirt. Loki flicked his wrist at Harry, and his shirt immediately became clean.
"If Malekith is coming back, then we need to set a trap, be ready for him," Loki said.
"No, we need to take the Aether to him," Thor said, "Away from Asgard and trick-"
"Do I need to remind you that the Aether is inside my son?" Loki demanded, then started pacing again.
"I know where the Aether is, Loki, we'll be with him," Thor said, "it will be better if we take Harry to him-"
"No, we need to set a trap for him here," Loki argued, "If we go to Svartalfheim, he could have traps set for us; it'd be just a handful of us marching into an army of Dokkalfar; use your head, Thor, here, we have us, the Einherjar." Loki motioned towards Thor's friends. "Lady Sif and the Morons Three."
"The what?" Sirius asked.
"The Einherjar are the palace guards," Loki explained
"We are not The Morons Three." Volstagg said, "We are-"
"I know who you are," Loki snapped, then turned to Sirius. "I can shift into Harry, then lure Malekith to me and-"
"That will not work," Frigga said, "Malekith can sense the Aether when they attacked the last time; he knew right where to come to find Harry."
"Damn," Loki mumbled, his eyes narrowing.
"We'll have to keep Harry with us," Sirius said, "I hate to do it, but we can use him to lure Malekith into a trap; we'll be with him; we can protect him, stop Malekith before he gets close to him."
"Malekith might have a way to get the Aether out of me," Harry said, "I think that's why he lifted me in the air."
"We might be able to use that," Thor said, "Let Malekith draw the Aether out of Harry, then we destroy it before it can go into Malekith, then kill him."
"You cannot destroy the Aether, Thor," Loki said. "It's an Infinity Stone."
"What?" Sirius demanded, "An infinity stone? You mean like what's in your-"
"Yes," Loki replied. "A liquified version, but just as powerful and indestructible as the stones."
"Something that powerful is inside our son right now?" Sirius demanded.
"Yes, but Thor's ideal isn't bad," Loki said thoughtfully, "When Malekith gets the Aether out of Harry, we put it in something else, then kill Malekith. We'll need to have Harry out in the open, have us and the Einherjar with us; they can fight off Malekith's army while we deal with him. We will be next to Harry but concealed."
"Will the Einwhatsit listen to you?" Sirius asked.
"Einherjar," Loki corrected, "and they will listen to Thor." Loki glanced at his brother. "I think."
"They might, but I'll talk to Father; they have to listen to him," Thor said.
"Will Odin listen to you?" Sirius asked, "You did practically side with Reigny over him."
"I'll talk to Odin; he'll listen to me," Frigga said; she turned and left the room with a determined look. The blonde girl hurried after her, and Sirius sighed. He ran his hand through his hair again and looked at Loki, who looked just as stressed as Sirius.
"Why is someone always after our son?" Sirius demanded. Loki didn't reply. Instead, he pulled Sirius into his arms, and Sirius buried his face in Loki's shoulder as he wrapped his arms around Loki's waist. The Warriors Three and Sif stared at them in surprise. Regulus had a feeling they'd never seen Loki being affectionate towards someone. After a moment, Loki and Sirius pulled away from each other, and Loki frowned as he looked at Sirius over.
"Babe, what are you thinking?" Sirius asked, wary.
"If you and Regulus are going to fight, and Harry is going to lure Malekith into a trap, you'll need armor," Loki answered; he looked toward Regulus. "Follow me." Then, he left the room, dragging a protesting Sirius with him. Harry and Regulus gave each other an amused look and then followed.
"When we get home, I need you to check my scar." Harry whispered, "I think the Aether destroyed the Horcrux."
"I hope you're right," Regulus told him as they followed Loki down a long corridor; he turned left, led them down another long corridor, took a right and led them to a set of double doors. Loki pushed them open and led them inside the largest, fanciest bedroom Regulus had ever seen. The walls were gold, the floor green marble, with a large round green and black rug in the middle. A role of gold bookcases lined the back wall. The bed was huge, and on a little platform, you had to go up two steps to get to it; the bedding was a black duvet with two pillows on top in gold satin pillow shams. Two oversized throne-looking chairs sat on either side of a large marble fireplace; they were gold, the arms and legs were snakes, and the cushions were a dark green. Above the fireplace hung a portrait of Loki; he was dressed in armor different from what Regulus had seen him wear, and he was holding his helmet under his arm. Regulus didn't know how old the portrait was, but Loki hadn't aged since it was painted, but his hair was shorter.
