Another morning, another alarm clock at 6:20, another Shikamaru waking up with no desire at all and another well slept night, I think I'll switch the sex schedule to late afternoon because this eight-hour sleep thing feels good.
- Good morning guys- I say as I get to the kitchen ready for breakfast, there are only three of us here today, Sasuke didn't spend the night at home- Shoji, are we going to practice together?
- Good morning!- they answer together still half asleep.
- Of course we are. I'm out of here for twenty minutes. By the way, do you know why we have training if tomorrow is a rest day?
- I believe it's because the game against the Bearcats is near and they are a few points behind us. - I answer when I am about to finish eating.
- There is still a whole week of training left. We could have three days off instead of two. I wanted to enjoy being with Karui.- he says with a sad look and a pout on his face.
- Wouldn't you settle for two? I really understand the coach now, this girlfriends thing just distracts your mind from the game. - I say as I put the dishes on the sink to be washed.
- No way I'm washing these dishes for you. - Kiba grumbles as he finishes washing his plate and I'm forced to sigh and wash what I got dirty.
- You know not everyone likes to date every possible woman like you do. I bet when you find someone you love you won't want anything else. - Shoji replies to my accusation when I'm already wiping my hands on the kitchen towel.
- Maybe, who knows? A shame I won't be here when that happens. - and after the comment I go upstairs to finish tidying up. I go downstairs with everything ready and leave with Shoji for practice passing by Naruto's house to pick him up.
- Good morning little flowers! Time to wake up, let's do the 30 laps around the field followed by 50 push-ups, sit-ups and burpees, today the training has to be worth for two because tomorrow you're resting! - the coach shouts as soon as we get to the field and then the whistle sounds to start the training.
- So, you're all set for the party? I bet you already have some women in mind. – James the idiot asks me. I'm not the example of the perfect man, but I have the minimum of decency that James doesn't have.
- It doesn't work that way. Women are not a target, let alone another name to have on the list. Unlike you, I don't force anyone to do what they don't want to do. I've already warned you, the next time I see you doing something stupid with a woman I won't be as nice as the first time. - I don't give him time to respond and just run faster so I don't have to hear any more barbarities coming out of that mouth.
- So Naruto, excited for the party? - I ask when I get close to him.
- Of course I am. Any Kiba party is amazing, even more with my girlfriend, there's going to be karaoke so I'm hoping to hear her sing, I love her voice. - he says with his usual passionate face and I just roll my eyes.
- I should have known that conversations with you and Shoji always end up on the same topic, your precious girlfriends. I'm sick of hearing both their names.
- And we're sick and tired of hearing you mumble. Or in my case of hearing a different woman every day moaning in your room. - Shoji says after coming over to us.
- If you ask nicely, I'll do it in the living room, or in the kitchen maybe.
- No thanks, I think I'll sleep at Karui's house so I won't have to put up with you guys.- he makes a disgusted face and when we're on the last lap we hear the coach mumbling to Sasuke. He was out all night and none of us are sure where, we look at Naruto who just denied it to tell us he wasn't at his house.
- My sister didn't sleep at home yesterday either, she told me she went to sleep at a colleague's house but after this I really doubt it- the blonde replies and looks suspiciously at his best friend, we all know Naruto doesn't approve of the relationship but they haven't even done anything serious yet, at least not that I know of.
- Naruto, you can't be angry because they are together. It's their life and they have total freedom to do whatever they did last night. - I reply in an attempt to reason with him, but to no avail.
- And what do you know about it, you don't care enough about people for that. I know both of you and I know it won't end well, when I have to choose a side, it will be me who will suffer. - he answers contrarily when we start the push-ups.
- That's where you're wrong. Yes, I protect my cousin from the dangers of Sai because I know her, but I also know that I can't stop her from going out with him. And I'm not meddling in my sister's life- at this point Naruto and Shoji look at me with a raised eyebrow- Okay okay, maybe I am, but it's different. Your sister is old enough to choose who she wants to be with and who she wants to have relationships with of any kind, my sister is too young to even think about such things.
- You do know that next year she's studying here, don't you? Maybe she'll become like you and start having sex with every being of the opposite sex inside the school. - Shoji said between giggles and heavy breaths.
- She better not even think about it, Mirai will be pure until her wedding day. - I reply as I lie down to do my abs being followed by the rest.
- Yes, dream on, I thought it was going to be like that with mine too, things aren't always as we plan. - Uzumaki laments.
- Well, as you say, they also have freedom, if we can date several before marriage so can they. In fact, if all women saved themselves for marriage, we wouldn't have any fun. - Shoji says.
- You're right, after all women deserve to have fun too, and it takes two to tango doesn't it?! - I say as we start the burpees and the sentence is followed by a set of laughs.
