Chapter 72: The Raid Begins
Toshinori jolted awake. She had the strangest dream that night. It was about the origins of One for All, memories that the first held about his brother… he also saw Nana in the dream…
She and who in the dream saw was the first holder told him that things were going to change.
She took several breaths and look at the clock.
"Maybe I should go back to bed." She muttered to herself.
After all the raid was the next day.
And she wouldn't be surprised from what she heard about Chisaki's quirk so far that she would be needed.
But still she couldn't help but to think of the dream she had… and had a feeling it was far more important than it seemed.
Hours later outside of an old mansion, the heroes needed for the raid had gathered along with e police.
With many of them surprised as how many cops there were.
As they were talking about this Izuku noticed something.
"Wait Gran Torino isn't here." Said Izuku looking around.
"Yeah he couldn't make it. Something came up." Said Sir Nighteye.
"Oh should I tell All Might?" asked Izuku.
"Yes, that should be a good idea." Said Sir Nighteye.
Izuku turned on Telepathy with All ?Might.
"Hey I wanted to let you know that Gran Torino didn't make it." Thought Izuku.
"Oh thank god!" responded Toshinori, "Wait… did you hear that?"
Izuku sweat dropped at that.
Sir Nighteye saw Izuku's expressed and could tell what was going on.
Kirishima noticed Izuku face.
"Turns out All Might is terrified of old man… something about him behind his teacher." Said Katsuki.
"Oh that makes sense." Said Kirishima.
Aizawa approached the four that were under him.
"you four are to stick with me." Reminded Aizawa, "Also we'll be sticking with Nighteye's team."
"Right!" said Tenya and Shoto.
Katsuki on the other hand grinned that.
"Heroes. They're probably going to put up a fight you know. So I you spot any of them resisting arrest. You know what to do!" said the police officer in charge of everything.
He told the heroes to wait until the arrest warrant was deliver as tried to ring the bell.
Then a very large man punched through the gate.
And because of that the fight began!
Three of the cops were sent flying.
Aizawa caught two of them his scarf, while Katsuki using explosions from her feet to jump into the air to catch him.
"You injured?' asked Katsuki.
"I'm fine… just get back to it." Said the cop.
Katsuki nodded and joined the fight.
As the massive villain attack, Ryukyu jumped in and turned into her dragon form to fight him.
Thankfully she was bigger than him.
"The Ryukyu Agency will deal with this one! You guys go inside and finish the job." Said Ryukyu.
Of course this also meant the Ochaco and Tsuyu were part of the group that would handle him.
"Don't worry they're be fine." Said Kirishima.
"Come on!" yelled Katsuki.
Izuku nodded as they fought through the large group of Yakuza members.
They got inside the house where things were quiet.
Thankfully once they got into the mansion they were able to get through very quickly as it was oddly empty.
Though many of the heroes talked about the loyalty the lower members of the Yakuza had towards the boss.
They approached an area.
"During my investigation I found a known member and was able to use my quirk on him." Said Sir Nighteye.
The moved a vase and began to fiddle with the panels.
The wall opened up.
Of course more Yakuza appeared.
Thankfully Bubble Girl and Centipeder were able to take care of them easily.
They headed down the stair.
"It's just like a secret ninja base!" said Toru.
"Now's not the time." Said Aizawa.
They counited their way through the hallway but that was when they found a wall.
"I'll go check through." Said Togata.
He walked through the wall.
"Wait! Don't you'll end up butt-naked again!" yelled Kirishima.
"Don't worry, special fibers in his costume is made using his DNA." Said Amajiki, "It reacts the same way an permeates stuff too."
"Oh wow." Said Kirishima.
Then he realized.
"Wait…" he said looking at Toru.
"No one can make an actual costume." She explained.
Kirishima nodded.
"It's pretty thick but we can break through it." Said Mirio.
Katsuki and Kirishima grinned.
"You ready?" asked Kirishima.
"OH yeah!" said Katsuki.
The two combined their powers and knocked down the wall.
However the triumph was short lived as hallway began to warp and change.
At the entrance of the basement it suddenly closed up.
They realized what was happening one of the higher ranked members had a quirk called mimicry.
He allowed him to possess and control something however he was limited to the size of fridge, however it clear he took quirk enhancers to give himself a boost.
Aizawa couldn't do anything because he couldn't see the guy.
Amajiki began to freak out however Togata began to calm down who also decided to run on ahead.
However just as he completely calming down suddenly the floor opened up beneath all of the remaining students, Aizawa, Sir Nighteye, Fat Gum, Rock Lock, the head police officer and a few of the remaining police officers.
They fell through thankfully the fall wasn't the high meaning they weren't trying to kill them with the fall.
"Deku! Turn on telepathy." Said Katsuki.
"Oh right!" said Izuku blushing about the fact he didn't have it before.
