Sonic and the Freedom fighters

Hi everyone, this is mastershadow, I'm doing a sonic game timeline along with some side stories, but with the freedom fighters and many more friends, even six certain characters from another world which will be merged later on (forgot to mention that), including chronicles because I liked the game, but the story could be a little better along with the planned sequel, I'm also adding the events from the idw comics because they're awesome, also Sally won't hook up with sonic for a while until way later, but for now enjoy.

Dark Legion part 2- Echidnaopolis

The group enter the city looking amazed at the scenery. and Knuckles was mostly surprised to see so many echidnas.

"Wow, its beautiful and I guess I'm no longer the last Echidna besides my great grandfather," Knuckles said."

"Roar," Chomps said."

"I'll say, I've dreamed of coming here," Julie-su said."

"Knuckles, is that you?" a voice asked."

"Who said that?" Knuckles asked."

Knuckles and the others turn around and sees a female Echidna Walk up to him.

"Surely you wouldn't recognize your own mother," the echidna said."

"Mother?!" the group said."

"Hello Lara-le," Archimedes said."

"You too Archimedes," Lara-le said." I know its sudden, but can i have a hug?"

"Well, it's a lot to take in, because dad told me you were gone," Knuckles replied."

"Of course, your father would say I was dead," Lara-le said."

"No, no, he just said you were gone, not dead," Knuckles said."

"Oh," Lara-le said." Well, if you want, I can show you around."

"As much as that would be nice, I'm afraid that the guardian and his allies need to come with us," a voice said."

"The group turns and sees an echidna police force.

"Who are you?" Knuckles asked."

"My name is Remington, head of the echidna police force," Remington replied." you're not in trouble we just need info on the dark legion while a certain someone wants to meet you."

The group follows Remington to the police force.

"He's in here guardian," Remington said."

Knuckles and Chomps enters the room and meets and old echidna in a wheelchair.

"Greetings Knuckles, I've been wanting to meet you," the old echidna said."

"Who are you?" Knuckles asked."

"I am Hawking, your grandfather generations removed," Hawking replied."

Knuckles had a shock expression on his face.

"Really?!" Knuckles asked." I didn't know I had a relative this old. Does this mean you were a guardian too?"

"Yes, follow me, there's something I must show you," Hawking replied."

Knuckles follows Hawking to a room showing videotapes.

"What is this?" Knuckles asked."

"They're tapes of how Echidnaopolis disappeared in the first place," Hawking replied."

They see the footage of a young Hawking wearing a hat fighting some dingo troops.

"Is that you when you were younger?" Knuckles asked."

"Yes, the dark legion wasn't the only the enemy we faced, we also faced the dingo army for rights on living here," Hawking replied."

The footage shows the young Hawking talking to another guardian.

"Who's that? another guardian?' Knuckles asked."

"Not important boy," Hawking replied."

The last footage showed Hawking using a big device to teleport echidnaopolis and the dingo city away.

"My plan was to temporally send both cities to the hyper zone, but the machine malfunctioned making the city come and go. I've been trying to keep them here permanently, that was when a powerful wave affected the machine," Hawking said."

"You mean the chaos wave?" Knuckles asked."

"Yes, after receiving the wave, I was able to bring the city back. but the dingo city was returning as well but both cities will start to combine and cause true trouble," Hawking replied."

"And we need to find a way to stop it?" Knuckles asked."

"Yes, before it's too late," Hawking replied."

Back in echidnaopolis,

Vector and the others leave the station.

"Man, I'm starving," Vector said."

"I bet there's a restaurant around here," Mighty said."

"I agree," Julie-su said." after giving as much info about the legion to Remington I need something to eat."

"By the way, will Simon get surgery to look like his original self?" Ray asked."

"Afraid not lad, its permanent," Simon replied."

"That still won't stop me from loving him," Floren-ca said."

They suddenly heard screaming. the group sees an echidna citizen see what looked like a dingo ghost.

"Is that a dingo?" Espio asked."