"Is this your bedroom?" Harry asked, looking at the ceiling, Regulus looked up, and saw a green mosaic ceiling with Loki's symbol done in black in the middle.
"My chambers, yes," Loki replied, glancing around the room wistfully.
Sirius whistled as he walked towards the bed and laid down on it. "This is the most comfortable bed I've ever laid on, Reigny. We must smuggle it out of Asgard with us."
Loki chuckled as he headed over to another set of double doors and opened them. "I'm sorry, darling, it would not fit into our bedroom."
"We can magically expand it," Sirius said. Loki gave Surius an amused look, then entered the room, Sirius got up, and followed Loki, curious. Regulus walked over and looked into the room; it was a large walk-in closet full of male and female clothes, armor, capes, and boots.
"Blimey, Reigny, your closet is bigger than the Gryffindor common room," Sirius said, looking around. Regulus walked back into the other room and sat in one of the oversized chairs; that's when he noticed he didn't see Harry anywhere. He was about to call out to Sirius when Loki emerged from the closest, carrying an outfit of some kind and looking around with a frown.
"Where is Harry?" Loki asked, and Sirius appeared behind him, looking around the room.
"I'm here," Harry said, stepping out of a different room. "You have a library in your bedroom? Hermione would be jealous."
"Indeed," Loki said, "Now, come, put this on; you may go into the washroom to change. I'll have to find you a chestplate; the helmet is in the cabinet."
Loki pointed to a large glass cabinet; one side of the cabinet hung a couple of swords, both gold, with green and black gem-encrusted handles; under the swords hung five shields, all identical, gold, with Loki's symbol carved in the middle, the other side of the cabinet had glass shelves; the bottom two shelves displayed rolls of daggers of various styles and sizes, the top two shelves were helmets of multiple styles. The top shelf had a helmet that was more of a crown than a helmet and looked like the one Harry had in his bedroom; on the other end sat one similar but with taller horns, and had two pieces that came down to cover the sides of the face. Sitting between those two was one like the one Loki wears, but the horns were more upward than outward; underneath that shelf were two more helmets; one was a woman's helmet; it framed the face, and the horns were more toward the side and curled inward differently than the rest. The last helmet was like the one Regulus had seen Loki wear, but the horns were different; they pointed out towards the sides, curled towards the top, and had a fake ponytail hanging out of the back.
"This looks like the armor you made me for the tournament, but green," Harry said, taking the outfit from Loki's arms. He pointed him towards the washroom. Harry entered and closed the door.
"I'm not wearing any armor, Reigny," Sirius said as Loki returned to the closet. "How am I supposed to fight in all that heavy metal?"
"I will not force you to wear the chestplate." Loki appeared, holding another outfit in his arms. "But you are putting on the rest; the leather will protect you more than those Midgardian clothes." Loki walked over and handed Regulus the clothes. "If you want privacy to change, you may step into my library to do so; just lay your clothes on the table; you can change back once we have killed Malekith."
Regulus took the offered armor and went into the library, which was also a large room with roles and roles of bookcases, all overflowing with various size books; there was a round table sitting in the middle of the room that had two chairs on either side, Regulus stepped over to it, and sat the armor on the table, then took off the muggle cloths, and began to put the armor on. It took him ten minutes to get into the complicated thing; it didn't fit right, despite Regulus not being back to his old weight, the waist, legs, and arms were a little tight due to Loki's naturally thin frame, but because he was taller than Regulus, the legs and arms were too long, so Regulus took his wand out of the jeans pocket and returned to the bedroom to show Loki that he wouldn't be able to wear it.
"Yours doesn't fit right either, eh?" Harry asked. He was now having a chestplate put on him by Loki, and his armor fit him perfectly, "Mum resized mine with magic, then put armbands on me." Harry lifted an arm, showing Regulus a metal armband.
Loki barely glanced at Regulus as he sent green magic surrounding him, and the armor resized itself to fit Regulus perfectly. Loki finishes with Harry's armor, picks up two metal armbands, and tells Regulus to hold his arms out. Loki put one on each arm, then turned around and picked up a chest plate; this one had a long green cape hooked to the back of it. Loki stepped closer to Regulus, slipped it over his head, and began fastening it.
"Where is Sirius?" Regulus asked.