- OK little flowers, five minutes rest and you can do it all again. Minus you Uchiha, you're going to spend the rest of the training session running around the pitch. - and so follows the coach's whistle as we move off to get a drink of water, something tells me today's training session is going to be less about football and more about getting us dead.
- I think I'm dead, I'm going to spend the afternoon sleeping so I can stay awake at the party.- Choji laments as he slumps on the bench completely exhausted from training.
- I agree, I don't think I need any sleep in the afternoon because I'm going to take a nap in business marking class.- I say as I start to take off my clothes to shower.
- I'm glad I'm going to keep you company then- Sai taps my shoulder and I know well that of all the company in that class I'm the one he cares the least about, the company he wants has a big blonde ponytail.
- You're not fooling anyone, even I know your favourite part of the class is Ino- Naruto steps into the conversation and takes the words out of my mouth.
- Okay, okay I surrender, you guys are right. But what can I say? I really like your cousin and I want to move forward somehow, maybe this party is what it takes to break down the wall that separates us- Sai tells me without fear of dying, but from the look in his eyes I understand he's being honest and maybe the conversation I had with the boys is true, Ino is grown up enough to make her own decisions and if they think they are the right people for each other who am I to stop them?
- Look, you do whatever you want, but don't break my cousin's heart. If you love each other stay together, but don't regret it later- I say and get into the shower to get the sweat off my body and get ready for class.
After getting ready I went to get my stuff for class with teacher Turner until I spot Sasuke- Hey, do you want to go out for lunch today? Ino is going with her friends and Naruto and Choji are going with their girlfriends. I thought maybe you and Kiba and I could go.
- That's fine with me, I'll ask the dreamy if he wants to go too- he replies and we both start laughing at the nickname Kiba hates.
- Ok so we meet at home and then go out for lunch somewhere.
And so off I go to class, as expected Ino was already next to Sai and I fell asleep in the middle of class. I'm lucky I'm good at this subject. Although it's not my passion I've always had an easy time with accounts and management so I think I'm ready for a position in my father's company and in the future be his successor.
After another lesson accompanied by my cousin of applied economy I could finally go home with the boys, we took the opportunity to rest because the night promises. We decided to go to the Italian restaurant near our house for lunch and when one o'clock came we left the house to finally go for lunch.
- So, my boys, do you have everything ready for later. You know we're going to spend the afternoon preparing the house for the party, don't you?! - Kiba asks rhetorically when we finish placing our orders.
- You're lucky I don't have anything better to do. But I need at least half an hour to get ready, this Uchiha's style doesn't come naturally.- Sasuke answers.
- I agree with him - I say and drink a sip of water, if I'm going to spend the night drinking beer and other alcoholic drinks, I have to drink water now or my body will notice the difference, keeping the physique is not easy.
- You have time, the party is only at nine, we still have dinner and then you have all the time in the world to get charming. I need a lot more than half an hour, Kiba's style doesn't do it by himself either – he reassures us.
After the happy and calm lunch, we went straight home to tidy up. Kika's parties are the best but they are a lot of work. We arranged everything, sound equipment, lights, decoration, tables to put the drinks and snacks, among others. Of course, we were also careful to remove any important objects that could be stolen or broken and we all know that we have to lock the room if we don't want anything to happen there.
When we finally had everything tidied up we sat on the sofa watching TV in our living room. Our house is quite large, it has four bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and living room which makes an ideal space for parties because it is so easy to move around. Like any man's house it is simple and in neutral tones but each of the rooms has the touch of each of us, downstairs is only Choji's room and the other three are upstairs. Kiba and Choji are privileged enough to have an ensuite but I share a bathroom with Sasuke, not that I have anything to complain about, there is enough room for both of us and a double sink that allows us to get ready at the same time.
- Sasuke where the hell did you spend the night?- Kiba asks the question that has been bothering everyone, a few minutes after we start a movie.
- Ah, eh, I spent the night with Sakura in a tent- he says embarrassed- Please don't say anything to Naruto, you know how he is with these things. But I swear it was magical, I've never felt that way with anyone. Watching the stars with her lying with her head on my chest was the best feeling in the world. It was like I belonged there, I belonged to her.
- And was this star-gazing before or after the wonderful sex?- I ask with a wicked smile as I see my friend in love.
- We haven't done any of that yet, Shikamaru, and I honestly don't feel the need. Being with her, I feel that just her presence is enough, of course I also think about doing that, I'm a human being after all, but I don't want to rush anything, I want it to be perfect, like her.
- Seeing you in love like this is weird, you look like someone else. But do you think tonight will be the night your dry spell ends?
