Chapter 44: League Attacks the Camp

The twp had gotten back to camp and before falling asleep they knew they had to have a short conversion with Inko and Melissa just to assure them they were fine and it felt off not having their nightly conversation.

"Where the fuck were you after dinner?" asked Katsuki.

"We were checking up on Kota." Explained Izuku.

"He didn't punch you again?" asked Ochaco.

"Not this time don't worry." Explained Izuku.

"But seriously why did you check up on him?" asked Katsuki.

"Is about what we heard last night?" asked Shoto.

"Yeah…" explained Izuku.

"I told him not to push people away." Said Tenya.

The others were just confused.

"There's a story isn't there?" asked Melissa.

"It's not our place to tell." Explained Izuku.

"That poor boy…" sighed Inko knowing that it was bad.

"Yeah…" agreed Izuku.

That was when all of his partners felt Izuku's awkwardness.

"Deku… what happened?" asked Katsuki .

"I might have almost accidentally bonded him with…" explained Izuku.

"Oh come on…" muttered Katsuki.

"What happened?" asked Tsuyu.

"Well I was thinking about how I wanted to help him and well…" said Izuku.

"So he didn't grab it at least that's good." Said Ochaco.

The others felt the awkwardness from Tenya and Izuku.

"He was going to grab it out of spite wasn't he?" asked Shoto.

"He was… but I pulled him away in time." Said Tenya.

"Just be careful you're trying to help people…" said Inko, "I think your control slips when you think about that…"

"Yeah…" thought Izuku.

"Deku you need to get sleep if you want to have time as human tomorrow for training." Pointed out Katsuki.

"Right…" thought Izuku.

He ended the called and went to sleep.

Little did he know that he would be wishing that had gotten more sleep that night…

The next day, Izuku once again chose a quirk from the jar, which time it was the blank piece which meant it was the wild card.

"Now…" said Aizawa.

"Engine." Said Izuku without missing a beat.

Aizawa nodded knowing that was the one that Izuku was having the hardest time with.

He joined Tenya.

"Remember Izuku this is going to be much tougher than usual." Said Tenya.

"I know." Said Izuku.

He lifted up his pant legs and activated the quirk.

All day he ran around following Tenya, tripping every once in a while. But it was clear that as time went on the less he started to trip.

During training Pixie Bob made an announcement.

"All right! Tonight we're going to be having a little competition with a test of courage!" yelled Pixie Bob, ""It will be Class 1-A VS. Class 1-B!"

However everyone who heard her was just grumbling about how that sounded like more training.

Once again they were making dinner.

That day Katsuki was put in charge of chopping ingredients surprising almost everyone with how good she was.

"Let me guess your mom makes you make you do that sort of stuff at home." Joked Ochaco.

"Just shut up…" growled Katsuki.

"Sorry…" said Ochaco.

"Have you met his mom yet?" asked Toru.

"I have…" said Ochaco.

"I've only heard her over the phone." Said Tsuyu.

"Stop talking about the hag and get to work!" yelled Katsuki.

Everyone listening to the conversation sweat dropped.

After dinner it was time for the test of courage.

However the five that failed their exam had remedial classes and were sadly dragged away.

"It figures…" muttered Katsuki rolling her eyes at them.

"We all know you're disappointed because you're a tsundere for Kirishima." Said Mineta.

Katsuki was about to attack Mineta.

"Kacchan! No!" scolded Izuku in animal form.

"All right! This is how the competition will go!" tilled Pixie Bob, "Your classes will take turns. Being the scarers. It will be Class 1-B's turn first while Class 1-A will be the one to test their courage!"

The rules were simple in that the class who got the most screams would be the winner of the competition and also no touching. Also it would be done in pairs.

"All right! We'll be choose by drawing lots!" cheered Pixie Bob.

Due to the odd number of students it meant that one of them would be going solo.

Toru ended up getting paired with Jiro, Tenya ended up getting paired with Koda. While Ochaco and Tsuyu got paired up in a team as was Katsuki and Shoto.

Izuku on the other hand…

"Why am I the one going alone!" cried Izuku.

"Hey come on! It's not like no one chose you on purpose! You're the most popular guy in class…" assured Ojiro.

"I know and… wait you think I'm the most popular guy in class?" asked Izuku.

Izuku was very confused at this.

"Wait to go tail boy… you short circuited Deku's brain!" said Katsuki.

"It's too bad Izuku wasn't with Ochaco! Because that would been so funny!" said Toru, "Since they're a couple they could cling to each other when they get scared and help each other through…"

"Plus it would probably cause them to lose points…" said Katsuki.

"It would annoy them too." Said Shoto.

"I kind of want to see that…" admitted Tsuyu.

"No switching partners!" yelled Pixie Bob.

After a while it was Tsuyu and Ochaco's turn to go in.

"So what is your plan?" asked Tenya as it wasn't her team's turn yet.

"I have less than an hour in human form." Sighed Izuku, "I don't think I can do both as human…"

"I doubt they will go easy on your in this form." Said Tenya.