"What the?!" a dingo soldier asked."

Soon the dingo army fully appeared.

"Echidnas!" a dingo soldier said."

Elsewhere, a dingo soldier comes in an office.

"General, both cities have returned from the hyper zone," the soldier said."

"Good, now we can finish what we started," the General said."

Back with Knuckles and Hawking,

The two see the trouble happening in the city.

"This is bad, what do we do grandfather?" Knuckles asked."

"Not sure, the two cities appearing in the same spot both cities will be destroyed," Hawking replied." Unless you use the rings."

"The chaos rings?" Knuckles asked."

Suddenly Archimedes appeared.

"Knuckles we have a problem!" Archimedes said."

"What?" Knuckles asked."

"Look!" Archimedes replied pointing at the monitor."

They see Lara-le, a male echidna, and a child echidna around 4 years old being held hostage.

"They got mom!" Knuckles said." Grandfather, I'll figure out a way to stop the cities from being destroyed, but right now I got to save mom!"

"I know, I'll use my powers to buy you time," Hawking said."

"Ok, Archimedes take us there," Knuckles said."

Archimedes teleports himself, Knuckles, and Chomps to Lara-le's home.

"Hey dingo!" Knuckles said as he punches one of the soldiers.

The male echidna tackles the other one as the kid echidna hits it with a bat. Chomps bites the other one freeing Lara-le.

"Nice moves," Knuckles said."

"Thanks guardian I played varsity," the echidna said."

"Call your leader, it's time we talk," Knuckles said."

Everyone leaves the building as the Dingo's leader arrives.

"Greetings guardian, I am general von striker," Striker said." And we'll finally take what's rightfully ours."

"I'm not here to fight, I'm here to talk and save both cities," Knuckles said."

"A likely story," Striker said."

He strikes Knuckles.

"Have it your way!" Knuckles said."

The two exchange blows to each other as the dingo's, echidnas, and the chaotix watch.

From the monitor room, Hawking was watching.

"He truly is my descendent, just hang one grandson," Hawking said as he was using his powers to stall for time."

Back in the city,

As Knuckles and Striker were about to give the final blow the two cities began to shake.

"Crud, they're not stable!" Knuckles said." Everyone, get to shelter now! you too Striker!"

Striker reluctantly agrees and helps get everyone to shelters. Knuckles uses the chaos rings with an image of Hawking appearing next to him.

"Chaos rings here my wish, please help save both echidnaopolis and the dingo city," Knuckles said."

With the rings powers Knuckles was able to stabilize the cities so they won't be in danger. After word, everyone leaves their shelters seeing both cities stable and safe. Sriker was amazed as well as Knuckles walks up to him.

"You see, I saved both cities. We don't need to fight each other anymore, we have bigger threats and that's the dark legion and Robotnik," Knuckles said."

"I agree with the guardian, we can form a new Counsil for both dingos' and echidnas," Lara-le said."

(Looking around)" I agree, and I can tell most of my troops don't want to fight anymore either. so now we form an alliance to protect our cities and angel island," Striker said."

Everyone cheers as Striker and Knuckles shake hands. Later at night Knuckles went to see Hawking but can't find him.

"Archimedes, where's Hawking?" Knuckles asked."

"Oh, uh, he's resting right now. he'll talk to you later don't forget, he's old," Archimedes replied."

"I see," Knuckles said." Then I better go see if mom's ok."

He heads to Lara-le's house where he sees the kid echidna playing with Chomps.

"Knuckles, come and join us for dinner," Lara-le said."

The male echidna comes in with dinner and sets it on the table.

"Ah, Knuckles we haven't fully met, my name is Wynmacher but my friends call me Wyn," Wyn said."

"Nice to meet you, and who's the squirt?" Knuckles asked."

"My name is Kneecapeon Mace, but my friends call me Mace," Mace replied."

After dinner.

"So, mom, is Wyn a friend?" Knuckles asked."

