Chapter 71 Legend of Everfree 6

In the morning Rai was walking around and helping prepare some tables for later on.
"Hey Rai." Gloriosa appeared surprising him.
"How did you get here?" He said.
"Oh I know myself around, so need anything as I can-"
"No it's fine." He stops her surprising Gloriosa. "Just take some time to relax."
"Are you sure?" She asked.
"Of course, we all need a time to just relax, I can do it." He smiles.
"Oh, okay." She said and backs away.
Rainbow dash was slowly walking down the dock and looks at Rarity who's sewing.
"Uh, you gonna give us a hand here, Rarity?" She said.
"Oh, I'd love to, but I really need to get the stitching on this poncho done if it's going to make it into the camp fashion show. Though at the pace you two are moving, I don't know that the runway will ever be finished." Rarity said.
"It's the dock." Sonata whispers.
"Why's she speaking like Fluttershy?" Pinkie looks at Sonata.
"She doesn't want to make a big sound attack." Applejack said.
"Oh." Pinkie said.
"Also, this dock is our gift to the camp, and it's gonna get finished. That is, if Rainbow Dash would hurry up and bring me more wood." Applejack said.
Oh, I can't go any faster! I don't want to end up in the woods again." Rainbow said.
"Don't be silly." Applejack said.
"Really?" She does her tapping.
Applejack sighs. "I know I said we should try to forget all about this new magic business, but I can't. What if I hammer the board into splinters?"
Gizmo watches and he was worried.
"Aw, shoot! I'm all out of nails." Applejack said.
"Oh, here you go!" Pinkie tosses the container.
"Pinkie no!" They said.
Gizmo covers his face and Rarity summons a diamond shield knocking two of the girls down but nothing happened when the nails fell down.
"What? Ohhh, did you think the nails would explode like the sprinkles? Wow! Glad that didn't happen, huh?" Pinkie said.
"Sorry, girls. I didn't mean to. I don't know how to control this." Rarity said.
"It's okay." Sonata said.
"Oh, none of us do." Fluttershy said.
Sunset came. "Which is why we shouldn't pretend this isn't happening."
"Do you have them now, too?" Rainbow Dash said.
"It started last night. When I touch people, it's like I can feel what they're feeling and see their memories." Sunset said.
"Oooh, fancy! Try me, try me!" Pinkie said.
Sunset does it and sees a candyland and Pinkie was being happy.
"That explains so much." Sunset said.
"Yup." Pinkie said.
"Girls, we can't just brush these powers aside because it doesn't seem like the ideal time to get them. What if it turns out that they could actually make things better?"

Rai smiles at the scene and the dock was finished.
"Okay, that was pretty awesome!" Rainbow Dash said.
"And look what you managed to accomplish!" Sunset said.
"Please, please, please can we do a run-through for the fashion show on it right this minute?" Rarity said.
"Thought you weren't finished with the stitching on your poncho." Applejack said.
"I am now!" Rarity said.
"Get started without me. I've gotta go find Twilight. Seeing what we've been able to do here might make her embrace the new magic, too! Uh, not that she has any." Sunset goes off.
While Sunset went to find Twilight she passed by Gloriosa's office.
"I just wish you didn't tell them that ridiculous story!" Gloriosa snaps.
"This is all too much for you! You have to let it go!" Timber said.
Sunset made her way towards the door.
"I knew it. He is trying to get her to sell the camp." Sunset said then door swings open hitting her while Gloriosa and Timber stormed out.
Rai came and saw her. "Hey are you okay."
"No time. Follow me." Sunset drags Rai with her.
They went to the forest and saw Timber running ahead.
"He is definitely up to something." Sunset said.
They looked around and saw a faint glow coming from the rock quarry with a figure walking into it.
"Okay, something is up." Rai holds the stone he found.
Sunset then texts Twilight.
Twilight was at her tent and she got the text.
"It's Sunset. She says to meet her by the rock quarry." Twilight said.
"I thought we weren't supposed to hike out that far." Spike reminds.
"She says it's important." Twilight said and goes off.
Rai saw Twilight come and he pulls her in.
"What's going on down there?" She got surprised.
"I think it's Gaea Everfree. Or rather, someone who wants us to think she's back. C'mon!" She leads them through the gap in the boulders.
They entered the cave and saw many stones glowing.
"This place..." Rai looks around and can feel the magic.
"This place is beautiful." Twilight said.
"There's Equestrian magic here. I can... I can feel it." Sunset said.
"Wait. I thought Timber was just faking there was a magical nature creature. Are you saying it's real?" Spike was confused.
"Timber? What does he have to do with any of this?" Twilight said.
"Nothing. It's all me." Gloriosa came in.
"Gloriosa!" Rai said.
"Gloriosa? But... Timber. I was sure he was the one trying to make it seem like Gaea Everfree was back. It was you who was trying to scare everyone away?" Sunset was confused.
"I would never try to scare anyone away from Camp Everfree." Gloriosa said.