- I doubt it!- Sasuke sighs sadly- You know how Naruto is with his sister. If they are in the same environment, I won't be able to enjoy the party as I would like. Even without the sex part Naruto will be hanging around us all the time and when he sees a kiss between us he will explode!- he says with a sad look on his face and I feel I need to cheer him up.
- My dad used to tell me "One day you'll leave this world behind, so live a life you will remember". My father told me when I was just a child "These are the nights that never die". So, enjoy and have fun, think of nothing but your happiness for once, and Naruto will understand that he's not the boss of his sister- I pat Sasuke's shoulder to try and comfort him. He thanks me with a look and a smile and we go back to watching the movie we had stopped.
After the light dinner, a few simple sandwiches with chicken always on a healthy basis, Choji arrived and we went to get ready for the party. With the exception of Kiba, we all dressed in simple and classic clothes of our style, personally, I'm wearing black trousers and a white shirt, something basic but that enhances my muscular body, and of course my hair has to be perfect and the perfume of Dolche & Gabbana never leaves my body, I even have a bottle in my training bag just to use after showering, I believe that smells define people so I never lose mine.
Choji was in a style close to mine, just in different colours and Naruto will probably keep up with our pattern. Sasuke wears his much-loved baggy jeans and one of his distinctive T-shirts. But of course, the star is Kiba, the party thrower wears one of his mega stylish ensembles, this time in shades of black and neon green.
- Get ready because the people are about to arrive. And you know if you don't want any bad luck close your rooms- Kiba says as he checks his hair in the mirror next to the stairs.
- Don't worry we all know that and everything is already closed. - I reassure him.
Twenty minutes later the party was already pumping. The loud music filled my ears and I had a cup of beer in my hand while I tried to chat with my team mates and our friends.
- Aren't you with your girlfriend? Or did you finally break up?- Jack, the team defender, asks Naruto.
- Of course not! She went to get ready with her friends. Right Choji? - the blonde defends himself.
- It's true, my girlfriend is with them.
- Believe me, the day they break up the world ends, I've never seen a couple like them! - I answer Jack to reassure him and to reassure Naruto even more, he really loves Hinata.
- And Ino, where is she? - Sai asks not discreetly at all.
- She is getting ready with her friends, they should be here soon- I say and realise that the Tema she refers to so much, like when she told me she was spending the afternoon at her place, must be short for Temari. If she's friends with Sasuke, Ino and Kiba there's no way we've never seen each other.
- Hi my love!- Hinata comes in with everything and goes to give Naruto a kiss, it doesn't even seem like they were together not even two hours ago. Along with her came Sakura, who quickly greeted Sasuke while her brother was distracted by the kiss, and Konan and Karui who, despite not being students for three years now, are always invited.
- How about we enjoy the party? I came here to dance and not to see my group of friends standing around.- Konan comments with her usual energy and before we know it, we're all being pulled onto the makeshift dance floor and soon start dancing together. Personally, I'm not the best dancer, but with a few sips of beer already kicking in and the energy of my friends I manage.
We're all laughing when we hear the door slam and an extremely beautiful and groomed Ino walks in. I think I could see the drool running down the corner of Sai's mouth and the fury in Tamaki's eyes as she didn't want to draw attention to herself. Along with my cousin are two of her friends, Tamaki and Rin, a girl I recognise from parties called Tenten and another who must be that Temari girl. My God she is beautiful. I recognize her from the few times I've seen her, but only passing by, I don't know how I never noticed her, maybe because she never wears clothes like that. If her personality is as good as her body I won't be able to keep the promise I made to Kiba.
- Good morning people, the party is in full swing today! - Ino announces when she arrives near us.
- Ino keep your voice down! And it's nine o'clock at night, there's no good morning about it- says an irritated Tamaki- Honestly, don't you know how to enter anywhere without making a scandal?
- Sorry my love, it's just in my blood.- my cousin replies and she throws her hair back with her hand and has a smug look on her face - Well, I believe you all know each other, but for Naruto and Shikamaru who probably don't know her very well, this is Temari.- she introduces the beauty who just waves her hand and gives a weak and embarrassed smile followed by a very quiet goodnight. From what little I've heard she has the voice of an angel, I can't wait to hear more. And gee, her smell is amazing, it's sweet but not cloying, exotic but not too much, it's only hers, I don't think I'll ever pass by this smell without recognizing it.
- Well, I was just going to get some beers, do you want some?- Tenten asks and gets an affirmative answer from her friends- Then come with me please Tema, I can't bring all of them alone.
I stare at her as they walk away and those trousers are perfect on all her curves. Everyone goes back to dancing and the lively conversations between friends fill my ears as background noise. My mind only thinks of one thing, her. And I'm afraid I can't let go of that thought so soon.
Toxic friendships are a real problematic, my goal with this story will never be to make it sound like something positive. If you support any story that glorifies this problem you can stop reading mine.