"Changing," Loki answered as he fastened the last buckle and stepped back; he sent magic at Regulus' feet, and a pair of leather boots appeared on them. "You know, you look like an Asgardian dressed like that."
"Is that a compliment?" Regulus asked.
"Yes," Loki replied, "Say whatever bad thing you want about your family, but they have good genetics; you and Sirius are gorgeous."
"It's a good thing Harry takes after his father's side of the family," Regulus smirked at Loki.
"Ha ha, very funny," Loki replied, looking amused; at that moment, Sirius stepped out of the washroom, dressed in armor similar to what Loki usually wears, except with fewer layers, buckles, and no metal pieces. The armor was all leather: a black leather top with green and gold term, black leather trousers, a leather jacket that came to Sirius' ankles, tall boots, and leather pieces fastened over the shoes.
"I like this one," Sirius said, looking down at himself, as Loki sent magic at Sirius to make the armor fit him perfectly.
"I do, too," Loki said, his eyes traveling up and down Sirius' body, and going by the look on his face, Loki liked what he was seeing.
"It's not as heavy as the one I wore last time." Sirius continued, unaware that Loki was checking him out, or perhaps he was just used to it.
"Good, I am glad," Loki said, finally taking his eyes off Sirius. he went over to the cabinet, opened it, and took out a helmet. "Harry, come here."
Harry walked over, and Loki sat the helmet on Harry's head and magically resized it to fit.
"Where is your dagger?" Loki asked, turning back to the cabinet and picking up a shield.
"I'm not sure, last I saw it, I stabbed Algrim with it." Harry said, "The creature that was with Malekith, he went after grandmother, and I was trying to protect her, Algrim pulled it out though, I think he threw it. I'm sorry I lost it."
"Do not apologize, sweetheart; you were protecting family," Loki answered; he turned back to the cabinet, picked up a dagger, and then turned back to Harry. "If he pulled it out, it is probably lying somewhere in the healing rooms; we'll find it later; for now, use this one."
Loki handed Harry the dagger and the shield, then motioned for Regulus to come over. Loki picked up the helmet similar to the one he wears and sat it on Regulus' head while he magically resized it.
"I know it's a bit heavy, but it'll will protect your head. You have your wand, but would you like a weapon?" Loki asked. Regulus shook his head. He wouldn't know how to fight with one anyway. Loki nodded and handed him a shield, which Regulus did accept.
"I am not wearing a helmet either, Reigny," Sirius said. Loki rolled his eyes, picked up the helmet similar to Harry's, put it on Sirius, and then magically resized it to fit him.
"You have no choice," Loki told him, turning around and picking up the shield. "Take this." He held it out to Sirius, who took it without complaint, which must have satisfied Loki because he leaned over and kissed Sirius before turning back to the cabinet and closing it.
"Are you going to change, Reigny?" Sirius asked. Loki winked at him as his magic surrounded Loki, turning his clothes into armor while his helmet appeared on his head. At that moment, there was a knock at the open door, and Thor entered, wearing his armor and a weird helmet with feather shapes instead of horns sticking up at the sizes.
"I just spoke to Heimdal; Malekith is on his way," Thor told Loki, "He'll be here in about thirty to forty minutes; Father wants us all in the throne room to make a battle plan."
"Well, then, " Loki replied, grinning, "let's go kill Malekith."
AN: I put in a couple of I guess you can call easter eggs, the helmets in Loki's cabinet are all either from the movies or comics, the one that looks like Harry's is from the Agent of Asgard series, and the recent comics, the one Loki gives Sirius to wear is the one Loki wears in Thor Ragnarok, the one he gives Regulus to wear is from Thor, the two on the bottom, are Lady Loki's helmet from the comics, and the one with the ponytail is the helmet Loki originally wore, from the classic comic, I know I probably did a horrible job describing them.
Harry's army is the one Loki wears in the Agent of Asgard comic series, just without the jacket, and Loki put a chest-plate on him, Regulus is wearing the armor Loki wore in Thor, and Sirius is wearing what Loki wore in Thor The Dark World, with the helmet from Thor Ragnarok, again, I probably did a bad job describing them, oh, and the armor from Thor is also what Loki is wearing in the portrait above the fireplace, Loki himself is still wearing what he did in The Avengers.
I have two more battles I want to write in this part, but I don't know if it'll bein one chapter or two, likely two, hopefully I can write everything the way imagine in my head.
