MODERN Sonamy prompt! Okay, SOO I'M GONNA GIVE YOU A HARD ONE~ Sonic and the gang are at a final battle with an evil sorceress. Everything seemed to be coming to an end, until the woman struck Amy with a deadly curse that knocks her out! Only an act of true love can save her now!(*cough* mwah *cough*) And who's the one to do it? Well, Tails and Knux definitely put Sonic on the spot! What will he do?!

NOOO! NOT HARD ONES! lol, they hurt my head T-T

They're usually hard for three reasons, 1. they may not be canon, 2. characters may be off, and 3. it's just not plausible.

So, I usually change some things around with the prompt to try and do my BEST at making it decent, but most of the time, I can never quite hit canon with them.

This is hard only in that 'you're expecting the kiss' and come on, you guys know me, I also throw the curve ball and leave you with something that makes you surprised in the end. (hopefully, with a 'awww~' at the end too XD)

So, with that, here we go!

"I won't let you hurt my friends!" Amy leaps forward, her hammer up and ready to strike before the sorceress wearing a long robe and sleeves that flow down to her sides raises them up and starts a chant of some unknown words.

From her sleeves, seeming to contain a void of darkness within them, a green mist spreads forth and wraps around Amy, entering into her system and causes her to fall and falter in her attack.

"Amy!" the team races forward as Knuckles is able to sneak up on the sorceress and knock her out.

Her form turns to dust with being defeated at last, as Amy wobbles, trying to get up, before falling again.

"Oh no! That magic must of gotten into Amy! There has to be a way to lure it out though…" Tails starts looking up things on his communicator watch, as Sonic catches her from falling backwards, and helps her lay down, holding her.

"Hey, stay with me, Amy. Come on. I know you, you're not one to let some pixie dust spoil your day." Sonic tries to keep the mood light, holding her and growing increasingly worried as she blinks her eyes, seeming about ready to pass out.

"It's… it's blurry." she states.

"Hey, that's just cause I'm moving fast." Sonic lightly chuckles, but is only trying to keep her from panicking. "Hey, woah. Amy? Stay with me. Don't close your eyes, AMY!" she ends up falling into a deep sleep and letting her head roll into him, leaning against his chest. "Oh no… Amy…" Sonic's ears move back, worried…

"Ah-ha! Here we go! An act of true love usually breaks a sleeping spell. Huh, that's kinda odd. How would you know it's true love if the person is sleeping and isn't there to even state if they thought it was or not." Tails pondered out loud, as Sonic just looked back to him quickly, before looking to Amy.

"I don't think that's the point, Tails. They're not the judge." Sonic helps get Amy a little more up towards him.

Sticks helps open the jar of winds to suck up the dust and trap the evil sorceress as she then runs to Amy, and falls to her knees. "No! Amy!.. I.. I will find this 'love' of which they speak, and get it confirmed real, and then give it to you! I swear!" Sticks looks ready to run off as Knuckles stops her with his arm, as she tries to keep moving her legs forward and stretching her arms out over it.

"Woah, woah, calm down there, Sticks. I think you're missing the concept of 'love' here… Hey, why don't we find Amy's 'prince charming' and-"

"Don't be dumb, Knuckles." Sonic looks to him, unamused, and back at Amy. "We wouldn't even know where to start."

All eyes turn to Sonic.

"…W-what? W-wh-why are you all looking at me like that!? I'm no prince!" he cries out, seeing they're all staring at him.

"Well, yeah… but.." Knuckles is holding Sticks under his armpit as she keeps trying to get away, and casually scratches his head. "What else do we have?"

"An act of true love doesn't have to be a kiss, Sonic." Tails explained. "And uh… I for one know you two are pretty close."

"W..We are?" Sonic raises an eyebrow.

"Oh, don't act so oblivious!" Tails states, and looks back to Amy. "If I could help… I would. But I think you're the only that can. You've known her longer…" he states.

"Y-yeah but.."

Tails places a hand on Amy's head, and sighs, as Sonic starts realizing how he really doesn't know what to do, and is at his wits ends with this 'act of true love' thing.

Knuckles bends down, and places Sticks back down, as she ruffles her hair on her head and glares at him, before looking worriedly to Amy, and kneeling down by her too.

Knuckles places a hand on Sonic's back. "Hey, if it's not meant to be, it's not meant to be." he states, as Sonic feels like he too, might not be able to do anything.

"…We're not the judge…" Sonic repeats his last words, and looks up, getting an idea… "Then who is?" he looks up, and smiles.

"…What are you..?" Tails looks to Sonic, as he smiles back to him.

"Fate is."

The four carry Amy up her favorite place on the whole island, a place she's never really been to before, but has heard and read about and always wanted to go.

As the team trek the long way, they come across Eggman, and have to keep a unconscious Amy out of harms way.

Flying the X-Tornado, and having ground control be Sonic and Knuckles, and Sticks to help him combat Eggman in the air, the team go through a lot of hardships to find the spot Amy loves so much, and has dreamed of visiting.

Sonic looks up to the plan, worried about Amy, when it finally lands. Having Eggman close on their heels (He doesn't know why they're running and dodging him, so he's convinced they're trying to get rid of him or ignore him, and it's making him worried and frustrated xD) as they race to find the spot.

They are stopped by some demolition men who state that the area is going to be turned into a resort, as they have to get past them and avoid them too.

Finally reaching there, the team set Amy down and wait, huffing and puffing.

"We've done everything to get her here! How is this not true love?!" Tails cries out.

"Maybe we should of just bought her a puppy." Sticks comments, as the gang gives her a scary eye.

"Not now, Sticks."

"Amy… come on… What more do you want?" Sonic asks, as he closes his eyes and gets down.

"Woah! What are you doing!?" Knuckles exclaims, seeing Sonic bending down.

"What I probably should of man up'd to a long time ago!" he's about to kiss her when Amy blinks her eyes.

He immediately backs out and scoots away, getting up and acting like nothing happened as he didn't kiss her anyway.

"Amy!"

"An act of true love? Maybe the fact that we brought her here and had Sonic admit he would of done the unthinkable made Fate like us? Curse you, Fate. You really made us pull out all the stops…" Sticks glared up, as Tails shook his head.

"Fate's not a person, Sticks."

"Well, if you treat her like that, then no WONDER Amy couldn't wake up!"

Amy sees she's in her dream location and is amazed, hugging the gang, and thanking them, before asking how they got here.

After a long explanation on the trip home, the gang decide to go to the new resort when it comes out, and stay a while there for a well deserved vacation~