Sunset grabbed her arm and saw visions of her talking to Filthy Rich about the camp being closed, to her finding the stones and using it's powers.
"Timber wasn't talking about letting go of the camp. He was talking about you letting go of the magical geodes! All those things you were doing to make this week the best week ever. Every time you used magic to do them, you caused another problem somewhere else! Timber was... covering for you!" Sunset said.
"How do you know what I was doing with the geodes? How do you know about the magic?" Gloriosa said.
"I can see things. Feel things. Because I have magic, too. And so does she. And so do our friends." Sunset said.
"Wait, you tried to attack me!" Rai said.
"Well I dropped one of the geodes, you just found it by accident." Gloriosa said.
Rai holds his tightly to his chest.
"Gloriosa, Timber wasn't wrong. Maybe you should stop using magic. Too much of it can be dangerous if you can't control it." Twilight said.
"Oh, I got this. And I'm going to use it to save my camp. I just need more power!" She grabs the last ones.
"No!" They screamed.
They got tangled in vines and she transforms into Gaea Gloriosa.
"Sorry, you three. I know what I need to do. But I feel like we're not on the same page. So..." She takes a stone from Rai and left them while sealing the place.
"Gloriosa no!" They screamed.
At camp
Everyone was waiting for the other three.
"Where are Twilight and Sunset? They're missing our dress rehearsal." Rarity said.
"Uh-uh. Rai too." Pinkie said.
"I suppose we can get started without them. Whenever you're ready!" Rarity said.T
The techno music started.
"Hmm. Told you you'd like it." Rarity said.
"It's alright... I guess. I do get to keep it after camp though, right?" Applejack asked.
But then the music stopped.
"Huh, why did the music stop?" Rarity said. "Oh my goodness!"
Gaea Gloriosa came down surprising them.
"Attention, campers!" She said.
"It's Gaea Everfree!" Trixie said.
"She's real!" Flash said.
"Aah! We're doomed!" Bulk said.
"Gloriosa?! What are you doing?!" Timber said.
"That's Gloriosa? Am I goin' crazy, or are her feet not touchin' the ground?" Applejack said.
"I have an announcement to make! Filthy Rich wants this to be the last session of Camp Everfree. But don't worry, I've got this!" Gloriosa said.
She makes a giant dome that destroys the dock.
"Oh, come on! We literally just finished building that!" Rainbow Dash said.
(Insert We will stand for Everfree here)
I have waited for the day
To send this greedy wolf away
Now the magic is my salvation
Gather close in my protection

Behold the beauty of nature in all its glory
No need to fear the vultures at the door

"Oh, why do these kinds of things always happen to us?" Fluttershy said.
"Growl, Haineko."
A metal dust came hitting Gaea making her grunt and the girls saw Rangiku and Nemu.
"Hey there." Rangiku waves.
The girls got stunned seeing the size of her chest.
"Okay, that's not fair." Rainbow Dash said.
"Yup." Sonata said.
Starrk appeared with Ulquiorra and Lilynette.
"Hey, it's those guys." Rangiku said and Nemu nodded.
"Looks like this is the threat." Ulquiorra said as he can feel her intense power.
"Well let's help them guys." Rainbow Dash said.
Gloriosa growls and attacks them making the group avoid and fight her back.
At the quarry
"We're stuck." Twilight said.
"Actually, she thought she took my geode but..." Rai takes his out as the cards he had cuts them free.
"She took a fake. Nice going Rai." Sunset said.
They looked at the rock and Sunset looks at Twilight. "Twilight, you gotta move it."
"I don't know, if I can." She said.
"I trust you." Rai said.
Twilight looks at him and takes a deep breath, she raises as magic appears, area above her head glows as she managed to push the rock back.
"Let's go." Rai said and they went out.
With the others.
Gloriosa managed to knock the girls back with Ulquiorra shooting ceros but she blocks it with her vines.
She's strong, she can be even stronger than lord Aizen. Ulquiorra said.
"Why are you all stopping me?! I'm trying to save the camp!" Gloriosa yelled.
"Gloriosa, let's just think about this for a moment, shall we? I mean, I think Camp Everfree is absolutely delightful, but I just don't know that I'm quite ready to give up my weekly trips to the spa."
"To the spa...? To the spa?!" Gloriosa sends branches to attack.
Nemu came and breaks them. "Sorry, I cannot let you harm them."
"Oh yeah!" She said.
"Please, Gloriosa this isn't the way!" Timber said.
"Oh don't worry, I got it." She grins.
Vines went to Timber but Starrk blasted them and he appears behind her before shooting her back with a cero.
She recovered and shoots many vines attacking Starrk as he grunted.
Rai came inside and uses his zanpaku to push the branches off as the girls came in.
"Rai! Sunset! Twilight!" The girls said.
"Please, Gloriosa! What you're doing is crazy! You have to listen to me!" Timber said.
"That isn't her anymore." Rai said.