"Yeah…" sighed Izuku.

That was when all of them noticed a fire erupting in the forest.

"Oh no…" said Izuku.

"Izuku!" yelled Tenya.

"I know!" said Izuku.

He activated his telepathy.

"Are you okay?" he mentally asked.

"What's going on?" asked Inko as Izuku opened up full group chat.

"I'm sorry Melissa! But something's going on at camp!" thought Izuku.

"It's fine…" said Melissa, "Maybe I can help out in my own way…"

However before more could be said suddenly Pixie Bob was suddenly flung towards something.

They saw that it was two people a… well in body the person was a man but they were in fact a woman. The other looked like a lizard dressed like Stain.

"Izuku what's wrong?" asked Inko.

"Villains!" thought Izuku.

"What…" said Melissa.

"You haven't answered!" mentally yelled Tenya.

"We're fine for now…" assured Tsuyu.

"Yeah…" agreed Ochaco.

"We found some guy from Class 1-B passed out." Thought Katsuki.

"But we're fine…" assured Shoto.

But that was when they got no answer from Toru.

Izuku was shaking.

However he senses that she was alive at least.

"She's alive!" thought Izuku.

"She must be unconscious." Thought Shoto, "There's a gas attack here…"

Izuku was shaking.

"There's some sort of gas attack!" said Izuku.

"From what we've been able to gather students are passing out in the forest." Said Tenya.

"Your telepathy is two way, right?" asked Mandalay.

"But only with those I've bonded with…" said Izuku.

"I see…" said Mandalay.

She sent out her own telepathic message to everyone in the camp who could hear her.

That was when she realized.

"Oh no… where's Kota!" she cried.

Izuku and Tenya looked at each other.

"We know where he is." Said Izuku.

"You do?" asked Mandalay.

Izuku nodded.

However before more could be said however the lizard introduced himself.

"We're part of the Vanguard Action Squad of the League of Villains." Said the lizard like man.

Izuku's eyes widened.

"It's the League of Villains!" mentally yelled Izuku.

"Oh what the fuck!" yelled Katsuki.

'I'm calling Nezu!" cried Inko.

"But we have no idea when back up would come…" pointed out Tsuyu.

"It's better than nothing…" sighed Inko.

"My mom's calling Principal Nezu." Whispered Izuku to Mandalay and Tiger.

"Will Nezu believe her?" asked Tiger.

"I think they gave her a job at the school in case of something like this…" whispered Mandalay.

That was when the lizard like man noticed Tenya.

"Wait… you're that kid who turned into a girl in order to live after nearly dying by Stain's hand." Said the lizard like man.

Tenya looked at the lizard like man.

"So you're one of Stain's followers?" asked Tenya.

"Of course! And I will continue what he started by purging all false heroes!" yelled the lizard like man.

"You need to go now!" said Mandalay, "Class Rep! You need to get them to safety. You're in charge."

"Wait… I should go get Kota." Said Izuku.

"Are you sure?" asked Tenya.

"It will be fine." Said Izuku who then turned to human form, "You're the class representative."

Tenya nodded however felt extremely worried.

"Uh…" said Izuku.

"Deku! Keep your damn worries yourself right now! Now's not a good time!" scolded Katsuki.

"That's not my worry…" pointed out Izuku.

"Oh…" thought Katsuki, "Whoever worried rein in your emotions and keep them to yourself!"

Izuku decided it was best to super jump to Kota's secret hideout.

And it was a good think he found Kota as he saw Kota was about to get attack by a villain.

"You okay?" Izuku asked Kota.

Kota nodded.

Izuku noticed that when he saved Kota however his phone fell out of his pocket and got smashed.

"Oh no!" thought Izuku.

"What's wrong?" asked Inko.

"Well I just saved Kota from one of the villains… but I just wrecked my phone so I can't get into contact with someone besides you…" thought Izuku.

"I'll send you a new phone when it's over." Reassured Melissa.

"Wait… there's a villain there?" asked Inko.

"There is…" thought Izuku.

"Hey! You okay… you're spacing out…" said Kota.

"I'll explain later." Said Izuku.

"So… you're Midoriya." Said the villain.

Izuku looked at the villain who was blonde with a heavily scared face including a missing eye.

"So I was the one to find you first." Said the villain with an evil grin.

"What does that mean…" said Izuku.

"IF you must know, you're the reason why we're attacking the camp. The league wants to capture you alive." Said the villain.

Izuku completely froze when he said that. He couldn't move.

"No… no…" he thought.

"Izuku?" asked Ochaco.

"Izuku… what's wrong?" asked Inko.

"Please answer…" pleased Tenya.

"Deku…" growled out Katsuki.

"I'm the reason why they're attacking the camp…" thought Izuku still in shock.

"WHAT!" mentally yelled everyone else.

And indeed it was true… the main reason why they went after the camp was the to capture Izuku alive…

Next Time: Izuku knows that he have to fight off the villain, but it's not going to be an easy fight. What will happen? Find out next time!
