Prompt:
Amy, having been thrown into a battle against Metal Amy, suddenly swung to see her hammer miss it's target as Metal Amy flew up and landed up on higher ground.
Glaring down with red, robotic eyes… she glared before a few robots came thrashing out from around her,…
"An ambush?" Amy looked around, and smirked. "This just got interesting! Alright, whose first?"
She seemed very confident, as a robot thumped it's mighty, steel foot down and made her slightly loose her balance. "W-woah!" She wobbled a bit, before one from behind lifted their gun up, and fired.
Before it could hit her though, she spun around and guarded with her hammer, taking the bullets before the other robots started closing in while she was distracted.
"Shoot!" She cried out, looking behind her as the robot prepared to fire…
Metal Amy's eyes narrowed, as if anticipating her final defeat before…
"Ammmyyy!"
"Huh? Sonic?"
Charging in, Sonic jumped in the air, before curling up and spinning onto all the robots in a circle. Homing attacking here and there, they suddenly all exploded or fell over, but the one shooting at Amy stopped firing and stepped back.
Sonic uncurled and landed by her, as she looked over with a thankful smile.
"You're right on time! But seriously, why'd you wait so long? And besides, I could have had them." she lightly teased, posing behind his back to get ready for the next wave of Maria Robotnik's minions..
Sonic rubbed under his nose, closing his eyes a moment as he stated, "I just wanted to get you alone…"
He looked back at her with a wink, as she slightly looked exasperated by his flirting.
"Sonic… try to keep your intentions on saving the world." she lightly groaned out, but Sonic just grinned widely.
The robot seemed to blink on and off it's eye-lights, as if showing stimulated surprise before holding his gun back to them.
"Oh no!" Sonic stepped back, looking a bit worried as he put his hands up to try and defend himself.
"Hey! You're not apart of this conversation!" Amy took her hammer and threw it at the robot. It ricocheted off and she jumped; catching it again, she threw it right back at him with even more force.
The powerful move made the robot fall back, malfunctioning from such strong impacts.
She landed on one hand and bended feet before stylishly leaving her hand gripping her hammer up in the air, and got up.
She put a hand to her hip, "That'll show him not to interrupt."
Sonic swooned in the background, putting his hands together and up by the side of his face, seeming to fall for her all over again.
Suddenly, though, Metal Amy went ballistic.
Realizing Amy hadn't been destroyed yet, she flew down and swooped Sonic up, jetting off.
"Ammmyyy!" Sonic flailed his arms around, mini-tears springing out of his eyes.
"Sonic!" Amy held a serious look in her face as she charged after Metal Sonic.
"Let him go, you bucket of bolts!" she cried out, gritting her teeth as she held her hammer tightly with both hands.
'If I throw my hammer, I might hit Sonic!' she worried, thinking things through for once until she heard a plane engine in the distance.
"Ah! Tails!"
"Amy!" Tails waved to her, and zoomed down, "You'll need these!" From his plane, the Chaos Emeralds fell out and quickly moved around her.
"Thanks, little buddy." she grinned, regaining her confidence as she sped forward. "Now you're gonna pay!"

Maria, watching from her lair, slammed her fist down on the control pad. "Blast that hedgehog!" she cried out, her teenage body twitching at the pain her robotic part of her mind couldn't pick up on.
"She's ruining everything! This earth is going to die under the oppression of it's inhabitants! If I become Queen of the planet, then I can truly preserve the beauty of this world! She wouldn't understand… She doesn't know what it's like to be apart from your home… your world! My grandfather died to give me the chance to survive my incurable blood!" she swung herself around, before gripping her head.
Memories swarmed back and threatened the old Maria to take control…
Shadow had his head lowered, eyes closed, and arms folded behind her.
He slowly raised them up when he sensed a change in her behavior…
He had always hoped she could win over her metallic mind… but that didn't seem to be the case.
But he couldn't lose her…
Maria loosened the grip on her head, a wicked and deranged smile on her face replaced rage and anguish as she lightly stroked her hair down and looked lovingly to her grandfather's creation.
"Shadow…"
He frowned deeper, ducking his head more, and narrowing his eyes to her.
She walked in an almost alluring way over to him, swinging herself slightly side to side as if she were a woman.
She bent down and put her hand on his cheek… then up to his head… and looped it around his ear.
