Yomiyama.
Mamoru Ogata invited Mizuki Sakakibara to his birthday party, both he and his parents were in Yomiyama.
Mamoru Ogata was also in Yomiyama along with his twin brother Tohru.
Tohru was quiet and withdrawn, and he was designated as a non-existent person in the year 2022-2023.
However, in March, he was allowed to be contacted due to the end of the class.
Tohru was friends with Nao Sekine, or at least he thought he was.
The Ogata twins' parents were divorced Ryuutarou Ogata lived in Yomiyama with Tohru and Mamoru lived with his mother Asami Katamine, stepfather Hiroyasu Katamine and half-sister Akari Katamine.
Mamoru: No kidding, Sakaki are you in Yomiyama too?
Mizuki: It went like this.
Mamoru: That's good, I already thought you wouldn't come to my birthday.
I wanted to invite Touyama-san but Tohru insisted that our birthday be held in Yomiyama.
Mizuki: So it will just be Tohru, you, and me?
Mamoru: No, Tohru will invite his friend.
Mizuki: Okay..
Mamoru: I was a little surprised, but on the other hand I'm glad that Tohru finally found some friends.
Toward the end of the event, Mamoru suggested occult games, at first they were silly games, however Mamoru decided to go a step further.
Mizuki: And this was supposed to be the ritual?
Tohru: It was pretty scary...
I heard a knock.
Mamoru: Oh, sorry it's me.
Nao, on the other hand, lost consciousness momentarily.
Mamoru: Hey, Sekine-san!
Nao woke up after a while, however, she was altered, as if something had taken control of her.
Nao: I'm completely fine, It was pretty fun, however..
I have to leave for a while.
Nao left for a while then returned, everyone was still sitting in the attic.
Suddenly Nao drove a nail into Mizuki's head.
Mamoru: MIZUKI!
Who have you brought in, Tohru!
Tohru: I.. I.. I don't know!
Mamoru was shocked, Nao approached Tohru and, being in step, did the same thing she did to Mizuki.
Nao turned toward Mamoru with the intention of doing the same.
Mamoru, however, woke up, And knocked Nao to the ground, snatched the hammer from her hands and killed her.
He then called his father and an ambulance.
Mei and Kouichi were waiting outside the operating room.
Old doctor Kaito Muneyoshi operated on the boy, however, Mizuki did not survive, Tohru died on the spot.
Kaito: I am so sorry, Mrs. Sakakibara, Mr. Sakakibara...
your son is dead.
Mei and Kouichi were in despair, Mei thought she would not lose anyone close to her again, however, it turned out that again, like 25 again a loved one would end up in the morgue at Yomiyama hospital.
Mei has not spoken to Kouichi since Mizuki died, she went to the store and then drowned her sorrows in alcohol.
Mei rarely drank, but this time she drank herself into unconsciousness.
Kouichi tried to come to terms with this however, he was most afraid to tell Naomi and Misaki that their brother would return from Yomiyama dead.
The next day came.
Mei had a huge hangover and could barely get up from the floor.
Yukiyo: What happened, Mei? You got drunk, And you slept 12 hours.
Mei didn't say anything, she shakily walked out of the house where she used to live.
Kouichi walked around Yomiyama to vent his sadness, a moment later Mei called breaking the silence.
Mei: I want to see Mizuki one more time.
Mei and Kouichi went to Yomiyama Hospital and drove down to the morgue.
Mei looked at Mizuki and thought "Why didn't I see this?", after a moment she was about to leave, however, she saw the twitch of Mizuki's finger.
Mei: Kouichi! Come here!
Kouichi: What's it all about?
Mei: I think I saw a twitch
Kouichi hugged Mei.
Kouichi: Mei, I know it's hard, but you're hungover, you might have been hallucinating.
Mei: Will you check his pulse?
Kouichi: I think I can do it..
Kouichi put his finger on Mizuki's wrist, He was suddenly shocked.
Kouichi: He.. he is alive!
Doctor!
The nail that was hammered into Mizuki did not go in deeply, however, it was hammered near the temple.
It was a miracle that Mizuki survived.
His rehabilitation didn't take long either, after 4 days he regained consciousness.
Mizuki: Huh? What happened? Am I alive?
Mei smiled lightly.
Mei: Yes, you are.
Mizuki: Are you sure?
Mei: I'm sure of it.
Mizuki: Can I ask you one question?
And promise me you won't be mad at me.
Mei: It depends.
Mizuki: Aunt Misaki is alive?
Mei took a deep sigh.
Mei: No, she died back in 1998.
Mizuki: Then I am alive, at least I think so.
Mei: Why did you ask about her?
Mizuki: It occurs to me that, I was living in an alternate world, even though I was dead only 16 hours, it seemed to me that I spent three days there.
Mei: What was it like there?
Mizuki started telling his mother about the alternative world.
