Hello and Welcome to Chapter 8 of Hazbin Potluck! Today we are looking at what Charlie is planning for dessert! It took the week of figuring out which desserts could fit each character without being over the top. I didn't write out the recipes for this chapter because otherwise it would be a looong chapter and i didn't want to have you all getting bored. These recipes do not belong to me and the characters do not belong to me. Enjoy!

Charlie's Surprise

Charlie sat in her office, thinking over all the recipes that the other's were making. "This is going to be fun! I can't believe that they're all taking it seriously too!" Charlie said to her pet cat Keekee. Keekee just looked at Charlie from her perch on the windowsill before looking back out the window. "Alright, so what dessert to make?" Charlie wondered as she sat there. She wanted to make something that represented them, but she wasn't sure how to make it. "Keekee, you have any ideas on what I could make?" Charlie asked the cat. "Hm, it's got be a good one. So, what could it be?"

Charlie sat there thinking back to what she had learned about the other's recipes. "Each one seems to come from when they were alive, so what if I make each of them a dessert from when they were alive?" Charlie said out loud. She thought about it before Razzle and Dazzle flew in to tell her that the egg bois were getting into her glitter supply again. "Alright, let's go get that cleaned up and then we'll get back to this." Charlie said, getting up to go help clean up the glitter.

"Now remember, it's ok to use glitter, but you can't just throw it everywhere. Not everyone likes to be covered in it." Charlie told the eggs. "Sorry boss lady." The eggs said before wandering off. Watching them wander off, she made her way back to her office before bumping into Angel. "Hey toots, so I have a question about this potluck." He said. "What's your question Angel?" Charlie asked, happy that he was willing to ask for her help. "Do you know of any stores that sell fish?" Angel asked. "Hm, I'll investigate it for you. I'm sure that there is a store selling fish." Charlie said. "Thanks toots." Angel said. Charlie made it back to her office, thinking. "You know what? That idea of making them each a dessert will be great." Charlie said, pulling out a piece of paper and a pen. She also got out the little computer that she keeps in her office and pulled up the internet so she could research the dessert recipes.

Charlie first wrote down the names of everyone. "Alright, for Vaggie, I'll make Plantain Empanadas with milk filling. She'll like that." Charlie smiled as she wrote down the recipe that she needed. She smiled as she thought about her partner and how they were able to overcome obstacles that they had faced. Charlie knew that as long as she had Vaggie's support, then nothing could get in her way of helping her people. "Yeah, it's taking a while, but hey, as long as we keep trying to promote the hotel, then eventually we'll get more guests." Charlie said to herself as she looked over the recipe that she had copied.

"Now for Sir. Pentious. He lived during the Victorian times, so his dessert might be a little easier." Charlie said as she looked up the recipes. She soon found one called gingerbread cake. "This seems simple enough. Oh look, there's even a video on how to make it." Charlie said, watching the video. "Wow, look Keekee, this must be what humans looked like back then. This is so cool!" Charlie said as she continued to watch the video. "Hm, I'm going to need a scale that's in grams. Don't want to get this messed up." Charlie said. She thought about how her first real guest didn't feel welcomed at first, but over the months, he settled in. "At least he promised no more weapons. Don't know how many more walls we can get Al to rebuild." Charlie said. As the video finished, she thought "After the cake comes out, I'll sprinkle some powder sugar on it to make it look nicer."

"Next up is Angel. Hm, what can I make for him? I'll need to make sure it's as authentic as possible. He gets touchy about Italian food." Charlie said as she looked at each recipe. Soon, she found one for Biscotto di mezz'agosto. "Wow, this is all in Italian. I wonder if they have it translated version." Charlie thought. Soon she found a way to translate it. "I do hope that this doesn't make Angel upset. He's always talking about how big his family is. Then again, I guess that his family must be big if he's Italian." Charlie said to herself. She wrote down the recipe and double checked it again to make sure that it was written correctly. "I wonder if he has any family here that I can ask to make sure I have it written down right." Charlie had written both the Italian version and the translated version down, to make sure she had it right.

"Alright, now it's Niffty's turn. Al said that she's half Japanese, so I'll make her Higashi." Charlie said. She had heard Niffty talk about it before, but she never made it. "I wonder why she hasn't made it. I just need to get some molds to press it in." Charlie said. As Charlie copied the recipe down, she thought about the chaotic maid that Alastor had brought in to help. "She does a good job of keeping everything clean and mostly bug free. I wonder what her story is." Charlie wondered to herself. "Maybe I can get one of Uncle Oz's imps to get the molds for me from earth. I'm sure he wouldn't mind. And besides, it's not like dad is going to really care anyway." Charlie told the now sleeping cat. She looked over the recipe to make sure that she had everything done correctly. "I hope you like these Niffty." Charlie thought.

"Next up is Husk. What can I make for him?" Charlie wondered as she sat there, tapping her pen. She knew that he was gambler and that from what she heard him tell Angel, he lived in Las Vegas when he was alive. "He likes alcohol, but I'm not sure how to cook with it." Charlie said before pointing a finger up and going "Time to research!" After looking up how to cook with alcohol, she found some recipes that he might like. "Oh, he might like this one. Drunken Pineapple Upside Down Cake." Charlie read. She looked over the recipe and saw how easy it was to make. "This one is easy. Just got to make sure get the good bottle of Rum from the bar." Charlie said. She knew that Husk didn't seem to really care where the booze went as long as the tabs were paid, and his inventory was correct. "I wonder if he worked in a bar since he's from Vegas." Charlie said as she wrote down the recipe.

Charlie sat back then and thought about what dessert she could make for Alastor. After finding out that he was from New Orleans, Charlie researched the city. "Hm, and he doesn't like sweets, this is going to be tough." Charlie said, scratching her head. As she thought about it, she remembered one dessert food that kept popping up. "I wonder if he likes beignets. It seems very popular there." She wondered. "It can't hurt to make them. After all, they looked really good in the pictures." Charlie said as wrote the recipe down. As she wrote the recipe down, she thought about her mysterious business partner. "I'm glad that he's here to help, but I wonder what he is really up to? I know he said that he's here for the entertainment, but I wonder." "At least he's promised not to do anything to anyone staying here Keekee." Charlie told her cat as she finished the recipe.

"Alright, so we have Vaggie, Sir. Pentious, Angel, Niffty, Husk and Alastor. Why does it look like I'm forgetting something?" she asked herself, scratching her head. She then realized that she forgot to include herself. "Oh yeah, my dessert. Hmm, what would be good? Oh, I know!" Charlie said as she wrote down her recipe. "There, I can't wait for this." She said, smiling and putting everything away.

Wow, Charlie has put alot of thought into each one, hasn't she? But then again, its Charlie we are talking about. She cares about each of the residents of the hotel as we know. If you enjoyed this chapter, be kind and leave a review and I will see you all next week! Until then!