He also included Ochaco and Tsuyu just in case they needed to talk.
"You guys okay?" asked Ochaco.
"Uh…" thought Izuku.
"Things could be going better." Thought Tenya.
"That's one way of putting that." Mentally muttered Katsuki.
They all recovered when they saw three members of the Yakuza had showed up.
It was clear that a fight would begin.
"I'll handle them!" called out Amajiki though he was nervous.
Though it was clear he did get it handled as she was able to turn one of his hands into tentacles and able to restrain them. Though Aizawa did help him a bit.
IT was thanks to them they were able to get away from a set of doors that there thankfully in the room, including Aizawa despite helping him.
"Fat! What's the deal! We're just leaving him here?" asked Kirishima.
"He's a fucking member of the big three! He can handle it!" said Katsuki.
Kirishima blushed at that.
"She's right." Said Fat Gum, "He's a lot more capable than you gave him credit for. He's just lacking sprit, the need to perfect crushes him. But he still rose to be one of the Big Three."
They continued to run through the halls after that.
Of course Kirishima was still worried about Amajiki. Though Fat Gum did managed to get Kirishima to realize that Amajiki was fine.
Though Kirishima started.
"Stop yelling… now's not the time to yell." Said Shoto.
Kirishima started to blush at that.
Katsuki just rolled her eyes.
That was when they found the stairs.
However Shoto realized something.
"We need to be on our guards, it could be a trap." Thought Shoto.
"What?" thought Izuku.
"He's right, the hallways hadn't moved in a while." Thought Tenya, "The one controlling it might have wanted to go come here."
However as it turned out Tenya was much right as suddenly the wall moved in a way that it was aiming for Aizawa… which made sense as while he couldn't find the guy at the moment he was the one who could handle the one controlling everything.
A hole in the wall appeared and it was clear that that Aizawa was being pushed to that hole.
However Fat Gum took the hit instead being pushed through.
Once everything had calmed.
"GOD DAMN IT!" yelled Katsuki.
"What is it?" asked Aizawa.
That was when they noticed someone else missing.
"Shitty hair got pushed through too.": muttered Katsuki.
Everyone who was part of the telepathy could feel her annoyance.
"What's wrong?" asked Ochaco.
"We got separated from Kirishima." Thought Toru.
"You wanted to fight side by side by him… right?" asked Tsuyu.
"No of course not." Thought Katsuki.
It should be noted that she crossed harms and was blushing bright red.
"Look! I don't know what's going on! But we shouldn't let high school drama get in the way of this mission." Scolded Rock Lock.
An awkward silence filled the hallway and they counited on their way.
Of course soon enough the entry hall way began to warp and move in a way that looked it was going to crush them.
Rock Lock used his quirk on the walls which allowed him to freeze nonliving things. But he was having a hard time of course. But it was clear that they did corner the one controlling everything.
Katsuki even helped blowing something up that tried to crush them.
However that was when everything opened up. Into a large room.
"Be on your guard." Thought Shoto quickly realizing it was another trap;.
And sooner enough everything began to move like crazy.
Izuku and Toru were standing next to each other.
"invisible Girl! Artemis"! called out Aizawa.
Aizawa managed to grab Izuku and Tenya managed to grab Toru however it was clear with how everything that went down they were separated from everyone else.
"Kacchan! Shoto!" thought Izuku.
"Everyone but Rock Lock are here with us." Thought Katsuki.
And it was clear that they could hear each other when one of the cops called out.
The walls were thin.
However that was when they heard Rock Lock scream.
In the room where Izuku, Tenya, Toru and Aizawa were they heard it.
They looked at each other and nodded.
Izuku activated Katsuki's quirk to damage the wall just enough and Tenya kicked down the wall.
They had found not one but 2 Rock Locks. One was on the ground injured while the other stood over him.
"Oh… Izuku I didn't think you'd show up!" said the second Rock Lock with a scary smile.
He then put his hands up.
"I surrender with conditions." Said the second Rock Lock.
It was clear whoever this imposter something more was going on.
And that was when the imposter began to melt into goo… or rather reveal who they were.
It was Toga…
Izuku froze.
After all he was still rather traumatized form his kidnapping and her attacking him during the exam.
However what the real question was why was she surrendering…
Next Time: Why did Toga and Twice surrender when seeing Izuku... turns out Chisaki did something to a member of the League and they want revenge. And it turns they figured Izuku might sympathize with their revenge... but why is that? Find out next time!
A/N: I am aware of the WMG on TV Tropes and I'm jossing the Magical Girl Vestige theory... when I first read it I'm going to admit I laughed cried, it was that funny to me... but I couldn't figure out how it work... so sad to say it's jossed. However I have a fun vestige twist I plan to reveal after this arc. I won't say what it is but I hope you'll enjoy it when I reveal it.
