Ned was surely having the time of his life as he was interacting with these three demon animals in their enclosed pen nest to the apartment where Cody, Loona, and Blitzo lived in.
While everyone else was having fun (minus Loona, who was feeling a little indifferent as usual), Blitzo was feeling very conflicted and guilty at the same time. He didn't know why he had just snapped at Stolas like that.
Was it out of anger? Or was it... something else? But one thing he knew was that: he loves horses with all his heart, and jumped in the enclosure to interact with Bombroof, and he had a big attachment with the majestic demon beast. The imp snuggled against its face like a kitten pestering his owner to give him attention.
"Oh yes, you're such a good boy, Bombproof, yes you are! Yes you are!" Then the imp began cooing and making baby noises at the demon horse before he sneezed a wave of fire from his nostrils, right into Blitzo's own face, making it wrinkled, charred, and black.
This didn't stop Blitzo from cuddling it some more. It was almost like he didn't remember what he was even mad about.
"What if we give them a bigger pen?" Asked Loona. "They're getting a little big for this kind of pen, and they're more built for being out in more open areas."
"Where else can you put them?" Asked Millie. "Who else can take care of them besides you guys? You city people need to be more open of the country more often."
"Yeah I don't wanna get rid of them." Cody said.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa," said Loona. "I didn't say get rid of them. I'm saying we should put them in a much bigger area."
"Maybe I can have a little chat with the landlord and pay him fifty bucks to get permission to expand the fence." Blitzo said. "In Hell, money talks."
Dusty the demon eland knelt down his head, almost looking like he was about to charge at the fence, but it turned out Dusty was just lowering his head so that Ned can have a touch at his sharp, curvy horns. Ned was still having fun and giggling at interacting with these demons, and laughed at Blitzo's charred black head.
"You look like a way overdue banana." Loona smirked at her adopted father.
"Yeah, well, let's see what Fizz thinks about having his head and face blasted with a large wave of fire like a blowtorch!" Blitzo did not sound amused
"So how does that crystal work?" Asked Cody curiously
"Here. I'll show you, kiddo." Blitzo activated it and revealed a portal from Hell to Earth. It looked like a small town in the middle of the wilderness, and some cars going by. "With one press of this baby, and I will never have to worry about that book again." He had a sneaky look on his face and pulled out a banana peel, and tossed it through the portal behind him. The next car was already skidding and spinning out of control after one of its wheels caught the peel, and the sound of tires screeching the pavement and some cars crashing were heard. !not only those, but some people were screaming as they were getting into an accident, then Blitzo closed the portal. "Ha! Classic! I'm starting to love this thing
Loona realized it was feeding time for the three animals in their enclosure and Tex brought out some fresh fruit for them to munch on as their dinner.
Going into the pen, Cody was greeted by Chop, who is always happy to see his human companion, especially after winning the pig race against Slasher many months ago.
"Yeah, I'm happy to see you, Chop." Cody giggled as he was rubbing the back of the pig's head. Chop always loved being scratched there and let out a few happy grunts as Cody was scratching and scratching.
Dusty himself wanted some head-scratches and Cody did just that, although he rolled his eyes in slight annoyance. The demon eland wanted an equal amount of attention as Chop was having.
The stronger demons dumped the fruit in the troughs, and the three animals dug in their dinner with loud munching noises heard. All three of the livestock were well-fed and Chop even let out a burp from himself. "So, how do you feel, Blitzo?" Cody asked the imp.
"Well... i still feel like something's wrong." Blitzo admitted. "But i don't know what it is."
"Guilt?" said Moxxie with an unamused look on his face. "You're guilty for hurting Stolas?"
"No one asked you, Moxxie!" Blitzo snapped at him. "Look, i'm sure Stolas will get over it. He always does, and he loves it when i talk sh- i mean, talk smack to him."
"I don't know, he sounded pretty serious when we talked to him, Sir." said Millie. "You may have gone... a little bit too far."