"You… you're blood cured my disease… you are my grandfather's pride… and my joy." she tilted her head, stroking his quills as he looked away, his frown lessened.
"Heh. You are the ultimate lifeform. And that's why I have to keep you close… you keep me safe." she leaned forward and lightly kissed his forehead, before walking over to a fridge, reeling in a bit of pain and gripping her stomach.
"Ugh! Without you…" she huffed, growing weak before opening the fridge and pulling one vile out of thousands of them from it.
He heard the cork open and flinched, before looking to see her inhumanly chug stab her arm with the injection of his blood into hers.
She laughed lightly, feeling the healing come. "Without you… I wouldn't be here."
Her smile was insanity… he turned away, gripping his own arm.
Orbot and Cubot quickly stormed into the room. "Ma'am! It's Amy Rose!" Cubot blurted out, in a panic.
"She's turned super and is destroying Metal Amy!" Orbot quickly gestured in his own sense of haste.
"What?!" She flung herself around, before the real Maria was starting to break through and she gripped her head again.
"Ughh… g-get… Shadow… t-to safety… Don't… l-let her… h-h-er… hurt him…"
It was Maria!
"Maria..!" Shadow quickly turned around, eyes widened.
She looked up, crying as her hair hair drooped over her face, only showing some of her pain and anguish torn face.
"You… You're letting h-her… hurt you… t-to-to keep me alive… Why Shadow..? End this now S-Shadow… End this… Now.." she suddenly had her body give out on her, falling to the ground as her head slowly shot back.
Shadow sped up and caught her, gripping her in his own tears.
"I… I can't." he jammed his jaw shut, but his teeth were bare.
"..I'll defeat Amy Rose… if that means you can have the Earth you've always wanted."
His tears landed upon her fainted face, as Orbot and Cubot looked to each other.
"…Would she really want this world… like this?" Orbot suggested, seeing the pain this was causing for his master.
Shadow's eyes glared a death threat and the robots shivered and clang to themselves.
"Don't question me or my resolves…" he lifted her up in his arms, bridal style. "Give me the coordinates to where Amy lies… I'll deal with her myself… And make sure Maria receives her doses on schedule." he walked her like a dark knight to her room, setting her down on her bed.
"She'll wake up upset…" he lightly put the back-end of his fingers against her face… stroking downward in consideration for her.
"…Don't let her wake up crying..."
He blasted off then down the hallway, skating with a vengeance against Amy Rose…
He had to direct his frustrations somewhere…

"My Heroine!" Sonic swooned and wrapped his arms around Super Amy, as she shyly leaned back and sweat dropped.
In the air, she looked back over at Tails flying around her. "Thanks for the aerial support, Tails." she winked to praise him while Sonic happily closed his eyes and remained smiling cheerfully in her arms.
"Not a problem, Amy!" Tails thumbs up, "What are best friends for?"
Metal Amy twitched on the ground, before Shadow stepped up to it, and smashed her head.
Chords flew out in every direction, before he also powered up into Super form, and rose into the air.
"We settle this now, Amy Rose." he glared. "If Maria is to have peace… I must grant her the world she's always longed for…"
Amy glared towards him. "She's imprisoned in her Grandfather's stupid attempt at preserving her life, Shadow. You're blood only helps her not die quicker, but she's already been in great pain and dying inside her mind for a long time! You think you're saving her… you're only killing her more! And breaking her heart!"
Shadow's eyes twitched and he suddenly threw his arms up, powering up a huge blast in his hand that only kept growing bigger and wider by the second…
"I won't have you judging my decisions…!"
"It's not your decision to make! It's Maria's!"
"Maria is mine to protect!" he threw the ginormous, chaos energy ball at her, as she threw Sonic to Tails as he passed by one last time around her and flew the plane off.
Sonic landed safely, but threw his hand out to her off from the plane as it flew away.
"Ammmyyy!"
Amy powered herself even more, gathering her strength before summoning a large, glowing, shining hammer of gold.
"This ends here! I'm freeing Maria!"
She slammed her hammer as hard as she could at the energy ball, straining by it's force, as it pushed her back slightly but she was able to put a spin on it and send it flying back at him.
"This is the world she loves! And I'm going to defend it! Even if that means cutting off her life support…You, Shadow!"
His eyes widened, as his hands moved to defend himself. "Im…Impossible!"
