Chapter 84 The Last Unicorn

Rai was walking down the road alone and he looks up to the sky.
"It's a wonderful day today." He smiles.
He wonders what his friends are doing and he has so many things to do. But then he stops and senses something magical in the distance.
"Well better check it."
Rai then heads to where he sense the magical energy.
He arrives at a forest. "Now where is..." He got stunned.
Rai saw a unicorn come out as it was clearly a female. He stares at her in awe as she was so beautiful and majestic.
Rai then goes up to her. "Hey there girl."
"You are no ordinary mortal. Who are you?" She questions.
He got surprised. "I'm Rai."
"Rai." She said.
"Are you alone?" He asked.
"Yes. I am searching for the rest of my kind." She said.
"I see, your not from around here." He understood.
"Yes." She nods. "My kind were taken by the Red Bull and now I am the last."
He frowns. "What does he look like?"
"I do not know much other than his horns are the horns of a wild ox," She said.
"Well let's me take you somewhere safe." he said.
"Where?" She asks.
"Home, I have friends that are magical." He said.
"Really?" She asks interested.
He nodded but then a red glow comes towards them surprising the two.
"What is that?!" The unicorn exclaims in surprise.
"I don't know, isn't something you know?" He asked.
She shakes her head in confusion.
"Is it the Red Bull?" She wonders.
It comes making them step back but they landed in a water before vanishing, they came out on the other side and the unicorn looks around.
"What?"
"Hey what happened." She look and got surprised.
She saw Rai looking exactly like his Alicorn counterpart.
"Rai?" She questions.
"What? Is there something on my face?" He looks at the water and screams. "Pony face!"
"You transformed into a Unicorn like me but with wings. How?" She questions.
"Well Alicorn and I think we're in Equestria." He said.
"Equestria?" She questions.
"A world filled with... Ponies." He smiles a little nervous.
"Ponies?" She questions.
"Yeah, let me show you." He leads her forward.
They walk until they start reaching a town. The two saw many ponies walking around as they were enjoying they're lives.
"So many of them. And some of them are unicorns like me but different." The Unicorn said.
"Yeah, the people of Equestria are pretty magical." He said.
He trips a bit bumping into her as they're heads were touching.
"Are you ok?" She asks.
"I'm fine." He smiles at her.
"Good." She said.
"I never got your name?" He said.
"I do not have one." She said.
He thinks of one for her.
"How about Amalthea?" He said.
"Amalthea. I like it." The newly named Amalthea said.
He smiles. "Well looks like we're more alike in this form."
"Yes. I am surprise you can walk in this form so well." Amalthea said.
"It's not easy." He trips a bit.
"It might take time for you to get use to it." Amalthea said.
"Well yeah, but wanna run together?" He smiles.
"Sure. Try to keep up." Amalthea teases him.
The two ran forward and went to the woods with some noticing but they went back to they're lives.
Rai follows her and flies up a bit. "Whoa!"
Amalthea's eyes widen slightly at this.
"I guess... I can fly with my wings." He said.
"I wonder what it is like to fly." Amalthea said.
"Well Pegasus and alicorns are the ones that can." He said.
"As well as the birds and butterflies." Amalthea said.
"I meant ponies but okay."
The two continue their race.
They then went down a hill and fell together as he landed on top of her.
"Oops." He smiles.
"Careful now." She said.
They looked at each other and she saw how close they are.
"We should get up now." She said.
He got off and they went forward, they saw the castle and went inside, Rai saw Pony Twilight looking at books and smiles.
"Do you know her?" Amalthea asks.
"Yes, she's a friend." He said.
Twilight saw him. "Rai?"
"What are you doing here?" She questions before noticing Amalthea. "And who is she?"
"Oh this is Amalthea, and i'm the Rai from the other world." He said.
"Wait really? How are you here? Did you use the portal?" Twilight questions.
"I found one outside." He said.
"Huh, I didn't expect that. I'll gotta find more about that." She said.
"But can you help us get back home? Sunset said theres ones here." He said.
"Yeah I can." Twilight said.
"Oh good." He said.
"I should get the others just in case." Twilight said.
"Why?" Rai got confused.
"Mostly so they don't mistake you for the Rai here." Twilight said.
"Ok." He said.
"Are your friends nice?" Amalthea asks.