"Pfft, he'll get over it. I know it." Blitzo rebuffed
The others looked at him, looking skeptical. They all did talk to the Goetia prince before coming outside to talk to the imp to hear what he had to say. And, indeed; Stolas sounded far more sincere in this one. "I've known my dad longer than you, weirdo." Octavia crossed her arms. "I can easily tell when something's wrong."
"But, i am his childhood friend." Blitzo countered. "Just wait and see." deep down, however, the crude imp was feeling a little unsure himself, he just didn't want to explicitly show it to his own peers.
Cody, Ned, and Loona were all back at Ned's own house and Cody was wondering about that awkward situation he had unintentionally got himself into. But he decided to stay out of this since this had nothing to do with him.
Loona gave him a few glances of concern as she was glancing on her phone, too. Her sisterly instincts were kicking in. As for Ned, he was building some blocks in the living room and looked outside a few times. At last, Loona sat with him on the couch, and asked: "Are you ok?"
"Yeah. I'm fine, Loona. Just a little worried about Blitzo and Stolas. And i thought Stolas loves him."
"Maybe he's just bored of Bitzo maybe. And, honestly, i just stay out of these things. There's some things not worth fixing, and things you can't fix at all, no matter how hard you try, Cody."
"Well... that doesn't help." Cody huddled his legs close to him
"I... i'm sorry, i shouldn't have said that." Loona realized she might have made a false move. "Just saying the truth. I mean, look at what happened to some of those followers in Hell when you tried to convince that you weren't the Antichrist. Not all of them believed you. probably three, four, or five of them still think you are the Antichrist." she turned her head away. "Some people just can't be convinced of anything. They can be as stubborn as pigs or more."
"You're right. Maybe they might be friends again, maybe they might not." Cody said.
Loona felt her tail being hugged by Ned again, and it made the female hellhound annoyed that her tail was being... violated like this. "Ned," she groaned. "You can't keep this up forever."
"Fluffy." Ned said.
"Let him have it. He's just two." Cody pointed. Loona would have to get used to this kind of thing. After all, the older boy was right, Ned was only still a toddler. "But it was pretty cool what Octavia showed us with that orb."
The female hellhound gave him a smile. "I know, Cody." she said. "Just hope i can get paid for this when Ned's parents get back."
"I'm sure they will pay you."
"Hmph."
The three decided to watch a movie together and sat on the couch together. Over the course of the movie, Cody and Ned slowly fell asleep as they were sleeping next to Loona on one side. Loona looked at the sleeping boys and smiled, using her tail as a blanket for both boys, being as big, thick, and fluffy as it is. Loona made sure these boys were save and sound with her. It was like a mother wolf keeping an eye on her own pups. Hellhounds are no exception
Another hour had passed as Loona was gently ruffling the heads on both boys as they were still snoozing. The sun was now completely set, and the moon was out, and all of the stars were showing in the sky. It was just then the parents had come home from their nice date. Brian and Margaret had full bellies and were touched to see how Loona was taking care of the boys.
"Here, a little something for your trouble." said Brian in a whisper, giving the female hellhound a one-hundred dollar bill.
"Cody, Cody, wake up." Loona whispered to her adopted brother.
"Oh, you guys are back?" said Cody
"Yep. We'll take it from here now." said Brian. "Thank you guys so much for watching Ned."
"We'll just tuck him into bed now and you guys can go home."
"Sure, let me get Blitzo to get us back." Loona texted Blitzo and after thirty seconds, Blitzo activated his new Asmodean crystal and the two went back to Hell while Ned's parents gently hauled him up for bedtime.
"I gotta hand it to you guys, this gem works like a fucking charm." Blitzo admitted "Did you guys have fun?"
"More or less." the female hellhound rolled her eyes. Looking at Cody with a smile, she asked: "Wanna play some video games before bed?"
"Sure."