The blast engulfed him as he cried out.

Maria watched the screen, her former self still present as she swung, threw, and shook her head down.
"No… No, SHAAAADDOOOOWW!" she cried out, tears overcoming her as she watched sparkling light replace his once existing being as the energy ball burst into life source for the whole of the area around it.
Orbot and Cubot looked to each other, then to the fridge with all the blood.
"Together." Orbot stated, nodding.
"R-right." Cubot nodded, seeing as they knew what they needed to do.
They moved over to the fridge as Maria was crying into her hands, before looking up and seeing the two position themselves behind it.
They looked at her.
She smiled through her tears.. and nodded.
"Q-quickly… b-before she comes back…"
"Grandmother?"
Maria turned around, shocked.
Her eyes shook as a young, red-headed boy holding a blanket and mini-glasses on his head, a large nose came out from the other room.
"What…" his face sudden came under realization.
He dropped his blanket, "NOOO!"
"Ivo…" Maria suddenly was possessed again by the Metallic side of her brain.
She flinched and her hands soared up to her arched head. "AHHH!"
She turned to the robots, "NOOO!"
"Quickly! It's her last wish!" Orbot shouted out, as Cubot and him pushed the refrigerator over.
"Grandma's medicine!"
The entirety of Shadow's blood was spilled in it's viles to the floor.
the robots moved back, as the boy's hands and knees fell into the blood, shaking as he knew what this meant…
His mother…
Was going to die soon.
"AHHHH!" Maria's robotic part of her sparked in fury, but the blood short circuited her and Maria fell.
"Grandma!" Ivo Robotnik quickly ran over to her, his pajama's still covered in Shadow's blood…
He knelt by her side.
Maria, coming too, looked up to him and cupped his face.
"I… wasn't always a cyborg…" she coughed a moment, before breathing heavily. "I married… had a family… Like I always wanted. Back then… S-Shadow would take care of us.. Happy to help out… B-but then…" she flinched. "The government came… they wanted my Grandfather's works… I didn't want them to ruin the life I had created with my husband and your mother… and Shadow… that's when… they shot me as they did my Grandfather.. and killed my husband… They took your mother away from me… Shadow… He did the unthinkable… and once they were killed…" she coughed again.
"Grandma…" Ivo teared up, his tears forming around his glasses rims.
Her hand dropped to her stomach, "He used the last of my Grandfather's technology, thinking he could save me… but I… I was too far gone… the metallic processing took a life of it's own…. it possessed me…" she looked back up at her grandson. crying with a smile.
"Your Grandma's been very, very bad… Ivo… you mustn't become like me…"
"Her vital signs… they'll be here for another few hours." Orbot deduced, remembering she had just taken the shot not too long ago. "We should.." he looked to Cubot, who nodded.
"Leave them be…" Orbot turned around, as Cubot waved.
"Goodbye master…"
Ivo's whole body began to twitch in rage, his head down.
"No…" he gripped his bloody pajamas.
"I won't let it go…"
Maria opened her eyes, in her weariness, you could still see the pain of fear there.
"I WILL KILL AMY ROSE THE HEDGEHOG! AND I'LL TAKE OVER THE WORLD FOR YOU, GRANDMA! AND SHADOW! AND MAMA!" Ivo Robotnik shouted out, gripping his hands up in the air and crying profusely.
"I SWEAR IT! I'll become the greatest evil mastermind the world has ever seen… I'll take back this world you love so much! Back from those dirty beast and those who DARE call themselves humans!"
"Ivo… n-no…" Maria was passing out.
"I'LL RID THIS WORLD OF THEM! Mark my words grandmother… You… and Shadow… Daddy…Mama… Grandpa and Great Grandpa… THEY'LL ALL BE AVENGED!"
Maria's true age started to catch up with her. Shadow gave her immortality to a decree, but now her body was rapidly aging, withering away.
"N-no… Ivo… Don't… Don't…" she began to grow thin.
With each passing Hour… she gave him words of wisdom… but growing senile quickly, Ivo Robotnik simply stayed by her side and took care of her the last remaining time, giving her words of wisdom no mind, until the Robotic side came back, and told him how to operate the machines, how to find building prints for her robots, and most importantly…
How to kill Amy Rose.
(This made me tear up and get emotional a bit x'D Hope you liked it! Dr. Eggman begins in this AU story :) )
