Chapter 6 Meeting
Ena's POV

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, I was waiting for Airi at the Scramble Crossing.

"Hey there, Ena", she greeted when she arrived.

"Hey there, Airi", I greeted. "Are the girls from your school here yet?"

"Momoi-Senpai", A voice I didn't know yelled out suddenly.

I then looked in the direction it came from, and saw a girl with fluffy blonde hair with pink tips waving at Airi. Next to her was a girl with dark, straight hair.

"That's them", Airi replied, before waving back. "Over here, Tenma-San! Hoshino-San!"

After hearing this, the girls walked up to us.

"Hello, Momoi-Senpai", the fluffy haired girl greeted Airi excitedly.

"Hello, Momoi-Senpai", the straight haired girl greeted with a polite bow. "Thank you for inviting us out today."

"You're very welcome", Airi said, before turning to me. "Allow me to introduce my friend."

"Nice to meet you two", I greeted with a bow myself. "My name is Shinonome Ena."

"Nice to meet you, Shinonome-Senpai", the fluffy haired girl greeted. "I'm Tenma Saki, and this is my childhood friend, Hoshino Ichika."

"It's very nice to meet you, Shihonome-Senpai", the other girl greeted with another polite bow.

"To you as well", I said. "Now then, since we're all here, should we all go sit down somewhere and discuss this whole band thing?"

"Good idea, Ena", Airi said. "But where should we go?"

"I have a suggestion", Saki replied excitedly. "Not too long ago, I started working at a café, and I've been meaning to go back as a customer so I can actually try out the food on the menu!"

"Sounds like a good plan", Airi said. "Alright then! Lead the way, Tenma-San!"

We had just arrived at the café.

"Greetings", a waitress said as she walked up to us. "Welcome to…"

As the waitress talking, she suddenly stopped when she spotted Saki, and smiled at her.

"Saki-Chan", she greeted happily. "What are you doing here? You're not working a shift today, are you?"

"Hi, Minori-Chan", Saki greeted. "And today…I'm here as a customer, and I brought my friends along with me!"

"Hello, Hanasato-San", Ichika greeted. "It's nice to see you again."

"It's nice to see you again too, Hoshino-San", the waitress (who was named Minori) greeted.

Then, she turned to face Airi…and her eyes lit up in shock.

"Wait a minute", she started in realisation. "You're Momoi Airi from QT!"

"I know, right", Saki asked excitedly. "I've been a big fan of hers since middle school, and now I'm about to eat in a café with her?! It's a dream come true!"

"In that case, I will help in aiding you with that dream", Minori said with a surprising amount of determination. "Please, allow me to show you to your table!"

As we were waiting for our food, I decided to finally talk about why I asked to meet Ichika and Saki in the first place.

"Alright then", I started. "I think it's about time we discussed why I asked to meet you two in the first place."

"Right", Ichika said. "Momoi-Senpai told us that you're unsure about joining our band?"

"That's right", I confirmed. "The truth is, I only started playing the drums so my mom would get off my case. There's no need for me to go as far as to join a band."

"I understand that", Saki said. "However, could you please think about it, Ena-San? Our band could really use a drummer. Plus, one of Momoi-Senpai's friends playing with her would add to what being in this band is all about!"

"What do you mean", I asked. "What is this band all about anyway?"

"I'm not sure if Momoi-Senpai told you this, but I was very sick and had to spend a majority of middle school stuck in the hospital. I missed out on so much of my high school life. But now, I'm out of the hospital, and I want to enjoy my youth to the fullest! That's what this band is all about!"

"Enjoying youth to the fullest, huh", I said.

Then, I started thinking, and soon made up my mind.

"Okay", I said. "I'll join your band."

"Really", Saki asked excitedly.

"You will", Ichika asked.

"Sure, why not", I asked. "Enjoying our youth to the fullest sounds like fun."

"Yay", Saki exclaimed happily. "Thank you so much, Shinonome-Senpai!"

"Yes. Thank you very much, Shinonome-Senpai ", Ichika said with another polite bow. "I look forward to playing in a band with you."

"I look forward to playing with you girls as well", I said, before turning to look at Airi. "And, it'll be nice to get to hang out with Airi more often."

"I'm glad we'll get hang out more too, Ena", Airi said.

Then, she suddenly grabbed onto her glass.

"Alright", she started. "Let's celebrate the formation of our band with a toast!"

"Right", Saki agreed as she also grabbed onto her glass.

Then, Airi held her glass up.

"Alright! Here's to…"

As Airi was speaking, she suddenly stopped when she realised something.

"Wait a minute", she started. "What's the name of our band?"

"You're right", Saki exclaimed in dismay. "We don't have a band name! Let's think of something right now!"

With that, we all started thinking.

"Let's see", Ichika started. "This group is about celebrating our youth. Saki and I are friends, as well as Momoi-Senpai and Shinonome-Senpai."

When Ichika said this, Saki seemed to get an idea.

"I've got it", she exclaimed excitedly.

Then, she grabbed onto her glass again and held it up.

"From this day forth, our band shall be known as…Youthful/Friends!"

"Youthful/Friends", Ichika repeated.

"I like it", I said.

"It has a nice ring to it", Airi added.

Then, she held up her glass again.

"Alright then", she said. "Here's to Youthful/Friends!"

"To Youthful/Friends!"