"Actually Knuckles, Wyn is my husband and Mace is your brother," Lara-le replied."

"Like a stepbrother?" Knuckles asked."

Lara shakes her head. Knuckles gently puts down his silverware.

"Thanks for dinner, I'll be out getting some air," Knuckles said."

He gets up and leaves.

"Knuckles!" Lara-le said."

"Give him time dear," Wyn said."

Mace looks sad. Meanwhile, the chaotix and Julie-su were walking around town.

"So, you and folks are adjusting to your new home?" Vector said."

"Yeah, we just finished unpacking," Julie-su replied."

Knuckles comes running past them.

"Was that Knuckles?" Charmy asked."

"Yeah, it was," Saffron replied."

"He seemed upset," Ray said."

"I'll check on him, I'll see you later," Julie-su said."

At a pear, Knuckles is sitting there looking at the moon until Julie-su shows up.

"I'm not in the mood to talk," Knuckles said."

"I can tell," Julie-su said as she sits next to him."

"You don't listen, do you?" Knuckles asked."

"Nope," Julie-su replied."

"Whatever, i'm just clearing my head right now," Knuckles said as Julie-su suddenly kissed his cheek surprising him.

"What did you do that for?! I'm not even sure if I like you that way," Knuckles said."

"Relax, it was a thank you for saving my family," Julie-su said."

"Oh, well, you're welcome, just don't do that again," Knuckles said." (Thinking)' Even though it felt nice for some reason.'

"Don't worry, it won't happen again," Julie-su said." (Thinking)' Funny, I feel like doing it again.'

"Knuckles," Mace said."

Knuckles and Julie-su turn round to see Mace on Chomps back.

"Mace, what are you doing out here this late?" Knuckles asked."

"I had Chomps follow your scent," Mace replied." And I wanted to tell you that I'm happy."

"About what?" Knuckles asked."

"That I finally get to meet my big brother," Mace replied." You see, when mom first told me about you and your job being guardian I didn't believe at first, but after you saved mom, dad, and me along with both cities I can tell she was right. I know it's shocking to have a stepdad and a half-brother, but she was hoping to be part of your life and make up for lost times and I know you do too.

Hearing that, Knuckles has a flashback of himself as a baby as Lara-le plays with him calling him her little guardian. He gets up, walks to Mace and puts his hand on his head.

"Thank you, Little brother, you are really something," Knuckles said." And you'll need a good teacher."

Mace smiles and hugs Knuckles.

"I'm glad you feel better Knux, just don't be like my brother," Julie-su said."

"Thanks, Julie-su, come on Mace let's get you home," Knuckles said."

"Bye big sis, see you around," Mace said as he, Knuckles and Chomps leave as Julie-su waves goodbye.

"Wait, did he just call me big sis?" Julie-su asked."

At Lara-le's home,

Knuckles, Mace, and Chomps walk in.

"Mace, where have you been you should be out this late," Lara-le said."

"Sorry, I wanted to talk to big bro," Mace said."

(Sighs)" Just get ready for bed," Lara-le said."

Mace gets ready for bed leaving Knuckles alone with Lara-le.

"Knuckles?" Lara-le said."

Knuckles suddenly gives her a surprise hug.

"I really missed you mom and I want you in my life along with Wyn and Mace," Knuckles said as a tear falls off his face.

(Hugging with tears coming from her face)" Me too sweety, no matter how old you get you'll always be my little guardian," Lara-le said."

In the kitchen, Wyn overhears and smiles knowing things worked out. Outside Locke sees this and smiles.

"Maybe father was right, I can't keep him away from his mother," Locke said as he disappears when a truck drives by.

Elsewhere in a forest at a dark legion camp, Kragok is kneeling towards another echidna.

"Grandfather, Julie-su fully betrayed us," Kragok said."

"No worries Kragok, (showing a dark emerald) with this emerald I found when we returned both echidnaopolis and the dingos' will fall to us," the echidna said." Besides our spy will keep us informed."

"Yes sir," Kragok said."
