Prompt!(Boom) Knuckles and Sonic get into an argument on who's braver than the other, causing Knuckles to bet Sonic that if he kisses Amy by the sunset at the end of the week, then Sonic would be the winner! BUT..will Sonic have the courage to even ATTEMPT it? (Being the impulsive child he is, he blindly accepted the challenge without thinking, so he HAS to do it, unless he wants to wear a dress for a month..WHICH WILL TOTALLY RUIN HIS STREET CRED BRUH)

I don't want to do a kiss! lol xD but I suppose I can do SOMETHING, but I don't think it will be very canon, but I'll try and keep the characters in-character.

(Here we go then!)

Knuckles and Sonic place bets on one another, agreeing before hearing the dare as they're determined to prove they are the braver one.

"You have to go around eating different tribes's native cuisines and swallow them hole! I'd say… 10 would suffice. You talk tough, but let's see how brave you are when you're precious stomach is on the line!" Sonic states, as Knuckles's face grows grave and he frowns, having blue anime lines down his face in his disgust at hearing his dare.

"Ah…grr… fine! Then you have to kiss a girl before the sunsets! Haha, and we all know how disgusting that is! But only the brave can truly swipe something so precious to such young and lovely hearts~" Knuckles teases, as Sonic literally looks like he's just been thrown into a black hole.

"A kiss?! W-we-well, th-that's not a problem, ha! I'm a well-known hero, remember?!" He pokes Knuckles's chest. "I-I-I mean, girls are just dying to jump at my feet! This should be a cinch!" Sonic fakes a boastful rep, as he's terrified of losing his street cred at being called 'a romantic' or 'a lover, not a fighter' or anything else with mushy, gushy, love stuff!

"Ohhh… you think I'm letting you off easy, eh?~" Knuckles smirks, raising an eyebrow and folding his arms, before snickering. "Alright, blue. Then you have to kiss a girl who knows the REAL you. One I know for a FACT wouldn't let you kiss her so easily." he closed his eyes with a sinister smile. "AMY!" He points dramatically to where Amy is, who is far off in the distance, hanging out and talking with Sticks on some tree stumps as Sticks runs around, looking like she's in the middle of a wild story again.

The camera dramatically zooms onto Amy's sweet face, before cutting and zooming in on Sonic's terrified expression.

"A-A-AMY!?" he stumbles on his words, gripping his head. 'Of all the girls! Why her!? The one only girl I don't want heart broken by me…'

Knuckles leans down and nudges him, "So? Backing out already, TOUGH. GUY?"

Sonic twitched, hearing the mock as his ear flicked towards Knuckles's words a bit. "You're on, Red Ranger." he glared, smiling. "And I can't WAIT to see you're chickened out face when you realize you're insides are twisting and your face is turning green from those FINE dining you're going to have tonight!"

The two lock hands in agreement, and head off, as Sonic pauses, freaking out at what he just accepted…

As he tries to woo Amy all day, Knuckles is rearing to go before his 6th tribe, where he literally is clutching his stomach at seeing a JUST died pig on it's back being slapped onto a plate, flies all around it, and the pig still covered in mud, as they place it down for Knuckles, smiling. He covers his mouth and runs off to barf, as the camera cuts to Sonic at sunset with Amy, as time has clearly passed.

"Wow, I have to admit Sonic, I wasn't expecting you to ever ask me out so… boldly like that before. Teehee~ I'm really impressed! Ah, in a good way I mean! N-not like I thought you were to cowardly or something!" she looked down and blushed, before reaching that embarrassing moment and shaking her hands out, not wanting to offend him, and then started fiddling with her hair.

'Cute! Why does she have to be so innocently cute! I'm only here to play her off till I get the kiss! This isn't fair! I'm a monster!' Sonic looks away, freaking out and biting his nails at breaking Amy's heart…

"Uh… A-Amy listen… there's something I need to-" As Sonic turns around, Amy looks out at the sunset and smiles so tenderly out towards it, her eyes softening as the wind blows against her hair, and completely silences Sonic.

"You know… I'm really glad. I never thought you would see me in any way besides a friend… so… " she covers her face, blushing. "Sorry! Is this weird? I'm just… really happy, I guess! Ahh! No, this is embarrassing! Why am I saying all this so suddenly!" she worries, as Sonic blushes a little.

'C-c-… so cute!' he looks away.

"A-Amy, I might have… uh… stated something to Knuckles and um, well, this isn't-" before he could kinda confess to her this was a lie, she leaned over and reached up, on her tippy toes, and gave him a soft and light kiss, just barely any pressure on his lips, before shying away.

"T-thank you for the date!" she raced off, bright red and fidgeting a moment before, as a comedic 'wehit-wehit-woo!' sound effect aided her departure's suddeness.

Sonic blinked a moment and put a hand on his lips, before freaking out and covering his mouth with his hand, sweating buckets as his eyes shook.

He didn't even need to 'steal it' from her. But now… what did she think of 'them' now!? He didn't want a relationship! but that kiss… that was so soft and gentle… he barely felt it…

He removed his hand and frowned, looking disappointed as he bobbed his head to the side and looked up a moment, pouting.

(Maybe he really did want a legit kiss after all?)

Sonic and Knuckles met up as Knuckles was ready to kneel over, but Sonic gave him the right to be known as the bravest, as Sonic felt that it wasn't really him that went for the kiss anyway… He was willing to back out to spare Amy's feelings… but he thought maybe one day… he wouldn't have to feel he needed to 'spare' them. Maybe one day… he can really be a man and give her that proper kiss!

He gagged after thinking that and laughed, and helped Knuckles get home safely.