"It's someone who's been consumed by Equestrian magic." Sunset said.
"Whoever you are, you have to let my sister go! Please, Gloriosa, come back! I need you! Gloriosa!" Timber said.
The plants went out of control as Rarity made a diamond barrier with Lilynette cutting many of the plants.
Rangiku used her zanpakuto to make her own barrier to cut them.
"I can't keep this for long." Rarity struggles.
Watching them from a distance was BG9.
"So this is the power of the magic here." He studies Gloriosa.
He can tell this woman is so powerful that she can defeat even some of the strongest.
"Could she even be as strong as lord Yhwach?"
He saw the planet life getting crazy nearby so he retreated with the info he got for now.
Sunset looks at Twilight. "It's up to you. You can use your magic to pull the brambles apart!"
"No. There's too many of them. It would take too much magic. I can't!" Twilight was scared.
"It's the only way! You have to embrace the magic inside you!" Sunset said.
"What if she takes over? What if instead of saving everyone, I turn into Midnight Sparkle and only make things worse?" Twilight said.
"Twilight, we all have something we're afraid off, it's to face it that matters." Rai said.
"That's right! We won't let it happen." Sunset said.
The shield is starting to crack.
"Come on, Twilight! You have to be stronger than she is!" Sunset said.
Twilight tries it and she saw Midnight laughing.
"You will never control me! I will always be a part of you!" She said.
"No!" Twilight said.
A hand goes to her shoulder as Rai was at her side. "Twilight we are here for you."
The others came too and Sunset said: "Twilight, listen to me! You are in charge!"
"You are a light, darling! A force for good!" Rarity said.
"Yeah! You can kick the darkness's butt!" Rainbow Dash said.
"We're here for you, Twilight!" Pinkie said.
"Always!" Sonata said.
"And we'll be here, no matter what!" Applejack said.
"We believe in you!" Fluttershy said.
"You... are not... Midnight Sparkle!" Sunset said.
"No! I... am... Twilight Sparkle! And the magic I carry inside me is... the Magic of Friendship!" Twilight yelled.
She broke free and destroys the dome.
"No!" Gaea said.
Rai then uses a card to cut the geodes off.
"Sorry, but the one you had was a fake." Rai holds his.
The fake breaks as the girls got their geode thanks to Twilight using her powers.
"Let's do it guys!" Twilight said.
They used the geodes together as they're outfits changed each getting a unique one with wings.
Sonata's was blue and purple with red crystal wings.
Rai got one too too, as he gets a blue long coat, red shirt, green pants, black arm bands and gold shoulder pads with each having a different poker symbol of each rider, he also got wings and a horn.
They used they're new powers to destroy the dome stopping the magic.
Gloriosa was down on the ground and Timber goes to check on her. "Gloriosa?"
She wakes up. "Timber."
"Well that was amazing." Rangiku said.
"You did it! Whoa. Nice bling." Spike said.
"What... What are these?" Applejack said.
"I'm not sure. But clearly we have some kind of connection to them." Sunset said.
"I almost don't care what they are. They are gorgeous! And will totally go with the other collection I was working on for the camp fashion show! That's probably cancelled, isn't it?" Rarity said.
Everyone cleaning it up.
"I am so sorry. I only wanted this to be the best week Camp Everfree has ever had, and instead I've made it the worst. Maybe it's for the best that I'm losing the camp to Filthy Rich." Gloriosa said.
"No. It's not. This camp has meant so much to so many people, my sister and me included." Celestia said.
"Why do you think we wanted our students to come here?" Luna said.
"We can't let Filthy Rich take this place away! If camp meant so much to you two, maybe it meant as much to the other campers who came here in years past." Twilight said.
Starrk sighs and gives a case of money. "Here." He passes it to
"How did you get that cash?" Rai was shocked.
"His job pays well." Lilynette said.
"Oh, thank you." Gloriosa said.
"It's alright." He waves it off and goes away.
Gloriosa smiles at him.
"What's with that look?" Timber asked.
"Is he single?" Gloriosa asked making them gasp.
"She loves him!" Pinkie said.
"Well, yeah." Rai said.
"Oh good." Gloriosa said.
"Well she found love." Celestia chuckles.
Rai frowns. "Hey girls."
The mane 8 looked at him. "I have something to tell you."
Sunset nodded. "Oh. It's time."
"Huh?" The girls said.
They went to a secluded place and he sighs. "Okay, I have something to say, I can't pick just one girl so..." He takes out eight feathers.
He gives them each one a feather. "So, can you be mine."
They gasped before they smiled and hugged him. "Of course Rai!"
"It was my idea even." Sunset chuckles.
"Thanks Sunset." Twilight said.
Rai chuckles. "Well, this is part of my life now."
Note: Everfree movie is done, Rai got his own form, also those that think his powers will work with the Rouse Cards, no, if he tried it would have no effect, as the powers will not work with the rouse cards as they are tied to normal playing cards, it's a poker theme power, he needs other cards not the rouse ones.