"Of course they are." Twilight said.
"Also my friends are basically the same in personality just human." Rai told her.
Amalthea nods in understanding.
Then the girls came and they got surprised to see Rai.
"Rai?" Rainbow Dash questions in surprise.
"I'm yes and no." He said.
"He is the Rai from the Human World." Twilight explains.
"Yeah nice to meet you all." He said.
"It's nice to meet you too." Applejack said.
He nodded.
"Oh who is this?" Rarity asks about Amalthea. "I love her coat."
"This is Amalthea." Rai said.
"T-that's a pretty name." Fluttershy said.
She nodded. "Thank you."
Pinkie Pie then gasps.
"I need to do the welcome song!" Pinkie Pie said.
"Here it comes." Rai knew it.
Pinkie Pie then starts singing.

Amalthea blinks since that was strange.
"That was Pinkie Pie's Welcome song. She does it for everyone new to Ponyvile." Rainbow Dash said.
"Yeah our Pinkie has something similar." Rai said.
"I see." Amalthea said.
"So why did you both come?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"We were sent here by accident and I came to check the portal that Twilight uses to go back." Rai said.
"By accident? Hopefully its not by a baddie." Pinkie Pie said.
"We saw a red glow. But I don't know who that was." Rai said.
"A red glow." Twilight repeats with a questioning look on her face.
"It might be a enemy of her." Rai looks at his friend.
"The Red Bull." Amalthea mutters.
"The Red Bull?" Applejack questions.
"A bad guy that's after her." Rai said.
"As well as any Unicorns it can find. It has captured the other Unicorns of my world making me the last." Amalthea said.
They got surprised to hear that.
"That is not good. Is it possible it might come here?" Twilight questions.
"I do not know." Amalthea said.
"But that's why we should head back and tell the others. You girls can tell the other me... Hey wait where is he?!" Rai said.
The girls look at each other in surprise.
"I think he went to see Celestia." Twilight said.
"Celestia?" Amalthea questions.
"The former ruler." She said.
"Former?" Amalthea questions.
"Twilight is now the current one." Rarity said.
"Oh my apologies." Amalthea said bowing a bit.
"It's alright." Twilight waves it off.
"Should we go see them real quick?" Applejack suggests.
"I think they're busy, but it's better if I send Rai and his friend back home." Twilight said.
Rai nods in agreement.
They went to the portal and Rai said: "Well see ya next time."
"See ya Other Rai and Amalthea." Rainbow Dash said as the others also said their goodbyes.
They nodded before they went through the portal, Rai came out of the statue and he was human again.
Rai looks at his human body with a smile.
He saw Amalthea come out and he petted her neck.
"That was an interesting world." She said.
"Yes." He said.
She then glows surprising Rai. Her shape then starts changing from unicorn to a human shape shocking him.
"Wow. Amalthea?" He said.
Amalthea has transformed into a human woman with white hair and a white dress.
"Wow your..." He blushes.
"W-what is this? What has happened to me?" Amalthea questions fearfully.
"Calm down. It must be the Equestria magic trying to protect you." He said.
"I wish it wasn't. I feel this body dying all around me." She said scared causing Rai to hug her.
"Calm down, your going to be fine." He said.
"Rai you don't understand. Unicorns are ageless beings meaning we don't die from old age." She said.
"It doesn't mean becoming human means you can't have that. I kinda get scared being ageless." He frowns.
"R-really?" She questions.
He pulls down on his shirt and she saw the hogyoku.
"There is a strange power in that." Amalthea said.
"Yes, you see I was becoming something called an undead, a immortal creature and I would have seen my friends turn to dust if it wasn't for this giving what I desire the most becoming human." He said.
"Human?" Amalthea questions.
"I don't want to become immortal, since i'm scared of losing my friends through the passage of time." He said.
Amalthea gains a thoughtful look at that.
"A friend is something nobody can replace." He said.
She nods in agreement at that.
"I'll always be by your side. So let me show you my home." He said.
"Thank you Rai." Amalthea said gratefully.
The two went forward and Rai has a bad feeling something bad will happen. They gotta be careful.
Note: Heres a new mini arc being based on the movie The Last Unicorn, it's a beautiful movie and I like the art style that puts many recent movies to shame, I picked Rai to deal with that since it fits with the MLP theme.
