"Why am I getting this report?" Tommy asked as Billy gave him a look and Tommy let out a sigh. He knew that he was getting this report because Hayley was still a threat to his family, it is the only reason Billy would break the rules like this. "This could get you in a lot of trouble."

"I know, but we all need to know their assessment to keep Ollie and your other children safe. We also need to make sure that it stops here and that she's not given a chance to finish what she started," Billy whispered and Tommy let out a sigh. He grabbed his glasses and settled in to read what was going on with Hayley, feeling like he was betraying her, but also like this might be the only thing that saved her.

Primary diagnosis: antisocial personality disorder. Secondary diagnosis: erotomanic delusional disorder. Ms. Ziktor presents after a prolonged period of psychosis with an approximate onset of 2001. She is highly committed to her cause, going as far as faking her own death for the past nine years. The object of her erotomanic delusions is Thomas Oliver and she has the goal of removing Kimberly Oliver from his life as soon as possible.

Tommy read through page after page of notes and suggested treatment plans. It tore at him that much of the time he had known Hayley she had already slipped into this delusion about their relationship. Could he have helped her if he had noticed? Could they have changed the trajectory of this if he had just noticed that she was obsessive and not friendly? He had never really managed to stay friends with an ex the way he had with her. Kim had broken him and he had broken Katherine and while both of them were in his life now- it had taken years for them to heal and own up to their parts of tearing the relationship apart. It had taken Hayley moments to accept that he did not want to date her anymore and move back to being his friend. He had always written it off as her feeling the same, but this report indicated that that was not the truth.

"They're suggesting aggressive inpatient treatment before they'll even consider making a statement on if she was aware of what she was doing," Billy said as Tommy let out a groan. He had hoped they would be willing to place her in a prison, not a psychiatric facility. He was not sure a prison could hold her, but he knew a hospital couldn't. "The good thing is that she could recover from this and go back to being the woman we all know."

"She nearly killed my wife and kidnapped two of my children. I need them to be safe Billy and none of their suggestions make me feel like they'll be safe," Tommy said as they walked into Billy's office and he closed the door. "She never mentioned anything about Power Rangers."

"I noticed that too. You can't go in there and tell them that they are wrong about her history, because then they'll know…" Billy trailed off as Tommy nodded. It was one thing for Billy to read her charts, it was another thing for him to know about this. "They are going to want to eventually talk to you and others to see how it presented with you. If you brought up the Power Rangers stint then, it would be appropriate and would shed light on things."

"But that puts them in a different kind of danger," Tommy whispered as he stared out the window and tried to figure out how to best protect his family. Normally this was something that he would tag team with Kimberly, but they all agreed that keeping this kind of stress away from her was good for now. He knew that she would not like it when she found out, but it was more important that she heal. He could deal with a night or two on the couch if it came down to it. "Damn it. It's going to be bad when she breaks out, isn't it?"

"We can hope that the courts will take care of it," Billy said as Tommy stared him down and he let out a sigh. "I know. It doesn't make me feel good either."

"She still on track to go home for a bit early next week?" Tommy asked and Billy nodded. Tommy let out a sigh of relief as he wiped his eyes and he tried to keep it together. He needed his family under one roof and he needed his wife well, but just getting her home was one step closer to normal. "Is there anything that I need to change around the house? Look out for?"

"Your house is great for her recovery. She's got pretty much everything she needs on one level and your workout area will be good for working on the PT she's still going to need," Billy said as he grabbed Tommy's arm and turned to face him. "It's like it's always been Tommy, you'll help each other heal from this. She'll be back to herself in no time."

"What if she's not? What if this really changes everything?" Tommy muttered and he just shook his head. "Sorry, I'm just spread really thin right now."

"She's not going to stop loving you, Tommy. You kept her alive, you kept her stable while she was in a coma. That woman loves you and that is still obvious," Billy gave him a pep talk as Tommy looked away from him. He hadn't seen Tommy this unsure and scared in decades, probably since the beam accident if he was honest with himself. "Hey- if you need a break we can figure something out. None of them need you burned out."

"The only break I want is a week alone with Kim, but that's not going to happen any time soon. I'll be fine," Tommy said as Billy gave him a hard look. "I don't feel like any of you can keep them safe, okay? I know you can, but…"

"You can't control things if you're not there. You can't make sure that everything is done the way that you do them even if you trust us. And you've kept them safe for all these years doing things the way that you'd do them. You've had to trust us a lot over the last few weeks to do surveillance, to keep an eye on Kim when you're at home, to help Ollie work through this. You are trusting us Tommy, even if it is pushing up against every bit of control that you have. Just stay with it for a bit longer," Billy encouraged. Tommy let down his guard as his facade fell and Billy threw his arms around him as Tommy crumbled. Tommy was the strong one. Tommy was the one that they all went to when they had problems in their lives. Tommy was the one that protected their families and his own with ease. And Billy, for the first time, realized how much that wasn't just Tommy. It has always been Tommy and Kimberly.

"Did the plan work?" Hayley asked as her friend walked into the room and sat down at the edge of the bed. She knew that when she came after Kimberly that there was a very good chance that she would find herself stuck at the hospital. Tommy had moved faster than she anticipated to protect Kimberly while he went after Opal and Ollie and she had barely been able to deliver the initial dose that was needed.

"They've run tests and they see an anomaly, but don't know what it is. I've been slipping in to give small doses when Tommy is gone and she needs additional pain medicine. It hasn't set in though. Our best chance to truly disrupt their lives will be the second surgery," the woman responded as she looked at the restraints. "I want to help you get out of here, but I don't know if it is…"

"I have a plan for that as well. I need you to focus on getting into that surgery, Amber. You have to get on Billy's rotation," Hayley instructed and Amber nodded as she gave her a feeble smile. "This is the best way to get back at Tommy, by destroying everything that he holds dear."

"I know, but I feel like there are too many factors that we may have ignored. We weren't expecting the constant security and him barely leaving the hospital- that changes things," Amber muttered and Hayley just shrugged. It might change things, but their plan would work so long as Amber stayed hidden and stayed in the good graces of Dr. Cranston. It was the key in Tommy not stopping them until it was too late and he had lost too much. Then, and only then, could they reveal what their plan had been all along.

AN: I am aware of how unrealistic it is for a doctor to hand over this kind of information, but that is why this is fanfiction and not real life.
